This place is absolutely terrible. If I could leave no stars, that's what I would've done. Went there the day after Christmas for dinner for the first time. They only had two servers running the entire restaurant so obviously the service is terrible. I would not be surprised the kitchen was probably understaffed as well. We waited 45 minutes before they came and told us it is still going to take a while. Then asked us. Do you still want it or cancel it? We canceled it!! The table right next to us, was getting their food on time. They came after us and left before us. I asked the manager what was the problem with our food? The table next to us was getting their food promptly. His response "they are the owners so we had to give them priority". Yes, he literally said that. First time ordering here to go. Great online ordering as prices matched the menu. Some places use third party apps who add a $1 or more to the actual prices, but not this place. This is a new location of the Plano dumpling house. I came with high expectations since the original store served high quality food. The decor is modern and clean plus all the tableware and sauce containers are branded. Fast service on drinks and appetizers. I know it would take time to make dumplings so we ordered chicken in peanut soy sauce as starter. The restaurant was 50% full and they still manage to bring my dumplings out within 12 minutes which is better than the original store coz they were so busy in the old days. The only star of the show is the BEEF FLAT NOODLE. Everything else is not worth your money. Beef Scallion Roll? Missing Hoisin sauce. Salt and Pepper Tofu? Missing salt and pepper (Yama has better). Crab Rangoons? Freshly fried but bland. Golden Garlic Beef? Not sweet enough or garlicky enough, and not enough meat! Fish Filets? Not enough meat or flavor. Soup dumplings? I've had much better. What a hidden gem in frisco!! Founded in the Preston shopping center next to the target area. This place was so surprisingly good and authentic. The servers barely spoke English but they were very nice and very accommodating. Their menu was all in Chinese and it had pictures. We ordered soup dumpling, beef and tendon noodles, calamari schezuan, and beef pancakes. Everything we ordered were SO DELICIOUS! They have a very large menu so I asked they select what they would recommend. This was a to go order and they weren't busy so it was prepared rather quickly. The restaurant looked very large with plenty of seating granted it was relatively empty when I stopped by. We tried a combination fried rice and some beef and onion dumplings. The fried rice was a decent portion size. It includes more of a salad shrimp or a smaller one where I'd hoped for a larger shrimp however it was a solid combination fried rice. The dumplings were spot on for recommendation as they were delicious. A little light on soup but very very flavorful! This was a win. I would most definitely love to try some of the others! For a to go order it would have been nice to have cutlery and such however I didn't request it and that may have been a requirement that I missed. Stumbled on this gem of a place while on a quick lunch break with my sisters. Every employee was hustling as there was a busy rush of people coming in and out, but the food was delicious and hot! We got the pork and cabbage dumplings (fried), the chicken and mushroom dumplings (fried), sesame chicken (chef's kiss!), teriyaki chicken, and the beef & broccoli. Among the 3 of us, there was very little leftover; we didn't want to stop! I ordered takeout because I hate dining alone in public places in the US, but I ordered: Shrimp Tofu Dumplings, Pork & Chive Buns, Red Bean Paste Pancakes. Dare I say, delicious ? However, I can definitively say that I will never return. I can accept mediocre service, and I understand short staff and an under staffed restaurant. I can not though, accept rudeness and a complete lack of respect for me as a paying customer. Every time I have come I have seen the service go from bad to worse. I can confirm what another review talked about where me and my family of 5 were made to wait specifically for a table of 5 to open up. There were 3 larger tables open and this was an hr before they closed for lunch (I got there at 1:30p and they close from 3p-5p for lunch). When I inquired about the tables that were open, someone rudely told me those tables were for parties of 8. One of those tables already had 6 chairs around it!!! Now I understand saving tables for large parties but when you are 1.5hrs from closing for lunch and still have 3 large tables for large parties it's harder for me to understand not seating me at the one table that already had 6 chairs around it. To me, a paying group of 5 return customers would be good to keep around over a maybe, hypothetical group of 8. I would understand if they told me those tables had reservations or something but once again we were 1.5hrs from close and we were the only family waiting. From now on I will travel the extra 3miles and go to the Dumpling House in Plano. The service is superior in every sense of the word. read more

This is a nice place to stop in for a meal. The dumplings are as promised hot and tasty. The soup dumplings were the biggest hit on the table. Very novel idea to put a delicious liquid inside a cute little purse of dough. The dough is light and a great complement to the soup inside. To be completely honest I'm not a fan of the wrappers. We've been to Dumpling House twice now. Our toddler LOVES the soup dumplings here! It's something that you should always order. Other dumpling related favorites are the beef and chicken pancakes! They're crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. You wouldn't expect any soup in the pancakes just from the looks of them, but there is soup in them! The soup and the ground meat patty on the inside are so flavorful. Between the chicken and the beef, we like the beef the best! We're slowly trying thru other different dishes and so far the Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Beef (aka Beef Flat Noodles at other Chinese restaurants) has been our favorite! I do have to say that the service is a bit slow here so you'll need to expect that you'll get ample time to look over the menu before ordering once you sit down. The last two times we've been here, there's only been two servers for the entire dining room. So good. Family was running some errands in Frisco and we were looking for somewhere to grab some dinner - so happy we found this little spot. We got there around 5:06 (the close for a lunch break and open back up at 5pm). We were seated quickly as we were almost the first ones there at that time. Food came out quickly (it's family style). My husband was SO HAPPY the jalepeno noodles he ordered were actually spicy (too spicy for me though) but if you're looking for a dish that brings some heat, that'll do it. We got the house dumplings steamed and chive pancakes (both delicious). I ordered the pan fried noodle dish and got chicken instead of beef and my kiddos got teriyaki chicken. It had some overpowering seasoning in it. The fried dumplings weren't fried. It was thrown on a skillet for a minute or so and then taken off. The tale of 2 Dumpling Houses About a week apart my wife and I visited the Dumpling House in Fricso and in Plano. These two businesses share a name, but that's it. I will outline each below: ***Frisco Dumpling House Location: This business is located in amongst many dining establishments, in a higher end and busy area. Atmosphere: Much like the Dr.'s call box where it's bigger on the inside, this place is better on the inside... outside is kind of drab, but inside is very nice. Food: The food items we chose were excellent. The quality and cleanliness were also very good. The chef(s) were quite adept at their dishes. Some specifics would be Dishes we tried: Singapore noodles - This dish was perfectly made, the flavors were strong but not overpowering. It was exactly as it should be. Won Ton Tong (won ton soup) - This dish has a great tasting broth, and the won ton were properly filled and also with good flavor. Steamed Gou tchee (dumpling) [note you can also get these pan fried] There are several varieties, we chose the pork ones this time. Wan Yee (Black Fungus / type of mushroom) - so this one would be my only complaint for the Frisco location - the seasoning had something missing (vinegar I believe). But still okay. ***Plano Dumpling House Location: Run down Atmosphere: Run down Food: Disgusting Dishes we tried: House signature dumpling - lacking any aromatics, flavorless, except the meat was sour (aka bad) Singapore noodles - So heavy handed on the curry the noodle dish was slightly grainy. The curry overpowered all other flavors, and this was practically inedible. The table next to us (came after us) also complained about this same dish.
