This little pizza place has become my son's hyperfixation. And I only knew it existed because I attended school next door and would stop in for lunch. The pizza is fantastic, every time. We love the garlic knots, adding the cheese on top is mandatory. We like to dine-in, usually there's sports on the tv but sometimes you'll be treated with something like lord of the rings or an old Chris Farley movie. The staff is always incredibly nice and very patient with my kid demanding Parmesan cheese the second he walks in the door. First time trying this place. Quick and friendly service. Really good NY style pizza but the sauce is great!

Eating at this place is like when the food critic in Ratatouille ate ratatouille because every time I eat it it takes me back to when I first tried it. This is continuously my number one pizza spot because the pizzas always have a perfect crust-to-cheese-to-sauce ratio and all of the flavors are spectacular. Today was the first time I tried a sub... how in the world did they manage to make my now number-one cheesesteak? Is there anything they can't do? I now have to keep coming back to try the rest of their food. The service is also always super great and it feels like a bunch of best friends working inside. Stopped by because I had a craving. This place did not disappoint. The service was awesome. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pizza had great flavor. You can get a sweet, regular, or spicy sauce. I got the regular sauce. The toppings were good. Sausage was a fine crumble. The pizza had a little flop, but it was piping hot. Ambiance - I did get my pie there. It has a few booths but not much to talk about. It was clean, and that is what really matters. read more

They were switching to a different soda brand as their main supplier now so they only had three choices of soda until the new vendor started. I think they could have stocked up on canned sodas of different flavors until the switch took place because the three they did have was nothing I liked and I'm sure other customers felt the same. I had very high hopes for this Za since it showed up as a suggestion based on other local pizza joints I like. But seriously. Never have I ever eaten more salty sausage in my life and it made the whole pie almost inedible because it's that little tiny crumbly sausage. It's great that they were generous and loaded it up, but this isn't a topping I'd ever get again. I might try them again to give it a fair shot because the cheese was pretty good (though greasy... but that could have been from the sausage too), but the crust was nice with its toasty edges. I'm thinking they may make a nice veggie pie or even just keep it to cheese next time. Not my favorite but not the worst. It was my first time at East Coast Pizzeria, despite I did go when it was the West Coast pizza Z Pizzeria before the Columbus stores closed for good. Z Pizza is still on the West Coast. East Coast Pizzeria has Brick Oven to bake their pizzas. Despite it was small space, they gave great service. My friend and I had the Tossed Salad with Marzetti Italian dressing, Cheesy Breadsticks with homemade marinara sauce, and the 14 inch East Coast Supreme minus the Banana Peppers. Everything was delicious and loved the crust of the pizza. They deliver within a 3 mile radius of the store. It is not a chain, but a locally owned business. I will be back to East Coast Pizzeria again soon, except for Mondays because they are closed that day. read more

Being from New Jersey, I have a hard time finding pizza places in Columbus that I really enjoy. East Coast Pizzeria is definitely the best place for New York style pizza in all of Columbus and the surrounding areas! I discovered this place during the end of the pandemic and still haven't gotten a chance to go inside (even though I live only a few minutes away), but the delivery person always remembers my house. They even know the spot we like them to leave our food out and not to keep on knocking because we still prefer contactless deliveries. I hope to try out East Coast in person in the next few days! You get 3 toppings, what are you choosing? The East Coast Pizzeria Stromboli comes with mozzarella, 3 toppings garlic butter, Parmesan, and Parsley. Delicious! We tried a couple subs, the pepperoni rolls, Caesar salad, and Stromboli. All of it was so fresh and tasty! The bourbon chicken sub was delicious! This review is strictly from my wife, who only eats NY Pizza Pros: - The guys who were working were super nice and chill. I felt that they communicated with each other really well. We sat inside, so we were able to see their interactions and were blown away by how respectful and friendly they were. They always approached you with a smile and made sure you were satisfied. - The pizza was good and definitely the closest to NY pizza in Columbus, Ohio. I would eat it again... but would rather go to NY, if that's exactly what you're looking for and can do that! This is a solid runner up. - They offer pizza by the slice during the days... this is a great option for those who do not want an entire pizza! We unfortunately didn't make it in time... but enjoyed a 14" anyways - The salad was super fresh! Sometimes salads from pizza shops can be gross and the lettuce is wilted. That's not the case here! Cons: - It's not the NY Pizza that I typically like, but again... solid runner up :( - When we arrived all of the outdoor seating was taken. As new Clintonville/Worthington residents, my boyfriend and I have been on the hunt for the best local pizza joint. Well, we found it! I attempted to place an online order, but for some reason the system wasn't letting me, so I worked up the nerve to call. I'm so glad we did. When I walked in to pick up the pizza, there were only three employees there, one taking orders, one ringing out customers, and the other making the pies! Just the smell alone was divine. As a native Clevelander I'm not at all charmed by Columbus style pizza and am constantly on the hunt for a taste of home in pizza. For me it's all about the crust. A solid slice for me has to have a good bite and chew, the perfect flop, oozing with garlic buttery goodness, fresh toppings and a savory delight. Yeah! We have spent a few years looking for a pizza place like or similar to Luigi's Pizza in Morehead City, NC. This place is it!!! Omg! The BEST Pizza in the area ,hands down!!!! The crust is just the right thickness, the sauce is amazing, and everything comes together just right! The have good cannolis and chocolate cake as well! This is our Favorite pizza spot in Ohio! What I can say other than East Coast Pizzeria took me by surprise. Having grown up in New York, I accepted that I wouldn't find east coast style pizza in west of Pennsylvania. Enter East Coast Pizzeria. From ingredients like traditional pepperoni and sweet sauce to breakfast pizza with queso, they continue to provide the east cost traditional flavors with several new world twists. I do appreciate the punctuality of the pizza. Far too often, I've been given a time only to arrive at a place and had to wait. East Coast Pizzeria pizza time is perfect, thus ensuring that the pizza still has that fresh from the oven taste minutes later inside your home. I also experienced their garlic knots and wings and they missed the mark for me. The garlic knots tasted like the butter and the garlic did not work its way fully into the center of the knot. The wings also had a lightly fried exterior as if they had been flash fried at the end before being plated. Unfortunately, that contributed to a creation of a thin dry exterior. In summation, 4 stars for the pizza and 3 stars for the knots and wings. read more

I'm from Brooklyn NY (Sunset Park). Since living in Columbus OH (1988) I was always searching for NY pizza. I like "old school" & not the specialty pizza (Hawaiian, Taco, etc). Pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, etc. I was never a fan of the franchise pizza (Donatos, Dominos, Papa Johns, etc) & the "square" slices. Per the Yelp app I decided to try East Coast Pizzeria. The pizza is great! But they are never open as their hours indicate. I called yesterday (Tuesday) at 5:30 and they were closed. Today (Wednesday) I called at 4:00 to confirm they were open. I was told they would be open until 8:00. Well much to my surprise, when I called at 6:00 to place an order, they were not open. I live in the far southside of Columbus. My husband drove up there just to make sure. We were hoping they were busy and just couldn't answer the phone. No, they were not open. Great pizza is great only if you can get it. Good Luck. East Coast Pizzeria is better than expected. It replaces a sometimes good chain in this location. This one is locally owned. It has a good selection of pizzas and other food. The subs are pretty tasty. I had a vegetarian sub. It's about $8 which is pretty average for a sub like this. The sub includes a choice of three toppings. It also comes with cheese and dressing. The sub was much better than many of the other Columbus pizza places. It had a crispy but not burnt bun. The vegetables were neither raw nor overcooked. If you're looking for better locally owned pizza this is a good place to look. It's not fancy but it's not ghetto. You know, I called here because of the great reviews. I wanted to make sure I could get slices of NY style pizza (i.e., hand tossed, generously sized servings). Great and attentive service over the phone as we asked about menu options so we headed over. Here's where I screwed up: we knew we were hungry but we failed to order a couple of slices at the time. I mean, really: the reviews were great so why did I hesitate?!?! It's OK, though, because we got to enjoy the great ambience: friendly folks behind the counter, happy regulars, and pleasant conversation, mostly about the final episode of The Office, which was then playing on the TV. We were very happy with our extra cheese and pepperoni slices. So much so that despite the specials and other great menu items we got the same thing again. The restaurant seats about 18 at a mix of 2- and 4-top tables. We are Pepsi product fans so that worked for us. Lots of windows in the front so it was bright inside. This was a great way to end our afternoon after seeing Avengers:Endgame (which, by the way, we also highly recommend. :-) Look forward to returning soon. read more
