Caramel Macchiato!!! Couldn't wait to taste. So I did then took the pic.

AMAZING! Let's start with this, greeted with a friendly smile and seated immediately. All staff we interacted with on this sunny Saturday was very nice and welcoming. There is GREAT ambiance and seating options at this cafe. Caramel Macchiato for the win!!! It was so good I was using my spoon for the yummy sides. I had to tell the barista this was in the top 2 that I've ever had and this is my go to drink. The Barrington Benedict with fruit was sooo good. The egg was perfectly poached and the rest was perfect temperature and bite. The season fruit bowl was tasty. My date enjoyed one of the skillets which was a massive amount of good food with leftovers. Thank you Egg Harbor Cafe in Wilmette this has been THE BEST ONE YET!!!

I came with my children during winter break. Parking was easy to find on Central but the entrance is on Green Bay. We were seated right away and our waitress checked in on us often. I had a cup of coffee with the San Antonio skillet. I enjoyed the skillet very much and ended up taking half of it home. I ordered a kid's breakfast for one of my children and I'm surprised it didn't come with any toast or side. It was only a plate of bacon, eggs, and a fruit skewer for $6.99. I ended up giving her the English muffin that came with my meal. My other daughter had a bagel and side of potatoes. The potatoes are very good!

Create your own skillet: chicken sausage, tomato, spinach, goat cheese, hollandaise sauce on the side, and poached eggs

It was my first time coming here and they have such an extensive menu. I got the brown sugar latte, kind of a dupe to Starbucks, but honestly wayyyy better! I wish starbs had as good a brown sugar latte as this place! I ordered the create your own skillet which was good! There are other menu items I want to try too.

Is it really worth it to lose customers permanently just to save a few pennies on deliveries?

Mid Kitchen has a pretty big variety. Get something meaty or something plant based. The prices are pretty high but that's to be expected for the location and quality. Came at lunch. It's actually a pretty small place so it's always packed. There's only a few tables. At least that means people like it. Usually there's a long wait. A while later and we finally got one. It's about $15 for a sandwich, which is a lot but it's great stuff. I got the Vegan Club. This has avocado, along with plant based versions of bacon, chicken, and mayonnaise, along with lettuce and tomatoes. She got the Vegan BLT. This is almost the same thing but simpler. Got to say it has limited hours and space, which are the bad things about it along with it being expensive. It's got a lot for breakfast and lunch. They're closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the smell, and it is coming from the outdated carpet. It is not subtle. It lingers throughout the entire space and makes it hard to fully enjoy the experience or even have much of an appetite. Older carpet is a real issue in restaurants. Over time, it traps dust, food particles, grease from the air, moisture, and bacteria. If it is not regularly deep cleaned or replaced, that buildup starts to break down and creates a heavy, musty odor. It does not stay contained in the carpet either, it rises into the air and essentially fills the entire space. The smell is so strong that it takes away from what would otherwise be a really good dining experience. Updating or properly maintaining the carpet would make an immediate and noticeable difference.

I got a latte and the smashed avocado toast with a poached egg. It came with a side salad. It was all VERY good. The toast was perfection - can't believe it was gluten-free. The spicy chicken sandwich $21 was extremely soggy and chewy, and their "spicy" part is just hot sauce. It had no flavor. It was such a disappointment. And the "side salad" wow. ok. drowned in vinaigrette. The Wheat's End Skillet $22 was mid. Not spicy, bread wasn't good, and their veggies were mush. Service (1/5): There was a guy and a girl working and the girl was on coffee duty, while the guy was just taking orders and talking about lotion and soft hands. It was so weird. Ambiance (2/5): At least there's like 3 seats to sit on while you wait for your food. Other than that, it's just an "order, wait 25 mins, and take your soggy food home" place. They are a gluten free place too. Everything is put into Styrofoam take-out boxes. The prices are dine-in prices for soggy, flavorless food. I understand gluten free ingredients are expensive, but $22 for a skillet where 3 (eggs, bacon, and veggies) out of the 4 items (eggs, bacon, veggies, and bread) are already naturally gluten free is disappointing. I felt ripped off. @meni - Thanks for the comment! Cute business name! ;)

You start at one end of the line and move down the checklist-style menu, choosing your base, protein, toppings, and sauces. I went with the Korean BBQ, which was flavorful and well-seasoned. I also highly recommend their yum yum sauce for a creamy texture that mixes well with the bowl. If you really like it, they also sell bottled versions. They also offer a few lemonade options; I tried the passion fruit lemonade and it was refreshing without being overly sweet. Price-wise, it's slightly higher than I expected: about $17 for a bowl with no premium add-ons and a small drink. But the upside is you're getting a relatively healthy, customizable meal that doesn't leave you feeling weighed down. Overall, a solid choice near the airport if you want something quick, fresh, and moderately healthy. Especially if you're not starving but want better-than-fast-food quality.

(2/5) | How Did We Get Here?... to not-so-fresh fast food (Rosemont, IL - 15 mins from ORD)…read more I pulled up to BIBIBOP Asian Grill looking for something quick, clean, and energizing--especially this close to the airport where a solid, reliable meal matters. And visually? They deliver. The space is bright, modern, and gives fresh lifestyle energy. You walk in thinking you're about to make a smart, feel-good food choice. But here's where things shifted... I arrived about 40 minutes before closing, and unfortunately, the food reflected that timing. My bowl--while generously portioned--lacked that just-made freshness you expect from a concept like this. The steak tasted like it had been sitting for a while, the vegetables were more soft than crisp, and the overall bowl didn't have that hot, vibrant, made-to-order feel. It felt more like end-of-day service than a fresh build experience. The energy at the counter also felt a bit checked out--like the night was already winding down. To be fair: * The concept is strong * The customization is appealing * The branding is on point But when your entire identity is built around "eat well, be well," freshness isn't optional--it's the standard. Would I return? Probably not. Not when the core promise didn't deliver. Final Take: If you're curious, go earlier in the day. This feels like a place where timing could completely change the experience. How did we get here? To a wellness-driven brand... that missed the mark on freshness when it mattered most.
