Eclipse di Luna brought back an ounce of normalcy in these pandemic times. It was the first restaurant I've been to that was truly bustling with people AND following proper COVID-19 protocol (trust me on the latter, I'm an epidemiologist). We made reservations on a whim for table around 7pm on Friday. The soonest available was 8:30, we were in the area and arrived a bit early but were still able to be accommodated for patio seating. For COVID-19 protocol, all staff have on masks and gloves, sanitizer is available. Spacing on the patio is adequate and patrons must wear a mask when walking through the restaurant. Now on to the food and drink, this wasn't my first or even 5th time at either EDL location but everything was truly amazing this visit -- the paella del día, calamares fritos, the chuletas, the sangria, the strawberry mojitos -- everything was divine! I've been to the Perimeter Eclipse Di Luna many times, as well as the Buckhead location (although it's been quite a while; hence, the recent review). I chose this spot as my farewell happy hour before transitioning to my new job. Parking is NASTY here. I don't know what other stores or building use this same lot, but there was literally 0 parking by the time I got here between 4-5pm on a Thursday. My coworker booked the reservation and we ended up on the patio (per request, but UGH it was so muggy and hot). We got there a little early so we chilled by the bar. We had to start and close a separate tab from our table. I ordered a coconut mojito (a House mojito with added coconut flavoring) and it was tasty, although the flavor of coconut didn't seem to stand out. I also tried a red sangria (the ratios were a bit off so the sangria turned out pretty strong). The Spanish Gin and Tonic tasted like a subtle gin and tonic but didn't taste super strong. It looked like a big glass of water, and I'm not sure what the effect of the floating single coffee bean was. We ordered plenty of tapas, both to share and to hoard for ourselves. My favorites were the diver scallops and the steak tapas, but I also really enjoyed the ribs and the salmon. Each dish was unique with some truly special flavors. And that tres leches cake?? My god. The bottom was soaked in milk (YUM) and the cake was delicious. Or maybe it was the alcohol talking, who knows. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Atlanta! I've been coming here for 7 years and somehow never wrote a review! My all time favorites are the crispy green beans (lightly fried to perfection),the calamari (also perfectly fried with a tasty tomato relish), and the patatas bravos (really tender and comes with an aioli that is to die for! Really everything here is amazing! Not quite comparable to the food in Barcelona but it's a nice runner up for Atlanta. They also have salsa Thursday nights which is really fun! Also, Scott is an amazing bartender he really put on a show. Ask him to set something on fire or pour a martini using his forehead lol. read more

think Eclipse di Luna is one of the more reasonably priced tapas restaurants I've been to, but that did not affect the quality of the food! We enjoyed everything we got, and I especially loved the manchego, apple, and walnut salad (Ensalada de Manzana). Usually salads aren't a stand out dish, but I just loved the flavor combination! We get patatas bravas at any tapas restaurant that we go to, and I'm always looking for crispiness and flavor - these had both! My friend's got the lamb chops (Chuletas de Borrego), and I got the grilled chicken (Pollo a la Parilla). Both were good, and I appreciated that they even had a dish with grilled chicken breast, as most tapas restaurants don't. Our server was great, and the food came out quick. I've been to Miami Circle dozens and dozens of times and it took me until this year to visit Eclipse Di Luna. There is plenty of lot parking. Once you get inside, you realize how large the space actually is. We dined in on a Friday night and overall had a great experience. We really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great and the food was delicious. The tapas are honestly very well portioned. We ordered ceviche de pescado blanco, chuletas de borrego, which were both delicious. I'm picky when it comes to ceviche, so that's saying a lot. My husband ordered the Pescado Rostizado (pictured) and really enjoyed his meal. He said the fish we cooked very well. We ordered a pitcher of sangria, which in hindsight seems overzealous. The joke was on us because you get soooooo much drink! It's actually very much worth it if you come to drink in a group. I also recommend trying the tres leches. It was pretty good. We will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu. read more

This place was delicious and fun!! Dinner here was a highlight of our Atlanta trip! The tapas were creative and OH SOOOOO GOOD! Our server recommended the lamb (which I would not have picked on my own) but it ended up being my absolute favorite! The mojitos were also incredible!! I had a coconut mojito and again, by recommendation of our fantastic server, my husband had the bourbon mojito which was GREAT! -and not on the menu. There was a band playing which added to the fun artsy vibe. It wasn't too loud - we were able to enjoy the music and our conversations. I cannot say enough about this place. The food is outstanding. The ambience is fun and friendly. The service was great both times Iv'e been there. The first time was a business dinner I hosted with 12 people. The server was on top of it and was prompt, attentive, friendly and patient with a large group like ours. The second time was a smaller group of family I brought to have a pre-Thanksgiving dinner. Both times the experience was fantastic. This is also a fun date place as well. What else can you ask for when you come to a bar, that is the sole purpose (to drink). I have been everyday this week and have had Chris and Marcie both twice and neither time did they fail to surprise me with their hospitality!!! Marci even took the time to help me with my indecisiveness ordering!! Yes I ended up getting my regular but oh well!!! The salmon is to die for ALWAYS cooked to the temp I ask, that's a major plus being as though the Alpharetta location can't get it correct the first time to save anyone's life. Not to mention the steak I've had it twice and the cooks at the Alpharetta location just don't have a clue! Why ask me for a temp and you are not going to oblige me??? Un heard of!!! I could kick myself for not doing this review way back when. I absolutely loved this place(mostly). Tucked way back in trench, it can be just a tad bit hard to find. I arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday. The parking lot was packed, so much so I had to make my own spot. This is a good sign. I couldn't be seated until my whole party arrived, but once they did, we were sat instantly. The inside is a bit cluttered, with both people, tables and other random accents used to spruce up the place. It's dimly lit with a red light, sorta of feels like you're walking into a Latin Jazz club in the mid 1960's, except everyone has a smart phone. My friends and I had about 10 different tapas plates, however we devoured many of them before I could get a picture. The award winners were the goat cheese stuffed peppers drizzled with some sort of honey sauce; the cheesy risotto and the calamari. Unfortunately the seared tuna tasted like charcoal and the drinks were weak, weak as in I doubted the alcohol content. Also, there's a live band, that's cool if you're in the mood for dancing. If you're into talking and hearing your friends talk back.. the loudness of the band can be a little distracting. Our server was bubbly and patient--the overall services was slow though, we waited for a while to receive or dishes. I would recommend ordering a variety for all to try. And the drinks are awesome too. A wide selection! We ordered margaritas, mojitos, and caipirinhas! They were all heavy on the liquor (good thing!) And you can tell that they made each just right and muddled appropriately:) Everything I took a photo of was AMAZING! Plus the customer service was excellent! We were in Atlanta for a getaway. This place was recommended and we are so pleased that we decided to eat here 6/22/22. Our server Jessica was one the sweetest, friendliest servers we have ever had. We had the small plates of plantains and Spanish-style ribs, along with traditional paella for our main course. Not exaggerating when l say that this may have been the best meal l have ever eaten in a restaurant. Every dish was hot, fresh and bursting with flavor. My wife claimed that she would come to Buckhead(we live about 130 miles away) and spend the night just to eat here again. The manager Johnny stopped by our table a couple of times to chat and ask if everything was good. Most definitely would reccomend this restaurant to anyone. Seems petty on the part of the establishment, but it's enough of an embarrassment for me to say I WILL NEVER go back nor refer ECLIPSE DI LUNA to any friend or foe for that matter. We ordered a total of 6 tapas; pimientos, berenjenas, pulpo, calamari, remolacha, and chorizo. We also ordered the only Merlot they have in the menu: Natura (Chilean). Everything was fresh and delicious, the music was on point the whole time, and our server, Teresa, was very attentive, and friendly. Also she gave us the best advise: to choose the "tres leches" as dessert. It was AMAZING! I sampled 1 of these and it was was DELICIOUS!! The next time I'm putting in a order and not sharing!!! Tender, grilled lamb chops. You don't even need the sauce that comes under it, but it's really good too. This is a must have!!! Costillas Espanolas - Spanish style ribs. The ribs were good, tender and flavorful. Maybe 5 pieces of rib in the order. The lamb chops stole the show. But the ribs were a close 2nd. Vieras Asadas Cocidas - Pan roasted scallops. Lord, two large scallops that melt in your mouth like butter. Lightly seasoned and there's so much at the bottom of the dish to pair it with. Best scallops I've ever tasted. Macarones con Tomate Seco y Queso - I'm not sure how I almost forgot this dish. Really good macaroni with queso. The roasted tomatoes added a unique, but tasty crunch. The place is packed on Thursday nights so get there pretty early to be able to get a table in the main dining area so that you can see the band and salsa! We ordered a few tapas and the whole red snapper fish. Everything was good but that whole snapper was my highlight! It was so flavorful and cooked well. This place was very *unique. We came for a holiday work party on a Friday night, and I imagine the experience we had was not typical of what you'd see in a random Tuesday night. Women in 5-inch sparkly stilettos with giant hair, skintight pleather and sequin dresses, jewels... and their much older husbands. It was a very odd crowd, but for entertainment value, I hope it's like this here every weekend! The restaurant had the group of 20 of us squished as close as you can at a few tables pushed together, and since I was seated at the end of the last table, there was a high top table literally on my shoulder, forcing me to lean into my boyfriend in order to sit up straight. Bizarre. They really pack it in there. I think I'd return on a week night to avoid the level of crowded that could make a girl claustrophobic! The food was fantastic, though, and definitely a reason for a return visit. The food came out family style, and I really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, patatas bravas, veggie and chicken empanadas, Spanish-style ribs, and spicy shrimp. Came here for brunch a couple of times to this location and once for a birthday dinner. The food is really Good but be mindful that this is a tapas places so the plates are small and appetizer size. I love the patatas bravas and the calamari is great. I got the French toast for brunch and it has a cinnamon sugar coating plus cream on the side. The inside can be a bit gooey but I still liked it. They also have bottomless mimosas and red sangrias for $12.99 which is a good deal. The service got a little slow after we ate. I'm not sure if the server was busy with tables on the patio but it took a while to get drinks after the first two mimosas.
