My husband has a 2016 jeep that is in perfect condition. It has less than 20k mileage. Well you can imagine the frustration when he could not change a "burnt out tail light" We have always taken the car to Eastgate jeep. We'll find them to be customer centered. Promises kept and speedy service. They send out coupons and this time one coupon saved $185.00 on all points checkup. They hook the car up to a program that checks all over the car. Then they give a report After checking the car all over they agreed it was just a bulb and put in a new one. ( They had the tools to get to the light ) They send a text to let us know the status of the service, sent the result of the test and what they did to fix the car They followed up with a call telling us to pick up the car, go to the cashier and there would be no charge. My husband thought they were going to charge a labor charge and spoke with the service manager who said it was an easy fix and not worth charging. Glad to fix it. Unfortunately, our recent experience with the service department has completely shattered our trust. What we are asking for to resolve this (Fair Outcome): Completely fix the sensor issues on our vehicle immediately. Wave any additional diagnostic fees or deductibles, as promised by management. Provide a rental/loaner vehicle until the work is completed so we can transport our children. The Timeline of Events: The Initial Drop-off: We brought the Jeep in for routine maintenance (oil change/tire rotation) and three covered recalls. We were never disclosed a diagnostic fee when the advisor noted our check engine light. Hidden Fees & Warranty Discrepancies: We were later quoted an astronomical $950 bill. It wasn't until we demanded a line-by-line breakdown in person that extra fees "vanished," and we had to force the advisor to check our aftermarket warranty--which they dragged their feet on for 24 hours before admitting it covered the transmission pan. Incomplete Work: We paid our deductible and picked up the vehicle on Friday, only for every single sensor to go off the second we started the car. I immediately turned around and brought it back. The service manager, Norman, rode with me, admitted the sensors were never even looked at, and promised we could bring it back Monday under the same open ticket with no extra deductible. Lost Paperwork & Zero Communication: When we returned Monday, the department had lost our paperwork, had no notes from Norm, and treated us like an inconvenience. Norm avoided eye contact and refused to help. By noon, we received a call claiming the car was "done," only to realize the advisor was reading off the invoice from the previous week. Our vehicle is still sitting at your dealership. We have tried calling our service advisor multiple times today with no answer. We have been incredibly patient and gracious throughout this week-long ordeal, but the lack of internal communication, hidden charges, and failure to actually fix the vehicle is unacceptable. We require a swift response and a rental vehicle while this is made right. read more

ETA: It's only gotten worse. Sean's comments below are simply for show. I emailed him, a few time, provided my number and specific times that I would be available for his call. I also said to call at his convenience and that I would do my best to make myself available. No call. No further contact. I have sent my check to Chrysler Capital (they were equally as bad BTW) and paid off my Jeep. As soon as I get the title, I'll be out there looking for my next new SUV and I will never buy another Jeep/Chrysler. I'll also never shut up about it. Ya know what? I'm done. So done, in fact, that their customer service has encouraged me to move on from their brands exclusively. In the past 10 years, I have leased 4-5 vehicles from them. In 2018, I phoned to schedule an oil change and was treated so rudely. I was spelling my last name and the CSR callously said something to the effect that I "wouldn't shut up." In 2020, I leased another new vehicle and the salesperson took my business card and used my work email (without permission) to sign me up for all kinds of things. He also messed up the processing of my paperwork and attached the wrong VIN number to my account, which led to me starting someone else's car from the app! This weekend, a huge piece of rubber trim came loose on the 2020 Jeep. I had to call Eastgate for the first time since the 2018 incident and I was again treated so unprofessionally. The CSR didn't care about me or my needs at all. Wouldn't even listen. Said there are no appointments until May. I can't talk to anyone. They won't look at it. Nothing. I can drive around like that this until May or, I can do what she suggested and go elsewhere. She, literally, suggested that I go elsewhere. Know what? Wishes you dare to dream really do come true. Let me start off by saying this dealership is complete trash and has horrible employees. I called in last week and made an appointment for this Monday to take a look at a 2025 ram 3500 Laramie mega cab dually. ($91k sticker price) I drove from Fort Wayne Indiana to indianapolis to take a look at it. (2 hour drive). Once I arrived my salesperson that I made the appointment with named Alex. Decided to deal with someone else and not help me when I walked in. And a different employee named Matt helped instead. Matt brought the truck upfront and let me take it for a test drive. After the test drive and we arrived back at the lot. I looked around the truck once more and decided I want to purchase it. Matt tells me "im going to hand you off back to Alex because he's your original salesman" Alex tells me "please take a seat while I finish up with these customers I'll be with you in a few minutes" (even though we had a set appointment and he was only supposed to deal with me at that certain time frame). I sat on a chair for an hour still waiting with no help to purchase the vehicle I then stood up. Walked to alex's desk and put the keys on his desk and walked out frustrated. Never go to this dealership unless you want to feel like your business is not appreciated and they treat you like your not important and can wait around till they are good and ready to deal with you. This may be my first 1 star review... ever. :( I went to Eastgate CDJR to take a look at trading in my Jeep Renegade for a Jeep Compass. I found the exact one I was looking for (or so I thought) online and scheduled time to test drive. The test drive was fine, went as expected, and they had the vehicle ready for me when I got there, which was nice. And then things went downhill... I don't ever want to assume the worst in people, but when a young woman goes car shopping alone (like myself) you already have some guards up and thoughts that people may try to take advantage of your "lack of experience" with car buying. When we sat down to talk numbers, the paperwork given to me had $10,000 extra added to the MSRP than what was shown on the sticker (read that again, $10,000!!!!!!!!), and I was offered $2,500 less for my trade in than any other dealership that I visited the same day. Again, this could have been a mistake and I didn't take a hard look at the number breakdown until I got home, however, the impact of this action was VERY disappointing and is a big reason why young women have a hard time feeling confident about purchasing vehicles alone. If purchasing from Eastgate CDJR, please go in with your guard up and ALWAYS take a CLOSE look at what they're trying to sell you. I came here once to get an oil change and a basic inspection done on my vehicle, because I figured that the mechanics at a dealership of the same make as my vehicle would know best how to service my vehicle. Boy, was I wrong. After they completed the oil change, they must have fastened the oil pan drain bolt with an impact wrench because when I was doing the next oil change myself, over 5000 miles later, we could not get the oil pan drain bolt off. An oil and filter change that was only supposed to take a few minutes ended up lasting two days, because it took us forever to destructively remove the old bolt, then we had to drive far away in a friend's vehicle to purchase a new oil pan drain bolt. Who does that? You're not supposed to use an impact wrench to tighten a bolt (or use any type of wrench to over tighten a bolt ). If you have any doubts, use a frigging torque wrench. I do not recommend this place for any type of service. read more

I'm new to the area and needed a new key fab. i purchased the used car a few weeks from another dealership and they wouldn't make a new key for me. i called eastgate earlier in the week to order the key. Eastgate is currently giving me my worst auto repair experience in my 52 years of driving. They have had my Jeep Grand Cherokee as a referral from the dealer from which I purchased it. They have had it for 27 days. It is a complex repair, but, when they finally talk to the person tracking it, they admit pulling the technician off of it to work on other higher priority items. They have refused to answer the phone or call my representative back. They only put their best technician on it after a complaint to Chrysler corporate. In addition, they were supposed to have fixed the jeep before I purchased it and screwed that up and that is why this is happening. I posted a couple months ago and decided to give them another shot since they are so close to the house. Pulled in and as usual got told 1.5 hours for an "express oil change". At 1.5 hours, went to check, and was told I'm next, it will will be another hour.....so over 2.5 hours for an "express oil change."......WTF? I asked for my keys and left. I've tried calling the service manger, no return calls, they absolutely do not care. I'll be looking for a new ram rebel this year, and no way in hell will it be Eastgate. Dishonest and ridiculously slow. I would not recommend taking your car here for repairs. My husband made an appointment to take his car in. When we got it there, they said they didn't have any appointment on the books, but would be able to finish his car that day. At the end of the day they said they weren't finished and needed a part to fix an issue under warranty. They promised it would be finished by the end of the week. End of the week comes and it's not done. We've had it there for more than a week and a half and each day they say it will be finished. The car is still not finished. The service department keeps saying there's nothing they can do because the technician left and the car isn't finished. They have been rude about the whole process and have not been completely honest about the repairs or the timeline. No one wants to take responsibility for finishing minor repairs. read more

I have consistently had issues with the service department and the overall service with my vehicle. First they forgot to put on the oil filter when changing my oil. All of the oil ran out of my car and I was stranded on the side of the road. I have had consistent issues with a tire and a slow leak requiring air once a week. They finally found a puncture and said it needed patched, which sounded like the fix to the problem. They reassured me I did not need a new tire and all it needed was a patch. This morning (less than 24 hours later) my car is on the rim with that tire being flat. I contacted the dealership and they said it was my problem and that they would not send a service truck out with an air compressor and that I had to pay the tow bill. Their justification was that their service technician should have recommended a new tire and not patched it. I will not be going back. read more

My husband and I was going to buy the 2019 Go Mango Charger that wasn't even on the lot yet. Husband told them we were coming up after work to purchase the car. My husband called to confirm and was told that it would be ready to pickup today. 15 minutes later he received a call from a salesperson and was told the car wasn't available as it had been sold earlier in the day. We were literally pulling out of our driveway when we got this call. We feel the vehicle was sold out from under us unjustly. This isn't a professional way of doing business and you not only lost us on this purchase but also on any future business we may have done. To top it off, we received a call from another sales associate,because I checked to see if it was still on their website, she said it was available. I asked her if she was positive about that. She said let me verify for sure. Came back on the phone several minutes later to say that someone's application was approved for it. My advice, get a board with all your cars for sale posted on it and communicate the status of the vehicle on your board for all of your salespeople to see. We go tomorrow to pick up our 2nd choice car and that dealership knows how to treat their customers. We put money down money to hold it for 24 hrs, which Eastgate wouldn't do, and we will use the money we saved to add the features we liked on the Go Mango car. read more

So, a few years ago we were looking for a new Jeep Wrangler 4 Door, but it had to be white. After searching around, we find one at Eastgate, I called and told the salesman we would be there that evening and would probably buy it, he promised to hold it for us. We get there after work see the Jeep and we like it, then a salesman comes out and tells us someone just bought it, not us. So, we left and ended up finding another on at Dellen and worked a better price. Forward to the present time. I've been wanting a SRT Jeep Cherokee and just looking and watching. We happened to be near Shadeland and against my better judgement I decided to stop in. We were walking around and browsing and a salesman come out. I ask if he had any SRT Grand Cherokee's and he says no, so I ask if they have a Trackhawk, he says no. Then he tells me I would have to travel to another state, somewhere south, to even find one. So we left. About a week later, we are on 96th street and find the SRT Grand Cherokee I've been wanting at Indy Cars and Trucks and we bought it, PS my buddy bought a Trackhawk from Tom OBrien just Incase someone else wants one they have more. read more

I had to provide an update. Joe Worden has been the reason we have kept coming back to Eastgate. It was the service he provided us that led us to buy a new Jeep from them in 2012. We waited 2 weeks for an appointment, dropped the car off and it didn't get serviced. Simple mistake and I didn't worry about it because they squeeze us in when they can all the time on short notice. We needed the car back for Christmas so we picked it back up. Christmas day something else on the Jeep broke and we dropped it off that night. This morning, Joe rescheduled us and we had an estimate for repairs by Noon. Our other car is also in the shop today so he offered us a loaner. Joe is a real class act. I was at your dealership a week ago with my husband looking to buy a Dodge Ram Limited off your lot but was so appalled by your dealership I walked out. We went to several local dealers in the area and I knew exactly what our 2011 Ford F150 truck was worth for trade in and your sales person without driving the truck or running it said it was worth $1000, and said basically it would have to be just sent to be scrapped which is total BS. A lemon of a vehicle that drives into the lot is worth that amount. It was such a low ball slimy offer I was absolutely appalled and left especially since my own family is in the car business and I have fairly good knowledge about this business. After 1 1/4 I asked because I still saw it in garage. "Oh, our guy went to lunch & didn't tell anyone." Grrrrrr... My wife works in the neighborhood and they couldn't decide how to get the truck to her. SALES: When I was in the service, I got my other vehicle and someone came to say hi. When I talked about my truck being in service, I told him that I was in the market for a new car too - just not as expensive as my truck. The salesman wanted to talk about how expensive his buddy's vehicles were & the monthly payment... Then he walked away. Get a sales training program & enforce the standards. Once again the Eastgate guys have made used-car shopping as painless as it gets. "Again" is relevant because I've bought cars here since before my polite and professional salesman, Frankie, was walking. I searched their website for the vehicle I had in mind, scheduled an appointment and when I arrived, that vehicle was promptly warmed and brought to the door for a test drive. Then Frankie took it to my mechanic for a once-over (on my dime) while I had lunch. No trade-in, no financing, a review of the mechanics' (theirs and mine) reports, and the deal was done. Frankie handed me over to the paperwork man, who patiently explained how the plate system works now, and did some last dusting and fueling before giving me the keys. Coffee they have got, cappuccino they have not got, nor the prices that usually accompany a luxe salesroom. I'd recommend the Eastgate team to any woman who dreads shopping for a used car. read more

Had a very bad experience back a couple years ago. Reluctantly I took my truck back when I had a rear end noise. There is a new process and new staff, I worked with service writer Patrick Reagan who told me how great a place Eastgate is to work at(good sign to say the least). My rear end repair ran over the estimated timeframe and I lost it. I expected it to be bad so my attitude was sour. In fact I posted a scathing review here. Then I was contacted by the new Service Manager, Norman Thomas. He's a good man. He heard my frustration, and found a solution. I was especually impressed when I went in and he explained the situation more thoroughly and while giving me info he did not throw his people under the bus, in fact he defended them. My usual mechanic told mee to bring my car here because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with my truck ( he is a good ,fair honest mechanic btw) Eastgate had it a whole day could not figure out what was wrong called me and said they would have to do some reference to figure it out. Called me next day said it needed a new cat.converter said it was clogged also replaced a couple of oxygen sensors still wasn't running well said I needed a new muffler I had them do all the work except a new muffler told me after I got muffler then it would run well I wanted to get muffler replaced somewhere else that was cheaper they told me truck was running ok except needed muffler ,went to pick truck up didn't even make it out of lot and it died 3 times so left it then they replaced a spring valve and gasket for cylinder head cover total for all this $ 2656.14 the cat. alone was1,516.95 , Took truck to a muffler shop guy said there was nothing wrong with muffler drove my truck a total of 4 times it started doing the same thing so I took it to my regular mechanic didn't want to trust eastgate again he had it several months trying to figure it out because he had to continue to work on other vehicles to make money he finally figured it out ignition switch cheap fix runs great now. I went back to Eastgate to see if they would compensate me a little since the cat. converter didn't fix my problem seems they just guessed at it no where does it say they tested it , service manager ask mechanic if he thought ignition switch could have been problem he said no shows you what they know because my truck is running great I even took them paper work from internet that said that could be the problem service manager said give him a couple days took 3 weeks to get an answer he said they weren't going to do anything because it had been 4months should have brought it back to them and my truck has almost 280000 miles on it don't see what mileage has to do with anything they didn't have a problem taking my money , told him I didn't want to bring it back there so they could ripp me off again I would have been out the muffler money too if I would have let them fix it. I've been a customer of Eastgate for the last 17 years and they still don't know my name - Two things - Service department - No customer service skills - They give me the impression that they really don't need any more customers. They have never learned how to say hello - how are you etc. Had my car detailed and they forgot to put the carpets back where they below - When I mentioned it to them, they said that's a mistake and still didn't get it done. Oh, and the vendor they used cleaned out all my change in the car - Sales department - I made three calls to see about buying a car and still haven't heard back from them - My interest is to go to a company that knows the value of a good paying customer. read more

Do NOT do business with this company. I took my Jeep in for some warranty work on my transmission. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment. It took them 8 days to do it! 8 days for less than 4 hours of work. After the 6th day they offered to try and get me a rental vehicle, which I would have had to pay for out of pocket. I called every day to find out when it would be repaired, and every day the service manager told me it would be done by the following morning. When I would call the following morning, it suddenly got moved to the afternoon or next morning. When I did finally get the vehicle back, the problems weren't completely fixed, and the technician had obviously been smoking in it since it smelled like smoke and there was a burn in the seat. Of course they denied it, and when I pushed, they said they would call their fabric repair company about getting it fixed, and then they would get back to me. Of course, they never called. I got my own quote on it and decided I would rather eat the $125 than take my Jeep back to this joke of a repair shop. If this company had at least been forthcoming about how short staffed they were, or that they couldn't meet the schedule, or done pretty much anything besides outright lie, perhaps I would think better of them. But, they topped that off with a half complete repair job and failed to own their mistakes. Not a good business model. The short of it is that Kahlo is not that far away. They are a far superior dealership and garage, and they deliver on their word. As a final insult, they are now robo-dialing me to schedule my Jeep for routine maintenance (LOF and the like). read more

Took my Jeep here to have heat fixed a few years ago it was winter so they rigged the heat to get it to work. It barely worked. They replaced the temperature unit with the wrong one. I had little heat and no air. Well I have not driven it since that winter now I want to drive it again left a message with the service department to call me so I can get it fixed no one has yet to return my call and this was more than two weeks ago. Now mind you I paid about $450 for the horrible job. So since they have not returned my call I have taken to several shops and no one could figure it out now I have it at a shop turns out Chrysler cut wires and connected things backwards and it's now going to cost me over $1200 plus to fix. I bought my Jeep from here and all repairs I have taken my Jeep here but after this I am completely done with them. They will not get my money again!!!
