When it comes to breakfast rarely am I up early enough to indulge in it so it's a rare treat when I get to seek out breakfast food on a weekend. I was travelling out of town with family to do an escape room right near Egg Plantation and after seeing their menu we figured there was no way we couldn't stop here and try it out. They let you call ahead a half hour before you arrive to get on the list so we took advantage of that and only waited about 10 minutes to be seated when we got there. The server was friendly and prompt in getting our drinks out and taking our order. The food came out fast and hot and my oh my was it delicious. I had the Mexican Benedict, I love eggs benedict and this special stood out on the menu so much that I just had to try it. It is absolutely delicious, I've never had extra crispy hash browns before but when the waitress asked if I wanted them I had to say yes and I'm glad I did, they are excellent. This is a must try for any breakfast lovers. Everyone in the group had something different from the mexican benedict to the pizza omelet, to a bacon/banana omelet, even a breakfast burrito and every one of us were super satisfied. read more

One of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. We selected this restaurant based on the number of stars and positive reviews that it received. We still don't know what the hype and long line was all about... Check in was very professional and efficient. We were seated within 15 minutes without having a reservation. Complimentary coffee was available while we waited. On the menu, there are definitely 101 different types of omelets available, but the sheer number seems to be too much for them to manage effectively and still provide a quality product. Our server was very prompt with getting our drinks, but after that was very hard to flag down as he was covering a number of tables. Our food was delivered efficiently by someone other than our server, but he delivered the correct plates to all 4 of us. The kids pancake breakfasts were okay, but they have had more flavorful, less doughy tasting pancakes for less elsewhere. My wife's shrimp and crab omelet tasted fishy, so the shellfish was not fresh. She was unable to finish it and had a stomachache afterward. My corned beef and swiss omelet tasted okay, but I had diarrhea less than 30 minutes after we left. The coffee had a weird taste as well, even before we started eating. My wife ended up having to serve our coffee refills herself after a number of unsuccessful attempts to flag down our server. We experienced sticker shock after receiving the check...$4.25 for a small glass of orange juice, seriously? We could have gone to McDonald's and had a better meal for a third of the price. Came here for bunch with a brunch of my favorite people :P It was a little bit of a wait for our big group, but well worth it. I liked the locals vibe and super nice service! There is a lot of choices on the menu, it's a bit overwhelming! BRUNCH Crab egg benedict +Hot sauce: had to get my BFF to come back to buy extra bottles as a gift Nutella crepes All the food was GREAT. Large portions, but we shared. I think the prices are fair. Overall, if you have the time, it is a good place for breakfast or brunch! read more

Gave this place a 2nd chance after the pandemic, and was disappointed again. Before the pandemic this place was just as rude so covid isn't to blame. I thought the staff would be just as happy as us that things are going back to normal... Sadly the staff doesn't seem to have any thrive or thankfulness to be back working and socializing once again. The staff is not friendly nor attentive to guests. Took my 3 kids who are adults and were just as disappointed! We had Jack I believe?(can't miss her, has several tattoos)... and she was not genuinely kind. Food ordering took longer than necessary, didn't check on us if we needed anything else (at all) I flagged her down for water's and even this took her a long time. We were done eating by the time she finally brought our water!! Not worth your hard earned money here! read more

Definitely easy place For breakfast with an extensive menu. The service is always friendly and fairly timely for how busy it is - even on weekday mornings. The food itself is okay. It's not bad by any means but also not great. We continue to come to try different items. So far their waffles are my favorite. read more

This small, locally owned restaurant is just what you want for a great breakfast. With 101 omelets on the menu plus inventive twists on standard breakfast fare, everyone will find something they like. I had a petite (3 egg) omelet that was perfect on every front. The coffee was good, and my cup was never empty even though the place was packed on a Monday day morning. Can't recommend the Egg Plantation highly enough read more

Good colorful place for lazy brunch with mimosas. Good move having water sprays around for hot days. We had the 2 egg breakfast and classic benedict. Food wise, i would give them 3 stars. Just taste wise, it felt very normal specially the potatoes and hash brown. The menu though has a lot of options. It was very busy as expected, but still wasnt too bad. The interioir is colorful and they have seating outside and inside as well. The service was prompt and smooth. There is ample parking around, thats another plus. Overall, a good place! read more

The ambiance is super cute, I'm sitting there right now and I'm already turned off because of the service, I have the worst waiter ever that I don't want to leave a penny tips. Been here a few times for breakfast, and find the menu fascinating. It takes at least ten minutes to select which one of the 100+ omelets to choose. They use 4 eggs for each one. This time we decided to split one...picked separate sides and didn't mind the $3.95 extra charge because the portions were large. Egg Plantation closes at 2, and can be crowded. There is a nice ladies gift shop next door to browse, and benches to wait. read more

I have been meaning to come here for the past few years, but we finally got around to it! We had a little bit of a wait to get seated (as expected for a weekend morning), but once we got to our table we were promptly greeted and our food came out very fast, especially for the crowd! The menu was large and diverse - which helped accommodate both the breakfast lovers and breakfast haters in our group. There were plenty of options for everyone. My family and I arrived to Egg Plantation at 9:30am on Saturday morning. It was really packed with people waiting for both indoor and outdoor seating. Luckily we were seated in 25 minutes. I ordered Joel's Vegan Burrito (diced tofu sautéed in garlic, spinach, onion, bell pepper, zucchini, basil, broccoli, and country potatoes wrapped in a flour tortilla served with a side of salsa) and Larry's Special (Hash browns and sautéed onions with no gravy. Server said they were all fried in soybean oil and I asked for crispy hashbrowns.). My brother in law ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich with tomato basil soup (grilled sourdough toast with Jack and cheddar cheese). My sister ordered corned beef hash (my sister wanted the canned version) with two egg over easy, country potatoes , and toast. My mom ordered the French Toast. I thought my Vegan burrito was extremely bland and so was the homemade salsa. They had Tapatio and I mixed it with the salsa. The burrito was just okay. My bro in law liked his grilled cheese sandwich event though it has way too much cheese in it and he enjoyed his tomato basil soup. My sister and my mom shared their meals and they liked their food. My sister also ordered coffee and she liked the biscotti that came with it. I liked that this restaurant had some vegan options and that they put it on their menu. The server was very nice and worked very fast. They have two gender neutral bathrooms located inside of the restaurant. The entrance to the restaurant had a ramp which I thought was great. read more

Yes!!! Super yum and dog friendly. This is my new favorite spot in Santa Clarita. The service is awesome and the menu is really good. The lox bagel is amazing. I'm vegan except fish and this dish is so good you don't even miss cream cheese if you want to skip it. Also, their lattes are fun and beautiful! Salads are way too big, like 3/4 people could split the small one, so plan to share one. read more

I came here with my boyfriend for some brunch. They have 101 omelettes. You can also add any extra ingredient you want to an omelette on their menu for a small extra charge. Parking is a little tough so you might need to drive around for a bit. They have a parking lot but it's small so it gets packed. I had number 23 and my boyfriend had number 43. Our omelettes were delicious. I also had their pumpkin spice latte. Everything was wonderful and the service was fantastic. The best way to get a table is to call ahead and put your name on the list. You have 30 minutes to get to the venue before they cross your name off. We were seated right away when we came. It was awesome. We only had to wait about 3 minutes before being seated. read more

I love egg plantation, but I wish they offered more Gluten Free options... especially for Crepes, waffles,Gravy etc. By simply being able to substitute the wheat flour for GF flour. It hard to find GF options in Santa Clarita. Other than that, their service and drinks are delicious. read more

Just in case there's any doubt...I LOVE EGG PLANTATION!!! A dear friend of mine lives in Palmdale, and I'm in Burbank, so Egg Plantation is our go-to "half way" netting place!! Typically, we'll meet up around 11:30am and close the place down. First thing's first...we have always had the best, friendliest, most helpful servers who are super cool and really know the menu!! And that's no mean feat...with 70 bazillion omelette combinations and such an amazing variety of food!! And every server we've had has a deep, deep knowledge of what's freshest that day or what the kitchen is doing great on a given day!! They're also super accommodating!! Any weird-ass requests...they got you!! Making the whole experience even better, the food here is always amazing!! I've never had a bad experience here. And if anything is even the slightest bit off, refer to the paragraph above, cause this incredible staff is gonna make it right!! My friend and I usually share an omelette, cause they're ginormous!! And we both usually roll out of there STUFFED!! Oh...and Pro-tip: there's two ways to split plates here!! First is they'll just bring all your food on one plate, and an empty plate and you can split it at the table, no charge. Or for a small upcharge, they'll do a "kitchen split" where your food comes out two separate plates...half an omelette each, but a full portion of potatoes and each person gets their own toast. Last thing, and this is just one of my "things," they never, never rush us out at closing. Like I said, we shut the place down every time we go. And they'll let us hang out waaaaay past the 2pm closing, while they're cleaning up and closing down the kitchen, etc. I think we've rolled out at 3:30p before, and no one said a word. They even kept coming back and filling up ice tea and waters. Way past 2pm. Egg Plantation is awesome!! I love it!! I was suggested this place by my cousin whose brother has suggested it to him whose wife has suggested it to him, that this place has great egg dishes. I figured a place that specialized in egg dishes would make me want to get an omelette and I was surprised to see that they had a lot of options for them! Almost two straight pages on the menu! So I looked for something out of the ordinary, that I couldn't get at any other kind of place and the pizza omelet caught my eye so I got it. Once I stuck my fork in it and tasted that marinara, it was so sweet and tangy! It actually made my eyes open a little bit wider. I was so shocked at how pizza-like it tasted when combined with the green peppers, onions, mushrooms, Italian sausage, olives and cheese! There was also crab as a filling for an omelet. Would love to see what that tastes like but I'm never in Newhall being a SGV resident, and was there today, just this one time. If you go, try it for me! The place itself looked very cozy and vintage with wooden chairs and tables. Service was very pleasant and attentive, which led to a nice sized tip! Indoor and outdoor seating. Me and my partner r from LA and were out in this area on a "staycation" and let me tell u this restaurant is def a "diamond in the rough" it is in the cutest location!!! There drinks were strong and all ingredients in the drinks were so fresh!!! The menu is so big and so hard to choose from!!! Everything looked and tasted amazing!!! Ask for Kim she is super friendly giving us a customer service that we would never forget!!! This place is by far one of the best ready air ants I have visited in a long time!!!!! History

Established in 1973.

Egg Plant was the original name given to the restaurant by Maureen Anderson who was the originator of the 101 omelet menu back in the early 70's. In the early 80's Betty Travis & Marjorie Riberdy owned the restaurant and changed the name to Egg Plantation. In the late 90's the resaurant was owned by the Gallagher family who opened evenings and served traditional Irish dishes. In late 2000 to date Simon & Shannon Mee became the new owners and reopened Egg Plantation adding to the original 101 omelet menu.

We showed up around 10:45am on a Saturday morning, and to our surprise there was no wait. We were sat immediately and ordered a cappuccino and Arnold Palmer to drink. Then, I ordered the Salmon Benny with home potatoes, while my partner ordered the Churro waffle combo. It did take about half an hour to get our food, but it was well worth how fresh everything tasted. My salmon benny came on an everything bagel with cream cheese, and the salmon was served cold (in a delicious/ good way, not like it was frozen. I just wanted to make a note of this because usually when eating a salmon benedict the salmon gets warm from the temperature of the english muffin and egg). Then, the home potatoes had onions, and bell peppers and I kept commenting on how fresh the bell peppers tasted. My partner had the churro waffle with eggs, sausage and bacon. They really nailed the churro flavor of the waffle. Both our plates were completely devoured with no leftovers to take home. For our two drinks, two entrees (and the added combo to the churro waffle) it ended up being $53, which we found to be extremely reasonable for the quality, portion size, and service provided. The only thing I would mention was the parking lot gets a little crowded. They share a parking lot with the other stores in the plaza, and there were several spots open only because there were a lot of bigger cars who were over the line. No fault to the restaurant itself, just something to be aware of.

It was very tender, but I personally found it bland especially on the inside. I asked for additional sauce so I could drench each bite in the sauce. My favorite part of the plate was surprisingly the potato croquette, which was perfectly crispy and well flavored. My friend got the chicken club ($23), which he enjoyed. The street front seating and building architecture is very appealing and welcoming. As you enter the main doors, you are greeting by friendly staff. We were offered any open seating, we decided to take a table against the back wall that was adjacent to the entry. The decor inside is very rustic with a touch of micro brewery, the ceiling has many tap handles that adorn the ceiling. The menu and food, we were initially drawn into the Refinery since they seem to be the only spot that offered Brunch and Mimosas in the downtown street. Key point of clarification, the Mimosas are simi bottomless (you have 90 min) to pour down, some of us really like Mimosas, plus the price was just slightly higher that we typically expect at 27, per person. Were they good, yes, so we decided to go with one Mimosa and an Old Fashion drink, it was very well done, Buffalo Trace Bourbon. We ordered from the Brunch menu, the Steak and Eggs, cooked to your liking, they did a great job on both, the one item that we were less impressed with were the overcooked Oreda looking potatoes that accompanied the meals. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe Beni, Prosciutto, perfect poached eggs and all of the other fixings, it was great testing and the presentation was amazing. As far as my overall rating I could not give it a 5 star due to what other customers have shared in their reviews, the wait staff is not timely, almost forced friendly and possibly just lacking some restaurant experience, they did not come around or notice things like empty water glasses and a few other things, could have been understaffed possibly on this day. Overall I would still recommend the Refinery due to the location, atmosphere, drinks and main dish prep. Thank you for providing a break from reality during a very trying time in our family.

So I would say I spent more than 30minutes to get this cheeseburger. not a usual experience here at in n out but definitely not a happy experience when you're hungry and trying to get back to work quickly.

They checked, the order did not go through and I asked if I could order by phone which they happily did. We got an Italian salad, eggplant with spaghetti and lasagna. When I went to pick it up, the place smelled delicious walking in. You can see the kitchen and everything looked clean, my order was ready, I paid and was on my way quickly, The main bag I was handed was heavy. No worries about portion size! Everything came in metal circular containers which was great, no styrofoam! The plastic lids were a little flimsy, but I don't know what else you could use, you kind of need the extra domed space, I don't know that the flat paper lids would work but it might be worth a try. Part of the edge of my lid came apart and plastic fell into the eggplant, luckily I saw it while eating, because it kind of stood out n the light, so I picked it out. All portions were generous. The salad I expected mostly iceberg maybe some romaine, I was happily surprised with some mixed greens. The portion of salad dressing was tasty and generous as well. The lasagna didn't have a lot of meat but it was tasty. The eggplant was tasty as well, and had a very generous amount of spaghetti, way too much for me to eat as one meal, so I have another meal for tomorrow. In the future I would probably get the sub instead. The sauce for both dishes mostly tastes like tomatoes which is fine, but if you are looking for generous amounts of spice, this sauce is not it, think simple comfort food. Both dishes came with a good size piece of very tasty very garlicky garlic bread. Both dishes were also super hot in temperature, which was great, I dislike it when the food cools down too much on the way home. If you don't have a huge appetite two people could split the lasagna and salad and be fine, I want to try some of their other pasta dishes as well.
