The water they have provided to you is probably the best water I've had so far in terms of restaurant water, it's like the 4 am cold water you drink.

There was a sign that says to take the QR Code to put in my order. I stood there by the counter thinking ok someone will come eventually. A man came to counter and greeted hello and next thing you know it he walked to the back of the restaurant where the kitchen was. I scratched my head thinking, OK I GUESS THEY WERENT KIDDING about ordering through their QR CODE. I had to turn off my WIFI on my phone because XFINITY WAS interfering with my browser access. I'm stepped outside in front of their restaurant and ordered. I ordered their bento with a garlic sausage and a beef soup. What's bad is by waiting in their showroom dining area, I was never given a receipt to confirm if I put in my order. I'm not even sure if it went through. My card confirmed they took my money. So I guess it went through. Their QR code app doesn't even have a way to tell me if I made the order or not. Checked my email and still no receipt. My food was ready in 5 mins. On my way out as the young man handed me my package, I asked him "is this how people normally pay by QR CODE?" He answered with a hesitant tone, "Yes " I replied, "ok just checking." The Garlic Sausage reminded me of the Filipino Garlic longaniza. Slightly different. Maybe it's lighter but it tasted good. There was steamed cabbage and garlic seaweed. Pretty good. I think the food reminds me of home style cooking.

There was also an adequate amount of vegetables in the soup. The broth was clear and flavorful. The honey garlic spareribs were sweet and scrumptious. There were even fried whole cloves of garlic which complimented the spareribs well. The batter on the spareribs was not too thick and was crispy even though it was coated with sauce. Service was adequate as the workers refilled water and offered a plastic cup for my child. I noticed there was an emergency exit, however there were chairs blocking the door and the door was locked shut with a metal bar going across. The illuminated exit sign above the door was misleading as this door would not be suitable as an emergency exit. If there were an emergency it would be hazardous for everyone in the restaurant to leave through the front door in a chaotic scramble that would result in additional injuries/death.

I've spent many dinners here since then and I have to say BA has been one of my go to spots ever since the doors opened. They began with a focus on their awesome hot pots and some appetizers and have expanded to have a wide array of food options. I love a good soup, but I have to admit their rice bowls have become my new fave. The pork belly with quail eggs and the popcorn chicken bowls are our go to entrees now. We stop by after every pickleball game we have and our group can't help but order what we consider the "necessary" BA bites. AKA most of the menu. Salt and pepper tofu (my fave), grilled mackerel (yum), shrimp skewers (a classic), cucumber salad, garlic mushrooms and more. Never went wrong with trying something new from the menu. This place has always been a vibe and I've celebrated many an occasion here. But it's also one of our fave can't decide on anything dinner spots. Boiling Avenue will always hold a special place in my heart. Cheers!

They will buzz your buzzer and you pick up at the designated window. The service was quick - we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering. There are self-served condiments table on the right side of the pick up window. You can load as much condiments as you like. They have pickled mustard greens, pickled long beans, bamboo shoots, roasted soy bean, roasted peanuts, scallions, cilantro, and hot sauces. - A1 Guilin Rice Noodle: the noodle was very soft (but a bit too soft for me). The meat pieces were tender and good. The crackling pork pieces were super crispy and gave a nice texture to the dish. - A10 Braised Pork Dry Tossed Noodle: the curly noodle was firmer type than A1 and had a bit of chew (which was similar to instant noodle) and I prefer this. The braised pork was flavorful and delicious! - B11 Preserved Duck Egg with Tofu: the tofu was soft and was a good combo with the preserved duck egg. The egg itself didn't have very strong taste so it was very pleasant. The spicy sauce was mild for me but the overall dish was good. - C1 Old Gui Lin Boba Milk Tea (less sugar): good and milky. The less sugar version was the perfect sweetness for us. The boba pieces were chewy and good.

I had the Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Soup. The meat isn't the type of meat I like (lots of tendon/cartilage), but it has good flavor. I really did not like the pork in the Pork Rib Rice Noodle Soup. It was super tough! I did enjoy the flavor of the soups though. It seemed like the broth was high fat content. I really liked the self-serve condiment bar. This was one of the highlights for me. I'll be a returning customer.

The shrimp one was $43 for 40pc.

We got the pan seared pork & vegetable dumplings, wonton soup in broth, BBQ buns, and Fried Rice with Sausage. To drink we had a Jasmine Green Iced Tea; which was very floral, and Taro Milk Tea. The food was hot, fresh and very flavorful. My favorite was the wonton soup. The broth was light, not too salty but tasty and they gave plenty of wontons & broccoli. The pan seared dumplings were phenomenal and the dipping sauce brings the flavors together. I will like to try the fried ones next time. We enjoyed our meal and will recommend to our family and friends when looking for good dumplings and great customer service in the Sacramento area.

We went by on a Sunday around 12:30 and were able to join the yelp wait list as we parked and get a table for 3 easily. Fair warning if you are a larger group and come at peak times, join the waitlist early or be ready to wait a bit! The interior is bright, lively with a ton of bright light and decorations. There is a good amt of seating but let me tell you, it fills up FAST. The menu is EXPANSIVE with tons of options for omnivores and vegetarians alike. I will admit the impossible siu mai grabbed my attention pretty fast because I had never seen a vegetarian siu mai before sooo we had to order it. My friends shared the pork xlbs and we got the garlic green beans and the garlic noodles to share as well! Honestly, it was like being in a flow state between the garlic noodz and the green beans alone; highkey could eat multiple plates of just those two back to back to back l o l The siu mai was also delish but the other two dishes were somehow better. The soy/vinegar and chili oil they give for dipping is so good and hits that perfect note between salty/tangy/spicy. Prices are fair for the quality and I would love to go back and try more of their vegetarian options! I appreciate that this a spot that both vegetarians and their omnivore friends can go~ Have to go back to try their desserts including the egg tarts that sold out!
