Tried Egg Harbor in Schaumburg today with the hubby. We love our breakfast tradition during Saturday mornings after a long work week! As pictured, I tried the traditional breakfast which came with bacon, eggs, potatoes, English muffin with jam. Very good! Bacon was excellent, the muffin was fresh and the jam was delicious! So smooth! Both me and my husband particularly enjoyed the jam. Coffee was ok, a little watered down. Husband got the meaty skillet - with double bacon, ham, and other meat along with English muffin and jam. Service was a bit slow - our waitress never came back to take our order, however another waiter came over and helped. Food was very fresh and tasty. The place is nice and inviting, and it was packed. We had no wait - we literally were able to walk in and get seated. Pricing was very reasonable. My breakfast was $11.50 and my husband's skillet about $14. Would recommend!! read more

We have been to Egg Harbor in Schaumburg a few times but not for the last 2 years. First about the restaurant. Like most other good brunch places this place too gets very busy. However, recently they started online waitlist system which is perfect. If you plan on visiting this restaurant make sure you enter their waitlist well ahead of time. The waitlist will provide how many folks are ahead of you so you can plan to go in accordingly. Make sure when you reach the restaurant you check in with the staff else they will move on to the next party on the list. On weekends the place gets very busy so the service was definitely slow. We had to ask for utensils and condiments multiple times. We asked for a side of honey but never got it. The restaurant is very clean and they take all the necessary covid precautions. All tables are cleaned between guests and they provide hand sanitizer on each table. They have good selection of brunch food items. We had "make your own omelet" with the side of potatoes and substituted the english muffins with their small size pancakes. Their rainbow pancake is always a big hit with kids. It is a large pancake stuffed with a lot of M&M. We also tried the blueberry pancake which did not hit the spot. The blueberries were a bit sour which did not taste right in the pancake. The other dish we tried was protein wrap which came out very dry and stuffed with lot of beans. Both of these dishes were not to our liking and we had to ask them to take it back. We talked to the manager about both of these dishes and he was very understanding. He immediately substituted both the dishes with rainbow pancake and tricolor quinoa bowl. The manager kept checking to make sure we were happy with the new dishes. Overall, I would say our experience was good but the slow service and couple of item quality not being good I am only giving them 4 stars. read more

Dining with food allergies (milk and egg) and it's posted to let employees know but the waiter we had seemed like he could've cared less. I asked what options were available for me and he pointed out a few options. I decided on a skillet without the egg or Cheese. The flavor was ok but some of the potatoes were soft and some were hard. The portions are also small for the price point. Employees should also be able to tell for allergens if the bread or English muffins have been processed in a plant with allergens. Orange juice says fresh squeezed but it didn't taste fresh squeezed at all. I was told I'd get fresh fruit in place of the eggs but he must have forgotten because that never came. My fiancé had a skillet but the avocado was forgotten. Our waiter didn't check on us at all during our meal so we had to flag him. I used to frequent a few Egg Harbors before I moved some 8 years ago, but I tend not to be in their areas as much anymore. But early Easter morning as I was leaving work and heading to church, this one was in my path and I was looking for a good quality, quick breakfast. Egg Harbor - Schaumburg fulfilled that need quite well. They've changed their menu over time and while they still have some nice options, I've long missed the Santa Fe Chicken Roll-ups; that dish alone helped me make a point of visiting Egg Harbor now and then. And while I was there for breakfast this time and didn't peruse the entire menu too vigorously, I don't recall seeing the Chicken Wild Rice soup either - hopefully it's still available. Still a decent variety albeit a smaller menu than in the past. That said, on this visit I decided to try their homemade CB Hash, which came with their hash brown potatoes, an English Muffin and eggs, which I ordered scrambled. Hit the spot. As homemade CB Hash goes, it was pretty good, as was everything that came with it. Thumbs up. But it was my server, Samantha that put the visit over the top. Prompt service and mega-pleasant... just the type of person that gets ones' morning off to a good start. I've said it before and I'll say it again - just about anyone can make good food these days, but personable service seems to be much harder to find. Egg Harbor Cafe in Schaumburg absolutely nails it for best breakfast/lunch in the area. They are totally customer centric and retain old customs like crayons and paper for children. Their service is excellent and they provide you with a carafe of coffee and even paper cup to go when you're ready to leave. I can't recall any restaurant where that was the norm. Food is on par with any high end restaurant without high end pricing. What put this over the top for me was the offering of shashuska. Poached eggs over a bed of stewed tomatoes and spices. Cozy little brunch joint around the corner from where my cousin resides. Since we were in the mood to have something to eat before he goes into work. We decided to hit up this place. Cool factor is the whole down home neighborhood brunch spot feel. Love the granny decor and the really cool mugs they use for coffee is an awesome touch. I went with the breakfast joint test dish. The biscuits and sausage gravy dish with 2 over easy eggs. You can't really mess up a biscuits and gravy dish, which means a restaurant would have to be pretty terrible if that was the case. But in this case, their biscuits and gravy was phenomenally yummy. I love the pieces of sausage meat in the gravy. The meaty start to finish is also a divine experience, plus their buttery biscuits are super heavenly. Their hash is good too. Plus their over easy eggs eats well with the dish. Service was awesome! Four star is definitely for exemplary customer service that was given to my daughter and I as we sat down and had breakfast this Saturday morning As we walked up we saw people standing in the corridor and within the corridor seated as well we thought it was going to be a grueling wait we way it in about 15 or 20 minutes they gave us a buzzer along with taking our names about 20 minutes went by he were summoned to our tables where we were introduced to the specials of the day My daughter and I decided to share one of the healthier scrambles which had egg white mushrooms onions and other veggies this also came with a scrumptious biscuit We also design it that we would get the shrimp and grits which came with bacon and onions green onions along with cilantro I didn't realize the amount of onions and cilantro that will be in the dish so I end up picking out most of it when I like what they did is the waitress asked if we will be splitting the dishes what which we were and they split the shrimp and grits up for us the scramble also we also got a side of Pancakes on the side those were the lightest fluffiest pancakes I've ever had with homemade syrup in the home of preserve that I added to my biscuit was delightful They had a lot of signature egg scrambles a lot of signature pancake dishes a lot to choose from my school is not too far away from this location I can definitely see myself coming back what the two dishes I only spent about $26 which is absolutely awesome I will be back read more

Egg harbor was great! I always see a a crowded parking lot for this restaurant and even a line out the door on weekends so last Saturday we walked over from our hotel around 7:45 for breakfast. We were seated immediately. Service was fast, almost too fast where you feel they want you to get out ASAP but I understand why. I ordered an iced latte, plain Belgian waffle and side of sausage. My coworker ordered coffee and the farmers Benedict. Our food was delivered quickly and was fresh. The waffle was good and so was the sausage. What took me so long to get here!? My best buddy and I had a great lunch here this week! For business people in Schaumburg, it's such a great option. We got in quickly, food came out lightning fast and we were completely finished within 30 minutes of sitting down. Everyone working was so friendly, it was like some ho dunky sitcom from the 50s or something. No denying though, above and beyond friendly services from the hostess to the server to the busser and even the cashier. Egg Harbor has a ton of tasty sounding breakfast items on their menu. I stated my exploration of their offerings with the Barrington Benedict ($10). I can never finish my portion when I eat out but this was so good and I am such a beast that it was gone quickly. I ate it all, monster style! Piled on top of an English muffin was Canadian bacon, poached eggs (so wonderfully runny) and hollandaise sauce. The breakfast potatoes it came with were just alright and I didn't really touch them honestly. I was much more focused on the main task at hand. Loved everything about Egg Harbor and I personally prefer it over Wildberry, less waiting & pretentiousness with more flavor & friendliness. Wow! So glad I tried this place! My friend and I met up at Wildberry (amazing) but with it being the holidays, it was packed. It was around 10am on a Thursday morning and the wait was 40-45 minutes. We were on a time crunch so we decided to eat here instead. The place was full but the wait was only 10 minutes. We got seated fairly quickly and our waitress came to our table soon after. Her name was Lauren. She was upbeat and nice. Her flower pen was a nice touch too. She did a good job coming back asking if we needed anything, but not to a point where it was annoying or an inconvenience. The menu has a great variety of choices. A lot of things sounded good, but not necessarily filling (at least for me). My friend said she's tried at least one thing in every category, and it was all great. On that note, I ordered the San Antonio skillet and she ordered the Bacardo omelette. Now, I don't normally order skillets, but thank god I did. It was delicious! The flavors jumped at me, especially the chorizo and jalapeño. It was super filling. I was going to only eat half and bring half home but I couldn't put my fork down. It was a winner. They were the right amount of sweet, and the berry compote was delicious! The bacon and eggs turned out good as well. The French toast will definitely fix your sweet craving! Stopped into the Egg Harbor Cafe for a late breakfast/early lunch. I enjoyed the California Club, which was fresh and contained a plentiful amount of sliced turkey. We literally saw Egg Harbor across the parking lot from the Starbucks and decided to give it a shot. The place is very nice on the inside. Not too crowded, even though it was a weekday morning. This Egg Harbor location is pretty great! The staff was friendly and attentive. The cream of chicken and wild rice soup was delicious and comforting on a chilly day. And the chicken salad salad was delicious! We went for a very late breakfast so we weren't super hungry anymore by that point. The you-pick-two option was just perfect! While I don't find their coffee to be the best (especially with Starbucks RIGHT there), the coffee mugs themselves are adorable. I will definitely be back to try more breakfast favorites.
