I drove up to this location at around 8:30am and went to the drive thru. I was ordering a dozen donuts and was told that they did NOT have any donuts! I was confused and asked her when they'd be ready and she responded with IDK. What in the world is that? I had to wait in the drive thru line until everyone was finished in order to leave. We used to love going through the drive thru at Loveland every morning and afternoon untill the staff kept messing up our "regular" order. They knew our faces and our car, yet somehow, our order was wrong upon receiving it. When we would call, we would be treated as a con artist and told that they had too many people being dishonest to correct the issue for us, even if we were buying multiple other things. It is disheartening to put it mildly that this is happening. We now rely basically on Ft.Collins store as the management team there is kind and understanding. They do not treat you as a list looking to get a free beverage. I don't know if this is a rule governed by the owners or not, but please understand, it is chasing away regular customers that have supported your franchise since you opened. One tiny sign on the front door that whole lobby is closed all the while a drive through is getting crowded. Staff is Incompetent high school or college students. They couldn't give correct change and then had to get someone else to rectify the order. The person who came over to rectify it was rude and then outright insulted me. Getting the order, the donut was smashed. Come on people work on your customer service. A little kindness goes a long, long way. Surely you do training, right? Not the way to get repeat business. Being from the east coast, I expected the classicly quick, friendly, and precise service from dunkin. NOT HERE! The person I ordered from had no idea what kind of bagels they had, charged me double for a turbo shot, and then forgot my muffin. I may be a bit picky but come on, it's dunkin freaking donuts and you have 12 other people working there, just ask for help guy! Otherwise, coffee was good, as per usual. I was so excited when I heard that Dunkin' Donuts was coming to Fort Collins. I love Dunkin' Donuts, some of the best donuts and coffee ever. Except this location. The coffee tasted as though it was burnt, tasted like metal, and was so hot, it literally took five hours before I could even attempt sipping it. The donuts were really tiny, and tasted... Not like a Dunkin' Donuts donut. It tasted like three day old donuts from the gas station, and had the same consistency. They're open until 11 P.M., but if you go after about three in the afternoon, good like finding any donuts, all the decent ones have been taken, and the left overs are dry and the rejects of the batch. There's about fifty employees at all times, (an exaggeration, of course, but there are so many of them) and they stare at you when you walk up to the counter. They're under trained, which is not their fault, but the employer's. They just seem confused. Awful. Never going back. If I want a good Dunkin' Donuts donut, I may as well fly to where I've had the good ones in the past: Illinois, and Las Vegas. read more

The staff at all of the Dunkin Donuts locations in Northern Colorado have been great! What really bums me out is the fact that more people take the time to spit out the unfortunate experiences than relay all the good. I have seen first hand at all locations, during busy times no less, that they try.to make every customer happy! I have had a mistake or 2 happen, but have ALWAYS had it fixed immediately. I have numerous friends from the east coast that rave about Dunkin Donuts, so I thought I would check their new FoCo location out. I have to say, it seems like the kind of donut shop where cops would hang out on a break from their overnight shift (though I guess they'd have to go before 11 pm our after 5am, since they're not open all night). I'm not a fan of their setup -- you can't really see the assortment of donuts until you get to the front of the line -- so I just hurriedly asked for an old fashioned, or rather sour cream in their parlance. It was okay ... not really enough crenulations for that satisfying crispy crunch, though. But they are open at the insanely early hour that I leave for work, so I imagine they will be a convenient coffee stop for me. read more

I was really hoping I would be able to give Dunkin Donuts a better review. The donut variety is really good and the prices are good. The drive thru is nice and they are open until 11pm. The service was good and the people are friendly. Now to talk about the actually donuts themselves. We had a dozen which included; glaze, chocolate with sprinkles, blueberry, jelly, vanilla filled, chocolate glazed, strawberry glaze, and old fashioned. EVERY single donut we had tasted old and stale. It was as if we got dry donuts made a day or too prior. The only donuts that tasted somewhat edible were the glaze. Normally when we get donuts my kids devour them in minutes. The majority of these donuts are still sitting in a box on my counter as no one wants to eat them :( I would say this place is good for drinks and maybe breakfast when the donuts are really fresh. Not a fan. I used to stop by DD quite often on my way to campus in the mornings; the coffee is alright - not my favorite, but it's a convenience thing. This morning I ordered a dozen munchkins and, after paying and driving away, realized they had only given my 6. Further, the donut holes were dry and pretty tasteless.. I was very disappointed. Maybe someone in the kitchen was just having an off-day, but I think it's fair to expect to get what I pay for. I will not be returning to this Dunkin Donuts shop. The 2 employees who work late 7-17-2018. Very very rude. We came in about 8;30 pm to buy donuts, Coffee latte & macchiato and 2 small ice cream in a cup. They forgot to make our coffees. The other employee is so grouchy. We waited so long for our coffees. Finally I stood up and asked them. They forgot about it. Then when they made it. My latte taste bitter & my friend the same no taste but bitter. She ordered macchiato with caramel. Then while we are eating our donuts with our coffee, They turn off the lights on us. It's so dark. If they make our coffee right away, we were gone by then. This 2 employees was a jerk. They know that we are still eating our donuts and drinking our coffee that they forgot to make for us. . Ordered a Brown Sugar Cookie Cold Foam Cold Brew for my wife. When I got to the window they handed me a drink that looked very dark and not like the picture. I asked if this was the brown cookie cold foam and the girl took it back and asked another employee. She poured some out and put in foam and then came to the window and proceeded to lecture me about how to order a coffee. She said I have to say that I want the cold foam because it costs more. I said what I ordered and then she proceeded to argue with me that I didn't order that, that all I said was cold brew which is completely ridiculous. Why would I not order what I wanted and then complain at the window? She said "we won't charge you this time" as if I give a fu*k about 30 cents. What would have been nice is if she had taken my order correctly the first time. If that's not possible, apologize for the mistake and make it right. Don't argue with me about what I said. First let me say that I was born and raised on the east coast. We are so prideful about Dunkin Donuts. When I moved to Fort Collins 2 years ago I was so excited to have a Dunkin Donuts here. It reminds me of home, I love the coffee and I've always had amazing experiences back home. I'm so disappointed and infuriated with this Dunkin' Donuts though that if I could give it no stars, I would. Over the past 2 years I've had numerous awful experiences here. Wrong orders, long wait lines, not being acknowledged while standing in line but MOST importantly, I've experienced disrespect from the employees and attitudes that should never take place in a customer service setting - or in any setting, ever. Today was the tipping point for me. I went inside because the drive through line was long, wasn't acknowledged and waited to be served for 6 minutes, then my order which was an ice coffee had no ice in it. I asked the employee to put ice. She responded arrogantly, I repeated my self and said please, she put ice in the coffee, I said thank you so much, and she rolled her eyes and turned around. I said "you could say your welcome" and she laughed in my face and walked away. I was appalled. I walked out, let myself calm down, then called to talk to the manager to give constructive feedback. She, too, was arrogant and disrespectful and yelled over the phone telling me I was wrong and she trains all of her employees to be polite and continued to be attacking rather than a professional receiving important customer feedback and accepting it with grace or kindness. Unfortunately that was it for me, I love Dunkin' Donuts but will NEVER be going to this location again. It's disgraceful quite honestly and sad that they treat people the way they do. read more

Grew up on DD in Chicago and was so excited for them to come back to Northern Colorado. Went around opening day was was treated to fast service and a tasty, fresh and soft chocolate cream filled doughnut. Talked the Hubby into going back this weekend- early Sunday morning to be precise. Each ordered a breakfast combo (him- turkey sausage in egg something, and me a steak and egg bagel). Also scored a 1/2 dozen because we were at DD, after all. The breakfast sandwiches were meh. The egg texture on mine was wierd- rubbery. Steak was more like a hamburger. Hubby was not impressed with his Turkey sausage whatever. Then came the hashbrown. What the heck?? 5 to an order? The bottom of the bag was barely full. We finished, unimpressed. Walked out to the car and decided to split a chocolate dipped cake doughnut- it was dry and meh. I usually discount one-star reviews, especially when they're based on a single (typically first-time) visit. So take this for what it's worth. Short review: don't bother. Seriously, if you want even a mediocre donut, save yourself a lot of time and hassle (property access and parking here are ridiculously impossible) and go to Safeway or King Soopers for a donut. Even a box of Entenmann's chocolate donuts might be better. They for sure will cost a lot less. Better yet, go to LaMar's. I could just end this here, but to be fair, I'll explain why you should just drive on by. Longer review: I've eaten at Dunkin' Donuts (DD) many times in the past when we lived in another state (it's been a few years now). And my memory tells me they were just okay (they were located conveniently near to my workplace). So when I went to this new DD in Fort Collins, after all the hoopla that preceded the invasion of the chain into Colorado, I was reminded of one thing that I really dislike about them. They "display" their donuts in a case behind the workers at the front counter. In other words, it's like trying to see into the kitchen at a MdD's or something just to see the donuts. Think for a moment how many bakeries or donut shoppes you've been to where the goods are displayed behind the front counter, and even further still in a glass case behind the worker. Right, exactly zero--except, of course, DD. Again, bad idea. You want people to be able almost to touch and taste them. But it's pretty hard for people to drool over a donut they can't even see. Maybe they have a good a reason for that. You decide. We've actually tried them here twice. The first time was when my wife popped up early last Sunday morning and decided to surprise the family with a treat of a DD dozen. The first one-star visit. Because the place was already hopping, she decided to try the drive thru. It was a mess, to say the least. Uniformed and unhelpful staff were the first and biggest problem. I realize that the workers there are probably new. But if they can't give more than an unintelligible, "Huh?" to almost all of your questions, you pretty much know what's coming. Anyway, about the donuts. Boring and dull (visually), uninspiring, tasteless, meager--those are words you might expect to hear if you're describing a box of donuts you'd get at the gas station/convenience store. No, that describes the "freshly made" stuff sold at this huge donut chain. When my wife asked the worker at the drive-thru, "Do you have any old fashioneds?" The worker said, "Um, I don't know what you mean. What we have is in the picture." Now, I've eaten more than a few donuts in my day, and in my experience just about every donut shop knows what an old fashioned is, and how to make one (Google it and look at the pictures that come up!). But at DD "old fashioned" means, a basic, plain-old, cake donut. (And what is the usual old fashioned they call, "sour cream".) Okay, nomenclature--I can deal with it. But the truth is, they tasted more just-plain-old (and boring) than "old fashioned." Our teenaged kids even commented (without having previously heard any parental reactions), "Those donuts were pretty lame, don't you think?" Hmmm. So I decided to do my own comparison test, since they're just a few blocks apart: DD vs. LaMar's. I went into DD first--after having to back out of the main entrance and go in through the neighboring business's lot. (The narrow main entrance doubles as the drive thru, so everyone stops in the middle of the drive, and there's no way around the huge line of mom-vans to get to the customer parking in back. Then you get to play traffic tag as you slip between all the vans lined up in the drive thru!) I ordered their basic, glazed (raised) donut and their "old fashioned" (i.e., plain, cake donut). I ran the drive-thru gauntlet back to my car and headed for LaMar's, where I ordered their Ray's Original Glazed (from what I can tell, something of their signature item) and what they sensibly call a "plain cake donut." First up was the DD offering, their "old fashioned." It was kind of chewy (?) and had a weird aftertaste (just like the ones that probably prompted the earlier "pretty lame" comments from our daughters). Then I tried the LaMar's plain donut. Slightly crispy on the outside and like a cake donut should be on the inside. Not rubbery, not dry as dust. Rather, what you'd expect from a plain donut--albeit a pretty decent one, as far as plain donuts go. My taste test of the glazed raised donuts went the same. The DD glazed donut compressed into a rubbery piece of dough when you ate it. The LaMar's Ray's Original Glazed was as they always are, light with a nice amount of glaze. Okay, that's way more than is probably necessary to describe a donut. But I wanted to be fair. Maybe I should have ended where I began: don't bother. LaMar's will have nothing to worry about once the hoopla subsides--and everyone gets a taste of DD. read more

A girl named Ashley told us to have a horrible day, when I asked Ashley to speak to her manager, we were told there was not one there. I went back later and the manager had been there the whole time and refused to give us her name. I called the owner of the franchise and the health department. I love dd ice coffee, and their donuts are great. The service at this particular shop is a little lacking though. They are definitely friendly, but I have yet to go that they don't screw SOMETHING up. They've forgot the cream, forgot the sugar, forgot both, forgot the coffee, forgot the sandwich, given us the wrong sandwich, forgot the cheese on the sandwich, forgot the donuts, not given us enough donuts, given us the wrong type of donuts... When they first opened we just chalked it up to everyone still getting the swing of things, now it's getting a little annoying. I've been so disappointed lately by DD. I always get a toasted bagel with veggie cream cheese. The last two times they put regular cream cheese and today when I got to work there wasn't any cream cheese at all! Just a toasted bagel! They also didn't put my coconut shot or put almond milk (and I know this because I'm lactose intolerant) so I got sick after drinking my latte. I normally don't write bad reviews and I kept making excuses thinking it was an off day or something, but when it happens this many times, I can't help but think this is just how DD Fort Collins is. read more

I'm from Massachusetts and I grew up on DD. Coffee, muffins, donuts, breakfast sandwiches. I loved it all. I was so unbelievably excited about the new DD in Ft Collins. Ecstatic actually. However, this place has let me down over, and over and over again. I'm sorry but employees here have no clue how to take an order. I try and keep it very simple yet I get asked a bunch of questions reconfirming what I want and how I want this or that. It's mind boggling. They almost always forget something or put the wrong thing in the bag. It's really sad because back east DD sets the standard for quick, tasty, accurate and affordable but at the location in Fort Collins it doesn't even come close to matching that. I've waited over 15 minutes for a medium coffee and I almost always have to remind them of my order at the counter and then they finally get it out with an apology. And I don't really know how else to say this but the coffee just doesn't taste the same as back east either... I also have another anecdote to tell. My girlfriend and I were sitting in the store when all of a sudden we hear something banging around (as if kicking the toilet paper dispenser) and loud cursing inside the restroom. Yelling, "SH*T!!!" We were shocked. This literally went on for about 20 minutes it was so bizarre and I promise I'm not lying. We almost reported it to the manager to make sure whoever was in there was OK. The door opens and a DD employee comes storming out and walks out the front door. My girlfriend and I's jaws were left agape and it's a story we will always remember. Obviously the employee was having some sort of nervous breakdown and we saw him working behind the register the next week!! It was crazy. I think his distress was a direct reflection of the dysfunctional, chaotic work environment he's subjected to in there. They obviously don't know how to train employees and this place is beyond redeeming themselves in my mind. I can't go back there for anything anymore because everything gets screwed up. My last visit was the straw the broke the camel's back. I patiently waited 15-20 mins for my coffee, along with some other people at the counter, and I got so frustrated I ended up walking out without my coffee. I just didn't have time to wait anymore because I had to go to work. Nothing like starting your day without a coffee you waited and paid for... I think I've been in denial and chalked the bad service to the store getting in the swing of things, as another reviewer said. I tried giving this place a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th chance but I've finally given up. It makes me sad. I'm going to wait till I get back home to New England before I go in a Dunkin Donuts again to preserve their reputation in my mind. They got two stars rather than none because of the wake up wraps being an efficient and somewhat cheap breakfast for me. Other than that, the donuts seem stale with a crusty surface. Frozen drinks are obnoxiously sweet, I don't taste the coffee at all. Lastly, service seems disengaged. As a personal food worker, I know that cracking a smile to your customers is not hard. It will actually increase your well being at work as well! Try not to hate your job or do something to find one that will make you more of a pleasant human. read more

The donuts are good, sure, but I'm not impressed with DD's coffee selections (talking black, straight, unaltered brews). You can either choose a light or dark roast. C'mon .. even adding two more options like the hazelnut roast would earn DD another star.
