We made it right at 3pm and the menu said that brunch ends at 3 but they changed it to 2. I ordered a frozen mimosa & it still rang up as $5. Woohoo!! Service was fast was able to order drinks and appetizer came out fast. Food took a minute just because there were so many of us, but there were a lot of flies inside because they had the doors open to the patio but a fly did get into our family plate and they remade it. Food was good. Queso was good, the elote was not good. I give it a three because it was hot. And I don't understand why it had to be on one check. Also parking is limited. We arrived for a Mother's Day reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter, Chris, took our drink orders and explained how the viral soft serve margaritas were prepared, although he could not tell me what type of tequila was used in the mix. Fresh chips and salsa came out quickly and that was unfortunately the highlight of the experience. Things went downhill fast after that. One member of our party ordered a Coke and did not realize it was a canned drink instead of fountain soda. He politely declined it without even touching the can. Chris seemed irritated by that interaction and disappeared for at least 15 minutes while continuing to help nearby tables. When we finally asked if he could take our order, he appeared visibly annoyed and responded with "do you want another server." We said yes and he sarcastically replied, "great, I really appreciate that," before walking away. No other server ever came to the table. At that point, our party no longer felt comfortable staying. We went to the hostess stand, offered payment for our drinks, and left. The manager did apologize for the terrible service, but the damage was already done. We took our party of 8 somewhere else and ended up having a much better Mother's Day experience. I came to Joe Leo's twice this month. I love the vibes of this place, it's beautifully decorated and giving Mexican home vibes. Their chips and salsa tastes fresh and delicious. I ordered a frozen Margarita to start and it was delicious. For my meal I had the Jumbo Shrimp Brochette and that was absolutely amazing , the shrimp was flavorful and I loved the taste of their Mexican rice. The service was great as well, waitress and staff were friendly. The manager let us try their Soft Serve Margarita that they were launching, which was the reason we decided to come back the second time. The second time around we ordered the Classic Queso to share and got the soft serve margarita. Came to Joe's for a girls night get together and we had a great time! Our waitress was friendly and helpful with menu questions. We shared the joes queso which was flavorful but not hot (temp) enough, we asked if they could warm it up more and they brought a fresh bowl but it still seemed tepid. I ordered the no 1 dinner which had a soft chicken Tinga taco, Crunchy beef taco and a cheese enchilada with beans and rice. Tonight was our first time at Joe Leo. We were seated in Ricardo E's section (found his name on the receipt) and from the moment he walked up he was so rude. He never mentioned his name, had any small talk, he just rushed us to order. He was visibly annoyed and kept rushing off and gave an attitude to simple questions. I literally asked him if he had ice cream and he gave me attitude. A very nice woman walked over to the table and i let her know about our experience and she immediately tried to make it better for us. She offered discounts and even brought out pancakes. It was so sweet. While our food came out hot, drinks were great, and her coming to the table to try to change our negative experience into a positive, it was still a very uncomfortable setting because Ricardo was rude from start to finish. I made a reservation for a party of 14 more than a week in advance to celebrate two birthdays, my sister's and my daughter's. Even though only 10 people ended up attending, the reservation was still for 14, so I expected the restaurant to have our table prepared when we arrived. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was no table ready for our group. The staff had to scramble to figure out where to seat us, and they even suggested we sit outside. Considering the Texas heat, I didn't think that was a reasonable option. If I had wanted outdoor seating, I would have selected that when I made the reservation. We were eventually seated near the bar at two large round tables pushed together. While this technically accommodated our group, it was not comfortable. The shape of the tables left very little space for plates and drinks, making it difficult for everyone to dine comfortably. The restaurant was also very warm inside. We politely asked if the air conditioning could be adjusted, but we were told they couldn't accommodate that request. We understood and moved on, but it added to the overall discomfort. The biggest issue was the service. Although the restaurant did not appear to be very busy, both the drinks and food took an unusually long time to arrive. One drink took over 20 minutes and wasn't delivered until a later round of drink orders. The food also took much longer than expected. I do want to recognize the positives. The food was delicious, and the drinks were excellent once they finally arrived. Some members of the staff were friendly and courteous, although the level of service was inconsistent. Overall, this was a disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a special celebration. With a reservation made well in advance, I expected the seating to be ready, the service to be more efficient, and the overall experience to better match the restaurant's reputation. While the quality of the food may bring me back someday, I hope the restaurant improves its reservation management and service for larger parties. read more

So our usual spot for Trivia was postponed due to World Cup crowds and our team had a hankering to play over here in East Dallas and we stumbled on this location. The pictures online looked nice and getting there was easy. Upon entering, the atmosphere is very bright and well organized inside. Trivia was happening on the patio area and I will have to say it seemed bigger than the inside of the restaurant. Perfect spot for trivia, plenty of fans and misters and it was covered and shady. They even had little "fly fans" on each table. Mya our server was on top of things, took our drink orders. For food, I ordered the combo fajitas and my wife had the wood fired shrimp enchiladas. She said that those were the best she ever had! My fajitas were good, portion a bit smaller than expected, but I still had some leftovers. We did not win trivia, but had a good time and experienced a new place. Our only downfall on this visit, was that we were told that the bar does not stock Crown Royal?
