Location: Dumpling U Date: July 1st, 2026 Service: Take out Went this to this week to dumpling u. My family and I highly enjoy their dumplings they are delicious every time we go there inside it's usually packed We just prefer to go on the website and place the order via online this way is quicker and they give you a time for pickup. However make sure you look at their hours cuz the hours are they open hours from like 11:00 to 2:30 and then from 4:30 to close. We usually order the chicken pan frying dumplings and the pork pan fried dumplings.

I've heard great things about Dumpling U and finally had a chance to try it! I ordered the garlic noodles with chicken, and they were delicious. This was definitely my favorite dish. The chicken was made with breast meat, which is exactly how I prefer it. We also tried the chicken pan fried dumplings. They were just okay, but I did enjoy how crispy they were. I also ordered the hand-fried pork buns. Unfortunately, those were a bit disappointing. While they were very juicy when you bit into them, I felt they lacked flavor. I'm glad I tried them, but I probably wouldn't order them again. That being said, I definitely want to come back and try some of their other dumplings. The garlic noodles are a must order and were easily the highlight of the meal. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, which made for a great experience. If you're in the area, I'd recommend giving Dumpling U a try!

I was really hoping to like this spot but the food wasn't great. We did 2 orders of the soup dumplings. One regular and the other spicy. It had a weird taste to it and we actually didn't finish it, basically took a whole order home which I've never gone to a dim sum spot and had to pack the soup dumplings home before. We usually finish it at the restaurant. The green beans were my favorite but I wouldn't go back just for that. Somehow everything else was either lacking flavor or just tasted off. We did end up packing a lot of it to go and have other people try it. Service was lovely though. Very friendly, attentive and quick.

On this day, I wanted to try Dumpling U. I got there at a good time as it was Happy hour 4ish-5ishpm? I sat for a while. It was a pretty hip happening kind of place. Sean Kingston was playing in the restaurant, people there are all good looking folks and hip, a little different than the Asian restaurants I'm use to. I had the Spicy Braised Beef noodles soup. It was ok. Very little broth almost none, there was no spice at all. The beef was pretty good and easy to eat. The House Beef Roll was pretty darn good! It was light yet filling, good flavor. It something I would definitely try again. I did ask for hot sauce and sweet chil, I only received one of each for about almost$50 worth of food and drinks. My server Devin was cool. As much as I'd like to return to have a drink here, I don't know if I would..

The House Soup Dumplings with Classic Pork were fairly standard and ultimately underwhelming. The dumpling wrappers were too thick and doughy, and they tore apart too easily. The soup broth itself lacked the richness and umami depth that make great soup dumplings memorable. I was also disappointed that no fresh ginger was provided, nor did I see it offered. Traditionally, soup dumplings are enjoyed with fresh ginger and a vinegar-soy sauce mixture, often served on a soup spoon to catch the flavorful broth. That said, the House Special Beef Roll was the standout of the meal. Each roll features a crispy, flaky scallion pancake wrapped around tender five-spice braised beef shank, sweet hoisin sauce, and crisp, refreshing vegetables. The beef was slow-braised until exceptionally tender and infused with warm Chinese five-spice and soy sauce. The combination of savory, sweet, and salty flavors created a satisfying and flavorful bite. Many diners seem to enjoy the soup dumplings more than I did, so your experience may differ. However, I would recommend ordering an additional dish or appetizer if you choose them, as they are not particularly filling on their own. Be aware that the cost can add up quickly. An order of soup dumplings and the beef roll, including tip, came to about $42.

Excellent soup dumplings with plenty of flavorful broth and a delicate wrapper. The pan-fried dumplings were crispy and juicy, and the Shanghai noodles were delicious. The unicorn bao buns were a fun surprise for the kids. Friendly service, reasonable prices, and authentic flavors. Definitely one of the better dumpling spots in the area. We'll be back!

Amazing food and outstanding service! This is our second time dining here, and Joslyn has been incredibly welcoming each time. She provides excellent service and always makes us feel at home. My favorite dishes are the spicy pork dumplings, Shanghai fried noodles, and the cucumber salad. Everything is delicious, and we can't wait to come back!

4.7/5 stars. This place really blew me away! I came during lunch with my coworkers and we ordered several dishes and shared. All the food came out relatively quickly and was hot n fresh. Every single item was delicious. I could tell the food was homemade and it wasn't loaded with msg or salt. It was perfectly seasoned. My favorite were the noodles and chowmein and the deep fried dumplings. This is a great place for a group or family because of the dim sum options and huge portion sizes. The only feedback I could think of is expanding the menu with more protein options. The menu mainly consist of dumplings, chowmein and fried rice. In the future I'd like to see more meat dishes. Other than that, everything they did was offer was great. I would 100% come back here and have already recommended this place to friends and family!

We really enjoyed our meal--the food was delicious and filling, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The only thing to note is that the table was a bit small for all the goodies we ordered. Ordering a little less might make the dining space more comfortable.

We have been wanting to try Dumpling U ever since they opened recently and were honestly impressed with how quick and satisfying the whole experience was. All of our food came out within about 5 minutes of ordering, which was impressive given how much we had ordered. We ordered a mix of dishes to try a little bit of everything. The House Special Beef Roll was a standout, crispy with a really nice beef-forward flavor that made it super satisfying and how I remember it tasting growing up. The classic Pork Soup Dumplings were decent, though the wrapper was a bit on the thicker side, and I felt like the pork filling could've used a little more seasoning to really enhance the flavor. The Pan-Fried Pork Buns were great, and I appreciated the heads-up from the staff that they come out piping hot and can squirt juice if you bite in too fast (they weren't kidding). Even better, they held up surprisingly well when reheated the next day. We also got the Dry Fried String Beans, which were super fragrant and flavorful, though just slightly on the salty side. The Honey Walnut Shrimp had huge pieces of shrimp with an extra crunchy coating, definitely a must order. And of course, can't go wrong with a side of white rice to have as a base for all our dishes. Overall, a great spot with fast service and a good variety of dishes. I'd definitely come back again and would recommend to anyone wanting to have authentic Chinese food.

Wanted to give this place a shot because it's close to my new work place and really enjoy it!…read more It's attached to the Tea Shop, which you have to walk through first to get to the restaurant. You'll then have to wait to be seated at the register. I think this set-up is kind of awkward but hey, at least they have cute sidewalk seating. There are plenty of tables and long benches to sit at and the restaurant itself feels clean and well-lit! The staff are super helpful also. Tried the House Special Beef Pho and it was pretty tasty! You do have the option to order your dish with regular thin noodles, flat noodles, or egg noodles. The broth is basil-y and the flavor has great depth. They have a self-serve station for condiments where you can grab some chili oil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime. My favorite thing about this restaurant is that I don't feel too bloated after eating here (compared to other pho restaurants). Been enjoying this restaurant and eating here at least once a week!

My memory is shot. I don't want to be handing out 5 stars so easily but I think they deserve it. The restaurant is very clean, and I love the little Asian lanterns they have, all different, above each table. Plenty of seating. When we got there (a little after 5), there was only one other table occupied... by the time we left (6:30), every table was nearly taken. Our waitress, as well as the other on the floor, were both very welcoming and friendly. They handled the service remarkably as a team. The fact that they were a packed house and still were very attentive with us, checking how we're doing, checking on our water refills... these are the little things I appreciate most (and, of course, good food). I got the Pho with the Fatty Brisket, my friend got just the Steak Pho. They have a bar against the wall with all garnishes you may need to grab what you'd like. This is pretty smart... It saves them from waste. Instead of giving people items they may not use-- they would just grab what they'd like themselves. My friend grabbed her goodies, I prefer mine as is. To me, if your broth is good and doesn't require me to flavor it... I'll eat it just like that (unless I feel like adding spice). I've only ever been to a few other Pho places where I had to season up the broth myself...definite no no for them. All my friends who have gone out to eat Pho with me know I eat it just how I get it. Pho from my Mama is a different story though... I put the works (not because it's not flavorful) but, it's just different. Moving on... They also have a Teazona in their establishment. I've tried a few different drinks in the past but came to regularly deciding on the Tiramisu Milk Tea (no flan for me, light boba). Make sure to shake it well. You can also let them know your preference on the level of sweetness. We both got this tonight and it nearly tipped me over on the full scale. Couldn't finish it. Everything was really good though. Pho was the perfect choice for this weird, gloomy weather we've been having. The price is a bit up there but that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays. But-- for the portion, the quality, and the service? Worth it.

Their dishes have their own unique twist, and while they may not always follow the traditional recipe, everything is incredibly flavorful and statisfying. The flavors are simple, approachable, and easy to enjoy. Making it a spot that almost everyone would love. They mainly focus on the new American table. A little fusion of some other ethnicity food here. They mainly focus on their limited menu and always wing it everytime. The consistency is always on point. I love their fresh farm to table ingredients. Their plate is super affordable and beautiful. AMBIANCE :: This place is always pack. The line are always long but it does move up pretty quick too. Indoor is always pack and stuff. They do have a large patio too. I wouldn't really recommend sitting out in the patio during the hottest time of the day but it's not that bad too. They do have mist and coolers outside. Artificial leaves covering up the place cools it down a lot too. The PROS for dinning in the patio is the fresh air. SERVICE : Is great. With the high volume of guest and crowed it is. They are so patient and friendly. RATE : 5/5 PLATES :: If you're undecided and wanted a little bit of everything. I recommend choosing a plate. You get a little bit of everything. Ill say everything taste generic but so good too. WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : SHRIMP W/ GARLIC BUTTER : Their garlic butter shrimp is so buttery. It's slightly seasoned and salted. RATE : 5/5 WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : SALMON W/ TZATZIKI SAUCE : I love their soft salmon with a lightly crispy crust. Llightly seasoned. It's not fishy and gamey at all. I love their tzatziki sauce and it paired so well with the lemon juice too. RATE : 5/5 WOOD GRILLED PROTEIN : ANCHO CRUSTED PRIME TRI TIP : Nicely seasoned and salted. It's always come out medium rare, tender and juicy. RATE : 5/5 NOTE :If you like medium rare pieces of beef. Go for their tri tip. If you wanted more cook go for their ribeye. The cons about their ribeye is that they are not consistent. You can ask to be remade but it does take them awhile to cook it too. SIDES : TEPPANYAKI FRIED RICE W/ BACON : I love their bacon teppanyaki rice. It's probably a must have everytime you go there. I love their sweet sauce on top of the rice. It's a kids favorite choice too. The sodium level is perfect. Usually bacon would overly salted it but this fried rice is perfect. RATE : 5/5 SIDES : RIGATONI W/ SAUSAGE, PECORINO : Straight up generic boiled pasta with sour tomato sauce and sausage. It's so simple but its ok. I'll say this could be kids top 2nd favorite side dish. RATE : 4/5 FOUNTAIN DRINKS :: I love their unique fountain drinks. It's mainly focus on Mexican fountain drinks. By the time we got to eating the cake. It was perfectly thawed and surprisingly delicious. It was moist and full of the fruit compote - they did not skimp on the fruit. It was lovely and highly recommended. When I come back to Fresno, I'd probably try their brunch items. Four stars for their cake.
