From there, she gave a well thought-out explanation of what customers liked from each section and gave us time to decide. Love this place! I ordered from here last year and they gave me a sample of their banana pudding which I really liked. However, I wasn't really a pudding girly at the time. But with the recent upsurge of banana pudding matcha, I started to crave banana pudding. I remembered this place existed and I ordered banana pudding from them and mixed it with my matcha. I honestly got the inspiration from Coffee & which has banana pudding matcha, but I wanted more serving of just the banana pudding so I just decided to get a side of banana pudding from Egg N Bird and add on more to my matcha. They have better prices and bigger servings of banana pudding than most places do nowadays. I went to another place before I stopped by egg n bird and they were selling a small portion of banana pudding for $7..... but at egg n bird I got a big amount for only about $5. I wanted some fried chicken, remembered the Yelp event I attended a few weeks ago, and how I enjoyed my sandwich. Next thing I knew I was in my car and off to Egg N Bird. Since I wanted something new, I chose the PBJ sandwich; I figured one could not go wrong with peanut butter, jelly, bacon, egg, jalapeño, and fried chicken. Well, I was right. I had such high hopes having heard about this place and can say I was let down. First, in a nearly empty restaurant, it took 15 minutes to get our food and it came warm - not hot like I expected since it was so long. Food was ok - no thrill at all. My boyfriend and I shared to two dishes and we could not finish either, so we took the rest to go. One of the things that stood out to me is the sauce they use to drizzle their fries and rice bowl. The perfect savory taste that's not too salty or spicy. Really great with ANYTHING on their menu. At this time, they had offered some of their customers a french toast churro-esque dessert item as a trial run since they're thinking about putting it on their menu. However I can honestly say nothing we ordered screamed uniquely delicious; we have to come back. This restaurant has a nice attractive logo/concept; which is intriguing enough to get you in the door but it fails to deliver with food and taste. I think the seasoned French fries are what stood out the most. The rest was just what you would expect in any fast food restaurant. I really wished it was out of this world spectacularly delicious but it's not. I think Other National chicken chains delivery more bang for your buck (so to speak). I've been really into chicken sandwiches lately and wanted to try this place since they just opened up. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good. It had a lot of flavor and hit the spot. I gave 3 stars for a few reasons. I was really looking for to a Juicy and well sauced Nashville hot chicken sandwich like they show in their pictures. This was not my experience. To begin with, I ordered from home and made it there within about 10 minutes and our food was already up for us. Don't get me wrong, I am all for speedy service but our food had been sitting so long it had already started to cool off. This is a problem for two reasons: 1. The sandwiches were pre made and 2. Cold food and soggy fries can literally ruin a meal. Next, my Nashville hot was extremely dry with barely a smidgen of sauce. I'm glad I had ordered a side of sauce for my fries otherwise I wouldn't have gotten through my sandwich. I also don't like the fact that they charge you a $1 for 1single small side of sauce when each sandwich should come with a complimentary one upon request given how dry it is. Every single thing that ive gotten from there from the sandwiches to the bowls all the way down to the sauce is exquisite. So much so, I always have a hard choice picking my winning combination for the visit! The service is always excellent. Every time i go in the crew is welcoming and greets me on entry. It really makes me feel like i matter. Not only that, but the team members are incredibly personable. On many occasions ive gone in and have had very grounding, down to earth talks with the kind young man Connor. All that being said The ambience has no room for criticism. It is a fast food restaurant therefore it doesn't require ambience because they are they to provide you great food in a timely manner, which they do.
