This is my #2 favorite restaurant in DTLV. truffled egg sandwich $13, add avocado for $2 I fell in love with it the first time I ordered it, the egg was so fluffy, the wild mushroom with scallion was cooked perfectly that I don't think I ever able to cook it that way. It's like magic at every bite. Potato is also cooked perfectly, I normally hate potato and refuse to eat them but their version are really good! Flavorful yet not overly seasoned. I used to take it to go and eat it later and even eat cold it's still so good! Chicken sandwich $12 It's actually very light to my like, without any extra/excess spread or sauce, but yet good quality and fresh ingredient. Country fried steak, $15 I don't think it's chicken, it's more like beef, it's prolly the only country fried steak you can tell what kind meat in there... It's kind dry/hard for me but we ordered too much food and by the time I tried it was cold already. oat $7 decent Coffee $3 Iced coffee $4, decent. Decent breakfast joint The service was fast and the server took good care of us making sure everything was good with the order. As for food, nothing really stood out. We always wish their food has a bit more taste, salt and spice but it definitely caters more to the ones who can eat with all three in low doses. But all things said, still one of our breakfast choices due to good service!! read more

All I can say is fluffy pancakes! We decided to find a breakfast spot before a wedding and thankfully ran into this unassuming cafe on the corner downtown. The place was starting to fill up when we got there and thankfully found spots at the bar so we got to watch the kitchen do their magic. It ran like a well oiled machine. Everyone knew their job and everything was prepared well. We had the corned beef hash with poached egg and the buttermilk pancakes with an over easy egg on top. Let's just say we were very pleased with out meals and the service was friendly and attentive. This place would be tough with big groups but if you're willing to make a reservation or wait, they can do that but it's a small cafe. If they had this place in Nashville, I would frequent it as their other dishes look as good as the ones we had and it would be easy do find a rotation of the usual suspects to eat while there. read more

Holy lord! The pozole soup was phenomenal. They had arugula salads and everything was fresh healthy amazing goodness. I arrived cranky hot and hungry and this place soothed my soul. My kiddo visited the bathroom 3 times and even that couldn't spoil my mood after eating their soup. Staff was great. They had a super cool chair in the entry space. This place is no joke. Food was ok. The most disappointing part of our experience here was that the mug that they served my husband coffee in had lipstick stain all around the rim of the mug. We didn't realize until after he had drank from it. We understand going out during this pandemic is a risk. But we truly believe each restaurant should take proper precautions, either make sure your dishwasher is properly washing everything or use plat ic disposable ones. Excellent service. Moderate wait time for a walk-in party on. Sunday morning. The music play list is Rick James Pandora lol...I asked because the songs were THAT good. We ordered the deviled eggs, cinnamon strawberry biscuits, truffle egg sandwich and eggs and bacon. All were very good. The gravy is terrific because it has sage in it. The menu states no modifications, but I'm grateful they were willing to work with me on some food allergies and sensitivities. Most impressive feature? Yum, yum, yummy!!! Great menu choices - we had a party of four who did both breakfast and lunch. Service, once we got sat, was on point - friendly, quick and attentive despite quite a full house. Wait was a bit long at just under an hour and they kept putting people who missed their table in front of us, but worth the wait. I can appreciate that they were trying to space out seatings to support the waitstaff, but maybe the peeps who missed need to be back at the bottom of waitlist. I ate here due to the YouTube documentary My Last Days. It's about a woman named Kat who is diagnosed with gastric cancer. It was a beautiful and heartwarming. Anyway, Eat is her favorite restaurant and the owner set up something special, which was to teach Kat how to prepare her favorite dish of deviled eggs and shared a meal with her. Service was really good and attentive. Did come at 11am on a Thursday so it was slower. Had the cinnamon biscuits to start and they were very tasty. Breakfast burrito for main course was very disappointing. Potatoes inside were bland as were the eggs, not much flavor to the whole thing so I had to use hot sauce. Also got a side of avocado as recommended by staff and they sent me out very old, black avocado that must have sat out all night. It had a bad taste to it as well. For 2 dollars for a 1/4 of an avocado that's unacceptable. Maybe other items are better. read more

So much Yum We had the BLT along with the shrimp & grits. No wait time at 9am, but host will not seat you if you're whole party has not arrived. Lots of servers, so everything was fast and never had to wait for refills or the check. Both meals has the most delicious Smoked Bacon . Crispy/Buttery sourdough bread was so good. The tomato soup was a perfect side for the BLT along with the crisp pickle. The pick de gallo mixed with the shrimp was perfect. The grits were also buttery good too. Wasted $3 in parking today just before 1:30 pm only to go in and be told they were closed. Closing time on door says 2:00 pm. On a previous visit, I had gone to the restroom after ordering but before order was served. Returned from restroom to find my table cleared of beverage and place setting. This is my new favorite restaurant in the world. Great, super friendly, cool staff. Amazing food - home style, but elevated to a higher plane of culinary arts. My kids had pancakes w fruit, chicken-apple sausage, and a side of thick-cut bacon and a side of scrambled eggs. They loved it. I tried it, and I loved it, too. But I ordered the huevos motuleños, and OH MY GOD. This take on a Yucatán comfort-food breakfast was off the charts. So, so, so good. Unexpected mash-up of flavors that all worked perfectly together. Coffee was fantastic, too. And, I loved the soundtrack they had playing and the vibe they've set here. If I didn't live in MN, I'd come back to eat at Eat every dang day. I'd move in, if they let me. What a marvelous experience. This food reminded me of old school firehouse cooking. I'm a retired firefighter at station 8 (closed) in Alameda County. We were referred by a beautiful woman named D who works at a quaint little place off Fremont St. Sometimes when we simply take the time to talk to each other and ask questions like we did in the old days (communicate) a great meal will come at the end of the conversation. Happy to have found an off the strip breakfast spot to eat at. (And I think this is Black Owned which is even better.) We came in before we were headed over to the Marriage License Bureau. Seated quickly and offered coffee right away. My guy thought the coffee was weaker than what we have at home, I thought it was good coffee, but yes, a lighter roast. I had the steel cut oats, he had a breakfast burrito. Both a solid 4. The atmosphere was trendy and staff were friendly and attentive. It was clean, clean, clean. This is definitely a place to visit when you're in town. It's close to Freemont, further away from other locations but worth it. Strip food tends to be blah. Met up with two friends for a late brunch and we just wing's it and picked "Eat" downtown Vegas. Two of us are locals but are actually still relatively newbies so we had not gone down here to eat before. We all ordered different things so I could see the variety of food menu items. The service was pretty decent, and it was a cute clean little restaurant. I got the BLT avocado on the side added grilles chicken. The breast was so thick it was hard to bite but it was a good tasting sandwich. My friends got the truffle egg sandwich and the chicken fried steak. All in all we all had good meals and I would go back for sure. Parking is iffy we lucked out and found a spot on the street so be aware no parking lot like most places here in Vegas. Lol. read more

Stopped in before leaving town to return home this past week. Food was ok, the corn beef hash was covered in oil and grease. The customer service was horrible, the gentlemen who sat us didn't tell us the specials, we had to over hear him telling another group about it and then when we went to check out, at first they gave us the wrong bill and then when we asked for the correct bill and to split it with the other couple we were with, the waiter rolled his eyes and audibly moaned about it. Went to EAT yesterday the owner Natalie Young was in the restaurant sitting at a table seemed like she was working on paperwork, so it was exciting seeing her and meeting her again. Eat is located a block away from Container Park, and if you're in the neighborhood then I highly suggest you give it a try. It is only open from 8am - 3pm and I suggest not waiting until the last minute to go because they're usually busy before closing. I ordered the enormous pancake breakfast with a yummy side of potatoes. The pancakes are huge and if you don't eat a like myself, then I suggest just ordering one pancake and a side of potatoes. My pancakes were delicious and I love the crispy edges. I also loved the delicious maple syrup that come with your pancakes. My fiancé order the fried steak and he raved all day about how good it was and how he can't wait to go back. We also received outstanding customer service. This place was AMAZING!!! We wanted to find a good breakfast place that we had never been to before in Vegas and this place DID NOT disappoint. The items we ordered were all delicious. Even with a good amount of customers, the wait time for the food was sufficient. Everything on the menu sounded so good, but I was very pleased with my choices. Next time I go, I will definitely try another dish off the menu. The service here was great and our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. I thank you for providing this little gem in downtown LV; it was worth the drive from our hotel off of the strip. Love this place! You can tell the owner takes pride in each item she put on the menu, and for good reason! I went for brunch and tho the menu is only one page, every item holds its own. I'm a big believer in doing only a few things extremely well, as opposed to offering a million "adequate" items. Quality over quantity. We started with the Deviled Eggs, which were a game changer for me. I've never been a huge fan of deviled eggs. But since my friends are deviled egg lovers, we ordered some. I seriously loved these. They're fried, which is something I've never seen or even heard of before, but they were not greasy. Balanced. Yum. I had the Truffled Egg Sandwich for my meal and it was huge! No way I could've eaten it all. Very truffle and mushroom forward with a delish umami vibe. What a wonderful place to visit after a wild, tiring night of clubbing! First off, the design of this place is so cute and modern. I love the decorations inside, especially all the plants they have set up in the restaurant. Back to the food--make sure you have a very empty stomach or room in the fridge because the portions are quite large. I ordered the golden brown pancakes with chicken apple sausage. The pancakes were cooked just right--not too overlooked/crispy with a burnt taste but also not too overdone. They had the perfect balance of a very slight crispiness on the outside coupled with a soft, kind most interior. Delicious. The chicken apple sausage had great flavor. I should have ordered extra on the side. You can definitely say that you ate after coming here! If I ever come back to Vegas, I hope to return to this fine establishment. read more
