    wet and dirty disposable cup
    Sabrina C.

I made the mistake of dining in at this establishment and when I asked an employee for a to-go cup for my drink she handed me a WET DIRTY DISPOSABLE CUP. Nasty. I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of that kitchen.

    The amazing pesto!!! Where lol

This restaurant isn't even organic. I asked to see the Almond Milk they use and it has added ingredients. Not organic! The grilled cheese wasn't good; barely any pesto: also they say they don't use seed oils but the chips have seed oils. You're better off going to a local Italian or sandwich shop that has gluten free options.

1st time here. So elated that my friend suggested coming here. My grilled cheese with pesto on sourdough was decadent!! It came with a perfect side salad. I was thankful for such a courteous and friendly staff that suggested this meal. The coffee was the perfect amount of sweetness needed to start my day. Looking forward to coming back!

Idiots are running this particular restaurant. I waited and looked for information on ingredients to their sandwich. The cashier had no idea and he said that his boss was on the phone with the owner. All he had to do was ask what are the ingredients. Excuse me. I thought customers were first? I had also asked for gluten-free bread since I cannot have gluten and finally after many minutes of waiting she brought me a wrap that was made out of wheat! Then she disappeared and another 10 minutes went by. I go up and ask where my sandwich is because she's waiting on everyone else and she said they're remaking it. Then she finally came back with it, plopped it on the table and left. I was so hungry that's why I stopped. Ironically I live about 25 minutes from here and it took that long to get my food.

Cute place for healthier options. Their Everything (Gluten free) cookie is pricey at $3 for a single small cookie but it was yummy if you like coconut, nuts, and chocolate. The matcha latte (I asked for hot, w/coconut milk and agave) was good. Servers are knowledgeable and friendly.

Healthy clean food place in Valencia. This is one of their locations. Plenty of parking and pretty comfortable interior to hang out for afternoon snack or breakfast. They also have juice and smoothie. You can still order breakfast items at any item which I love since I love eggs. They're very familiar with the allergens such as gluten and dairy. I did substitute the ranch dressing for the salad I ordered for something else. Love their breakfast bowl - just keep in mind if you have celiac, you might want to let them know. They advised that the sausage might have wheat. They do have gluten free bread. Maybe they can also offer vegan cheese in the near future. :) Will try their other location next time in Newhall... that has more of a restaurant vibe. Love this place! Keep up the great work and thank you for offering a healthier and more allergen friendly food selections.

I wanted something healthy and found Eat Real Cafe. I tried their Buffalo bowl & a moon lavender iced latte. Both tasted OK. They were unique, but the Buffalo bowl was not my favorite. I think it would be better with more ingredients personally. Either way - service was fine & I would come back to try something different next time. There's a wide variety of menu items to choose from for both food and drinks.

Not too many places where you can get a healthy meal made with real ingredients. Would definitely come back and visit this place when in the area. It was one of the few places I found that felt like its menu was really transparent and was offering real food. I would definitely recommend any and all of the juices they all sounded amazing although we only got two of them they were both incredible so I can't imagine the others aren't just as good. I do have one bit of feedback on the avocado toast. I feel like the avocados themselves needed to be seasoned at least with some salt and pepper and the sprouts flavor was pretty strong. I would've preferred some micro greens instead or maybe a different type of sprout with a milder flavor. The bagel was absolutely delicious. Will definitely order this. Next time I come and would highly recommend it to anybody dining here.

I'm happy I found this place. It's different, in a good way. My matcha latte, in a rather large cup, cost less than $7. It was light and refreshing, not powdery, watered down, chunky, and meh like it is at some places. And just look at the vibrant color of my matcha drink! I appreciated having a choice between paper and plastic straws here. Wellness lattes cost 8 but it's calculated from the specialty ingredients these consist of that other lattes don't typically have. I'd like to try one soon.

It's definitely a healthy place but the açaí bowl was lacking flavor and the breakfast bowl wasn't my favorite. It seemed really clean inside and the staff were friendly. I would give this place a 3.5 if possible. It wasn't bad but also wasn't great. Did the job lol

You're drawn in by the familiar, comfortable design featuring mirrored signs with writing in Victorian style fonts that also continues onto the menus. They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and this turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from the food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the complex sauce above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.

The Bronco Burrito was soooo delicious that I had to have it two days in a row. Let me explain the flavor experience. When you bite the burrito you taste the crunchy buttery eggs and tots, then the flavor mixes with the sharpness of the cheese, and the savory of the bacon bits incorporates, then, the magic happens. The pickled jalapeño gives an acidic edge that rips right through the other flavors and contrasts and blends stupendously. That really is the magic, which finishes with a sweet creamy after note from the avocado and sauce. Truly a wonderful addition to my Breakfast Burrito Hall of Fame.
