I went to pick my car up and none of the work had be done, and if it was not for a mechanic still remaining in the shop I would not have been able to have him call durf to get things done. When durf arrived and I explained to him what the problem was, he took my car into the back of the building stating it would be ready for me briefly. When he brought it back out he had just advised me that he had removed my brand new fully synthetic oil and put in Quaker steat garbage with a new filter and was charging me $86. When I told him he had just dumped $90.00 of oil and a $23.00 oil filter in the garbage that didn't even have 50 miles on them, he laughed and stated "Oh well your loss!!!". I told him that he knew what the car was there for and had done something that was totally not asked for, he just laughed again and said pay your bill and get your car out of here. I told him I wasn't paying because I did not ask for it and he told me that I could pick up my car when the bill was paid. Had I had more time (because I was leaving to go out of town to Georgia that afternoon) I would have called the cops and had them sort the mess out. To sum up the story don't trust them with anything if you value your vehicle and your wallet. Needless to say very bad service, a very crappy business attitude, as well as a thief to anybody he feels he can push around due to their age or sex. I surely would have gave them a negative five if it was available, but the application made me give them at least a one star.

    I brought my 2013 Ford Edge to Kolb Family Automotive for multiple electrical issues including…read moreclimate control problems, windshield wipers not working, an airbag light, and service advance trac warnings. Their online scheduling system originally booked my appointment incorrectly for 4/2 instead of 4/3, but they did agree to still look over the vehicle, which I appreciated. After diagnosing the vehicle on 4/3, they contacted me with recommended repairs and I approved the work. My vehicle remained there for over two weeks and I picked it up after hours on Friday, 4/24. Immediately after pickup, I realized several of the original issues were still unresolved. The windshield wipers still did not work, the airbag light was still on, and later I discovered my backup camera no longer worked and the ambient temperature display now only showed dashes instead of a reading. I texted them that same evening regarding the unresolved issues. A few days later, I was told the wipers had essentially been forgotten about after another repair was completed and that the airbag concern was not something they worked on due to liability reasons -- something that was never communicated to me upfront despite being one of the main reasons I brought the vehicle in. The only repair that appears improved are the brakes, however now the vehicle shakes while braking. I can finally turn the heat off, but now my AC no longer works either. What was most disappointing to me was the lack of follow-up afterward. I sent a respectful message explaining my concerns after picking the vehicle up and never received any response. At that point, it stopped feeling like an honest mistake and started feeling like my concerns simply were not important. I understand older vehicles can be difficult to diagnose, but after spending a significant amount of money and being without my vehicle for over two weeks, I expected better communication, more thorough follow-through, and confirmation that the original concerns had actually been resolved before returning the vehicle. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience.
