This is an okay place, if you are on this side of Denton and don't want to drive to the other side, where there are better breakfast places. The food was decent, but a little more expensive compared to other places nearby. Also just reading through the other reviews, the owner/manager seems to be really rude. I can't speak on this from experience, but based on some of his replies, I tend to believe it. I would come back here, if I was hungry and just didn't have the energy to drive to Old West, or Cartwright's, but if I did, I would bypass this place. read more

By far the best breakfast in Denton and it cannot be close! It looks like an old school type diner spot but the food here is delicious and hearty. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was fluffy breaded but light and not heavy on grease. Not a lot of seasoning on the batter but I prefer that. The waffles were made perfectly and had a great natural butter taste without using butter on them. My wife had the 2 x 4 and her sausage patties were homemade and look full and filling and not greasy. The bacon looked legit. A definite must stop if you are in Denton and wanting a quality breakfast. Also great customer service as well! read more

Do not let the outside of this place fool you. It looks like a dark, uninviting hole in the wall in a small strip of shopping. When you open the door to this place though you are engulfed in a beautifully done interior and friendly smiling wait staff. The music is old 50/60s hits and it's spotlessly clean in here. There's nothing "hole in the wall" about this place...it's more like a bank vault of deliciousness. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and if you have never had one you must try it. Thin sliced Ham, turkey, Swiss grilled between French toast slices and dusted with powdered sugar...it comes with syrup but I would go with the old traditional way which is to slather it with strawberry jam. It came with sweet potato fries and a perfectly done sunny side up egg. My husband had biscuits and gravy with crispy hash browns. I was going to ask him how it was but his mouth was full. It disappeared very quickly so it must have been good. We live in Frisco and just drove here for a little day trip but I honestly would make the drive just to have breakfast here. I have been wanting to try this place since it opened and as soon as I saw that my yelp bestie went and had a great experience, I knew that I had to check it out. I was starving Saturday and since this place was 10 mins away, I knew it was the place to be. I had already looked at the menu multiple times so I had an idea of what I wanted, but I couldn't decide between French toast or pancakes. My server suggested Monte Cristo French toast so that's what u went with with a side of grits. My food didn't take long at all and I was P excited to dive into my French toast. I took a bite and it was so disappointing. It was overly "eggy" and just not to my liking. Let me say this, I don't think they were bad if you care for eggs and not sweet French toast. I don't put syrup on my French toast which probably would have helped. Personally, I prefer a sweeter batter and although it's made with egg, I don't care for an overwhelming egg flavor. On a brighter note, bacon, grits and service was AMAZING!! They offered to replace my French toast, but I didn't want to be a bother so I just took it to go and gave it to my boys who loved it. This place is tremendous. First, the wait staff was excellent. They were fast and friendly. The manager personally came by twice to check on us! They were very busy yet our food and service was still exceptional!Second, the food was wonderful. My wife had an avocado, bacon and egg sandwich. Her egg was exactly as she ordered it, the bacon was crisp and it all came out on a buttered brioche bun, it was fantastic. I got the all meet skillet, I like my bacon extra crisp and this skillet didn't disappoint! I got coffee to drink, the coffee was good and I never had an empty cup. My kids had an excellent meal as well. Lastly, the price's were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. Wanted to take the kids to breakfast before school. Found this little gem! We ordered to go. The front desk staff was efficient and courteous. I ordered the breakfast sandwich for both boys with a side of hash browns and grits. Both asked me if we can go there every morning (winning)! I had granola fruit and yogurt, the fruit was very fresh and the granola seemed to be homemade. Great little dive dinner with something for everyone in the menu. This was my mom and I's first time here and we LOVE! I got the Nutella banana French toast and it was great! My mom got the 2x4 and her pancakes looked like they were from an advertisement they were so perfect and fluffy. Our server, Marvin, was so great! He made awesome recommendations and was an amazing server! Our drinks were never less than half full. We even met the manager and he was so humble and sweet and talked about how this was a family place. Overall a wonderful experience! Doesn't look like much from the outside, especially next to the DG and Ms. Lee's Cleaners but don't judge a book by its cover. The inside is clean, modern, and very nice. The hostess and waitress were both very polite and personable. They started the kids meals early so they wouldn't be hot when they came out. Atmosphere was awesome and so was the service. The food was excellent. The owner, on the other hand, was very rude. I tried to strike up a conversation with him at the register and asked him where he and his wife were from. So, he proceeded to tell me that he was a very private person in a very abrupt manner. It may had been alright if the conversation had ended right then... but then he arrogantly asked me "where are you from" and I responded "I'm from Texas" and he said "good, I'm not from Texas... so now we have something in common." It was a very awkward moment after that because he continued to tell the the waitress to "hurry and get done with this (ringing me up) because he needed her in the kitchen. When he walked away the waitress attempted to quickly recover what was almost a good visit by asking if I wanted a punch card for future discounts and I responded with "I won't be needing that after what just happened." Don't waste your time or money going to this small little restaurant. What I mean by don't waste your time. I waited an hour and 12 minutes for three eggs and three strips of bacon. Which by the way did not come. so therefore don't waste your time . And don't waste your money. The cost of what you're getting is way overpriced for what they're making. Wow! This place is INCREDIBLE!!! Nicky (sorry if I misspelled your name) was our waitress and she was AMAZING! She was very attentive, which only added to the wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and clean -- including the restrooms! I visited for a graduation brunch, and despite how busy the restaurant was we received our food in a timely manner, hot and fresh. The food was delicious!! Such a great selection of options. Came across this gem while driving to find a nice brunch place with my boyfriend and it was quite a surprising, delicious experience. the atmosphere is very cute, clean and bright. i ordered their skillet dish with hash browns, ham, tomatoes, and mushrooms and two eggs on top and came with a choice of toast or pancakes. two words: SO DELICIOUS my boyfriend ordered an omelette and he was pleased with his omelette as well. only giving it 4 stars because our waiter was not attentive at all and didn't ask us if we needed anything or checked up on us once. i will definitely be going again in the future (can't wait to try their lunch menu too) read more

This place was way above my expectations! It's in a pretty poor area, but when you go inside WOW! It is so nice and extravagant I felt out of place in my shorts and t-shirt haha! But both the hosts and waiters were awesome and met our every need. We had Nick as our waiter and he was very considerate and patient. We've been a few times and tried to few things. It's a nice setting and nice, attentive staff, but a fairly basic food. For example, the hash browns are crispy and eggs are done correctly to order, but the hollandaise sauce was a little too gluey and everything is just plain. Breakfast burrito is pretty good. We went there this morning to enjoy breakfast after our service dogs veterinarian appointment. When we sat down to wait for a table the hostesses informed us that per her manager we would have to leave as they did not allow for service dogs. I asked to speak to the manager and when he came out I had my daughters and her service dogs photo ID with both the state and federal ADA laws printed on card. He refused to even look at it and stated due to Covid they had a waiver from City of Denton to refuse service. When asked to see said waiver he stated he didn't have a copy of it and again stated that we had to leave. He was very RUDE and violented both Federal and State laws. We will NEVER return to this establishment and strongly encourage everyone to follow. We will be filing a police report and a report with the State Attorney Generals office. read more

Pretty good! Came today after wanting a new breakfast spot to try out. I had put this place off based on its location, but after looking at reviews I decided to try it out. The interior was beautiful. Not what I was expecting. Coffee was very good and strong, and I saw that they had a good espresso machine. Ordered the very berry French toast and a scrambled egg with cheese. The French toast came without the marscapone cheese that was listed in the description. Was upset because that was the main reason we ordered it. Scrambled egg did not have cheese as ordered. I assumed maybe the waitress did not hear me so I just didn't say anything. However, when I received my receipt, I was indeed charged extra for cheese. French toast was not very moist, and was a little tough. Service was just okay, but the owner was the star of the show. He was very attentive and cared about his business. For that I will be back, too try a skillet or omelet. read more

The supposed manager, I am unaware as they weren't wearing a name tag, was very argumentative with me when I was just trying to ask why I was charged 3 dollars per lemon in my 2 waters i ordered. There should be no reason why I have a 6 dollar charge on my tickets for lemons. The "manager" also went to grab the tip i left on the table, and when I said no, the "manager" said servers don't get tips and they go to the store. I will never be going back. read more
