(Still leaking btw) they said it was the "gasKeT" and I would have to pay another $48 to get this repaired. They said I should have brought it the day after i got the oil changed. Later after all the back and forth they offered to cover the costs for labor ,but I would have to pay for the part. Which was $3. I did not expect for them to charge me at all considering i had returned literally about 2 weeks later. (And called them over the phone twice to advise what was going on" They said i was "taking advantage" and told me god was watching. They said there was no way of knowing the part was damaged or defective . In my opinion they should have checked the gasket while doing the oil change . I ended up paying $10 which I didn't feel was fair but; at least they could pay off their $3 part they replaced. Next day after the lecture and "repair" ITS LEAKING AGAIN! haaaahahah now I have to go to the dealer and figure out what they broke on my car. I'm glad I didn't pay the $48 the second time around considering I came in with a car that was perfectly fine and left with a leaking car . THANK YOU LA TIRES AND AUTO BODY SHOP !!! :) I've spent $120 total for oil, filter, labor, a "gasket" and now I have a car with a bigger problem and NO OIL . DO NOT GO HERE !

And so, you go home, and you Google "Best independent mechanic in _____ zip code," and you see what pops up on Yelp, and you read some promising reviews, and you make an educated guess as to which mechanic sounds like your best bet, and you drive to their location with a hope and a prayer that this random garage you found on Yelp can fix your vehicle in a timely manner without charging you an arm and a leg. In that case, I'm happy to report that AV Auto can! Long story short, my check engine light came on, I ran (free) diagnostics at AutoZone, I went to the dealership, I left the dealership, I cursed the dealership, and then I found AV Auto on Yelp. AV confirmed the diagnosis (I needed a new engine coolant pump), recommended I get the part online (for a better price), set a time for the repair, and finished the job in less time than they quoted me. If only everything in life was this easy! So if you're reading this, and you're thinking to yourself, "Can I trust this random dude on Yelp about this random garage on Yelp?" the answer is: "Yes. Yes you can."

His price for the tire sensors was the same cost as the Costco Tire Center, which unfortunately didn't carry tire sensors for a Malibu, & originally recommended 20 new lug nuts. Greg had his mechanic install the new lug nuts that I already had, at no additional cost. The facility has limited areas to wait, but there is a nearby coffee shop within a short walking distance. Greg was personable, smart, a great listener, efficient, professional, & made recommendations to save me money on future car repairs. Greg has earned my trust. West Coast Tires does all types of car work (example: oil changes, etc.), except for body work. I am grateful for Greg's honesty, & will return.

Unfortunately I was rear ended and pushed into another car. Fortunately no material frame damage, but the front and rear were heavily damaged and thus the vehicle was totaled. I bought the car back from the insurance company and was referred to Rabih by AAA to restore it on my dime. Few shops would take this job on, but Rabih showed genuine compassion for my situation and my love of the Jaguar. He is a car guy. Due to the age of the car (22 years), it was hard to get all the necessary parts, but Rabih persisted and personally tracked down even the most difficult pieces to restore the Jaguar to "as new" condition. Some reviews say he is expensive. I am experienced in car repair and can say with authority he is priced right on the market, actually a little lower considering the EXCELLENT quality of his shop's work. Quality is critical for major repairs, or nightmares will manifest over time. My Jaguar drives perfectly and looks pristine a year later. That's what matters.

Buddy Paint's estimate was about 20% higher, but I still decided to go with Buddy's because of the 5-Year material & labor warranty (the other company did not offer any warranty) and the feedback from the customer I spoke to. I also felt like Robert would take care of us. The crew was friendly and efficient. They prepped the home well. Robert was responsive when we told him of a few spots that needed extra attention. There was one issue (accidental damage) that I wish would have been proactively handled. But Robert worked with me to resolve to our satisfaction. Overall, we love the new look of of our home. Our neighbors complimented the work. The crew did an excellent job and had great attention to detail. Robert was a great with communication and follow through. He took the time to walk me through a game plan for my next service and explained what should be addressed moving forward to make sure nothing negatively impacts my engine. That level of care and transparency is rare. On top of that, he filled my tires because they were low--completely on his own, without me even asking. On 8/20/19 We emailed Eddy our vehicle make and model and the diagnostic report and parts from our dealer showing what repairs needed to be made to Mini Cooper Countryman. The repairs included: Oil filter housing gasket, replace the thermostat and water pipe, add antifreeze and fix the circuit board because the lights kept shorting out. We dropped it off on Thurs,8/22 in the morning. The same afternoon around 4pm we received a call from Eddy giving us a quote for $1,750 to do all of the repairs. He said that the repairs would take 2-3 days. Because this is the only car in our household we asked Eddy if he felt the car would be safe for us to drive over the weekend and we could drop it off that following Monday. On Friday, August 23rd in the morning my wife went and picked the car. On the morning at 8:30am Mon, 8/26 we dropped the car off again. I picked the car up on Wed, 8/28 I picked the car up around 3pm in the afternoon. I paid $1,737.28. Eddy told me after the charge that he did not fix the circuit board. Because my wife initially had the conversation with him, neither of us realized until later that he had quoted us to fix the circuit board but he still charged us for it. Thurs, 9/29 we drove the car to LAX where we left it while we were out of town. We arrived back on Mon, 9/2 and on our way home the car stalled out. We tried to restart it several times and eventually had to get it towed to our home. We had it towed to Eddy's on Tues, 9/3. I called him that afternoon and he said that he drove the car around for 30 minutes and couldn't find anything wrong with the car. I picked it up later that afternoon and 5 minutes after leaving the car stalled out again. I had the car towed to the Mini dealer on Wed, 9/4 they ran a bunch of diagnostics and found that the repairs were not done properly. We were skeptical that they were not being truthful about their findings since Eddy's had such good reviews and was really super nice. We wanted a second opinion so we had the car towed to Minicorsa. All we said to them is to do a full inspection and tell us what they found. Danny Darwician from Minicorsa emailed us after several hours and confirmed that the coolant leak was not fixed properly. Eddy's shop tried to use glue (pics below) and that none of the other repairs were made properly. We were disappointed. We called Eddie and explained to him that the Mini dealer said he used glue to try to repair the coolant leak and none of the other repairs were completed properly. He immediately got defensive and said that the dealer will make up lies and he did complete the repairs and so on and so forth. We told him that we thought they were lying as well so we had the car towed somewhere else and they confirmed that the issues that he claimed he fixed were not repaired and that there was glue used to fix the coolant leak. We asked if he could provide us a refund as now we were going to have to get the repairs done. He said the only thing he could offer us was to bring the car back and let him make the repairs. Why would I do that? Why weren't the repairs that we were charged for completed? There you have it. All of the documentation is below so you can judge for yourself. read more

I was very pleased with the service! I got there with my car, they welcomed my immediately and the guy (Eddy) was very friendly. He called his mechanic and they diagnosed the problem on the spot and fixed it while I was waiting. I was lucky he had the needed part there. The price was cheaper than I expected so I left happy with my car fixed and running properly. I usually don't trust mechanics, but I felt that I was good taken care of this time. This is the only place I'll take my car to get fixed in LA. My driver's side mirror got knocked off, and after getting a quote from 3 other places and giving up hope that it was going to cost less than $400 to fix, we stopped at Eddy's and he fixed it for $275 (parts and labor). He was super nice, was great about calling me back, and fixed it and had it back to me in no time. What a great guy and what a great place. read more

Eddy is the best. I used to live around the corner. I've since moved and still go to him. I totally trust him. Often times I think there's something wrong and he tells me to come back in a few weeks or a month because it's fine right now. Other places would've taken my money. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This auto center is amazing! I dropped of my Mercedes coupe that had some pretty extensive damage from an accident. Everything was fixed so fast. My car suddenly wouldn't start last week. I had no idea what was wrong. Tried it multiple times over a few days without success, so I finally got up early before street cleaning today and tried to start it once more before calling the tow truck. However, it started! ‍ I took it anyways and when I pulled in, a friendly mechanic named John quickly came out of the office to ask how he can help. I told him the issue I was having. He immediately went into help mode and checked the battery informing me it was at 87% so not that. Then he connected my car and ran a diagnostic. No codes came up. He didn't see anything wrong. Started the car multiple times with no issue. Said the starter may be going out but didn't want to guess because it could be something else and didnt want to waste my money. Another guy came up while John was checking under the hood. He sent him to look my car up to check if there were any recalls, which I was happy to find out that there weren't. John told me to bring the car back if it happens again. I asked him how much I owed him, fulling expecting to be charged for his time and service as I have had to pay Meidas $200 to run a diagnostic before. He said "No charge."I was so happy that I gave him a hug! Super nice guys. They were professional, clean cut, KIND, generous with their time, and seemed to me to be very honest. There were already several people waiting patiently for John as I got in my car and drove away. Great experience! Will definitely use them again in the future! Thank you SO much!!!

Edwin was very professional and took the time to explain everything in detail. They checked the catalytic converter and its cover--everything was secure and in good shape. They completed an oil change, a full brake job, they also found that my front wheel bearings needed replacement--especially the right one, which was making a lot of noise. The left side was quieter but still recommended for replacement. Additionally, they pointed out that my filters were extremely dirty and that an alignment would be done after the wheel bearings were replaced. I appreciate their thorough inspection and honesty.
