4.5 stars. My Buffalo born soul is forever on the hunt for good wings in Chicago. The wings we tried last night at the Dunning Pour house I'd rank pretty high amongst all the wings I have had in the 15+ years I've lived in Chicago. They have bleu cheese (though they are served with ranch and you need to ask for bleu cheese up front), the size of the wings are on par with Bar Bill and Duffs, the Buffalo sauced wings could have used a bit more sauce, and over all they need to be more crispy to really curb my craving for wings when I am homesick. I will order them extra crispy next time I go and see if that bumps my review to a full 5 stars. The soup of the week my partner had was delicious, the tots were hot and crispy, and Monday they offer $4.00 drafts (including cider). The atmosphere was chill - sports on the tv - and the staff was very friendly. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu. read more

This is my favorite place in my neighborhood. The food is made by a team of chefs. Everything from scratch! I mean everything! Try the carrot cake. The service is great and the drinks are perfect. The ambiance is a cozy neighborhood bar. The food is the real star here. When I recommend people to eat here they always tell me, this is other level bar food. Oh I REALLY wish I had a good review to post. Went here based on stellar reviews - dinner (3 nonalcoholic drinks, an appetizer, 2 sandwiches and a salad) took almost 2 hours. If they'd have been busy I'd excuse it but they weren't. It was a Sunday and only a few tables in the front bar filled. One table of 6 people that sat about a half hour after us was served their meal at least 30 minutes before ours arrived. We got the feeling the server forgot to put in our order. The hangover fries app was amazing - but have the feeling it was why we were sick for the next 2 days. No one else in our household of 8 was sick except for the 3 of us who ate at Pour House. Might try again because their menu was great and their prior reviews were too- hoping we came on an off day - but need to be further away from the food poisoning episode! read more

I've been to this little "dive" a few times. The charm and friendliness are enough to keep you coming back but it's the elevated tavern food that really sets this place apart. We had the chicken nachos, cheeseburger and tots and I was blown away at the flavor and freshness of all of it. The passion of the chef comes through in every detail. Excellent customer service! My wife and newborn went for lunch a Sunny Saturday afternoon, and Erika our server made our experience even better. Wings were great, burger was delicious and the spicy chicken sandwich was also excellent. Surprisingly, one of my favorite items was the jalapeño corn bread!! Everything is was so good, I ordered delivery right now (hopefully its almost as good as when it came out fresh that day). Highly recommend, and can't wait to dine in again! I just moved to Chicago from Southern California, and what people say about the food in Chicago is true! I know this place is on the outskirts, but the quality and flavor are big enough for the city. I had the wings, and man are those things massive! The spicy bbq sauce and the reaper sauce were my favorite. The Reaper does have quite the kick so beware. Dominique was amazing behind the bar! Came here for the first time today and it did not disappoint! We had the Baja blast freeze, cheese curds, steak sandwich and burger and all were a 10/10! Some of the best cheese curds we've had. The patio is dog friendly which is a huge plus and they brought us a giant bowl of water with ice for our pup :) our server Erika was great and answered any questions we had. I don't leave a lot of reviews but this place is more than deserving. My wife and I just moved into the area about a month ago and decided to give DPH a try due to the great reviews. The staff were so incredibly welcoming and even gave us a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" shot. The food is INCREDIBLE, some of the best I've had in Chicago. I had the steak tacos which were some of the best I've had in my entire life. The quality was authentic and what you would expect in the back of a true Mexican grocery store. The burger is up there with some of the best I've had here as well (Gretel, Small Cheval etc). I highly recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood or just visiting. Hands down the best food in the area - by a LONG SHOT. And the service is awesome. The waitresses are attentive and the owner / manager is super friendly. The specials are incredible - $8 for a delicious burger and fries on Wednesdays! $4 margaritas on Tuesdays! Yes, I have their menu and specials memorized. No, I don't work there. And the kids meals are large and cheap. The outdoor patio is nice in good weather, but the chairs are sort of uncomfortable. Have one of their awesome margaritas and you'll forget that though! Also, it can get loud on crowded nights, but it's a bar, so...it's loud. On those nights, you can just get it to go! read more
