DON'T TIRE! They steered me to 4 Korean tires instead of Michelins. The mechanic only hand tightened one wheel AND IT FELL OFF! Then I used the Williamsville location who refused to rotate the tires at the second rotation because of "abnormal wear" caused by, YES, when the wheel fell off. I went to Mavis and got 2 new Michelins for only $10 per tire more than they charged me for the Korean crap. Then Dunn charged me $120 for an oil change that should have been $80. They said it took 4 extra quarts. Funny, the previouse 30 oil changes from multiple providers only took 2 extra. They blaim anything wrong with your car on whatever mechanic you previously used. I had my inspection done here about four days before my inspection sticker expired. They told me there would be three required fixes in order to pass (a tie rod, a ball joint, and a wheel alignment), gave me a quote for $650, and tried to get me to make an appointment to get it fixed there. I thought that sounded high so I took it to another garage (Galaxy Auto in Depew) for a 2nd look. They found no issue with the wheel alignment and gave me a quote for $430 for the tie rod and ball joint. They also told me it would take only 1.5 hours of labor, while Dunn Tire had told me 2.5 hours. I think they thought that, since my inspection was expiring soon, I wouldn't take the time to get another opinion so they tried to rip me off by charging me for extra labor time and by adding a wheel alignment to the list of repairs when I didn't need it. I understand that there will be slight variations in the price of products and services from different companies, but a $220 difference (more than 50% higher than Galaxy Auto charged) isn't a small coincidental difference; that seems intentional to me. read more

I have a company car where the payment goes through a fleet company. I made my appointment for a tire swap out and state inspection in March 2020 for an appointment on May 9th, 2020 for 10am at the Delaware Avenue location in Buffalo, NY (the manager's name is Mark and the employee I dealt with was David). I was told they would call me when everything was completed, come 3:45pm (they close at 4pm) and still no call. Every time I called, I would be put on hold and never make it through. I showed up at the shop and apparently my car was completed for quite some time but they were "too busy" to give me a call and I was told "you have no idea how crazy it was". They had not even run the payment through with the fleet company (after having my car for 6 hours to complete a simple tire swap and state inspection). This same sob story of being "too busy" happened in Fall 2019 when I was having them put my snow tires on but I figured I would give them another chance and that this was an anomaly from their typical service. Apparently making an appointment does not put you first in line for priority and you are just another payment for them to collect. They not once apologized, unprofessionally handled the situation and completely lacked any level of customer service. The last time I checked, changing out tires and a state inspection is not a tremendous amount of labor, especially when you have 6 hours to complete it. My money is going back to Northtown Subaru, at least the dealer gets you in and out in a timely manner for something so basic and routine. I would definitely look elsewhere for your car services when there are so many other places that would gladly serve you with diligence. read more

We brought a 2007 Honda Fit Sport in for a oil change. Service was fast, and they were done in about 20min. Problem was, as we were walking out we noticed the mechanic had put 5w30 synthetic blend instead of 0W20 full synthetic as we had discussed. This was reflected on the receipt. Now, the staff could have used the excuse they had simply entered an incorrect oil code in the system, but instead they were honest and admitted the wrong oil had been used. There is also an aluminum crush washer on the oil pan bolt that had not been replaced. The staff was very polite and apologetic, and they changed the oil to spec. Note to others, these guys work with a lot of different vehicles, so if you have vehicle-specific specs, do everyone a favor and write it down for them. read more

A couple weeks ago, I went to Dunn Tire in Niagara Falls to have them price match Mavis. The store manager argued that Mavis charges for this and for that, and in the end Dunn Prices beat Mavis. I told them, I called Mavis and it wasn't as high as he was saying. In the end, it looked like I offended him, because he seemed angry. (It's just a price match dude, don't take it so serious.) I left. Today I went to Mavis. I bought the tires and I saved 20 bucks. It's not a lot, but $20 is $20. read more

I've been going to Dunn for decades with excellent results, however they've slipped very badly as of late. We've purchased tires for 5 current cars and all our cars in the past. I recently bought 4 expensive Hankooks. This was my first car with alloy wheels. They scratched and scuffed my alloy wheels with their equipment. They left black goo on the rims instead of cleaning them off. They always over-tighten the lug nuts even after telling them the spec is 75 ft/lbs. When I get home I try to loosen them to torque them myself but several nuts are on so tight, I have real difficulty and have to stand on one end of my 4 way lug nut wrench to get them off. Of course I'll continue to purchase tires there, but I'll be more diligent pointing out the current condition of my wheels and pointing out any problems before I leave. I'll also take my own torque wrench with me and check them in the parking lot. I'll have them loosen them if they're too tight and torque them myself. But, I really shouldn't have to do this. read more

They swapped my summer for winter wheels one fall, when I showed up to pick the car up one wheel hit the caliper when driving. How could they not notice this driving it out of the shop? I noticed in 5ft! They took the car in and blamed my brakes. Which I realized later was not physically possible (fixed four piston caliper cannot "slide/push" into wheel). I was forced to use spacers with my winter wheels. Now a couple years later have discovered that previously, when Dunn installed a hub assembly on that same wheel position, they left out a spacer/splash shield. That changed the wheel offset my a couple millimeters. The part they left out is no longer available, and now I have to pay another shop to fab a solution while replacing the cheap wheel hubs they installed. Nothig I can do about it now. Too late for me pursue any sort of action. But I have never gone back there, and I never will. read more

I was very disappointed in the service I received at this Dunn Tire location today. I dropped my car off in the morning to have my snow tires put on, expecting they would not have it done until the end of the day. They called me in the early afternoon to say my car was ready to pick up, and confirmed that the alignment check was okay and further work did not need to be done. When I got there 20 minutes later, they said my car was not ready yet, that it would be another 20 minutes because they were doing the alignment check. When they cashed me out, my bill was $100 higher than the cost of the snow tire service. I inquired why it was more than the original estimate and they said they had to fix the alignment. When I asked why I was told that the alignment was fine over the phone and why I was not consulted about the extra charge,the worker was very rude, mumbling under his breath at me. read more

I feel so disappointed with Olean NY Dunn tire. Sold me tires they deemed defective and will not adequately stand behind them. They admitted to me that they were wrong by not advising me of safety issue during numerous tire rotations and will only offer me free oil change while I must invest in new tires. No thanks! Today i received a call from dunn tire that my tires where in.told i could come in they would install tires.Came in about 3 pm,after about waiting 2 hours i started ask about time,he said soon well sitting back down i overheard them calling and telling customer his van was ready,he said he would pike up the next day. after running over a nail and the flat tire that came soon after,I called Dunn tire and they said yes bring it right in.They fixed the tire but then said that it was the last patch that could be applied as the tire had been patched twice before.I never had a flat before and as this is a two year old car straight from a dealer i was left wondering....did the dealer give me a bum tire on a brand new vehicle?I took the car to the dealer since i have a year left on warranty.,and sure enough the tire just has one patch.So Dunn tire was trying to get me to purchase a tire for no reason.Watch this place,better yet go somewhere else!!!!! read more

The belts went on my snow tires in February, I needed snow tires for my Ford Ranger. I went to Dunn Tire and they did not have snow tires in stock /end of season. They talked me into all season snow tires, they were pathetic, I even got stuck in a plaza parking lot. Unfortunately I went back in the fall for regular snow tires , I told the salesman my experience, the salesman wasn't very helpful and asked me if I put weight in the back of the truck. The people at this Dunn Tire are exceptional. they know their business, and explain it clearly. They always seem to do a little or a lot more than I expect, and they don't charge for it. If they find a problem but it is easy to fix, no charge. If you bought the tire there, no charge. If they had a good lunch, no charge. I would never go anywhere else. Their culture is just one of generous service. Just great. I bring in snow tires for free mounting every year, get this, for 32 years!!! They laugh at my ancient receipt. read more

We cannot say enough good things about Dunn Tires. Flat tire, Sunday morning, strange city with a wedding music gig to make by noon. They were wonderful. Tire could not be repaired so they set up our full size spare, rotated tires to maximize safety and enabled us to make wedding and drive confidently home to Pennsylvania. No charge!! My car developed a leak. They told me since the SUV is AWD I would need the same type all the way around to avoid future transmission trouble. I only needed two, which I already knew from the Honda shop. The price was fair and the waiting room was very comfortable and clean. Going back today for an inspection. read more

First, the good: I had a flat during the summer and it was a sidewall flat. The tires were getting old so I wanted four new. I went to Dunn Tire on Delaware, got a good price and in 45 minutes, they pulled off three wheels and the doughnut, they pulled the flat out of the trunk, they put the doughnut back in its place, pulled all the tires off the wheels and replaced them. They balanced them, checked the alignment, and sent me on my way - again, this took 45 minutes (maybe less) - Dunn gets 5 starts for that. Now for today - I made an appointment for a tire rotation because I was almost up to the 5,000 mile mark. I was in the store front and speaking with a representative at 10:55 for an 11:00 appointment. I did not leave, from the "appointment" until 12:05; that is 20 minutes longer for a task that takes no more than 5 minutes. The representative asked me if I wanted the tires balanced at "half off the usual price." to which I said "No, they're good." (for those who want to know, once a tire is balanced on a wheel, there is no need to balance it again unless you remove the tire) The next bad thing was that the plastic sheeting on the seat and steering wheel were still on when I went to get back into my car. It doesn't end there, when I got home and looked closely at the receipt, it said that I declined an "Alignment Check" (remember, the rep asked about balancing). Unless you see odd wearing, or notice an obvious pull to one side or the other while driving (they really go hand in hand), you shouldn't need a realignment. Moreover, Dunn Tire had originally put the tires on just under 5,000 miles ago. Unless they did a really bad job, or are trying to make extra bucks by ripping people off for unnecessary work,an alignment is totally unnecessary. 2 stars for the initial experience. Minus 1 for allowing drive ups to supersede appointments (just stop having appointments) -1 for the service (yuck - I had to remove the plastic coverings) and -1 for the attempt at deceiving people into unnecessary work. read more

We have had our cars serviced at this Dunn tire location a few times and have been impressed with the professionalism and overall experience. Most recently I had an unplanned visit after my car sensors went off and took a chance (with my two young children in tow) that I could get my car looked at. Not only did they have us out in half an hour, the waiting room had some great children's books and a clean restroom. Highly recommend!! read more

I was in a small accident with front driver's side wheel damage. I went to a place that was convenient on sat after accident and they did a visual & determined nothing was bent, made an adjustment really quick as they didn't have time to hook it up to the machine. The guy did this by eye. I've been hearing humming ever since. Today I took a chance and called Ryan at Delaware location. It was 5pm and the tech left at 6. I was going to take an apt but they said come in now so I did. got there at 5:15 and was leaving with an alignment done by 545. incredible!!!! No more humming. I gave the guy that eyeballed it $20 and it was wayyyyy off.. DON'T GO TO SOME CHEAP SHOP ON A CORNER!! Even if you have to wait a day or so, go to Dunn!! Ryan proved it would have been worth it for me to have waited, even though I didn't have to today. Thanks for fitting me in and doing it right !!!
