Stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere else to get a bite to eat and have a cocktail or two because a certain bar with a donkey mascot didn't acknowledge my friends and I for upwards of 30 minutes while we sat menu and waterless. We went on a Wednesday evening during a tornado watch the place was still pretty packed and we sat on the "quiet" side, but at a very small table. The ambiance is more like a Mexican dive bar. It's in a weird part of town, but super easy to get to and plenty of parking around the restaurant. Decor-sports bar vibes with a lot of TV's behind the bar. Other then that, there's much to the place. Service-pretty good most times. Food-always consistent, if you get Jorge's Tacos. It's a four taco meal with a small salad. The carnitas are pretty amazing and always packed with meat and cheese. The E-Bar queso is a must order, and it's a fantastic. Been on our list to checkout for a while. Came around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated right away! I got a frozen mango marg which was great! He got a spicy marg which wasn't as spicy as they normally are. The salsa and chips were great and refills were giving quickly. I really like when you get seperate salsa cups so that was a nice touch. For my meal I got the fajita steak tacos which were great the meat was incredibly tender and had soo much flavor. He got the Jorges taco combo with a brisket and ground beef taco also great. The salsa that came with this was a little lacking in flavor though. The inside had lots of tvs and an older feel to it. On the way to the gym weekly, I pass by E Bar. I've always been curious about the place but never tried it until this past Sunday, so I decided it was finally time. Upon walking in, we were seated immediately and got chips and salsa as well as our water in literally one minute. Fastest I've had that happen in a while, and it wasn't even that slow! I tried their meltdown, and it was SO strong! One had me tipsy even with food in my stomach, and I'm not necessarily a lightweight. I can only imagine how I would have felt if I didn't eat anything. We ordered their queso which was pretty good but lacked flavor; it did get better after eating it like 6 times, but it was not an immediate love. The queso definitely looks better than it tastes, so keep that in mind. For my meal, I ordered cheese enchiladas with queso and subbed the Mexican rice for cilantro lime rice. The enchiladas themselves were cheesy and great, but the beans were the biggest surprise. They packed a lot of flavor, and I didn't want it to end! The cilantro lime rice was decent, but I was able to try the Mexican rice, and I preferred that one over the cilantro lime rice. To end off this meal, I ordered something I don't get often at a restaurant: dessert. The tres leches cake sounded like the best option, and it's been a while since I had it. It was delicious! The cake was not too milky, and the sauce on top of the cake and on the plate complimented the cake. Please keep in mind that they normally add strawberry puree on top (they did not have it when I ordered it). The service was immaculate, and it has to be some of the best I've ever received from any restaurant! Our waiter was so attentive, and I swear everything was brought out so fast I could barely take a breath before they came back to refill our water or chips! I won't forget this type of service when I go to other places. Will I return to E Bar? I'm sure I will. I would have given this place 3.5 stars, but I rounded up to 4. I do think you should check this place out if you want a laid-back atmosphere and just want some good food and drinks. You will have a great time here! read more

Service Dog Harassment by Owner and Staff My friends and I wanted to sit on the patio of this establishment, but they didn't have service outside. I brought my service dog, and I always carry her service animal documentation with me. When we entered, the owner told me that I couldn't have my service dog inside. I offered to show him her documentation, but he refused to look at it and insisted that I be outside with her. We told him that we were just ordering a drink and then heading back outside, but he continued to harass us at the bar, making us feel very uncomfortable. When we asked if he would be willing to take our order outside, he rudely refused and waved his hand dismissively. I've taken my service dog everywhere with me and have never had this issue before. It's very disappointing that this happened on our first visit to this establishment. read more
