Tried Early Bird with my friends for a Sunday brunch because we were in the area. We wait 30 minutes to be seated even though there were a couple tables open. The tables were put together pretty close so you move the chair it sometimes back into other people's chair. The service was fast but the food was ok. The omelette was ok there was nothing special about it (2.5/5). Both of the benedict was pretty good (3.5/5) but the rancho benedict had a very hard English muffin that was impossible to cut. This place has been one of my top favorite brunch spots to come to. I've been coming here for a good 8 years now, I just now noticed I never put a review for it! Crazy that I haven't post before. I want to start off by saying the food always has good flavor. The carnitas chilaquiles are my favorite, this time I couldn't choose between that one or the chef Vic green chilaquiles so my server asked if I could get half and half and so I did thanks! It was amazing! I told my server we liked the brioche and the churro waffle but were undecided on which to get, she informed me they were able to do the brioche French toast churro style and omg! It did not disappoint! The fluffyness of the bread and the sweet churro sauce made the perfect combo. ( we ended up getting two!) As for the ambiance, the place is bright has background music that can be pretty enjoyable not too loud, just enough to hear but you're able to hear everyone else as well. This place is amazing! The food is delicious, the service is wonderful, they offered my baby a high chair as soon as we were seated as well as a kids menu to color with. Came here on a Sunday morning around 11am and it was packed. My group of two was 11 in the waitlist and we had to wait almost an hour outside. The waitlist can be joined on Yelp so I suggest joining before even parking at the restaurant. We were sat in the very back right next to the bathrooms which was very unfortunate. It took a while to take our orders and give us food. The food was really good, the churro waffle was delicious and the chilaquiles were very filling. Our server didn't come around much and we had to wait a long time to flag the server for our bill which we had to pay at the host stand. This place was great. They have a lot of classic breakfast foods and some unique entrees. I got the duck confit. It was pretty good with the raisins balancing out the bitterness of the arugula. The croutons were a bit too oily though since they had soaked up all the fat from the duck. Their kids menu is great as well since they let the kids put together a plate of their choice. After asking her twice and telling her why I wanted a name or order number, she mentioned "I have to go we don't do that here" Normally when you place an order over the phone, you get a reference number or a name so there's a reference and order goes to the right person. When I'd picked up my order I'd tried to explain her why I needed a name or reference number and she seemed careless about my opinion and she kept ignoring me. It's regular coffee, Mexican coffee (kind of like cafe de olla with a cinnamon stick but no sugar), and iced coffee. We got the brioche French toast and the Eastwood omelette. Both were good, but my friend thought the French toast was too hard at the edges. They put peanuts on top of the French toast - fyi for those allergic to peanuts. I like that they offer Infiniti hot sauce on the table along with Tabasco. Service was friendly and attentive. That said, I wasn't impressed with the meal enough to return to dine at this restaurant. The egg white omelet was fluffy, but the side of potatoes were not crispy and mushy. Servers are quick and very attentive to their tables. Cooks do a phenomenal job. They have seasonal mimosa flights that are great for sharing. Their coffee is delicious. If I return, (I live in NorCal so SoCal visits are always trying to squeeze in the best food) I am absolutely getting the Rancho Benedicts. Tender and succulent shredded pork, Avocado Emulsion Pico de Gallo, and a tomatillo hollandaise sauce! I paired my plate with a mug of their Mexican Coffee- hands down some of the best coffee I've ever had and I know my coffee. Served with massive cinnamon stick, this coffee can be had black. Subtly sweet with the cinnamon and truly warms the soul. The only thing I personally wasn't fond of, were the hash browns. They were slightly sweet?
