My partner and me got food poisoning last night after eating the food from here. While I was checking the reviews this morning to see if someone else posted about getting food poisoning too last night and saw the reviews how the Manager at this location does get upset if you don't add tip to the payment. I have experienced that too. He expects tips on the pickup orders too. Just for a small amount of tip, this restaurant is loosing customers but the restaurant or the manager doesn't care about that. read more

Not sure why this place has bad reviews, it's amazing! One of our favorite places. The dumplings taste juicy, flavorful, and a million times better than the grocery store kind. For entree we love to get Mongolian beef, but with chicken instead of beef. It's spicy and delicious! The inside of the restaurant is lovely as well. Give this place a try! read more

Nice place.... However, it took someone 5 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drink. I ordered tea, and he didn't ask if I wanted to order an appetizer and I told him I'd also like to order an appetizer and he said "OK hang on". He Never came back. Then a second person came by asked if I wanted something to drink I said I already ordered it but I also wanted to order appetizer and he didn't take my order and then said "OK hang on". Didn't come back. At this point the universe is testing me. Lol. And then the host came by and I waved her down and I said "hey two people asked me if I wanted something to drink they didn't come back I tried to order appetizer from them and they said OK hang on left and never came back". So the host ended up taking my order for the appetizer. Another waiter came by but he helped the people next to me who came in after me took their order and he didn't even turn around, acknowledge me at all or to ask me for my order and then finally another five or 10 minutes later a lady came by and took my order. I ordered three items. One of them came out and of which I Completely finished before the other two. The other two never came out so I got up and I went to the hostess at that time to cancel the order. At that moment the waitress was finally bringing my other two items... I said "just pack them up to go, I'm leaving". You could not bring my food out at the same time. The reason I ordered three things so I could have a variety of food while I was eating. So here is my main issue here and for you all to fix: ask me if I want an appetizer when you ask me what I want to drink and the other issue is bring all the food out at the same time or at least tell me that it might take longer for certain items...or tell me while Im waiting longer than expected that your sorry for the wait and the rest it should be out soon. Just communicate with me, it's called customer service. Steam buns I know could take longer than my dumplings, but the fried rice that I ordered should come out at the same time as the dumplings. It's not my first time ordering Asian food. Common you guys get it together. not sure I will return here or recommend this restaurant. Oh and then in the end she gave me 10% off I'd say to save them from me giving this review they could've tried a little harder. Wake up! read more

Very disappointing when we took friends there to Dumpling House Frisco. The young male Chinese host/manager is consistently rude to customers. It is inexcusable. The lady servers are very nice, so I presume the male rule the restaurant with his attitude, he doesn't look up and just tells the ladies what to do. We asked to sit at a more spacious table that seats 5 people, the rude blunt hostess said that we can only sit there if we have more than 4 and that they were reserved for other guests that had called in. They did not tell the truth. Tables were not reserved. We have 4 in our party. The restaurant was half empty, one hour before closing. Then we asked to talk to the manager - so here comes male young Chinese manager after we waited for 15 minutes for him to show up from the back. He barely looked up and told us we cannot sit in the spacious table on the left although no one is there and no reservations were taken. He then deliberately ignored our request and put us back to the back table by the wall with narrow space to get in between and under the loudspeaker and announced if we don't want to sit there and there is no other place that we can eat at the restaurant. He acts like he owns the place, he doesn't. We know the owners but they are not there at dinnertime. In the meantime, the table that we requested never was occupied the whole time we were there. It was an unpleasant experience, if my guests were not hungry - we would have left the restaurant to go somewhere else that appreciates us. His attitude is extremely rude and condescending. This was not the first time. I noticed from the other reviews - other guests were treated the same terrible way - the 12/26/22 and 9/29/22 guests review etc. We did sit down one time when there was no hostess there when we got tired of waiting. He made a point to "scold" us and pointed out that we are not allowed to go ahead and sit down with our senior guest, and we have to stand up there whenever he or she decide to seat us. He made a special trip to TELL US HIS RULES. The same male server/manager will make an effort to tell you that they have break at 3 pm if you arrive 2:20 pm for lunch and try to rush you and close the door and have you finish your meal bringing you to go boxes and check so that they can close. It is also the same attitude at dinner time when it is 45 minutes before they close. If you call, they will also tell you that they close 30 minutes earlier than the published time schedule. We will patronize another Chinese restaurant that the manager is more pleasant and professional. It is a shame; you need to have pleasant manners and attitude from the wait staff besides good quality food. Too bad the owners are not aware of this particular rude staff since he has been there for a while. read more

I haven't eaten in the restaurant. My orders have been to go or delivery. So far everything is great. So far, the best chow fun I've had since I moved to the DFW area. The dumplings are great and possibly the best in this area. They are clearly handmade. The beef pancake is really good - I suggest ordering this! I only had one issue with my order. I loved it here! They have a great, affordable lunch special that comes with soup, an egg roll, rice and your choice of a main course with plenty to choose from. I ordered the orange chicken. Me and my family were served by Kiam the waiter who was very disgruntled about the tip he received. He put more effort in running out to address his complaint than he was at serving the table. We didn't get any refills, he never told us his name, nor could we even see this young man's face. We had our 3 kids with us so these small social interactions matter. Could I have tipped more? Yes I suppose I could have just like everyone else could tip more but at some point you gotta do more to earn it. He was full of entitlement and could have earned more of a tip if he put the same effort inside as he did when he ran outside to get his two cents in. read more

I ordered my meal online and it was very easy to do. I appreciate that they have many options for lunch specials. I ordered the beef lo mein lunch special and I had to try the pork chive steamed dumplings and they were absolutely delicious! And let me just say the lunch special also comes with a hot and sour soup, an option of fried rice or white rice. I got the fried white rice and it was so good and it also comes with a veggie egg roll. For the amount of food that I got this dumpling House is very affordable with many options to choose from on the lunch menu and regular menu. Horrible service! We waited almost 45 minutes to get our food and our waitress didn't check on us once to notify us about the long wait. The food is great but 1/5 for service. Every interaction has been unfriendly, pickup orders are never ready on time. It's rare that someone even acknowledges you when you walk in. With as much Chinese food there is in the area, this was among the best I've had. Combination fried rice is a nice baseline simple dish, but is done picture perfect here. Scallion pancakes come out unseasoned, but nothing vinegar and soy sauce won't fix. The star of the show was the 小籠包. I can't speak for other food but the top seller: "fried pork dumplings" is really good. The filling and wrapper are scratch made. The filling also has a hint of sesame oil which I like. Eat it with Chinkiang brand black vinegar from Ranch99 for pure authenticity. read more

We love this place and have eaten here many times, but not tonight. We left when they told us there was a twenty minute wait for our party of two. There was nobody waiting when we arrived and the party of four that came in a few minutes after us sat immediately. Apparently a party of two cannot sit at a four top and there are only two tables for parties of two. There were several other open tables just not available for a party of two. Masochists alert! If you want mediocre food served with an abusive waitstaff run don't walk there ASAP. We were the last table to finish eating on a Friday night. Before we were even finished the check was quite unceremoniously dropped on our table. Then the staff started circling our table like sharks waiting to pounce on their preys, staring at us to make us as uncomfortable as possible so we would leave immediately. In the mean time, some incident happened in the front of the restaurant and 4 or 5 women, most emerged from the kitchen, started yelling on top of their lungs I guess trying to come up with a solution. It was epic and deafening! Is this a way to act in front of your dining guests? Rudeness beyond belief! I felt like I was at a fish market surrounded by coarse and uncouth fishwives yelling and trading insults at each other. While we were talking, yet another waitress butted in on our conversation and told us to leave because they're closing. It was barely 10 PM which is listed as their closing time. Honestly, by this time, we were more then ready to leave! Now, the food. Guess the best way to describe it is ok. We ordered the soup dumplings but they arrived at our table without the vinegar/julienned ginger which is de rigueur. When we asked the waiter, he just asked: "oh, you want it?". My companion asked whether we could get 2 small dishes of the vinegar sauce, he rudely told her it's only one per table. What? The best was when it finally appeared, there were no more than 7 or 8 sad strands of ginger floating in the vinegar. Totally laughable. The dough of the PO3) chive pancakes was raw in the bottom and the PO5) beef/onion pancakes were flavorless. Overall, it's quite disappointing. They came in a reasonable time to take our order, but it took a hour to get our food. The lo menu came out with no sauce, meats were nearly nothing., mostly just noodles. The dumplings came out with no sayer as well, no flavor at all. But the orange chicken was good except it was a little soggy on the breading. I think our meal was setting somewhere under a light. Went to dumpling house for lunch with friends. So many great dishes to share. We got a lot of dumplings & dishes to share. Nice young lady took our order. 2 appetizers, order of dumplings, and a noodle dish. The dumpings came out first. then we never saw our wait person again. Later a gentlemen server asked if we would like a to go container for our remaining dumplings. I explained we never got the remainder of our order. The noodle dish came out, then approx. 10 minutes later the appetizers came out. When it came time to pay the bill, I explained what happened, and that by the time the complete order was delivered, the dumplings were cold. They politely appologized, but offered no reparations. We were looking for good food in a friendly atmosphere and we were not disappointed. The Soup dumplings are delicious, if not a bit hard to eat. I had some of the best beef lo mein I've had in the metroplex. The ribs were tasty but came in a big slab of four slathered in sauce with no way to cut them. There was a table near us with a rather thin woman and they kept bring out dish after dish. They had green onion pancakes, steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, a beef entree and more. Where they put all the food I don't know but it all looked really good. We're going back for more tonight. I am going to try the hot and sour soup, fried pork and cabbage dumplings, and maybe snag some steamed dumplings from my wife.
