I've been here few times over the past couple of years.there are 3 dishes that I pretty much every time that have always been really good. 1 Water Lily Shrimp 2 Boiled Sliced beef in chili sauce 3 seafood deluxe My meal today was delicious. This is where you come because they have cheap lunch specials not because it's good Chinese food haha but it does seem a little better today than when I've been here in the past. It isn't buffet style but you can tell the food is not freshly made to order. It was ok for the price and there was a good portion of food. Meat was overdone & not tender sadly. Good price on a tall Sapporo. The inside was fairly clean & they've done a great job decorating. My seat was uncomfortable tho. However where I first sat I could smell cigarette smoke very strongly coming from the back. I'm so sensitive to it I almost got sick & walked out. I was super hungry so I sat at the other side of the restaurant next to a very loud fish tank. This place could greatly improve! Sadly it's the only Chinese restaurant on the mountain but if they improved that would be awesome. Also I wish they would've given me the option of chopsticks but I was only given a fork. I don't want to assume why but...? The staff was friendly but not very attentive. I worry about the sanitation here as well. I saw the waitress blow her nose & not wash her hands. The guy was on his phone between touching some produce he was sorting. It's just not a very clean practice especially during cold & flu season. I went here with my family of 5 and the service and food was great! We sat down quickly and ordered, the food came out about 10 minutes later. I'll get straight to the point. The food was good. Didn't very much like the cucumber salad, has chucks of garlic in it. The chicken lettuce wraps were amazing, the bbq spare ribs were on the sweet side but also good and lastly, the Mongolian beef was great. I've had worse Chinese food. So good. Live here and love Chinese / they make everything from scratch and there is so much flavor to all the dishes (the plain fried rice is a favorite even) they don't douse things in salt. Szechuan beef and kung pao chicken are favorites along with won ton soup and dan dan noodles. I normally don't dine in but we did tonight and it was delightful. It was raining in Big Bear today, and Dinasty was the perfect place for some soup and noodles! It wasn't crowded, plenty of tables with open space. I came for the Szechuan shredded pork in spicy garlic sauce and Mushu pork It was great. The service was great and the food was delicious.. When I came during Covid, the food was a little dicey, but they seem to have it all straightened out now. Someone left a review, saying there were roaches crawling on the walls. Worst food I've ever eaten in ANY restaurant! Not just the worst Chinese food.....Any Food! Our combination meals started off with appetizers and soup. One of those appetizers was some type of meat on a skewer served on top of a flaming mini barbecue... It looks very appetizing and I was excited to try it until I took one bite and was unable to tell what it was.... The closest thing I could say to describe it would be the fat and gristle from some beef product. The soup should have tipped us off as we lifted the spoons to our mouths and my wife commented that it smelled like a horse stable... And I completely agreed... The closest thing I could describe 2 it would have been horse manure.... It didn't taste like that but it certainly smells like it. My wife and I ordered different dishes and we just returned home both hoping that we won't get sick later tonight. I ordered chicken chow mein and it was completely flavorless.... I'm assuming that the small bits of meat that were part of the dish was chicken but I'm not certain that it was in that I've never tasted chicken with the texture of gristle. I actually poured a small container of sweet and sour sauce all over the dish just to make it palatable. My wife ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and ate one small spoonful leaving the rest of the dish behind in the serving bowl. I tried a piece of shrimp from it and could only say that it was definitely not fresh and just didn't taste right.... I don't think it was spoiled but I wasn't going to try another one for fear of it being bad shellfish. The meal was served with what they said was fried rice and all I can say is it it was not at all appetizing.... Tasting nothing like any Asian fried rice I've ever had in the past. On our way home my wife asked if we could stop and get something to cleanse our palate and get the taste out of our mouths.... I honestly don't know how this place stays in business if the food being served is consistently this horrible. We were the only two people in the restaurant the entire time we were there.... I was leery after reading some of the reviews but decided to give Dynasty a try. We went in with a party of 8 on a Saturday night. There was 1 waiter working the entire restaurant. While the waiter did his best to manage several tables we had to be patient which we were and enjoyed our family time. Wow to say that I am impressed is an understatement. I am from Orange County where there's so much competition, so I had my fair share of authentic Asian cuisines. Let's just say I wasn't expecting much. I was expecting like Panda Express quality. Additionally, Peking duck is hard to get right, even in OC. However, the Peking duck and seafood clay pot soup and ong Choy were all sooo delicious . The service was beyond impeccable as well. Usually, good Asian food = shitty customer service. But they had it both. Will definitely come back here when we come back. P.s. their health food grade is an "a" and their bathrooms smell like bleach. We wanted asian food for lunch and came across this restaurant. So we thought: Chinese food sounds great! We were excited that they're open and the menu looked good and the prices were fair (my thoughts in the beginning). My husband was craving some chicken teriyaki, which they have. He likes having them with both steamed white rice and noodles. The gentleman that helped us with our order said: "It only comes with white rice." And I said, "I understand, could we please order an extra side of plain chow mein?" He wrote down our order and walked away. The chow mein came on a medium size plate, NOT a dining plate, plain with nothing on it, so we thought, perfect! Until the bill came and they charged us for a full portion of chow mein (come with veggies and choice of meat) for $10.95. When asked, the gentleman insisted it was a full size meal and also said it's listed on the menu of the meat we could've had." This doesn't seem right to me. Wished I took a picture of how little it was... He also forgot my friend's order of egg rolls. He said "I didn't hear you ordered that." After a long day skiing we were exhausted, hungry and cold. I ordered the dynasty dinner and asked them to make a special exception on the dish for me which they kindly did. I was so appreciative that they accommodated my diet. My appetizer came as the cutest little personal hibachi grill with a meat skewer on it that kept me entertained while I waited for my food. I had steamed shrimp with vegetables and my boyfriend had fried noodles. Both were really tasty and the staff was really friendly. It was just what we needed! I will definitely return! read more

Really looked forward to eating some good Chinese food, but the experience was unappetizing. The food tasted like it had been recooked. The rice had a bunch of brown spots like old soy sauce or salvaged rice from other unfinished plates. It was quite gross. Spent over $65 and didn't eat anything. The beef stick appetizers looked like kabab meat. Tasted like old marinate. The dumplings were not great. Only ate 1 and gave the rest to our dog Chow menu was sticky. And dry In spots. Didn't seem Fresh. Nothing appeared to be fresh! Upsetting when you're willing to spend money on a good meal and left feeling majorly disappointed. Wow. Im writing this as I'm eating and i'm honestly speechless. I'm from Chicago, and ever since moving to California in 2015 I have not been able to find a good Chinese restaurant. We decided to take a weekend trip to Big Bear and honestly we got so sick of every restaurant serving the same bland steak & potatoes dinner, so we decided to check this place out. We were a little apprehensive because of the bad reviews, but oh my GOD! This place is AMAZING! I am so glad we ended up here because this is the Chinese food i have been searching for ever since I moved to Cali. Disregard any negative reviews and definitely make your way to Dynasty. Appetizers were tasty. The Szechuan Beef was actually chicken meat. Kung Pau chicken meat was tasteless. Both dishes sauces actually tasted the same. It was hard to tell the difference between the two plates. I understand this is the only Chinese restaurant in Big Bear. We would return and give it a 2nd chance, but order different entrees. Considering this is Big Bear, I didn't expect much for Chinese food but I was pleasantly surprised. This is old school Chinese food served on old school plates. It harkened back to the 70's for me. A bit run down on the outside, but spacious on the inside, this is one of the only Chinese restaurants I found in Big Bear. We ordered hot and sour soup, beef chow fun, and the Buddha's delight vegetables. All of the food just had a taste that was slightly off from what I was used to. A little sour here, a little funky there, but manageable because we were craving Chinese while up in the mountains. If I don't make it at home then this is the Chinese food we eat when we crave Chinese food. Just grateful we have the option. 4 stars for option, 3 stars for overall food and 3.5 stars for service. Mongolian Beef is always good. Roast duck isn't bad at all but you have to like duck. Tsao chicken is better then their orange chicken. Bokchoy & mushrooms is great and light. Kung pao chicken was spicy but nothing uncommon from what I typically eat. As someone that has lived in California for almost two decades I am very fond of spicy food. About 2 hours later. 2 of us in the party developed diarrea. I mean that food cleaned us up. I don't know what they put in it but our stomachs were not happy.
