As much as we rely on our cars, finding a mechanic shop you fully trust is a major necessity. 16 years ago I was fortunate to find Kosal with his team of mechanics at 3636 E. Anaheim in Long Beach. His kindness, expert advice, fair pricing and all levels of care for my car as well as friends and family has always been top notch. East Anaheim farms out their auto repair work to contractors who are unqualified and untrustworthy. When they do task themselves with the job, they neglect overall safety and satisfy themselves with work that appears complete. These guys should stick to towing and changing tires. East Anaheim spent 4+ months trying to fix our truck. Cosar constantly gave excuse after excuse. He seems like a nice enough guy but just talks and doesn't get stuff done. The electric guy they hired to do the wiring harness left the job incomplete and still wanted to be paid in full - there were wires everywhere, some going to the incorrect places (this burnt out the alternator and drained the battery), yet he said he was done working on it. The carburetor was literally put together incorrectly and installed upside down (wtf) by another contractor they found. EA's mechanics seemed to lack any knowledge about how the carburetor was supposed to work, so when they accepted and installed the wildly faulty carburetor, it exploded and set fire. They wanted their same contractor to redo his horrifying work, so we took it to a professional. Meanwhile, this dude Juan they found to paint the hood kept the truck for an entire month without even touching it and would say he was going to "do it tomorrow" every time we called, for a whole month. When they finally installed the brake system, they neglected to bleed the brake lines and brake booster/master cylinder (perhaps the most important step of all, leaving air bubbles throughout). When I took the truck for a test drive, I had to stand on the brake pedal with both feet to the floor to get it to slow down and eventually halt. If you are going to contract out work, it's important to find people you trust rather than give people's cars to whoever will work on it for cheap. In the end, we were terrified to drive the truck around. We took it to another shop to have all their work reinspected and retouched to finish the job to make it safe to drive again. read more

Great service, honest and fair prices. My wife took her Toyota 4-runner to pep boys, and they said the repair would be $400 plus. After taking the car to the east Anaheim auto clinic for a second opinion, they were very honest with us, and told us the problem was a loose bolt. They only changed my wife a diagnostic fee and replaced the bolt for free. I have since been taking my 2011 ford edge to them only. read more

An update is needed!!! I continue to bring our cars to East Anaheim Auto Clinic but I had a lazy moment where I decided to take my car to a local shop only 1 mile from my home instead of the 12 miles to East Anaheim. The other shop gave me a list of repairs needed for my car that totaled over $2000 - struts, replacing windshield washer reservoir and tubing and oil change. So I decided to take my car the Cosar to have him do the work. I knew he would give me a great price. He looked at the printout, chuckled and said he would call me later. His guy gave me a ride to Cherry so I could catch the bus home. When I picked up the car later, he had replaced the tubing for the windshield washer reservoir, done an oil change and checked the rest of the car. it was all good! The bill was $80! That with a synthetic oil change!!! AND my struts are fine!!!! read more

I came to East Anaheim Auto Clinic because of the Yelp reviews. I was a little skeptical but since it is so close to my place I figured I'd give them a try. Juan greeted me asking what I needed I explained the issue. He told me he'd call me once they had a look at it. Within an hour I found out what was the issue, a simple loose part. He quoted me an unbelievable LOW price. As most women often find themselves victim to unethical mechanics. Not here!! They could have tried to up sell me by instilling fear of the unknowing if my car really needed new parts. NOT HERE! ! It gets better Juan explained to me the office manager wasn't in and couldn't run my credit card for payment. But he allowed me to leave the shop with my car WITHOUT paying telling me to come back later or even the next day. Who does that anymore??? I returned that day and paid my tab. I will definately count on them for any future repairs needed. The shop is located on the same lot as Lara ' s Doggie in the Window shop. I brought my car in with a starter issue. The Clinic did not promise too much. They offered to diagnose the problem, just in case it was somwthing bigger than the starter. And they offered to fix it by the next day. Bare in mind, we arrived two hours before they closed. The Clinic had the car diagnosed and the starter repaires before we could finish our rental car reservations. We had a working car back that day. That was greatly appreciated as it saved us all rental car fees. I appreciated it even more since the last shop I took my car to took more than a month for a very simple repair. It was a little on the expensive side, but I was grateful they made us a priority. It saved us a lot of other fees and allowed my fiancee to conduct her business deliveries the following day. read more

Despite some of the 1-star comments, East Anaheim Auto Clinic was amazing to me. A major shout out to Danny from Tripple A and Romeo who are both at East Anaheim Auto Clinic! The starter on my car died around 7:45 pm while I was at the dollar tree and Danny was the first to come check out my battery on my car. Immediately after he looked at my car he told me it was the starter and that I'd have to call back for a tow. Romeo came to help me within 35 minutes after Danny had left and reassured me my car would be safe in their lot (since I had my catalytic converter stolen off here in Long Beach) and went out of his way to drop me off back home after. I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical of this place because I've been scammed before since I'm a female college student and I'm not from the area. BUT the next morning, I called the manager Kossar who was extremely genuine and stayed in touch with me throughout the day while I was at school. He even walked me through all the charges it would cost to fix my car. Long story short, my car was fixed within 24 hours and I've decided to make this repair company my people! They even refilled the air in my tires that I had been meaning to get around to. PS. They do synthetic oil changes for $75 dollars-- no labor fee! read more

Run far away from this place!!!! Do NOT trust your car with these guys They told me my 13 year old Jeep Liberty's engine, was done. So sad cause I love my car. I Aaaaalllllmost called to have it donated for scrap. Luckily, I decided for one more opinion. Had it towed to Jeep Solutions in Paramount. They did a head re-surfacing, valves and spark plugs. It runs great!! It also cost far less than a new engine or a new car would cost me. Jeep solutions also told me that East Anaheim Auto clinic must've poured tons of dirty oil into to do the compression check. They said oil was pouring out of everwhere. This place is awesome and I've been going to them for years (5+). I used to go to them when they were in the Chevron auto shop on 7th and Redondo, but then they moved and got their own place on Anaheim St. I usually just go here for oil change, but they always do a great job, and are quick and friendly too. They do all the all around inspection and top off your fluids all inclusive of the oil change price. They have a lounge with a TV that you can watch while you wait. Mind you it's not going to be like the dealership's waiting area, but it's still nicer than waiting outside or whatnot to get your car done. Plus, they give you a coupon for a free car wash at the Bob's Car Wash at the Chevron on 7th and Redondo for free! This is a great place! read more

My car died and the AAA driver, Kyle recommended EAAC. It was late and I've yet to find a mechanic in Long Beach so I took him up on the suggestion. As soon as I got home I looked them up on Yelp. No reviews from Yelpers (with the exception of a one-time reviewer from two years ago who clearly had SOME issue with them) concerned me. After receiving my quote from EAAC I turned to Yelp favorites Herb and Red for a second estimate. The H&R mechanic asked me to break down my quote and assured me that I wasn't being taken for a ride so I went ahead and let the Auto Clinic do the job. They were able to repair it by the afternoon and volunteered to stay late if I couldn't get there until after they closed. They were friendly and personable and they gave me a credit for a free car wash - which I desperately needed. My car is now running like a dream. If I run into any credit card issues I'll be sure to update my review. I'm not anticpating any trouble, though. read more

A few months ago, I had my starter replaced at EAAC. It took a couple tries, but they saw the job to completion. Immediately afterwards, the check engine light came on, but they followed through and took care of that as well. They gave me a free car wash and offered me a ride to work which I appreciated. 2 months ago, East Anaheim's tow truck driver recommended another mechanic in Long Beach. Engine was replaced but was leaking oil and the recommended mechanic would not stand by his work and fix it properly. East Anaheim Auto Clinic was the next shop to get the truck, since they felt bad that the mechanic they recommended cheated us, and they also did not fix it correctly. Barely made it back to Arizona and the truck is still leaking oil. 2 months, 2 mechanics and $3000 later and we still do not have a working truck. read more

Been going to Sam for 5 years now! I had to track him down when the gas station closed by the Long Beach airport! Great mechanic that gets the job done. I have had a Celica he kept great and running with ease..( i sold it when the tranny was slipping) my Prelude he had to do only basic work such as oil..(crashed that one) and now finally my Acura. He works fast and efficiently. He is very honest...I have had a couple minor things wrong with my cars in the past that could be mistaken for major problems and he was honest enough not to lie and fix only the minor thing that what was wrong. The manager is also very nice and when I was low on money he told me it was no problem to store my car at the shop (FREE OF CHARGE) until i had the money! Really nice guys read more

I went there 4 or 5 times. Every time I ended with a new problem related to what they did. Last and Worst one: They put in a new radiator in my vehicle and damaged the connection with the transmission cooling line, resulting in the breakage of the transmission. Very shoddy work, I had my shifter cable replaced here back in May and they did a sloppy job. Whenever I would put my car in park and shut off the engine my key would get stuck and lock up. I would have to move my shifter into park 2 or 3 times before the key would come out of the ignition. When I went back to have this problem taken care of the manager tried to blame it on the ignition box "going bad". They would not fix the problem they created! Five months later my shifter cable goes out again! So I go to another shop that offered to fix it for free (AAMCO). After they replaced my cable, I noticed a big difference in the way the shifter handled and my key would come out of the ignition with no problem at all. End of the day these guys do very shoddy work, would not go there again. Just my experience read more
