    Beef noodle soup

Ordered delivery a few times and the food is really good. Beef noodle soup is delicious and great portion. Pork belly buns are tender and a must get. House fried rice another delicious and love the portion size. They listen to the delivery instructions. Hot oil wontons another winning item wontons are hefty and juicy.

Randomly saw this place and decided to give it a try! The bao were very tasty and I really enjoyed the Chinese greens they are just steamed so I like them plain. It's nothing fancy but healthy. It was missing hoisen sauce that Chinese places usually put on top. They only had their house soy vinegar and hot sauce for the dumplings. The dumplings were ok, the skin is a bit too chewy for my taste. Overall it's a nice little spot, they have a bathroom and it's clean. It's self service style where you order and they bring you the food but then you clean up after yourself and get your own utensils and condiments. Cash only spot!!!

I can see why this is an average place. This is a serve yourself place and the person at the front wasn't even that friendly. I get that it is cash only. So, that's one downside. I guess since there are banks everywhere that drawing cash at a reputable place isn't so hard. Unto the food the dumplings that I ordered were good, but the noodle soup wasn't so great. I wish it was, but it was subpar and needed more flavoring. I had to add a lot of hotsauce. All in all, I'm not sure if I'll return.

    Shrimp over rice

I've been here before and don't remember it being this bad. I tried their dumplings this time. Before I got the shrimp over rice which was alright. The dumplings were terrible. Seriously, I couldn't even finish them. Frozen dumplings from Trader Joe's are SIGNIFICANTLY better. I'm sad to right such a poor review as I love Sunnyside and supporting the local businesses... but I truly don't think you should waste your money on these dumplings. Oh, and it's cash only but they still tax you. The dumplings are $4.50 but I was charged $4.90........

Ordered delivery. Among the food we ordered, the scallion pancake had hardly any scallion?!? The sauce was just soy sauce, For some reason thought it would be different. Underwhelming ‍

Ordered the pork and chive dumpling and the braised beef noodle soup. Worst beef noodle soup and dumplings I've ever had. The soup tasted bland and had zero flavor. I had to experiment and add soy sauce + siracha but it was hopeless. The brisket was way over cooked. The dumplings looked crispy on appearance but were an odd texture and were too doughy. Save your time and money and make instant noodles and dumplings at home.

Fav restaurant ever, every time I go I get grilled shrimp over rice which is top tier But anyways service is nice and good, pretty fast, too. Food always hits, yum yum, and the portions are pretty good, lowkey big which is cool but yeah 11/10 recommend!

    Veggie Dumplings

Came here for some veggie dumplings during lunch. Dumplings cost $4.25 which is a pretty solid deal. It's cash only, which is kinda funny because they charge tax on food as well (hmmmmmm) You get about 5 dumplings in your order. I ordered it for takeout and it took about 10 minutes or so to receive my order. You can get it either fried or steamed. I chose pan fried, but I gotta try it out steamed next time. Is it the world's best dumplings? No, but it satisfies my cravings.

    Beef Bao Buns
    Isi A.

We ordered the cucumber salad, and all bao- variations, scallion pancakes and spicy beef and kimchi. The bao buns were perfect fluffy clouds, melting in your mouth. The vegetables on them were marinated and tasted fantastic! The beef-kimchi, was mildly spicy and so flavorful. If you are in the fence about ordering here, please do. You won't be disappointed.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

I got the wonton soup and pork juicy buns. The soup was different from other wonton soups with the addition of cilantro and some nice balancing flavors for the salt, and the juicy buns were your classic soup dumplings with a very nice rich sauce to dip in. The dandan noodles my friend ordered were maybe my favorite, they were the perfect level of spicy and so flavorful without being overwhelming. I'd go back just for my own plate of those. The service was quite fast, and it's a cute little shop that feels like a small town Chinese restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well. Some of my favorite Chinese food I've found outside of Lower Manhattan !

Once she got to her destination, she opened the food container so that she can begin eating. As soon as she looked down, she noticed that there appeared to be something on her shrimp and was compelled to walk back to the restaurant and ask for either a refund or newly prepared food. The host/clerk (person behind the counter) told her it was grease and refused to either refund her or prepare a new meal. So my daughter sent me a picture of the food and I told her it looks like the shrimp has herpes! Never the less, she didn't eat it nor did she cause a fuss and Just walked out. The consequence of poor customer service usually results in a closed business. It's a shame how these restaurants come to our neighborhood/country and refuse to provide valuable customer service. I gave 3 stars because I'm pretty sure she went there before and it was good enough to go back.

As a local NYer who grew up with this type of comfort food, it's important to understand the distinctions. If you're expecting restaurant style food, do your research next time. When you're looking for a quick fix of stir fried foods, rice dishes drenched in glazed sauces, and crispy appetizers, this place did the trick. On my rainy day visiting my companions and bringing back takeout, this place provided us the food we needed. Most Chinese food takeout places would slather on so much salt, high sodium seasonings, watered down sauces, and very stale old cold rice. This place did none of this and they did a great job with their mixtures and flavors on my dishes. My only troubling thing was deciding what to get as everything looked good to order. Food bought on my side was the beef and broccoli - easy to tear through the beef bits, glazed and marinated nicely, and the broccoli was cooked well. My crab rangoons (what this place is known for) was extremely crispy and still hot when I arrived to my friend's place with melty cheese goodness in the center. Last is the shrimp eggroll - crispy and a bit bigger in portion than I usually get at other locations. No complaints on any items ordered and they all tasted fantastic. Staff is very nice and professional too. They also make sure to not miss out on giving any utensils or sauces to go with your orders. A better option for takeout Chinese food compared to the other neighboring places in this area as noted by my friend and Astoria local.
