I ordered through the app and when i went to the pickup window they said it would be another 30min. they were very rude and said they were busy. i cancelled my order but was told it would take a few days for a refund. i asked for the manager and they said they were busy and that i should have called in my order for an accurate pickup time. the website encourages you to use the app plus it had a app only coupon. read more

Stopped in at 9:30 on Saturday night. There was an awful smell just on opening the door, but I stayed since my mother insisted. There were maybe 3 booths of customers and the buffet was being shut down. The manager rushed past us ensuring us the shed be right with yinz. She was never to be seen again. The person at the hostess stand disappeared as we approached and eventually a waitress seated us. She was the last employee we would see. We waited 10-15 minutes before leaving after no one came to our table or even into our line of sight. On the way out we finally found a waitress smoking at the front door. My husband and I were thrilled to eat at Eat n Park during a trip to Pittsburgh after most of their Ohio locations closed many years ago. Several times I went into this Eat'n Park after 9:00 pm and felt like I was interrupting their cleaning time. Several times no one was out front to greet or seat you. I felt rushed when I was served. My family and I have always had a good experience at this location until today. Our 11 year old son left his wallet behind with his Christmas money in it. We got it back 2 hours later but found there was $20 less in the wallet. Management said they checked the security footage but the camera does not angle well to the booth we were seated, they can't help us, and we can't say it was one of their staff. We can, because that was the only time the wallet was not in my son's possession. read more

It was okay. As requested they sat us at a table. I ordered a Western omelet with swiss cheese. I was delighted to see my english muffin with big pools of butter in the crevices. Hubby ordered Eggs Benedict. We share our food and as expected, his Eggs Benedict was on a toasted English muffin. But that muffin was difficult to chew. I could hardly cut it with a fork. My omelet was as expected and I smeared ketchup all over it. I made a better choice than my husband. Both of us ordered fresh fruit as a side. Nice huge serving of fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, strawberries and honeydew. The side of fruit is a winner. My friends were pleased with their meal, potato soup and mile high meatloaf and pot roast. I didnt want the calories which are posted. I was looking for liver and onions which they used to have but it has been several years since I have eaten here. My other friend was hoping for peanut butter pie which she says is excellent. Unfortunately they were out. I liked Eat-n-Park better as a kid. After standing there for 15 minutes and many servers passing and ignoring me, a server approached me by the name GenevieveI. She asked if I needed anything. I informed her I wanted a quart of chicken noodle soup. In a few minutes I had my order. I want to commend this waitress on her service and treating me as if I was guest in her home. We had dinner last night at this location. I should have known something was off since all the patrons had their coats on. Our server was fast and polite. We both got the salad bar, the lettuce most was limp and several pieces were brown. I went back later since things were being refilled, but the lettuce was the same. My main issue was, the temperature inside. It was miserable...so cold. It felt like the A/C was on, the waiter as well as the hostess remarked about how uncomfortably cold it was inside. Typical diner type food. Ordered the American Scrambler but I should have read the description better? It was an egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. I was expecting eggs scrambled with cheese along with bacon, a toasted bagel and hash browns. I ended up separating it all out but the eggs were definitely not scrambled. Not sure what coffee they serve, but definitely was not a fan of it. Barely drank it, no interest in refills, just should have stuck with water. Others with rdered the meat lovers omelette and the salad bar. We ordered a slice of Dutch apple pie for an aunt who we poorly communicated with...so a 'sorry' pie slice. I remember going to EnP when the dining room was half smoking, half non-smoking. It's all non-smoking now but the food has definitely lost it's allure.I went for lunch with my boyfriend and it was seriously underwhelming. I think traveling and eating food that is actually good has opened me up to reality. Eat-n-Park is just not good. It's OK but not good. You will get your meal for the day and maybe some coffee but between the people in the dining room coughing up a lung and the kids touching all over the salad bar it's just average. If you are going to EnP for nostagic reason like I did, just stick to breakfast. You can only mess up breakfast so much. I had the Rachel (Turkey Reuben) and the coleslaw (which should have been saurkraut) was sweet and kind of ruined the sandwich. I do know that their loaded fries are delicious and breakfast is usually pretty good. Eat and Park isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Average food for the cheap. read more

There's an E 'n P in swanky Sewickley, imagine that. Being all out of ideas and having no time to research virgin restaurant territory for Yelperial jihad, I decided upon this satellite of the venerable chain, one we've zipped by a zillion times without battin' an eye. Geez, I walked in, and the decor was so trendy looking, I thought I'd be asked to put on a jacket! A high rent Eat 'N Park in a high rent neighborhood, I'm shocked it wasn't gated! What to order, what to order? Hmmm...I know... Grilled Chicken Quesadillas! Aw man, why do they tell you they used jarred salsa? I suppose I should applaud their honesty. Aside from that, the chicken was chargrilled without being at all dry, the chipolte sauce was milky and mildly kickin', the flour tortilla was sturdy yet pliable, and the Pepper Jack cheese was...pepper jack cheese (has there ever been a bad pepper jack?). I've actually had these before at a different E 'N P and enjoyed them back then too. Consider the Philly Cheese Steak. It's supposed to be "street" y'know? It's supposed to drip. It's supposed to be served by a jerk having a ten-year-long bad day. It's supposed to have Cheez Whiz or bechamel or fondue all over it or whatever. I don't care. This blew apart my expectations, something I chose randomly no doubt because I was dead set again't getting a burger. How to say this without sounding like the Child Eater from Pan's Labyrinth? The roll is was served on felt like a baby. I know I said something similar about Calabria's calzones, but man alive, this sandwich was a joy to hold as well as...ulp...eat? The steak was choice, the onions were like candy, and the neatly melted American cheese cut in beautifully. Nothing tasted frozen, gummy, reheated. Everything stayed put. No mess, just a damn good sandwich, just the kind I needed to finish my workweek. If I were a drinkin' man, I'd want a pint 'o piss to go along with it. Instead I got fries and a Pepsi. I hadn't had grilled stickies in eons, so that's what was for dessert. Who thought to serve these with ice cream, and why haven't they been given a prize of some sort. Why nuke a cinnamon roll when you can butter 'em and put them on a griddle? A microwave cannot create those saltysweetcrispy edges that you forget exist on the things until your nearly finished with them, making your mouth joyous and your heart sad that dessert is close to being over. It's Mother's Day and my waitress (from the older generation) just assumed that my mother was mother. She gave her a cookie and then continued on to the other tables. NOT ONCE was it assumed that I could've been a mother too. I am 20 and I think this is age discrimination. Meanwhile this establishment is showering a grumpy old man with foods of his delight. Loved them. It was nice that they were pickle spears instead of chips. And the home made ranch dipping sauce was creamy and a perfect complement to the pickles. read more

I'm a vegetarian and I was very clear when I ordered pasta marinara. They brought out meat sauce. They re-made it, but the rest of my party was done eating when it came. Also there was a piece of meet in it like they re-used the dish. They didn't apologize or offer me anything. The pasta had water in it as well. Avoid this chain. This is one more problem in a string of disappointments from ENP. read more

As a chain, Eat'n Park used to be the standard to beat for a weekend breakfast. No longer. My usual location is the Ohio River Boulevard location in Avalon/Bellevue. I visited their new building this past weekend, and I can tell you it will be my ONLY visit there. I was seated promptly, and the new digs looked nice. But, the service and food was HORRIBLE. The service: My waitperson was a very cordial young woman. She seemed competent. Until she disappeared. But, no worries, I was seated in a main "service route" from the kitchen and watched service/management staff pass by at least 40 times. Just not my service person. But again, no worries. My service person tells me she's just off to brew a new pot of decaf for me, and two minutes later someone comes by and offers to refill my cup. Then my service person comes by with a new pot, and looks perplexed. This happened three times. Yes, three cups is a lot of coffee. But, given the 10 minute wait for my server to take my order, and then 28 minutes for my plate of eggs and toast to show up, I had a lot of time to kill. I had to call the manager over to complain about having served milk that was warm (room temp), and then complained about the slow delivery time. A few minutes later, my young server comes back to say she thought service for my order was a little slow, and she was going to check on it. So, it was just a few more minutes of waiting until I got my STONE COLD, old food. This was not freshly made food. This was my original order, that had been sitting all that time. The over easy eggs were cold. The french toast was cold, and was starting to harden a little bit. The sausage was hot, but had been reheated, so was overly browned and inedible. The little cup of fake maple syrup had a solid skin across it when it came to the table. The food was basically inedible. I left it on the table. Neither my waitperson or the manager got back to me to respond to my earlier complaints, so I decided to just figure I had spent $10 for three cups of decaf coffee. That's the going rate at some premier coffee shops, I guess. Yes, they should have responded better, and at least replaced the food. But, I have already been in the restaurant for almost an hour, and had stuff to do. How much longer could I wait. I'll miss the old Eat'n Park, with its dated decor and seriously overworked staff. But, I won't be missing anything, if the new option is this bad. There are plenty of good breakfast locations in the immediate neighborhood, and another breakfast friendly chain a mile or two away. It was a Sunday and i just flew in from California. Checked into the room and started driving to look for dinner. After looking for 45 minutes for some decent cheap food. I decided to drop by this place to give it a try. This was the first time i went to this type of restaurant but i guess it's a chain of them. It's probably comparable to a Carrows in the west coast. I ordered meatloaf, a sunday and some salad. All in all it was pretty good and i would'nt mind going back here. They do have alot of different options on the menu that i wound't mind trying. read more

Eh, nothing particularly great or awful about this restaurant. I went here with a friend last week, and ordered some breakfast food (which is tough to mess up). I thought it would have been cheaper from what I had heard, so I would probably go to another place in the future for the quality of food I got for the price. I came because I had Steelers tickets the day before and was told over the loud speaker that I'd get free super burgers. We were hungry so we ordered the super burgers (doesn't come with fries or anything with this promotion) and the chicken quesadillas. Absolutely the WORST dining experience I can remember. After being seated, waitress took our order. My wife asked if the salad bar would be opening soon but was told it would be 25 minutes so she made an alternate choice. At least 10 minutes went by and we still hadn't received our drinks. We had to point that out to the hostess. Waitress finally brought our drinks with no apology for taking too long. Meanwhile the salad bar opened but still no order for our table. Finally after almost an hour without seeing our waitress, I asked another waitress why the delay? She said our waitress was in the kitchen helping them to catch up. When I told her that that was a management issue, she told us the manager was also in the kitchen helping. Only then she offered the salad bar while we waited at no additional charge. We each had one small helping and our original order still hadn't been served. We expressed our disgust with the second waitress and she told us she would understand if we left. So we walked out! The manager never showed their face through this entire episode. What a sh*t show!!!! read more
