You kinda know what you're getting into when you come here. If you're coming here on a music night and you want to be able to hold a conversation, you're probably going to have to find a spot outside to do so. The beer is passable. When you've got breweries like 7th Sun down the street, Cigar City and Coppertail in Tampa and Cycle in St. Pete it's hard to compare. DunBrew might be the oldest microbrewery in Florida, but their beer list doesn't have to reflect that, does it? So, you're probably wondering about the selling point: The food is actually pretty darn good for the price. Affordable, nice portions and, most importantly, tasty. It doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not, and that actually makes it pretty perfect, if you ask me. Which you didn't, but I'm telling you anyway. I usually have to resist the poutine in order to try something else on the menu whenever I find myself here. Service can be pretty spotty. Even if it's not incredibly busy you will probably find yourself waiting for a beer for an unacceptable amount of time. Then again, some people are more patient than me. read more

Was in town for the day and on the advice of a friend decided to check this place out. It was seat yourself so my group of three sat down and waited. It was a Friday just before 5 so there was some crowd there just prior to Happy Hour. However after a fairly long wait no one came over to us to bring us menus or get us drinks. Finally a server came over and apologized and brought us drinks and within another minute or two someone else came over to grab our order. Despite the rocky start the service was excellent. Not only was our server able to refill our drinks as soon as we needed a refill each and every time, but he was just an overall good dude who took the time to talk to us a little. So overall we couldn't have been happier with the service. The beer was good. I tried the Apricot Peach beer since it was considered their best seller and was surprised with the flavor. You could get the taste of the two fruits in there but this wasn't an especially fruity beer either, making it a great mix. Unfortunately we didn't stay longer so I didn't get to try a few others that interested me. The food was five stars. I got the Snakebite Shredded Pork Tacos with the hard shell Tacos and wow. The meat was just soft and juicy and the flavor of the snakebite sauce had the perfect amount of spicy and sweet not to mention the jalapeños and cheese. I also liked the chips and salsa. Definitely something I went to have again as soon as possible. The atmosphere was also great. They had a DJ playing an interesting mix of music which was a good mix for what they were trying to do. The brewery setup also made for a different setup to check out than a typical restaurant and the overall decor was also interesting. I'm not from the area but this was a memorable meal for sure. Awesome brewery! this place is larger than most and offers some good beers. We arrived at 730pm and had one of their staple beers Peach Apricot Wheat. Gave us such a good buzz. at 745pm the drummers started coming in for the drum circle. Someone placed a drum in front of us and stated it was free use. We jammed out ate a delicious Black bean burger and headed out after a couple hours. I highly recommend going on Drum Circle night. read more

I really enjoyed the beer, but this place needs to get their staffing organized better. The place was packed over the holiday weekend, but they had decided to only call in half the staff! It took a lifetime to finally get the beer and every table was a fight to sit down at. Finally, once everyone was seated with their beer, the brewery atmosphere could be fully enjoyed. Been coming here for several years and good but nothing special food...Havent been here for a few months.....glad we came back...a beautiful Sunday afternoon...new menu - all fresh made - pretzel bites yummy, chicken wings - some of the best ever. First off...The best craft beers, especially the Red Ale. I'm from south of Boston but have family in and around Dunedin. So traveling 1300 miles to see family but a stop at the Brewery is a necessity. Delicious craft beer and unbelievable wings "never had better"! The staff are polite and knowledgeable about the products. Great live music as well. So if your bored in town or if your traveling in the area, stop in. Came here for a Flight of brews after the Dunedin orange festival! Some stoner lady told us it was a 25 minute walk off main street but luckily it was only 2 blocks away from main street in Downtown Dunedin, maybe a 10min walk off the beaten path through a residential area. Had Wheat ale with an orange in it, apricot peach ale, hefe Man with an orange peel, and a red ale. They were all pretty good. The red ale was a little bitter for my tastes but I still finished it. Surprisingly this is Florida's oldest brewery but it was only established in 1996. That just shows you how recent the Florida brewery phenomena is and theres already a ton of breweries in Tampa! We had a good time! There is plenty of street parking. Service was quick and bartenders were knowledgeable. Decor is a large Open high ceiling warehouse with a bar and several large Brewskie fermentators but it doesn't get too loud. They could have had livelier music. Theres really faint low key music in the background but I can't place my finger on what kind of genre it is and then I found out 2 different songs we're playing at the same time lol. read more

As other reviews mention, the Dunedin Brewery is a laid back place where you can spend a few hours. It has a decent food menu in addition to its brews, which is unique and impressive. I recommend coming here for the beer first and the food second. When I was new to Dunedin, I thought this was more of a restaurant than a brewery based on the pictures, and made the mistake of inviting friends to dinner on a Friday night. That was a disaster, because it's packed on Friday nights and people are vulturing tables everywhere. I came back on a Sunday afternoon with my husband when we were riding our bikes (it's a street away from the pinellas trail). We sat on picnic tables outside, and ordered beer & food. I had a summer shandy, which was crisp and refreshing. We ordered an appetizer of fried cheese curds, which was amazing! People from Wisconsin have told me that cheese curds should squeak when you eat them, and these did. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here! Went on a pubcrawl with some locals, who kept saying "we'll wait until we get to Dunedin Brewery to eat". Well worth the wait! I had some kind of spicy stout, that was tasty and not too heavy. Also had the blackbean burger, which actually... our entire group ordered as well. House made blackbean burger with guacamole, lettuce and tomato. The place was packed and had a chill vibe to it. We spent some time indoors and the rest of the evening was outside. I loved the tanks of beer that are brewing right there in the dining area. The beer was delicious and they had a great selection. I had the apricot ale and the oktobeerfest ale. I must say though that their Summer Buzz is some of the best beer I have had and has a very high alcohol content. The staff seemed nice enough and were attentive. I will be going back for some of that Summer Buzz when they start brewing it again. read more

Maybe I'm too old. ... but this place is crummy dirty. There was a very deep layer of sooty dirt on every upper service! ! The sign over the bar was coated with sticky looking stringy dust. The bottles of beer lined up were very dirty. It is a working brewery, that area looked vest clean. The bar was full of crumbs and dry droplets of beer. The giant glass bottle if hops etc at end of bar was very dirty. The cash register was visibily dusty. The area between the dirt and the clean glasses was very close. It really creeped me out. The burger and chicken burrito were fine, service a little lackadaisical, the group at the table next to us were discussing how they felt when they get high! My husband loves microbrewery pubs, but I won't be going back. read more

This is our go to spot!! The food is so amazing for a pub. Their doing it fresh!! We moved to Florida and this was the first place we visited to have a beer after the long trip. We fell in love with the beer, the food and the service!! We even found a home near by to ensure we could visit often. We eat here about three times a week. They never fail to impress, the wings are on point, the servers know the beers on tap. The pulled pork, FRICKEN THE BEST I HAVE HAD SO FAR! They could have better patio service but they do allow you to bring your dog, so over all i can walk to get my beer when they are packed to be able to relax with the whole family. The WORST service I've had that I can remember. The one star is strictly for the food and even that wasn't anything to write home about. I could overlook that but the incredibly AWFUL service cannot be overlooked. My first visit is my last and I will deter as many people as possible from coming here. Good beer. Good band. Awful bartenders. Walked in, good mood and upbeat. Cool band playing. Female bartender, late twenties to mid-thirties, looked me straight in the eye. No smile, no hello, no nothing. Then she turned around and walked away. Second bartender, early twenties male. Walked around behind the bar with his head down. Went over to move some glasses from point A to point B while I stood at the bar. Band still rocking. Me not rocking. Female bartender finally comes over (ugh, what a hassle for her). I smile and say hello. Ask for a beer. She pours it, then immediately hands it to another customer three empty seats away. Had she run out of meds earlier today? He tells her it's my beer. She grabs it and brings it over. "Four fifty," she declares. I hand her a five. She rings it up and tosses my change in her tip jar. She walks away. I had a dollar bill in my hand, a normal tip for a beer. I feel lucky to catch her eye on the rebound. "My change?" She grimaces. "Oh, you want your quarters?" She digs them up with exaggerated effort and lays them down on the bar in front of me. No apology offered. "I was going to tip you a dollar," I said. "No worries," she replied and walked away. Since when is it the server's decision to keep my change and then act as if she had done me a favor in exchange for her arrogance? Not. A quality brewpub with quality bands needs better service. These bartenders obviously don't know what the hell they are doing, and don't care. Rude. Stupid. Offputting. DB, please train your bartenders how to treat customers. Surely in this job market, and any other, there are adults who are willing to help you win new customers--not lose them. read more

Only rating for beers and atmosphere, we did not eat here. My boyfriend and I came here for a quick beer on a Saturday. I typically don't drink/like beer and I told this to the bartender and he gave me a few samples of what he thought I might like and explained them to me and I ended up getting one that had orange juice brewed with it and it was very good. My boyfriend had a brown ale and it was good as well. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed and everyone seemed pretty friendly. We would definitely go back again. read more

The Brewery is my favorite local spot to hang out with friends, hear some great live music and try out different beer and bar grub. This place is ALWAYS crowded for a very good reason. My favorite beer on tap is the biere de cafe, which has a rich blend of coffee and chocolate flavors which are perfectly balanced with the beer aroma. The apricot ale is also good, with a mix of fruity apricot and spices blended for excellent taste. If you are interested in sampling a small taste of the beer before you order an entire glass or pitcher, just ask for a sample, the friendly staff are always happy to oblige you! If beer is not your preference, try out the red sangria, another awesome winner! The nachos and fried banana peppers (dipped in ranch!) are nothing short of amazing, the perfect compliment with a cold, frothy beer.
