    Blue corn enchiladas, Christmas style
    Leslie W.

My mother and sisters have been a few times, but first time for me. One sister recommended the blue corn enchiladas, so I went with that. I thought i would share with my mother, so I also asked for a cup of green chile (beef and beans). My mother ordered a chile relleno a la carte, so she didn't want to share with me. My sister ordered a few tacos. The blue corn enchiladas were not great. The tortillas were very tough and chewy. I would say they were old and had dried out. I struggled to cut them to eat. The red chile was better than the green. The green didn't have any flavor nor heat. Beans were delicious. I may have just ordered the wrong thing. The green chile cup was tasty but not because of the chile but rather because of the flavor of the beef. It was delicious but way overpriced for the serving size. Service started off great, but then our server disappeared. It took a while to pay, because they were prepping several to go orders. I would go back for the salsa and chips. I want to try their tacos and a chile relleno.

    Carne Adovada Plate

Place was super busy and packed for lunch. We waited about 5 minutes and were seated quickly. Restaurant is cute and quaint. The staff were super nice and service was prompt. My husband had a carne adovada plate that he mentioned was delicious - just a little small for his liking. I had a ground beef smothered burrito with Christmas that was good. I do agree with my husband that the portion sizes are a little smaller than most restaurants. I love that their flour tortillas are made fresh at the restaurant and they taste absolutely delicious. I also ordered us some sopaipillas that were absolutely scrumptious . I will definitely be returning for the sopaipillas - I still can't stop thinking about them

Wonderful local place. Friendly staff and a good variety of food. My wife said her breakfast burrito she has ever eaten! (Steamed potatoes and bacon with Christmas on the top.) we always feel welcome and comfortable here.

Huevos Rancheros, Christmas with a buttery flour tortilla.

Stopped in for the first time and had their Huevos Rancheros. I got em Christmas style and both are solid chile options. The service was quick and we only waited a few minutes to be seated. Thanks to our server for recommending a buttered tortilla when I substituted for flour.

I was so excited for this local restaurant! It was recommended so many times online so wanted to check it out. We went at 5 and seated ourselves quickly no wait. Complimentary chips and salsa were really good! Loved the salsa. However the queso had good flavor w the green chile but wasn't hot. Food was a bit small of portions for the price. Main dishes were good . Loved loved loved the red chile! But the sides of boiled potsos and beans didn't have any flavor. 50 bucks for queso, cheese enchiladas and the pork dish. Sadly don't think I would go again

Vegetarian green chile with whole beans, fried potatoes, tortillas (lard free) and red chile on side

Duran's station was fantastic! We tried the green chile bowl with whole beans and fried potatoes and a side of red chile. The bowl came with a soft fluffy tortilla. The salsa that came with the chips was spicier than the two chiles but they were flavorful. The sopapillas here were one of our three favorites. Service was excellent .

This place is popular! We set at the bar so we didn't wait long. I had one chicken enchilada and one chile relleno, both were great! I had it Christmas style, red and green chile. I preferred their red sauce. I also ordered the cheese dip but I didn't like that. It tasted from a jar.

Pleasantly surprised! Parking was a tad odd- one way in, one way out parking lot so bigger vehicles be warned. Waitress was super nice. I'm always on the hunt for a decent burger. This one blew me away. It's fabulous. And the green chili was superb. The place was packed within 15 minutes of opening. It was jammed! Oh and the chips and salsa hit the spot. Chips were still warm, and the salsa had a nice bite

Let's start with the fact that when my mother-in-law and wife agree that the food is fantastic this is a good find. They're red chili sauce is outstanding and the dishes that my wife and mother-in-law had were super enjoyable in both raved about the flavor of the their dishes. The menu is a little limited but the special board is loaded with great offerings as well. You won't be disappointed I guarantee it. You can normally tell right away with a Mexican food restaurant when the salsa is good everything else that follows usually is as good as the salsa. May I say that the salsa was very good as well. Our server Sarah was super accommodating and made sure that we wanted for nothing. Everybody there treated us great. It's nice to be in a different town and find a place that you would go back to time and again. If you've never eaten here I would recommend that you give it a shot. We found it to be quite enjoyable. #irishcatv2

    Nachos

I like simple when it comes to nachos... and the nachos at Duran's Station were perfect! The nachos come with melted shredded cheese, pinto beans, and jalapeños. I also tried their hamburger steak plate with fried potatoes. I'm not a fan of steam potatoes so I'm glad they have options. And their red chile is so tasty! Some of the best I've had in town. I know Duran's Central Pharmacy is talked about more, but in my opinion, Duran's Station better.

This breakfast burrito contains bacon and beans instead of potatoes.

I very much enjoy Duran's Station, even despite the marked price increases. Their red (from powder, alas) and green are both good and I look forward to eating here probably once a month. Same chile and same salamander blasting your plate before you're served as at the Duran's Pharmacy downtown. Free chips and salsa (not my favorite, but always tasty) and your drink is always kept full. In fact tht service (generally delightful - we're sad there's been such turnover lately, but they still hustle) and cooking are always on-point and the owner, while more lugubrious in demeanor than any other restauranteur I can think of in the city, is almost always there keeping on top of things. The room can be a little crowded, but is more cozy than oppressive - the Ghattas family has done a fine job with the old Number 8 fire station. Be careful coming out of the one-way parking lot onto Menaul, though: the sign blocks your view and people _fly_ down that street. It's "a liability nightmare," as my dear Uncle Art used to decry.

This place is one of my favorite places to eat real authentic New Mexican food! The food is flavorful and the red and green chili are always so delicious. The service is consistently amazing every single time. Be sure to ask for a tortilla with butter as they are made fresh and are slightly larger than a frisbee! The steamed potatoes pair well with the red chili! Duran's Station never disappoints!!!

I ordered a soft taco. Living here my whole life that would mean a flour tortilla, not corn tortillas dripping in grease.

Just because it is in the IPCC don't think the food isn't good. I would come to the Indian Pueblo Kitchen even as a stand alone location. Every dish has an inspiration from Pueblo cuisine. For example, horno bread with the stews, indian tacos, and the pies are prepared as a Pueblo would. This time I had the indian taco. The menu initially sounded creative, especially the waffles featuring pepitas, quinoa, and blue corn, which led me to assume that the same thoughtful use of ingredients would carry throughout the rest of the menu. The blue corn enchiladas were the clear highlight and were genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the red sauce served alongside them tasted noticeably canned. I had hoped for a fresh, house-made sauce that would complement the quality of the enchiladas. The calabacitas were also barely seasoned and could have benefited from much more flavor. The eggs Benedict was disappointing. The addition of a sausage patty made it feel more like a typical American breakfast than the regional and authentic dish I had expected. Many of the available sides were also potato-based, mainly hash browns or French fries, which made the menu feel less varied and imaginative. The blue corn porridge was acceptable, and the generous amount of berries helped bring the dish together, but the porridge itself could have been much more flavorful. There is plenty of potential here, particularly if more attention were given to fresh sauces, seasoning, regional ingredients, and a wider variety of side dishes. The service was good, and the meal overall was fine, but based on my experience, it was not distinctive enough to justify making a special trip.

For the lunch menu, the price is rather affordable for how much food I ordered. The tastes? I can't tell because it is comparable to any other restaurants.
