The food was mediocre at best. Not horrible but I definitely would have enjoyed eating at a chain better. We got the chicken sandwich and the western burger. Both were mostly bland. Didn't like that a grilled chicken breast came on toast and the bun for the burger was just gross. Too thick and dry like a sponge almost. If you're passing through try a different local place. We decided to try Eddie's again. I had the steak and shrimp and my husband had the cold cut with onion rings. Hubby said the cold cut was ok along with onion rings. This place was recommend by our realtor who told us to try to the burgers. My mom tired the classic 1/3 with veggies and thousand island who she loved. I got the chicken Caesar salad and mocha shake. The salad itself was average but the chicken was really good and it came in a cute bowl so plus on that. I was obsessed with the mocha shake it was a good value ($3.95) and packed with flavor. The restaurant itself is clean, modern , with an easy to order menu. I also liked the self service style with to go boxes and condiments next to the soda machines. I did think it was just a bit pricey my salad, shake, and burger combo came out to $25. Definitely not an everyday kind of thing but it was well worth it and I will for sure be back. read more

I went there to order my takeout salad. I was nervous at first because the line was fairly long. Suddenly it kept moving and I ended up ordering no more than 5 minutes after entering the line. They brought my order out to my vehicle in about 5 minutes. I had a Cobb Salad with large iced tea...... $17? That was a bit steep considering it is just a salad. So it was that time of the month for me, I know TMI, but I was really craving a burger and nachos and this was the highest rated restaurant nearby so we decided to give it a go. We ordered the Santa Barbara and we substituted the thousand island for the chipotle mayo ( I was craving spice too). We also ordered the Nachos with extra sour cream and queso. And for the sides we went with the chili cheese fries ( I got those for my bf ). We got back to our hotel room to indulge in my cravings and we basically tore it all up. The burger hit the spot, I couldn't stop munching on the nachos. I think the tortillas were home made they were crunchy and hard just the right type for nachos .. Now the all-star of our meal were, the chili cheese fries. Me personally, I am not a fan of chili cheese fries. I always find them to be tasteless. Not this time! Everything was seasoned to perfection. The fries, the chili and the cheese. My BF was surprised that I couldn't put them down. Yep, they were that yummy! Eddies grill is a fantastic staple in yuma dining. There is nothing on their menu that I haven't 100% enjoyed. I know that's pretty cliche to say but I mean it!! Burgers? Amazing. Sandwiches? Amazing. Salads? Amazing... you get the point. My favorite go-tos are the chicken Caesar wrap and the a la Mexicana scramble! Plus you HAVE to try a milkshake. All of their ingredients are so fresh and their staff is ridiculously friendly. Marilyn helps us almost every time we are there and she is the kindest and most helpful person! Very nice, very clean. I always prefer more comfortable seats but the food is very good. I had a fish sandwich on toasted sour dough bread with lettuce, red onions and tomatoes and tartar sauce. My girlfriend and I were passing through on our way to San Diego. We wanted a quick lunch and found Eddies. At first we thought there was a drive-thru but it's for pick up only so I would call ahead. They were nice enough to take our order anyways. We ordered the crispy chicken wrap, tortilla soup, garlic fries, and a berry smoothie. All of that for under 20 bucks.. The wrap consisted of a mix salad with veggies and a piece of crispy chicken in each bite. The garlic fries had thyme and rosemary, while the chicken tortilla soup was warm and savory. The smoothie was the wild card and my favorite part. I went inside to use the restroom and it was fairly busy (social distancing of course). So I figured it'd take 15-20 minutes. When I walked back outside the food was already being provided to my girlfriend.. I don't do too many Yelp reviews but felt the necessity for the service/quality I got at Eddies. I don't understand how this place could possibly have such a high average review score. We stopped at Eddie's on a recent trip to San Diego, and I received what was easily one of the top 10 worst burgers I've ever seen. Before ordering "Eddie's Patty Melt", I asked the girl at the counter whether the beef was fresh or frozen. When she said fresh, I asked if it was ground in-house, and she said it was. I was pleasantly surprised, but it wasn't completely unexpected for a locally-owned place. When the burger arrived, I could tell right away that it was a frozen patty. It was perfectly round and had a uniform thickness with machine-made indentations all over the surface. Ok, fine, so the order-taker was misinformed, but maybe it would be a decent burger anyway? Nope. It was overcooked to the point where even the middle was dry as a bone. A piece of corrugated cardboard was looking pretty good at that point. In hindsight, perhaps I should be thankful. Had the burger not been cooked to two levels past 'well done', I might have gotten sick at a place like Eddie's. Other facts that contributed to this being one of the worst burgers ever: The shredded cheese---an odd choice for a burger in the first place---wasn't completely melted, so it was falling out. The grilled onions were undercooked and still crunchy. The side of onion rings was dripping with oil and had more breading than onion. read more
