We had a great dinner at Echo & Rig. The food was absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated that they offer a gluten-free menu with plenty of options. Service was good. The ambiance was beautiful and made for a really enjoyable evening. The only downside was that there didn't seem to be any air conditioning or fans, so it was uncomfortably warm inside. If they improved the temperature, it would easily be a 5-star experience. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the food and atmosphere!

Had a great time. Delicious tomahawk with sauces-blue cheese was the best! Mashed potatoes. Yummy cauliflower and beet salad. Service was fabulous. Attentive and gave us a complimentary birthday dessert! Nice restaurant! Only thing was they opened the big window behind the bar which was pretty but it was 92 out and it let flies in.

Dinner for 4. - Ambiance (4*) Cozy booths with nice lighting. Easy to have conversation. - Service (3*) Courteous, but a bit clumsy with pacing. Waters constantly refilled. Entrees served as I was still enjoying my soup. - Onion Soup, $10 (3*) Good flavor. Cheese seemed like it had been pre-melted then added on top? It was hard and separate from the soup. Soup was also served lukewarm, which heightened my suspicious further. - Zabuton Steak, $42 (3*) Cool to see several types of unique cuts on the menu. Described as soft like A5, it was anything but. Cooked perfectly medium rare though. Came with a sad looking pile of potato chips. - Value (3*) About right for a steakhouse. - Final Word Identity crisis- trying to be refined but perhaps also casual at the same time?

We had a lovely lunch at Echo & Rig recently. I ordered the Drunken Goat, while my husband sampled the Pure Black Bavette and my son had their Creekstone Prime New York Strip. We sat on the outdoor patio as we had our small dog with us and it was a bit warm but most of the shaded options were taken. The service was solid. Our waiter Justin took our order but unfortunately after a while was advised by the kitchen that they were out of the Red Wine-Marinated Goat Cheese for my meal. He apologized and brought me a menu to choose something else but I was worried that my boys would have to continue to wait for their meals if I ordered anything too large so I asked for their Pork Belly Burnt Ends appetizer. I also asked him if they could bring out the plates for the gentleman when they were ready and not wait for me as it was getting pretty warm and we were quite hungry. He made sure that happened and my boys got their meals soon after. He also made my app on the house which was very sweet. He is excellent at his job. The meat was all cooked to perfection and the Charred Onion sauce was delicious! When my appetizer came out it was small but flavorful and my son and husband really enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back to try more of the offerings here in the future.

We had brunch before graduation at Golden 1 and it was great choice. The place was elegant and modern, very clean. Service was perfect, both efficient and courteous at all times. Belgian waffle was huge and tasted like dessert for breakfast, fruit was fresh and butter and whipped cream both was creamy and nicely whipped. Nice waffle. The ricotta pancakes were huge. Fluffy with great flavor. Excellent syrup to match pancakes and the whipped cream and butter were great adds. Chicken sandwich was flavorful with the most amazing aoili which was slightly sweet and rich at same time. Served with freah chips. Streak and frites was the only knock. I had the steak medium but still a bit tough and not as tender as expected. But the eggs and fries made up for it. I had eggs scrambled and it was fluffy. The shoestring fries were crispy and yum! Overall a great experience in a nice place. With tip, came out to $117 for 4 peoples.

On a work trip to Sacramento I was thrilled when I learned that there was an echo and rig in the area I was going to be visiting. Having been to the one in Las Vegas last summer I had been dreaming of their signature burger since. It was everything I remembered it being; juicy, flavorful, perfect umami taste in every bite. My colleagues enjoyed their meals as well, with the lamb and shrimp cesar being top favorites. We are only here for two days and can't wait to go back tomorrow.

Consistent spot in Sac... Came here for lunch. Ordered a few apps and one main. Favorites were the bone marrow, burnt ends and the crab cake. Oysters were good, just they only had the one option, and size wise they were at the max of what I can handle. The only food item we didn't love was the steak. We ordered it medium rare, and it was rare and a tad cold. That was probably due to the service. Our waiter was the only one covering the entire floor, which included a big party in the back. That led to long wait times for food. Overall place is nice, food is consistent, just maybe a tad understaffed.

Came for our anniversary dinner. We loved it! The ambience, lighting, music and great selection of drinks. Ribeye : medium cooked with red wine sauce. Amazing cook, tender and very flavorful! Would order again. Mac and Cheese: creamy and nice touch of crunch from breadcrumbs. Mashed potatoes: best side! A must try. Mushroom fries: it came with this green basil sauce/aïoli which made it good for a non mushroom eater. Our waiter was super sweet. We were given a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary! FYI they validate parking tickets

Great service and reasonable pricing but the steak and burger didn't meet our taste bud expectation ! The hanger steak was marinated too sweet lack that wood fired taste we were looking for ! Burger on the other hand needed a little seasoned but everything came out hot ! The portabella fries was amazing , oysters were fresh and the macaroni and cheese were enjoyed ! Worth a try if you haven't but don't think we will be coming back

Excellent steakhouse. We loved our food. We all ordered the rib-eye. It was cooked to perfection. The ribeye had lots of flavor. We did not even need the sauce on the side. The chips are very good as well. They have a nice crunch. The house old fashioned is amazing. Not too sweet. The prices are a little steep for dinner. If you want to go a little cheaper, check out their lunch menu. I've tried the spot in Vegas and I was happy to find the one here in Sacramento. I've tried all the cuts over time, and my favorite is the ribeye due to flavor of the meat. Definitely treat yourself with a yummy steak. They take reservations. The wait staff were really nice and on it.

I've passed by this place so many times. It looked fancy and a little intimidating. And today I finally decided to go in. Food and drink were pretty good and the place is beautifully decorated. Thoughts from first visit: I stopped by in the afternoon for a drink and snack while I read. The place is not busy at the time of my visit which is nice. For snack I got: Oysters- the oysters are fresh however there are little pieces of shells everywhere. It comes with two sauces I love the red wine vinegar. Just be careful of shells when eating it~ Samosa Cigar- such fun shape in samosa. It is fried perfectly. The inside is not as flavorful as a traditional samosa but it is still very delicious. Along with the sauce is chefs kiss! For drinks I got: Pig & The Lady- it's is tropical and delicious! Tart from the passion fruit. This drink is so good! A unique creation the bartender whipped up, it's like a cosmo but with tequila. When I was ordering a second sip, they ran out of gin for that drink. So the bartender said I'll whip something up. Very cool. Service is nice and helpful. The place is connected to the Sawyer hotel so you would go across the hotel lobby to use the restroom. A nice little walk cuz the hotel is beautiful too~ Considering this is a fancy place, the food and drinks are priced as expected. I would definitely come back for the Pig & The Lady~ Updated and more thought from second visit: I did come back for Pig & The Lady and more reading. And service is incredible this time. It was a 4.2 star last visit but this visit is for sure 5 stars! Above and beyond service. I was asked if I had any allergies after ordering, which is very thoughtful. I got the crab cake this time and it was delicious. Just as delicious as the samosa cigar from last time. I also got the bread service this time and I really enjoyed their bread. It's toasted so well and delightfully tasty with salted butter. Very much enjoyed this visit!

There are some highlights to this place. Here they are. Service: Wair service by Kim was 5 stars. She was friendly and knew the menu. Kitchen: Whar came out of the kitchen was good. Steaks are great and cooked perfectly. Side. Highlight was portebello fries. Other stuff was meh. Octopus salad was a bean salad. The wait time for ordering was aweful. If they have service in banquet room, walk out. Ambiance Chic place wrecked by very loud noise level No bueno

What a tremendous experience. Every aspect of it from start to finish was exactly what I'd call an elevated dining experience. We came here for our anniversary and received excellent service. We were served by Isa, who had tremendous customer service, excellent knowledge of the menu, and made our evening feel very special. On top of that the food was phenomenal. We started with the burnt ends, thick cut bacon, and crab cake... each of which were absolutely delicious. It was clear that, even as steakhouses go, this is a craft and an art for Echo & Rig. We ordered the Ribeye and the Zabuton steaks and both were cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. Echo & Rig is an upscale, trendy, and yet somehow casual place. An ideal spot to meet for drinks at the bar, share appetizers, or like us, enjoy a nice anniversary meal. We very much look forward to returning in the future!

The servers were nice and wished us happy birthday multiple times, which was nice. We got the Broadbent North coast Cabernet, the Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc as our drinks for the evening. Hubby loved his Cabernet. I loved my sauvignon. For food we ordered the calamari as an appetizer, 6 oz Angus cut fillet and the 12oz prime top loin cut with a side of mashed potatoes, cooked medium rare. The calamari was great - light, not too greasy, accompanied by a basil aioli and a modified marinara sauce, just wonderful! We got some complimentary bread but it wasn't freshly made, so the crust was a little tough. Among our steak options, the Angus cut was beautiful - tender, juicy, melting in the mouth. The top loin cut was more chewy especially on the outside, so we think it was cooked a little more than a medium rare. The center was better. Both portions were quite heavy. The mashed potatoes were decent - creamy and smooth but could have done with more seasoning. What soured things for us a little bit was the end of our meal. Since we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us a bowl of vanilla ice cream with candles to blow on. This is a very sweet sentiment. However, we didn't really ask for it. We were then charged for this "complimentary" dessert in the check. Yes, it was only $7 but why charge us for something that we didn't ask for in the first place! Considering that this is an upscale steakhouse with dishes priced as high as $75, it left a bad taste in my mouth that they can't throw in a free dessert on the house for a celebration. We paid $200 in total for the food and tips, so obviously be prepared for a pricey meal.

So we ended up ordering the 7th Street Double Bacon Burger ($26.00) and the Breakfast Burrito ($20.00) To drink we had an Urban Roots IPA and a Mexican Lager-both drinks were $9.00 Breakfast Burrito was pretty good-You could really taste the quality of the ingredients used for this dish-Potatoes-Eggs-Bacon-Cheddar-Green Onions-it was served over a plate of Black Beans and topped with a Salsa-like sauce with Crema and Queso Fresca. 8.1/10.0 Item 7th Street Double Bacon Burger-This is an award winning burger as it was the winner of the 2025 Sacramento Burger Battle-People's Choice Division-So I knew I was dealing with quality before I even walked into the building. It truly did not disappoint-it was a Prime Blend Patty-Thick Cut Peppered Bacon-Caramelized Onions-Aioli Spread-topped with Cheddar and a Sesame Onion Bun. Perfectly seasoned-flavor-balanced-very juicy-truly dripping with flavor. Chef Pedro Depina truly made a masterpiece of a dish with this burger and a musttry for any true burger connoisseur. Fries were just salt and pepper seasoned-decent enough. 7th Street Standard is currently running a Food Series promotion where they are featuring a dish from each of the A's Baseball teams opponents home city-I've seen the May dishes,I'd imagine this will continue in future months. In closing,I do understand this is a somewhat pricey restaurant to go to just for a burger and fries but I can for sure say this burger was worth the price-it's currently my favorite burger in the Sacramento area. I do recommend you try it if given the chance.
