    Unlimited fish and chips

This is a tiny hole in the wall restaurant sitting above the river we popped in on our road trip. The lobster roll was ridiculously big, the bread had no hope it was being crushed by the delicious lobster. Hubs had the unlimited fish and chips. His fish pieces was so big he really enjoyed it. The fries and coleslaw weee really great as well. We tried the Grape Nuts pudding- I personally thought it was foul but the hubs loved it- the texture and how the pudding was broken and weeping was a turn off for me, hubs ate the whole thing. Service was solid.

Door locked.... Hours say they should be open. Weird.

2 nights in a row..... no food for us!! Came on Saturday at 6:40.... Said they were closing up and couldnt serve us, but hours said until 7:00. She was super rude too, didn't care at all. Came tonight, Sunday at 6:00.... Door closed and cleaned up. Hours again said until 7:00. Fix your hours.... Not fair to customers that drive to your location an because you don't want to serve them or decide to close early...... Wish I could give the Eagles Nest a zero star rating.

10/8/25 My husband and I stopped at Eagles Nest Restaurant after hearing it was a local favorite and it did not disappoint. I ordered the lobster roll and lobster stew and both were unbelievably fresh and full of flavor. Every bite was packed with tender lobster and it truly felt like a taste of the coast. Which is what I wanted to experience when I'm on this side of the country. The quality and portion were amazing for the value and I honestly wish every restaurant served lobster like this. The service was friendly and quick and the whole place had that cozy local vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. If we lived nearby I would absolutely come here every day. A true hidden gem for seafood lovers and one of those places that makes you fall in love with simple delicious food done right.

Love this place Stopped in for an early lunch on Sunday. Heard great things about eating here and we were not disappointed. I g9t the clam strip dinner and my fiance got the lobster roll. OMG! So good and so much food! Cute little inside place to eat. Enough room people didn't have to be right up on each other. Our server was pleasant with a great personality. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Wow. Wasn't expecting this place to give out so much lobster! This was nearly twice as much lobster on our lobster roll than the other places we have been this trip and it was very close in price. Additionally, the quality of lobster was fresher and softer here too! If you need your lobster fix, you have to check them out! They also have an all you can eat fish fry every day of the week and the portions on that are equally impressive. It is a small place on the inside and I think a lot of people do the takeout option. I'd eat here again for sure! Note: I forgot to take a pic of the full menu but there's some other food besides the specials written on the board I took a pic of!

If you're flying into Bangor on your way to Bar Harbor-start your trip off right by stopping here. The lobster was so amazing here that we decided not to have any more for fear of being disappointed. This is a local small-town vibe diner with spectacular views of the water. It's tiny, but the service is fast and friendly, so if you happen to get there when it's full, I suggest waiting. What we got: the Lobster Salad. We were given dressing with our salad, but it was so flavorful that we didn't even need to put it on. We also got a cup of lobster stew. They give you so much lobster here, and it is, by far, the best I've ever had! We added a BLT to our soup and talked about stopping in on our way back home as we were leaving. Don't miss out on this gem of a place!

Exactly why we drove from NC to Maine. We got there about 30 min before closing so we were worried it may be rushed or not as good...there was no need to worry. The waitress was so friendly, efficient, and helpful. A real pleasure. I was looking for an authentic lobster roll and I got that. Full of juicy meat and the roll was buttery and melted in your mouth. They offer it hot with butter (just like I like it) or cold with mayo. The clam strips were terrific too and everything was made to order, hot and fresh. Grilled cheese will never be the same without lobster! We ended with, hands down, the best lemon meringue pie. The view by the river is so nice making this small place perfectly Maine! Loved every part of it!!!

We read the reviews and decided to drive down from Brownville to try the haddock. It was amazingly good! We like ours cooked a little more than average and they honored that request to perfection. The fish was tender and delicious. This place really is small with about 8 tables. We arrived a few minutes before noon and we were seated right away at the window with a spectacular view of the river. The service was excellent. Some folks have commented that it is "pricey". I'm not sure how they arrived at that conclusion. My husband and I each had three large pieces of haddock on our plates. I think it was $18.99 each plate. If we had wanted to do the all you can eat fish fry it would have been $19.99. I don't consider that pricey. I did see the seafood platter and it was enormous! It could feed 3 average people easily. We will absolutely go again.

The seafood platter is huge and can definitely feed 2-3 people. The lobster roll was also really good and fries were good. Service was good and everyone was nice.

Well there's this place that literally hangs over the rivers edge. The seafood is better than I dare say any place Downeast. The girls were quick and attentive. The atmosphere killed it. One table was talking about fishing up to Grand Lake, another table was talking about their pilgrimage for the lobster roll. In the end we shared their strawberry cheesecake.

I'd like to order a lobster roll for delivery in Corinth, Maine.... Is this a viable option? I'm in California

    We don't deliver sorry

Would a party of seven have difficulty getting seated Saturday afternoon around 1:30? I understand it is very popular and busy!

Yes - the indoor seating is pretty tight in general. Accommodating a party of 7 is possible but I bet at a peak time like that it would be very hard.

My wife and I work otr as truck drivers and found this place after some folks at a hotel told us about it. Nothing on the menu is a miss and I mean NOTHING. I don't care if you can't eat it all. Take it home and snake on it later. It's that incredible! Never been to a food truck like this before. Get here now! Don't wait!

Being busy does not excuse verbal hostility. Multiple people in our group of 10 left reviews because we all experienced the same unacceptable behavior. Future traveling groups beware: if you order a lot of food here, expect great food but a side of absolute hostility from the kitchen--and an owner who will defend it. ---- Original Review - I was part of the group of 10 that stopped by this spot recently before heading to the airport (which is conveniently just 5 minutes away). It is truly a shame to leave a 1-star review because the food itself was excellent, and the lady taking our orders up front was incredibly sweet and accommodating. When we placed our order, she kindly informed us that the food would be coming out in batches, which we completely understood and were happy to accommodate. However, the entire experience was soured by the cook in the back. As we went up to pick up our food batches, he began making audible, angry comments from the kitchen--clearly directed at us as customers and explicitly meant for us to hear. When we later politely checked in on the remainder of the order, he openly yelled and cursed at my friends, visibly angry that a large group had ordered food. I have personally worked in high-paced, high-stress environments--including busy retail and fast paced healthcare--so I understand firsthand how overwhelming a sudden "surge" can be. But professional composure is essential. We weren't upset about a 25-minute wait for a large, $500 order--we were happy to wait for good, fresh food. The issue was the verbal and open hostility from the kitchen. If you are traveling in a group to or from the airport, be aware that simply being hungry and ordering food might be treated as a major inconvenience here. It was a very disappointing end to an otherwise joyous group trip. I truly hope this feedback can be taken constructively so that future traveling groups can enjoy your great food in a positive atmosphere.

Didn't realize it had just opened that day - there were only two other people inside and it was very quiet. Still, staff were super friendly and welcoming. There is a fresh fish market area and the restaurant area. The fish market looked closed to us. The two people eating inside happened to be locals - who said they come at least once a week and purchase whole lobsters (we saw them come out on the tray) at market price (which was about $12/lb that day) and have them cook/boil them for $2. My husband asked to do the same and he ended up with an almost two pound lobster for $22 - unheard of for us as lobster is extremely expensive and not fresh. This one was caught like hours before he ate it. A bit challenging for him to eat - ha - as we aren't experts. But, he loved it.
