    Local sweets!

While visiting in the Mesa area, it was brought to my attention that my Bostonian brother has never been to a Dutch Bros. Absolutely unacceptable. Luckily, this location came to the rescue. The drive through was slammed, but we were able to head to the walk up area with no issue or wait. I ordered my typical white coffee concoction and my brother had a frozen cocomo. The barista was super friendly and helpful. Totally a great experience all around! I wish this was my local Dutch!

You guys already know I'm a huge Dutch Bros fan and of course when I was nearby this location for a sporting event for one of my kids I had to stop to check them out. The reviews here seem to be hit or miss with service, wait time etc, but for us we had a great experience. This location is on a busy corner and the drive thru line is very short. I can see it becoming quite chaotic at times especially with the McDonald's right next door. This one reminded me of the location in downtown Phoenix years ago they closed down due to the lanes blocking neighboring businesses and into the street at times. That sucks yes, but I did notice on the app that there is also another location pretty close by. Like all others there is a walk up window as well. We lucked out and there were only two cars ahead of us around 1pm today. There was a girl outside taking orders and she was very friendly and had our orders down quick. I will say my only frustration...and this is with all Dutch locations is that they awkwardly put you on the spot and ask if you'd like to leave a tip, tell you it's optional but hold the pad in your face. I hate to let people down, but sometimes if you're on a budget that extra few dollars really hurts. Or if you're like me and come fairly often that also adds up. It's cool to leave the tip jar out, or if you add the auto tip to your app, but I hate the ask every time you pay with card. Service at the window was just as great and our drinks were made exactly how we asked. We didn't order any food (muffins etc) this trip so I can't comment on that. All in all it was a good stop. I'd come again if the line wasn't out of control.

Love Dutch bros! Love the caramelizer! Ice and blended is so good! The captain crunch frost is good as well. Especially for kids.

The lines are long but move quickly! Great coffee... less acidic than other chains. Shout out to the Gents taking orders... an attempt to line cut by a rouge Kia was promptly directed to the end of the line. You're the heroes we need in this world.

It's always a BREW-TIFUL Day at the AMAZING Dutch Bros!!! Words cannot espresso how much they mean to me and MOSTLY my husband! My husband goes to Dutch Bros so much that when they hear his diesel truck coming, they start making his Iced Cocomo!!! WHAT KIND OF INCREDIBLE SERVICE IS THAT?!?!? They also call him by name! I went through the drive thru with him the other day and they said "Hi Jeremy, the usual Iced Cocomo?" You should have seen his face! He sure was proud of himself! The barista's are super friendly and Dutch knows how to find the right kind of person for the job. They also train their employees on what great customer service looks like. I like the small talk and the questions they come up with to ask us while we wait for our coffee. The employees seem to have a great time at work. I love the taste of the coffee at Dutch. It isn't bitter or strong. It is creamy and delicious. I usually order the Picture Perfect Blended Cocomo. It is so yummy! As I've said, we are huge fans of Dutch Bros. You could say that we love it a latte. They mocha us so so happy!!! If you've never BEAN, you're missing out!

I don't go out for coffee much because of my tight budget, so it's a treat for me. I'm always looking for different flavors to try so I decided on the blended Islander from Dutch Bros. with almond milk, which came to almost 8 dollars. The girl handed it to me without the whipped cream, which, to me, is the BEST part. My heart sank and I said, "Oh! I wanted it with whipped cream please- I'm sorry!" She replied that it was no problem and I was happy. But instead of putting it on top with the huge dollop that I thought almost 10 dollars deserved, with the rounded lid like you see in the pictures, she put a light spray of cream on it and crushed it down with the same flat lid. I said, "Uhhh, thanks..." and drove off sadly. I was proud of myself because, as an introvert, it's hard for me to ask for something I didn't get at restaurants. But my "treat" wasn't as much as a treat anymore, know what I mean? I gave more points because the order taker was nice to my 2 pups, and they both got pup cups, even tho she didn't offer them, I had to ask. They also didn't give me a chance to tip, they just gave me my card back. The flavor of the drink was very nice, coconutty & sweet, but not overpoweringly so. And as you can see in the last pic, it's mostly ice. Overall rating is 3 stars, I'm still sad. Maybe I'll go home and make a sundae with extra whipped cream.

Everything about it just feels right -- the vibe, the people, and especially the food. You can tell they actually care. The staff is super welcoming and generous, not in a forced way, just genuinely good energy from the second you walk in. Food-wise, they don't miss. The honeycomb with cream cheese inside is insane -- sweet, rich, and something you don't really see anywhere else. The Dubai chocolate latte is a must-try too, super smooth and indulgent without being over the top. The beef samosas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the chocolate pistachio croissant is easily one of the best pastries I've had in a while. Honestly, every time I go I end up trying something new and it's always solid. You can tell they put real thought into everything they serve. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.

Their Dubai iced coffee is really good--while it didn't quite top the one I had in New York, it definitely ranks as my second favorite. The only downside is the price. A 16 oz drink was $10, which feels a bit steep for a medium-sized coffee. Overall, though, it's a great option if you're craving a Dubai-style iced coffee without leaving Arizona.

I first asked if there was a difference in drinks from what was on the menu and up on the board above. She answered snarky, "if it's up on the board and on the menu it's the same" Mind you, one said latte and the other did not, hence the question. I opted with what I normally get. She took my order and then while looking down, stated, "2% milk okay" I said sure then asked if whole was available. You would've thought I had asked for her to go milk the cow and bring it back. She was very annoyed, so I said 2% is fine. I paid for my coffee then stood and watched her began preparing it. I saw her add one quick pump of syrup so I said, could I maybe have one more pump. Again, you would've thought I was about to suck them dry of all syrup. She seemed annoyed and looked at the register and began to say what I assume was they charge for extra, so I quickly said never mind. All in all I was disappointed with my interaction. The coffee was good and the wrap was okay but I dunno if I'd go back.

Instead, they often aren't even started until I arrive. On top of that, I always have to stand in the regular line just to pick up my mobile order. This is the only location I've been to that consistently makes customers with mobile orders wait in line instead of simply being able to walk in and grab their order. A couple of days ago, I was told by an employee that my drink was being made, only to stand there for another five minutes while no one actually made it. Another employee eventually asked if I had been helped and said, "I'll make it now." At that point, I was pretty confused about what had been happening. There is also frequently no one at the register. I've seen a line form with multiple customers waiting while no one is taking orders, and this has happened on more than one occasion. Honestly, it doesn't seem like there is much direction or organization among the staff. It feels like everyone is just being told to "make drinks," but sometimes they appear to be making more drinks than there are customers in the drive-thru or inside the shop. We have officially decided to stop going to this location, which is honestly sad because we live nearby and would much rather come here for the convenience, especially when we're heading out of the house.
