It's a decent sized shop with about 7-8 tables scattered in a roomy dining area. I like the bright, sunny yellow paint coloring (kind of like an egg yolk or sunrise) along with the lightly tan, wooden backdrop. The front desk looks a bit like a shipping container with the sort of metallic, wavy patterning on the front. Service was friendly and helpful. Their menu offers a range of chicken items - wings, tenders, fries, sandwiches, salads, burrito, and bowls. For my first trip, I went with their recommended "The Egg n Bird" sandwich ($11.79) (it costs extra to make it a combo with fries and drink). The sandwich has a soft brioche; a couple of thick, juicy & perfectly crunchy pieces of chicken tenders; a delightful drizzle of hot honey; fried egg; gooey melted cheese; and an addictive "crack sauce" (a sort of hot honey mustard kind of sauce?). The clash of textures of flavors (crunchy and soft, heat and sweet, etc.) mesh together super well. The fries are nicely seasoned and have a great crispy exterior (which you coat with more of their crack sauce). It's a rich, flavorful, heavier affair, so be prepared to chill out after the meal. The Egg n Bird Sandwich (breakfast) was quite an experience. Messy, crunchy, sweet with a touch of heat. Make sure you're not going to an important meeting after this one because she'll have you drippin'! I do prefer potatoes for breakfasts, but with the size of this monster there was no room for extra. The Island Bird bowl was also quite a feast. I was stuffed after indulging, but the flavors again were balanced. Only thing I would ding them on would be the rice. It tasted and felt like the rice they had at my high school cafeteria. If I could be just a bit more critical, I would LOVE to have the option to make the ENB burrito as messy as the sandwich. I bet it would be delectable to have the same yolk-sauce mixture. And even though I have only seen two people working at a time (I usually come during the morning) the peeps be grooving and hustling. The cashier who took my order was very friendly and helpful for someone like me who is dining here for the first time. After her recommendations, I chose the Island Bird Bowl and the Korean Bowl, which I was told was one of the most popular choices. My order came out in less than 10 minutes and it was carefully wrapped in to go containers. The Korean bowl is very good as the chicken has flavor, tender and lots of crisp on the outside had enough spice for me to make it tasty. The fried egg was a great add on. The majority I've tried have been fairly underwhelming with sparse thin chicken pieces and an inordinate amount of breading. Egg N Bird had me a bit scared as I saw "tenders" for their sandwiches and I had an immediate reaction of disappointment when I read the menu. I was pleasantly, and very happily surprised. We had the EggNBird sandwich and the Nashville Hot. Both had good size fried chicken pieces with breading that was not overwhelming but good and crisp. Their flavors were fun and balanced. Been here twice now. First time my wife and I's sandwiches were burnt to the point of being pitch black. She had the egg-n-bird and I had the Nashville hot. Both were garbage. I filed a complaint on their website and nobody wrote back. I swore I wouldn't give them any more business. Thing was though, the sauces were so good on the burnt chicken I was still able to eat it and the BBQ fries were so good I couldn't get them out of my mind. Few weeks later I figured I'd give them another chance since I seemed to be the only person with a bad experience. Second visit I ordered the Korean bowl and my wife had the island bowl. We both got a side of fries. This time around everything was perfect. Chicken crispy with a nice brown batter instead of pitch black. We both really enjoyed the bowls. They're extremely filing and had a nice variety of flavors. Their seasoned fries were a huge portion too. So even though I've had one bad experience and one good experience I can honestly say I'm a fan and will be back. The flavors here are unique and there's a nice variety. I am disappointed though that nobody from the website contacted me in regards to my first visit issues. With restaurants hurting right now they should make customer service a top priority. read more

I love the crispness of the chicken and would dare to say the crunch is almost that of a Korean fried chicken. The flavors are there but the Nashville could do without the oiliness. Be prepared to have oil dripping down your hands if you take the wrap off. I ate this at 10 am so can't really say if I enjoyed it our not. Little disappointed that the price does not include sides so it will cost you a little more. I should've have ordered the egg n bird breakfast burrito. I don't pay much attention to new chicken sandwich places because there are so many of them now, but this one piqued my interest due to wider variety of flavors, rice bowls, and breakfast items. 4 piece chicken tenders was good, but pretty standard. Batter was crispy, although it could've used more flavor. I felt it needed some sauce, which they forgot to include with my order. I'm a bit confused because the menu indicates chicken tenders come with Crack Sauce, pickles, and buttered toast. For some reason they included fries, which isn't suppose to be included on a la carte, but didn't provide any sauce. FC Banh Mi sandwich was good but didn't really taste like banh mi. It had the same veggies as a banh mi sandwich but was lacking in acidity and sweetness. This one was more like a mild slaw than the ones you find in a typical banh mi sandwich. My favorite item so far is ENB PBJ. This thing looks and tastes deadly. It's a breakfast sandwich comprised of fried chicken tender, fried egg, bacon, peanut butter, grape jelly, pickled jalapeños, and Crack Sauce. I shouldn't be eating something like this while I'm sick, but it tasted so good. Loved the combination of sweet, savory, spicy, and acidity, all at the same time. From there, she gave a well thought-out explanation of what customers liked from each section and gave us time to decide.
