First off the scrambled eggs are ridiculous. They are so creamy and fluffy I felt like I could eat a huge plate of just that. Here is what I had. Egg Tots/Fries - Wow just wow. It's potatoes with the delicious scrambled eggs. Just get it. (5/5) Gochuracha Royal West Sandwich - This is kinda like a burger with egg. Very flavorful patty with bread that's perfectly flavored. I think the normal egg sandwich is better though since this doesn't have the special scrambled eggs and just a regular egg. (4/5) Avocado Egg Sandwich - This or a regular egg sandwich is an absolute must get. Just do yourself a favor and get one of these. Perfectly creamy goodness on a delicious bread. Finally had the chance to stop by this brunch location in Westwood. The preparation and cooking of the eggs is unique, because of the fluffiness and sweetness of the eggs. We ordered on kiosks in the store, and the atmosphere would be best described as minimalist. The toasted brioche is perfect in comparison with the soft, cloud-like egg. Despite it being 'sweet,' there is a multitude of flavor in the sandwich, delicious flavors. I note that the presentation of the sandwiches could be slightly improved, as they were served on their side in a paper larger white box. I think serving vertically for those choosing to dine in would be a more aesthetically pleasing presentation. There was also a paper lining around the top of the sandwiches that we had to unwrap before consuming. Excited to try the breakfast burritos next, they looked delicious. read more

Egg tuck is quite unique in that they essentially tuck scrambled eggs in a sandwich or burrito. It looks messy and gross, but I attest the flavor is truly something amazing. It's certainly worth a try. The sandwich is less heavy than the burrito options. My favorite is the avocado egg sandwich. The bread is toasted to perfection- warm, moderately crispy, and slightly milky in flavor. The egg is light and fluffy and the avocado gives it extra creaminess and fullness. I also tried the egg tots. It's a perfectly cooked poached egg on top of a bed of tater tots and topped with their special sauce (tasted like spicy mayo) and chives. When you break the egg, the yolk whoozes over the tots. Mix it together and you have some creamy tasting tots. This is best shared with family or friends as eating all of it on your own is a quick way to get heartburn. Best tip: Come hungry ;) I will be back to try other sandwiches. read more

My friend and I visited close to after Egg Tuck opened at 7:30 am. You order via a kiosk in front. We both had the gochuracha royal burrito ($11.49), which had gochujang, sriracha, and tteok-galbi (Korean short rib patty). The breakfast burrito tasted delicious and had a pleasant kick to it due to the gochujang. The portion size is just right and can fill you up the whole morning. What I liked the most was how the tteok-galbi felt crispy on the edges, which made the grilled meat taste even better. My first time trying a Korean-style burrito was a success, and so far, Egg Tuck is my favorite restaurant in the Westwood Village area. As for the ambience, the restaurant feels slightly too loud for the morning. For example, the music volume was high. Also, I had some trouble inserting my card in the kiosk to pay, and a staff member helped me but in a both loud and coddling manner. I used their mobile order service to order a plantspired burrito. I added cheddar, JUST egg, and more of the plantspired meat. This was where I ran into my first point of pause: I understand why adding additional (fake) meat & egg was extra, but why was the cheddar also an extra cost? It felt stingy to me, especially given how much was actually in the final product. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The interior layout is nice. It's a very clean look. However, guests cannot just pickup their mobile orders from a station or anything. They are kept behind the bar & an employee calls them out. My order was predicted to be ready at 8:03, so I walked in at 8:01. My name was never called, and at 8:07, the only employee behind the bar, having finally caught a moment of break, saw that I'd been waiting and asked me if I had ordered anything. I gave my name, she found my order on the shelf, and handed it to me. She was lovely, to be clear, and I have to assume that my order was just ready early or something. But I saw her call other orders multiple times, which implies to me that a) it was ready *so* early that it was called repeatedly and given up on before I even entered, which was still two minutes before the listed pickup time, or b) they don't call mobile orders, and you just have to ask for them. I find either a bad system for mobile ordering, as again, they only had one employee working the front, and I didn't want to bother her, nor do I think most guests did; that's a big part of why I mobile order in the first place. Finally, the burrito was fine. It was filling, and I really liked the plantspired meat. However, the "meat" was not spread super consistently throughout the burrito, nor was there much cheese. I think fluffy eggs are very popular right now, and that's definitely what this place goes for. It's not my thing, but if you like it, you'll enjoy it. The whole thing cost me just over $18, which is on par with prices in this area, but still a fair chunk of change. Also, I know that in addition to this, they have a vegan burrito, but I wish they had more vegetarian and vegan options (perhaps a plant-based breakfast sandwich as well, in addition to the burritos), and that said options were both more clearly labeled & easier to search for on their online menu. TL,DR: expensive but not more so than the surrounding area. Food is decent, if not my favorite thing. Service is fine, as the mobile order process is annoying, but staff are wonderful, so I don't want to be too critical. I don't expect to return. read more

I ordered their ham and cheese egg sandwich and their new Orleans latte. -Ham & cheese egg sandwich: upon presentation, the eggs looked very creamy and was covered in the house mayo sauce. Biting into it, the egg and bread were super soft, fluffy, and extremely buttery. The top layer of the sandwich was mostly egg and the ham and cheese were tucked in the middle. I enjoyed this sandwich but it was super buttery and made the bread a bit too soggy. It was a very filling sandwich and definitely makes a guilty pleasure. -New Orleans latte: I was interested to try this since I've never heard of a New Orleans latte. This was made with Chicory cold brew, maple syrup and milk. I opted for almond milk and it tasted decent. I enjoy my coffee to be sweeter and this had a slight hint of sweetness from the syrup. Overall a decent spot for fluffy egg sandwiches. The prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are filling but heavy. I wish I had thought to take some pics, but man was that a big sandwich there had to be 4 eggs ok maybe only 3 but it was a lot. The eggs were scrambled medium to my delight without asking. (I HATE hard scrambled eggs) tons of cheese and at least 3 home style sized bacon strips (think of butcher counter bacon) for sure half of a avocado 4 slices of tomato and a thick home style bread. Would I go back? For sure if I was in the neighborhood. So if you there at breakfast or brunch and looking for a quick filling fix this is the place. The sandwich itself was unique I'd give it that but the sausage was super chewy and gritty and my egg was WAY undercooked---like the egg white was translucent. They did remake it for me with the egg slightly more cooked thankfully but I still had a section of it that was undercooked so I had to toss part of it. When I saw the Egg Tuck was open in Westwood Village, I was so excited that I went there the very next day! I would have gone the same day, but they were already closed. I have been dying to try their breakfast sandwiches but was too lazy to drive to Koreatown. You order on the touchscreens and wait for your name to be called. The menu is limited to the egg sandwiches and breakfast burritos, with a few sides. Prices start at $7.99 for the egg sandwich (soft scrambled eggs, chives, sriracha aioli and mayo on their housemade brioche bun) and $6.99 for the breakfast burrito (scrambled eggs, tater tots and sriracha aioli in a flour tortilla), with adds ons like cheese, avocado, bacon, ham and soy chorizo). You can even sub Just Eggs for the eggs, in case you're avoiding them. I got the Avo Egg ($9.99), which was stuffed with their soft fluffy eggs and lots of avocado, sandwiched between slightly sweet toasted brioche. So delicious! They included a couple of packets of Tapatio, which I used to add a little spicy heat. We also ordered the breakfast burrito with soy chorizo ($8.49), which is one of the cheapest breakfast burritos I've encountered on this side of town. It wasn't too big, but just right for the price. If you wish to eat there, they have a dining area with several tables or you can eat standing by the window.
