Hats off to Hayden - he was amazing right from the start. Service was so good and his recommendations are amazing right from appetizers, drinks, and then the main course. I was celebrating my big milestone birthday and they surprised me with a handwritten card with prosecco wine and dessert on the house. Wow! This place certainly exceeded my expectations. The Cajun chicken is to die for. The truffle fries and the guacamole were exceptional. Happy hour is worth every penny. We will be back over and over again for the fine dining experience with incredible ambiance. Thank you Hayden for a memorable birthday!

We were on a walk back to our hotel after the Coldplay show at around midnight. Absolutely starving and we saw Earls was still open. We waited about 10 mins for a table for 4. Our waiter Gareth was quick and friendly, making sure to check on us often. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The manager came over and had a chat with us, which was appreciated. She is in the video off to the left on the walkthrough. We had a couple of pizza's, tacos and a Nashville chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious. We are often in TO and will be back to eat here again. Reasonably priced food and drinks with friendly staff, all around great experience!

The queen bee, the crispy ribs, the avocado corn, the salmon shushi press, the truffle fries phenomenal!!!!! Everything , every single item we ordered was amazing! Get both types of ribs!!!!! The service was attentive and they have great music playing! The happy hour prices are the best ever !! Our waitress was so kind and very honest about her menu faves! I loved the vibes!! Very young

On our monthly lunch while our puppy gets groomed , decided to visit Earl's on King West. It was our first visit to this location, it is quite large with several patios & terrace. The afternoon started of exceptionally well as the 2 hostesses were awesome, friendly and welcoming with big smiles - Braiden & Lauren ( I do hope I have the right spellings) . The interior is done well with large sections of the bar and dining area. Ordered a couple of Lychee Martinis and Ketel Ones, the martini was delicious. The Queen Bee pizza was perfectly cooked, great toppings and delicious while the greens salad was also tasty with a nice dressing.

Went here to meet up with cousin & she suggested the place. We came in an hour earlier and we were seated at the bar...cocktails are the bomb, Mr Bartender did a very good job so was our server

I'm still blown away by this meal. We sat at the bar and it was a very happening spot for a Thursday. The moody lighting was a vibe too. Everything was delish! I'd get all these menu items again - calamari, artichoke three cheese dip, and crispy rice with tuna. Drake was a great bartender!

So it goes without saying that my expectations were extremely high for the place. We arrived just before our reservation time and were quickly shown to a comfy table near the entrance. It was a good spot for taking in the admittedly impressive ambiance. Obviously we both had to order the Birdbath Martini ("Quill Gin, House Vermouth Blend, House Orange Bitters, Lemon Oil, Olives and Pickled Onions"). And yeah, it's incredible. The tableside preparation was certainly an impressive sight, and the taste of the drink was superb. Definitely one of the best martinis in the city. For my main, I went with the Bay Street ("shaved prime rib, tobacco onion, horseradish aioli, grilled baguette, frites") and after an unusually long wait, the plate arrived to the table. I can't say I was super impressed. The meat is tender and flavorful, yes, but the bread is so plentiful and so crusty that it pretty much negated the sandwich's positive attributes. I ultimately wound up leaving most of the bread and eating the scant prime rib. The fries were quite tasty, at least. Far more problematic was the service. Our waiter was absent for much of our meal. Our water glasses were empty for most of our time in the restaurant, and he never showed up to ask us if we wanted another drink, which we certainly did. We each probably would've ordered a couple more cocktails had the guy not vanished. So yeah, the martini was indeed excellent. Everything else? Not so much.

Our food was great and the happy hour prices weren't expensive. The peach bellini is definitely worth the hype! The place SEEMED quiet but shortly thereafter the place got JAMMED! Initially it was slow service but it picked up shortly. We had several different servers so no single server is tagged here. I will say that it's a hip, nicely equipped restaurant. We decided to do an appie meal. We ordered Sichuan Chicken lettuce wraps ($25.50)..this was the best of the appies. The next was the Crab Dip ($20.75), it was hot but not overly tasty. 3rd was the Hot Chicken Bites with pickles ($16.00). They were ok but not hot in temp enough. The final was the Chili Citrus Calamari ($21.25). This was the worse of the dishes. Simply put, it was cold. The server removed this from our bill. In summary...I wouldn't go out of my way again to go here but given all things being equal, the servers were very good. As a final note...the bathroom was very clean & well maintained.

Either the menu is a mediocre version of the actual menu, and/or the service is dismissive once they learn you're there for the 'licious set. Black + Blue had a $65 dinner menu which is pretty good for the options available. The portions were generous but the service was where things really stood out. We were treated so incredibly well by all the staff. Dawn was our server and she was so lovely! We really felt taken care of. I've never had a restaurant server look at the type of pant I was wearing and change my table napkin to a black one to match my dark pants. Nor do I remember a restaurant heating up the mug a cappuccino comes in to ensure it stays nice and warm. As for food, we were allowed to have some partake in Summerlicious and some not. I had the Summerlicious menu and picked the Wagyu Tartare, Surf and Turf, and Buttercake. Great portions, delicious food. My favourite was the Buttercake. We also had happy hour drinks, oysters, a prime rib, and caesar salad. If I were to recommend something, get the $78 prime rib which is 14 oz, perfectly seasoned, and comes with glazed carrots and the most amazing mashed potatoes I've ever had.

From the vibes to the food, everything was top notch. Tyler took care of our group and made sure that we got an experience rather than just a meal. Upon being seated we got napkins to match our outfits so the white lint didn't get on our black pants , an incredible guava passion fruit cocktail to try and a meat presentation to make sure we all order like pros from here on out. The food was incredible- one our tastebuds won't forget! Our group of 5 started with fresh sushi and sashimi, table side Caesar salad and the softest brioche served with sun-dried tomato butter that was perfect in every way. Main course: Australian wagyu ribeye that we didn't even have to chew plus a strip loin and beef Wellington (which was maybe the only thing I don't need to order again, but still delicious). All the sides were amazing and finally sticky toffee pudding and butter cake to put us in a complete food coma. Wouldn't change a thing about this meal. We cannot thank you enough Tyler (and Toronto!!)!

Located on the 31st floor of the St. Regis Hotel, the restaurant has an incredible atmosphere. The dining room is absolutely stunning with a classy and luxurious feel, but it still feels comfortable and inviting rather than too formal. We started the evening with cocktails before moving into the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the "I Only Drink When I Smoke," which was a great way to start the night. It had a subtle smoky flavour with a touch of sweetness, and the alcohol was not overpowering at all. It was smooth, easy to sip on, and the perfect drink to enjoy while having conversations. For my Summerlicious menu, I started with the Tartare de Boeuf and Caviar. The filet mignon tartare was fresh and really smooth, with a nice balance of rich and savoury flavours. The toasted bread also gave it a nice crunch and paired really well with the tartare. For the main course, I had the Roasted Chateaubriand Filet. When the plate was served, the meat looked really rare as I saw nothing but red on the meat, but it was incredibly tender, making it easy to cut through. It was full of flavour, and the sauce complemented the steak without being too heavy or salty. The vegetables added a nice balance to the dish, and the creamy mashed potatoes were smooth, and definitely one of my favourite parts of the meal. To finish, I had the Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake. It was creamy without feeling too heavy. Though the fruity flavours from the mango passionfruit were a bit tart and sweet for my palate, it still gave an overall refreshing touch. The crust added a nice texture, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Beyond the food, what really stood out was the service and pacing of the evening. Each course arrived at the right time, allowing us to enjoy every dish without feeling rushed. The price point is definitely on the higher end, so it is not somewhere I would personally visit for a casual dinner on a regular basis. However, for a special occasion, celebration, or a night where you want to enjoy a beautiful dining experience, I think Louix Louis would be a great choice... and for $75/ person for Summerlicious/ Winterlicious, definitely a great value to sample the chefs' artistry. Overall, it was a memorable evening with an elegant atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and great service.
