Absolutely loved our drinks! Will absolutely be coming back. The gals working were super sweet, kind, and seemed to be having a great time! Loved the trailer, signage, and little mirror set up. You should absolutely give it a visit :)
If you're a fan of Vietnamese coffee and matcha near Kihei this is definitely a good spot to check out. We live in Kahului but would make the drive out here to Kihei to stop by here. It's tucked in on South Kihei Road near Pizza Madness so definitely a good location especially to those nearby the area. They have specials every month of different drinks fitting the month's theme, and you can choose between a matcha or latte. The paninis are also really good! Employees are really nice and always provide great service.
Tried this business out because it was spoken highly of on TikTok!! It's a nice petite coffee shop on wheels and definitely had a good size line going in the morning time! I went for the specials which was a s'mores latte and my bf got the Vietnamese coffee -- we also managed to snag the last order of croissant waffle which we topped with buttercream icing and fruity pebbles -- I will say the waffle sticks weren't as good as I expected them to be since they were so popular but I think if I had them more fresh they would be better. Coffee was definitely on the sweeter/dessert side, there's only one table outside for seating but we enjoyed our treats in the car :)
BEST coffee on the island. I'm sad that we came around to trying this place on our last day of our trip to Maui. On the other hand, we tried 7 other coffee shops, and this was the best. You can actually taste the coffee. The perfect amount of sweetness. Hope to come back some day.
I stopped by here earlier today for my morning coffee. Whenever I go on vacation I try to hit up a new coffee shop every morning and on this morning I ended up heading over to Early Bird Coffee. This location is a stand in a parking lot right off of South Kihei Road and I had driven by it a couple of times earlier in the trip. True to its name, it is open at 6 AM and when I arrived shortly after opening, I was the only person there. There were two employees working and I ended up ordering a 12 oz ube and coconut latte. My coffee here ended up being pretty good. I got the earthiness from the ube along with some sweetness from the coconut. The creaminess also seemed to come from the coconut. The coffee itself was present as well and had a strong, rich flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I like that Early Bird is open at 6 AM and the coffee I had here was good as well.
LOVED this place! Really cute coffee truck in Kīhei with wonderful Vietnamese coffee and matcha option. So good we had to come back twice. Recommend getting the coconut coffee (the coconut flavor is in the cream on top) and the matcha chai (surprisingly good combo, especially if you like chai). They hand whisk their matcha!
This is the perfect place for an early morning choice especially if you like to support local small businesses. I appreciate the Vietnamese Coffees on the menu. There were 4 of us ordering. A Black Sesame coffee, 3 different types of Matcha lattes, 2 Chicken and Pesto Paninis. All were very good and I will hope they are still going strong when I visit the island again in the future!
I stopped by Early Bird Coffee and loved how many unique coffee options they had. There were so many I wanted to try, but I ended up ordering the pandan coffee and the black sesame white mocha. Both were really good, but if I had to pick a favorite, the pandan coffee definitely stood out to me. I came around 10:00 AM and there were about three people ahead of me. The wait was a little long -- roughly 15-20 minutes before I was able to order and get my drink. It's conveniently located, but it was starting to get pretty hot since there aren't many shaded spots to stand while waiting. I did like the little decor and the mirror where you can take a quick selfie. Other than the wait, I don't really have anything negative to say. I'd definitely come back and try more drinks next time.
Showed up about 7:30am, with one customer waiting for her order. Customer service? She was super sweet and friendly! Best ube Vietnamese coffee I've had in a cool minute! I try not to come back twice to the same coffee shop when I travel, but I might have to come back to this one. The "croffle" was good. Good in flavor, I absolutely LOVE ube, although might be better warm. Which would have been an easy fix had I gone back to my Air BnB, but I was headed out for the day. Cute little stand, and I'd overall recommend!
Early bird coffee is so delicious. I got the americano with coconut foam and my friend got americano with pan-dan foam. Both were so delicious. Bitter at first but flavors blend nicely the more you drink. (I got it two days during my stay because so good.) also tried the Italian panini it was on good sourdough bread and just MWAH. Friendly service and answered questions well. There was a line both times I went because it is so good the people must go
Very good, extremely strong lattes. I had the iced coconut and ube latte. It was delicious. Smooth, strong flavors. The guy warned me it's 4 shots in a 16oz cup. I'd get two shots next time. The 4 shots gave me a wicked headache. My wife got the Saigon and the black sesame (and wanted to try both) and they were both solid. I think I liked the Saigon the most. Service is island paced. The line was pretty long and we waited about 20 minutes. No biggie if you're not in a rush.

Early Bird Coffee is a fresh face in Kihei's food trailer scene, and it's already making waves--with good reason. This charming little trailer is quickly building a loyal following thanks to its fun, aesthetic drinks. On my first visit, I had a bit of decision fatigue (everything sounded too good) and ended up ordering the Black Sesame White Chocolate Mocha, one of their signature drinks. While it was good and well-balanced with that nutty sesame, I had immediate drink envy after tasting my other half's Ube Vietnamese Coffee. It stole my heart--thicker and slightly sweet with a deeper, tastier flavor profile that really hits the spot. So, I got that on my following visits and it hasn't disappointed! They also offer a small selection of food, like croffles on a stick (yes, that's a croissant-waffle hybrid, and yes, it's as fun as it sounds) and sourdough paninis that are perfect for a light bite. I'll have to try these in the future! A fair warning though: word is clearly out. The lines can get very long. On one visit, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes. While that might test your patience pre-caffeine, I was honestly happy to see a small business thriving on our island. Hopefully as they grow, they'll find a rhythm that keeps the line moving without losing their charm. Just bring a little patience! All in all, Early Bird Coffee is absolutely worth a visit--whether you're a local or just cruising through Kihei. I just wish they were a bit closer to me, haha.

If you're in Maui, don't sleep on Early Bird Coffee Shop! This place is everything you want in a local gem--run by a sweet, hardworking local family that pours love into every cup. Forget the big chain cafes--this is where the real flavor and aloha live. I tried the ube Vietnamese coffee this morning and it did not disappoint! It was the perfect balance of bold coffee with just the right amount of sweetness and that unique ube flavor that makes you do a double take (in the best way). I can't wait to try the black sesame next time. What made the experience even better? The vibe. I got to "talk story" with the owner's mom--an absolute sweetheart who told me she loves hanging out there on her days off just to greet people. She even hands out water when the line gets long and the sun's beating down. Who does that anymore?! That's true aloha spirit. It's a super cute little spot, easy to miss if you're not looking for it--but absolutely worth the stop. If you love good coffee and supporting amazing local businesses, this is the spot. I tried the ube Vietnamese coffee, and it was the perfect balance--smooth, not too strong, and not overly sweet. The staff were super friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the location is perfect. My partner went with the Vietnamese coffee topped with hazelnut cold foam, and she absolutely loved it. We also ordered the veggie and chicken pesto paninis. I swapped the balsamic in my veggie panini for pesto, and it was 'ono! If I lived on the southside, this would easily be my go-to spot every morning. read more

Wow! This is the best coffee I had in Maui! There White Chocolate Hazelnut and Coconut Ube were amazing. Highly recommend for any coffee aficionados out there, if you are in Maui on the south shore side in Kihei, please stop by you won't be disappointed!! read more

Such a cute spot I kept seeing pop up on my social media. I was finally in the area and decided to stop by. The patrons are non-stop. As soon as someone pulls out of a stall, someone else is parking all for this business. I did stop by after lunch for a matcha pick me up. It's very easy to spot from the road but note you'll be waiting in the Kihei heat. Although it's a small parking lot shared with other businesses, most of the customers were there for Early Bird Coffee and they were quick to fill our order. I opted for a Lavender Matcha with Oatmilk that came with Lavender Cold Foam. I also tried my friend's Lychee Matcha with Coconut Milk and Coconut Cold Foam as recommended on their business Instagram page. Both were delicious and we drank it so fast we debated on getting another lol. Love to support local! Stop by and try something and follow them on Instagram for their most current updates! read more

10/10. I'm not really a coffee drinker, but I really enjoyed the Vietnamese pandan coffee at Early Bird Coffee. My wife, who loves coffee, got the ube coffee, and honestly, I liked it too. I'll definitely be ordering it again. We also tried the chicken pesto panini, ham & cheese panini, and the butter creme cheese croffle. All of it was really good, fresh and tasty. Jai and Jules are awesome. They welcome you with smiles and aloha. This local business serves great food and coffee with care, and it's definitely one of our go-to spots. I never really leave reviews, but this was my husband and I first time traveling to this beautiful area, and not only was the drink and treats absolutely delicious, but there was such a genuine kindness from the staff here. When we came it was pouring and we were covering ourselves with what we had, and they offered us umbrellas as soon as they saw our struggle lol! Then when we picked up they gave us the complimentary treats that were so so yummy! Genuinely one of the sweetest interactions we had while staying here, AND the food and coffee were delicious! If you're looking at a million coffee places and don't know which one to choose like us, pick this place to stop! :) read more

The owners are the sweetest people! They were able to answer any questions I had about the menu & suggested a few of their faves. It was my first time trying a Croffle and it was amazing! Featured in the picture is the Original Croffle with Nutella drizzle and Oreo Topping (left) and the Ube Croffle with Oreo topping (right). 3 pieces was just the right amount and the fact that it was on a stick didn't make it a mess! If you're in Kihei and don't stop at Early Bird Coffee, you're seriously missing out. We stopped here almost everyday on vacation. This little spot is an absolute gem. It has laid-back island vibes with baristas who are as warm as the Maui sun. The Vietnamese coffee is next-level: smooth, bold, and exactly what you need to kick off a beach day. I tried their Ube and Pandan coffee, and both were perfection. The matcha with strawberry was amazing too! Bonus points for their aesthetic! read more

If you are cruising South Kihei Road and you see them open, STOP! Trust me, it's worth it! I've been hearing the buzz from friends and from social media, and the hype did not disappoint. The line was long but moved quickly. We ordered the croffle with ube cream cheese, Italian panini, chicken pesto panini, Caramel Macnut signature coffee and the Ube Vietnamese coffee. As we waited we were talking story with the owners mom, who happened to be hanging out with everyone! She's THE BEST...so good fun, so much Aloha and she definitely knows great customer service! We got our drinks super fast and our food came out shortly after. We definitely enjoyed the thick, strong flavor of the Vietnamese coffee and she told us we could even order the signature drinks with the Vietnamese coffee. The paninis were so delicious! We will 100% be back to try more of their menu. Support this local business! They work hard and definitely bring something different to our community for us coffee lovers! read more

This place needs more hype! This is one of the best matchas ive had on island and i have tried many places. This is perfect for all my matcha lovers! The area has pretty good parking spaces and the workers are super nice. My order came out fast and the price is great for what i'm getting. Compared to other places, the price and quality here is the best! Please consider trying this place!!! read more

This is the cutest little spot! Super cute decorations outside and a big menu to choose from. I ordered the caramel macnut coffee and it was delicious. The coffee is strong and it comes with caramel cold foam on top - so good! The service was amazing too. We ordered six drinks and they all came out quickly. They're also so friendly here! This is THE new coffee shop! Let's start by saying: you are missing out if you don't give them a shot! Since I tried it this morning all I can think about is going back tomorrow. Their coffee is absolutely delicious, and they have so many interesting options! - also, please how pretty? The coffee was bold and flavourful, well balanced and flavors that all tasted natural, truly one of the best coffee I've ever had. We gave their croffles a try, interesting texture and definitely something I haven't tried before. The people running the truck were also super sweet and excited to be there! read more

The best place to get coffee and a panini. The service is great and every barista we had was helpful in giving recommendations. The early hours worked perfectly for our jet lagged sleep schedule. We tried multiple of drinks and every one competed for our favorite. The croffles were a great touch and were the perfect sweet treat in addition to a delicious Vietnamese coffee. 11/10 would recommend. read more
