Signs up everywhere stating masks are mandatory yet they did not remind people to wear a mask while at the buffet (they did remind them to wear gloves though so it could have been done) so the majority didn't and employees serving and refilling trays of food were wearing masks below their noses or not at all so if you want everyone's germs on your very mediocre bbq during covid I guess this is the place for you. read more

This place is awesome! We were there in July 2018 and it was all you could eat for $11 which included a drink and a choice of homemade desserts which were delicious! Everything I ate was fantastic! Heading back to South Carolina from Florida along I-95 and wanting dinner to satisfy the hunger but not take too long. Saw the signs for BBQ. The outdoor decor was cute, even the inside seemed to be more personal. We live in SC so couldn't wait for some good BBQ as could see there were a bunch of food behind the counter but couldn't tell what meat (ie chicken, pork, etc). The sign on the wall simply listed price for sandwich plate, so I asked the woman at the counter and so much for southern hospitality. Needless to say, I just had my husband order our meal to go. The hush puppies were good. He liked his ribs, my pulled chicken sandwich was fine. Wished a bit more moisture but maybe sauce would have done that. Nice fried okras too. I had gone back in to get us plastic forks since my husband looked in the bag and didn't see any. They were placed with napkins inside each styrofoam containers with our dish. read more

And the buffet was not what I'd consider a bbq buffet, which is what is hoped for. For meat there was some dry pulled pork and some fried chicken. Where's the brisket? Ribs? Not at this bbq joint, unless you come on a certain day of the week. The mac and cheese was pretty tasteless and the gravy was wicked salty. After two days on the road, we were beyond sick of fast food. Thanks to Yelp, we found this place--just off I-95, a little ways from Savannah--for lunch. A true southern buffet: fresh, home cooking. My husband had the fried okra, spinach, sweet potatoes, gizzards (we think), fried chicken, and potato salad--delicious! I got the mac and cheese, corn nuggets (never had these before!), and pulled pork--yum! Everything tasted clean and fresh. The cherry tomatoes and cucumbers didn't look like typical buffet quality. Collards-meh, Cole slaw-A, home fried chips-A, MAC & cheese-B+, assortment of sides. The dessert table had peach cobbler (B+), chocolate cake (B+). BBQ sauce was orange vinegar only. Went in for a late lunch today. Almost didn't stop because the hours on the sign need to be updated, but boy was I glad we did. The buffet was loaded with southern vegetable dishes and salads. The meats were pulled pork, of course, fried chicken and hash. They have ribs after 5:00. The pork had plenty of outside brown and was very tasty, although light on the smoke. The hash was a little on the sweet side for me, but a shot of Texas Pete fixed it right up. The fried chicken was great. The vegetables were all good. The place looked tired and I did not have much expectation. $10 total for a buffet including drink and dessert. While I did not like some of the items but the following were very good: - fried chicken (5 stars), steamy hot, juicy and crispy - hush puppies (4 stars), yummy crunchy crust and soft inside - sweet tea (4 stars), strong flavor and not too sweet - fried okra (4 stars), tasty - peach cobbler (4 stars), warm with a nice crunchy top) It was nice that they put out fresh fried chicken, hush puppy, a new tray of peach cobbler for us. Delicious!!!! Driving down to Florida and we were looking for someplace we could eat outside with our dog. They have table and chairs outside and are happy to let you come in and out to eat.
