OMG... one of the BEST breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! The spicy royal west beef sandwich with Korean beef was absolutely incredible -- packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice. And the fluffy egg tots ... YESSS. Soo good I honestly have no words Everything was fresh, flavorful, and completely hit the spot!! Already wishing I could have when I get back home from vacation!
One of my favorite stops on this LA trip! Let's start with the eggs! I've never had eggs so silky and creamy. The texture was perfect. Will try to recreate!! I tried a variety of options, and starting with the Royal Burrito, No words to describe but it was amazing. Will get again! The galbi was such a great addition to the creamy eggs, and honestly, no sauce was needed every bite was perfect. also got the bacon and cheese sandwich, which paired perfectly with the soft bread and creamy eggs. The bread was toasted with a light crisp but still fluffy, The bacon added just the right amount of saltiness and the cheese brought extra flavor and savoriness to every bite. Had to try the egg tots by far the crispiest tots I've ever had! The texture paired so well with the eggs. I would order them again in a heartbeat. As for drinks, the Biscoff latte was good but I probably wouldn't get it again. The orange juice, though, was super fresh and tart which paired perfectly with the savory breakfast. Service was fast and you order on a tablet!
The good: I tried the egg and hash brown burrito, the original egg sandwich, orange juice, and a sandwich with sausage meat. The packaging was super cute and orderly with sturdy boxes for the sandwiches in addition to plastic wrap around the sandwich. The egg was incredibly fluffy and moist. I liked the burrito the best. Their eggs were the fluffiest that I've had amongst 3 other similar egg breakfast sandwich places I've had. The bad: The orange juice tasted like juice from concentrate rather than freshly squeezed pure orange juice. My husband thought the sandwiches were just ok but I think he just doesn't like super rich sandwiches. The interesting: The sausage patty had breakfast herb flavors. The pickles were very crunchy. The bread had a yellow tint to it. They sell tator tots too. Theh have multiple locations.

I was in the area and craving a breakfast burrito. I came here because of the glowing reviews from fellow Yelpers. Very rarely do I change what I'm craving but after reading the reviews, I knew I needed to get a breakfast sandwich and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Bacon & Cheese and my husband got the Royal Burrito. I really loved my order. The fluffiness of the eggs was truly magical and the house sriracha aoli was tasty. I loved the brioche bun. It truly is a perfect breakfast sandwich and it also was at a great price point. The tots were a great side- and they have a few different varieties. I would definitely recommend! Note- there is a paid parking structure in the back of the building. We were there on Sunday and it wasn't crowded. There is limited street parking and just a few tables to sit at.
Korean style egg toast makes me happy. Egg Tuck made me very happy. The eggs were moist the toast was buttery. Seating is all on the street and feels so very LA. The service was quick and my food was served promptly after ordering. The matcha I had a was a little sweet for me but I still found it pleasant. Easily the best egg toast I've ever had. Will be back for more!
Great food fresh ingredients! Cooked to order! Also great packaging for to go orders! Parking really sucks, and it might take about 10 -15 min to get your food but it's sooooooo worth it! Parking-don't get stuck in the Popeyes line. Park closer to the 7/11 side if possible. Food- 10/10 eggs are cooked to perfection. I ordered hand and cheese and added bacon and avocado. Super happy with my sandwich and everything was cooked fresh. Nothing was reheated. Worth the time it took to make so order ahead or give yourself extra minutes. I didn't try the drinks but everyone was ordering them. Excited to try more sandwiches!
The creamiest and fluffiest eggs I've ever had. These sandwiches are so rich and buttery and on the heavier side so keep that in mind. The brioche bread is incredibly pillowy and buttery and the sweetness complements the velvety creamy eggs perfectly! The Egg Tots are also a must but eat it quick/fresh because it does get soggy! I came a second time when I went back to LA to visit
My mom brought me home some Egg Tuck and WAU I am amazed ! I am a sucker for fluffy creamy eggs and was so impressed with the quality of this egg sandwich -- esp since it sat through the car ride home and wasn't as fresh as if I ate there. I re-heated and toasted it and it was still as delicious ! I'm v curious to try Egg Tucks other sandwiches so I will be back to try other options :-)
Egg Tuck keeps it 100 when it comes to breakfast sandwiches and burritos! The service was fast given how packed and busy this little joint was in a nice part of downtown. The owners were super friendly and super hospitable on the whole, which made the experience that much better. I also love how they go above and beyond to literally hand their customers their orders and thank them...I watched the owner do this literally 10+ times in the short duration that I was there. It was well worth the wait and saved me from what would have been a hangover in the afternoon! I will be back again when I visit this area of LA.
This place was pretty good! A lot of flavor for a good price. Definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a quick bite.
If I can place zero stars, I would this might be the most disgusting egg sandwich I've ever ate in my life took one bite and spit it out threw it away. I'm not sure why it taste so bad. It just taste really bad. The eggs taste sweet. It is not a good breakfast sandwich at all. There is this nasty sauce in the background when you take a bite the bread is overly greasy. Do yourself a favor do not order this place and go out of your way to avoid it. In fact. the coffee was good though.

First off, the service here is amazing. Thank you to the worker who brought out an extra table for our group of 6 so we could all sit together!! And he also brought out all of our food for us and a ton of extra sauces The sandwich was also so delicious. The brioche bread was perfect and soft. The egg super fluffy. I loved adding spicy mayo on top of the egg as it added some more flavor. My friends loved the ham & egg and avo egg tuck as well! There was lots of added ham/avocado and it was super well priced. Would definitely come again! read more
Gochuracha Royal West Spicy: 2/5 The bread was very light and fluffy. The meat was a little too spicy so it overpowered any other flavor. New Orleans Latte: 1/5 Too milky and sweet for my liking. Got an espresso shot from my different place to help balance. VEGAN JUST Burrito: 4/5 The photo of this burrito on the menu has the soy chorizo and avocado in it which is kind of miss leading because you have to pay extra for both. The texture was kind of mushy but my friend said it was the best vegan breakfast burrito he's ever had so giving it a higher rating. Overall it was an interesting place to try and it's definitely pretty to look at. Wouldn't choose to go back however. At least not for these items read more
Egg Tuck outputs a lot of high quality orders in a timely manner. Their food is immaculate: eggs soft and fluffy. The ham has that nice bounce and the cheese hits the spot. Food alone, I would rate it a 10/10. The packaging, though, causes a little trouble. They put the egg sandwich in a paper carton that keeps it up but makes it hard to eat. I like to rip it off as I eat, but some perforation could make that even better! It also leaks grease from the bottom so be careful. read more

TRASH! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Ray at this location refused to make my order CORRECTLY after they made a mistake. They took my money and refused to refund. When I asked about the policy, if there was anything written saying they would not remake an order, they said no, and they just wouldn't do it. read more

This is a popup in milk tavern Serving up breakfast sandwiches I opted for the bacon and cheese and the royal west Bacon and cheese ($9) - my favorite of the two. The housemade brioche was soft and fluffy and the eggs were perfectly soft scrambled. The eggs were so good! Royal west ($10.50) - good, but not great. This sandwich left something to be desired for me. I didn't like that the meat was a bit sweet I don't think it's as good as eggslut, but it's not bad at all Check in for a free OJ! read more
Before my visit today, I kept seeing pics on Yelp/Facebook/Instagram so I was pretty excited to finally try it out (now that they actually moved to somewhere with a parking lot). Not sure if my expectations were too high or if I was subconsciously comparing it to eggslut, but to be honest, my sandwich was not worth $9. It would have been okay if it was $5-6, but I'd say it's probably not something I'd return for. The portions are pretty small, so you won't be full after having just one. It's more of a snack, than a meal. I am usually pretty full after having eggslut, but this was not enough for lunch. The service wasn't that great either... I walked in around 1pm and the store was practically empty. Nobody greeted us so I had no idea where to order but saw they had machines set up. Once I placed my order, I had no idea where to go or what to expect so I had to walk over and ask if they were going to bring it out or if I had to pick up my order. Lower quality than eggslut, pricier than eggslut...just go to eggslut. If you're a kdrama fanatic like me, you know you've seen these egg sandwiches from hospital playlist. Of course, it's not the same brand that comes out in hospital playlist but it's def the same sandwich. I got the avocado egg sandwich and it was good! The bread is so fluffy and the egg was so soft ! But I was mindblown over their breakfast burrito omgosh. I came for the egg sandwich and fell in love with their breakfast burrito (that I forgot to take a picture of). I really like this place but parking is a little hard to find (I had to street park) and they don't have a lot of sit down tables either. But id still come again if I'm in the area read more

We finally made our way to Egg Tuck, the modernized-fusionesque Korean street-food-toast-egg-sandwich or better stated by the restaurant itself - an urban egg sandwich from Korean concepts. We had a few other foodie stops to make and just wanted one sandwich, we opted for the Gochuracha Royal West and when we were speaking to the cashier and mentioned it was our first time, he threw in a free side of egg tots! Talk about service! He was super friendly and energetic and definitely started the experience on a good note. They have seating outdoors and maybe 5 minutes later we had our food brought to the table. The egg sandwich is tucked into a pocket and has a plastic "shell" around it to keep everything in, something unique and different than just wrapping it in paper! It's a hefty sandwich that can easily be shared even without a side option. I dug into the egg tots first and they PERFECTED the tots. These are the epitome of tater tots, the crunchiest and crispiest egg tots without that unnecessary "mashed" texture inside, the whole tot had a crunch! Definitely the best way to eat tots. Overall however, they really were not that big of a deal in my opinion as the tots are just topped with siriracha, mayo, chives and two fried eggs. Everything was made well but nothing extraordinary to make me order it next time. Now for the sandwich . . . this is something different, unique, and special for LA! Of course egg slut has been the reining egg sandwich champion but Egg Tuck is right there with it, I can't say one is better than the other because both are really so different but so amazing at the same time. The thick toast is buttered and grilled so nicely, with a thin crisp outside and such a fluffy interior, and being thick it soaks up all the sauces and flavors! The "meat" is a Ghochujang Sriracha Glazed Spicy Tteok-Galbi (Galbi/Beef Short Rib Patty) and quite frankly it tastes just like an Armenian soujouk patty! Taking our first bites my dad and I looked at each other with the same thought as if "is this an Armenian or Korean sandwich!?" It was soft and tender with a big kick of spice. It was not what we expected and I think the spice overpowered the meat and sandwich to the point where we wished we had ordered the non-spicy version? I'm not sure. It was still tasty and delicious I think the surprise and comparison to our own culture's food threw us off a bit! The sandwich also has a nice fried egg, cheese, pickles, and grilled onions all of which come together for the perfect breakfast sandwich! I would definitely love to return to try the regular Royal West sandwich and even the sweet egg to try the scrambled style! A hot spot that should not be missed for any breakfast-sandwich and Korean-fusion food lover! read more

This is a review for the Sweet Egg Sandwich only. Next time I would definitely try the short rib, or something with more ingredients as this one was quite underwhelming. The brioche was soft and buttery. And so were the eggs. And the sauce. The lack of variety in texture/flavor was what disappointed me - I wish the bread were toasted more heavily, or they used a bread that had more body to it. This is definitely a hot instaworthy place to visit if you're in LA. But I wouldn't recommend the Sweet Egg sandwich. It's like getting vanilla ice cream at a fancy ice cream shop. read more
I'm not in K-town often but was in the area running errands. I like these Korean egg sandwiches and was introduced to them recently at a spot in OC. So I had to try Egg Tuck to compare. We placed our order to-go over the phone and it was ready in about 25 minutes. I got the bacon and cheese and it was delicious. The eggs are fluffy scrambled and the bacon was crispy. Although I think the bread could be a bit softer and it could had "tuck" in more. Towards the bottom it was 1/3 bread. I do appreciate each egg sandwich was wrap with a clear wrap on top so the egg won't fall out, then it is each in their own take-out box. I wanted to try the matcha latte I saw on Yelp picture but it was not available, so I settle for the New Orleans latte. I was very disappointed in this drink, it was just very water down brown water. Argh, where was the maple syrup mentioned on the menu? Overall a tasty 3.5 stars sandwich, but due to the awful drink and there is no parking in this area it will be very hard for me to come back. Even though I'm in SGV, I would prefer the egg sandwich location I like in OC. read more
This spot was first on our list for our mini food tour. We ended up parking on one of the meters up front. This place is located inside Milk Tavern. There were plenty of tables and seats. We ended up ordering two sandwiches for the three of us. We went with the Avo Egg and the Royal West Sandwiches. Avo egg, in my opinion, was great. It's simple but super yummy. The meat on the Royal West tasted good. This restaurant reminds me of Egg Slut without the wait. It wasn't busy when we arrived but we were there close to closing time. Great place to get a breakfast sandwich if you're cravings for some good cooking eggs. read more
Popped into The Line Hotel across the street and was hungry for breakfast and this place sounded perfect. Made a to-go order through Grubhub (through Yelp) and picked it up 15 minutes later. Flavors are so yummy! Cheese, bread, meat, and eggs are so flavorful and goey bread is so perfectly spongy and buttery. Taster tots and fries were an extra plus with the sriracha aioli, delicious! read more

I see no flaws here. I never got the chance to visit Egg Tuck when they were a pop-up at Milk Tavern. But I'd say this new location suits them well. There's also more convenient parking for us customers. I've been to Eggslut before so I had an idea of what Egg Tuck's sandwiches would taste like. Although, ET's menu is a tad bit different, ie. the short rib and spiciness. (I would love to see more spicier options available.) Along with my family, I got the avocado egg sandwich with a side of tater tots. The sandwiches will fill you up on their own, I recommend splitting tots or fries between two people. The taste of these fluffy eggs are out of this world. The egg sauce and avocado add so much flavor. And the brioche buns soak up everything and make the whole experience much more enjoyable. Even the tater tots are so crispy and salty, and lighter than your average school lunch ones. Comparisons aside, Egg Tuck is a great stand-alone restaurant that needs more attention. The prices are a little steep but these sandwiches are well worth it. Treat your self! read more

OH WOW. EGG TUCK IS AMAZING! I was looking for a place to eat after getting my passport renewal and this was just a couple of blocks away. I have not heard of this place and I was even hesitant to try an egg sandwich. "Oh, it might be expensive. It's probably better to make your egg sandwich at home." BUT I AM GLAD THAT I WENT AND TOOK THE LEAP. Covid-19 Precautions: - arrows/guides on the floor for social distancing - mask is a must | all the staff are wearing mask and gloves - sanitizer in the counter - outdoor seating with good distance Ordering: - we ordered using the monitors by the counter (so techy! haha) - they were busy but everyone is adhering to the rules so i felt safe - staff were so accommodating and helpful Food: - Bacon and Egg Cheese Sandwich Amazing! I highly recommend this one. It's so tasty. The scrambled egg was so savory and creamy. *drooling while typing this lol* - Royal West Any garlic lovers out there? This one is for you. Delicious egg sandwich! I've never had eggs this way so I wasn't sure what to expect. I walked in here on an early morning without any real expectations but I was blown away! The first thing that impressed me was the vibe. They were bumping Kendrick Lamar's LOVE which is an automatic winner in my book. Although we ordered on the iPad, the staff there were still present and friendly to help us if we had any questions. After ordering the Avocado Egg sandwich, we waited outside for it to be ready, which surprisingly didn't take that long. The sandwich itself was bomb!! It was warm, toasty, fluffy and full of flavor. I really never though egg sandwiches could be this good but Egg Tuck has proved me wrong. I wish I lived in LA so I could get this more often! read more

So I checked out this place for lunch and just did a to-go order. You order on a screen, but the servers were still very attentive, as I was able to make a change to my order verbally. It wasn't crowded at a and the place turns into a different spot at night. So during the day it looks like a deserted bar. I had a sandwich and just found it to be okay. The eggs are scrambled medium and literally tucked into the bread - that's the part I did not enjoy. It felt like i had to re-situate the sandwich to make the proportions even enough to eat. I might give it one more shot when I am back in the area, but I think this place is a little overhyped read more
A really small but popular spot in Ktown! The main reason why I came is to test how similar it is to the original version Egg Drop in Korea. I got the ham & cheese sandwich, while my cousin and her son got the Avocado (with bacon + cheese added on) and the bacon & cheese sandwich. It took quite a bit for the food to come out, but given the amount of ppl ordering/waiting (in addition to online orders and delivery apps) it wasn't too terrible. I think it took about 15-20 minutes, so if you're in a rush either order ahead or come at non-peak hours! The sandwich size was big compared to Egg Drop. The bread was a lot more dense than the typical milk bread that koreans use, so I was super full after finishing the sandwich. The egg was delicious--soft and seasoned really well. The ham was ham, nothing to complain or rave about. The sauces were not the same as Egg Drop- one of them was more of a spicy mayo which I liked but definitely wasn't expecting. They also use cheddar cheese instead of american cheese, but it wasn't bad. It was a solid sandwich regardless! I definitely prefer Egg Drop, but this one is a close replacement in the states. read more
First time coming here and let me tell you, if you want some delicious breakfast, you have to come here. The parking situation does suck, I got lucky and found street parking right at front. I don't know if they have a parking structure. I ordered ham, cheese and egg sandwich with some tatter tots. The sandwich was delicious. I wonder if the bread is freshly baked every day, because their bread was super fluffy (so good). One other thing, the way they pack their sandwiches, is very unique and a very nice touch (please see picture). I wonder is that's why the food traveled so well. The tatters; I wish I would of asked for well done, but still good, just a little soggy by the tile I got home. With the pandemic, you obviously can't eat there so I like to add on my review how well the food travels. I drove 30 minutes before eating and the food was still delicious. one other thing, I like to rate my places from 1 to 10. 1 through 3 - will never comeback 4 through 5.8 - will come back if someone I'm with wants to try the spot 5.9 though 7.0 -will come back 7.1 through 9.9 will make an effort to come back and recommend 10 the best place! (Haven't had a 10 because there is always a better place out there. I ordered ahead. Got lucky with street parking however they have parking in the back for a fee or you can find meter parking on mariposa street. It was only 9am and it was packed. Girl working the front was helpful. Didn't wait long. NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS and NO DINE IN. Just a few tables outside. The food itself was good however missing a hot sauce. Would I eat here again? Would not. Nothing that outstanding about it. But worth a try read more

Um all I can say is- worth. the. hype. Haha why was egg tuck so flipping good?! we had egg tuck doordashed during a quick staycation at a hotel and omgggg it was to die for!! got the classic tuck - thick brioche perfectly toasted, the scrambled eggs are so melty and savory and I rly am not a big eggs or scrambled eggs type of person!! The aioli adds a little something too. Compared to the og egg slut, we were surprised we almost liked egg tuck better?? The toast made it easier to eat and hold, and felt a tad less greasy in our opinion. The packaging was also so neat and cute so obv points for that. We were sad we only got one to share haha The vegan burrito was actually amazing tooo!! Shoulda tried it with soyrizo and avo but just the plain w tapatio was fire. I've always been saying that doing a classic egg cheese hashbrowns burrito veganized wouldn't be so hard and idk why other places haven't caught on. Kudos. I have been meaning to try this place especially because I only live 2 blocks away from it! They're only open Monday-Friday so I had to go on my day off to catch them. Parking is never easy but if you know how to get around Ktown you should be fine. We went around 10:30am so we were lucky to find a meter. This flag ship is located inside of Milk Tavern so all you have to do is approach the counter. The menu is very simple as they only have 5 sandwiches that all sound great! I chose the bacon and cheese and my boyfriend had the avo egg. We both really loved our choices but wish they would spread out some of the ingredients more. For example rather than just having the sriracha mayo drizzled on top, I think that it would make the sandwich 10 times better if they included it throughout the sandwich. My boyfriend thought the same about his avocado since he just had some on the top rather than spread throughout the sandwich. The wait time was a little long for that hour. There weren't too many patrons inside yet it seemed to take a while to get 2 sandwiches out. They apologized for the wait and a server did check up on us prior to food arrival. All together I enjoyed the sandwich but would ask for minor changes next time I go back as I'd for sure return. Really hope they can start serving on weekends. People are hungover and I think they would truly benefit with those sales. read more

There's a parking structure behind building, there is a fee to park there, as well as street parking meters all around
Is there dine in yet and if so do I need a reservation for one person?? Alright I don't need anymore answers thanks!
There are outdoor tables, but limited. If you go or order between 9-11, don't be surprised if there is a wait, especially on the weekends.
Do they sell mimosas here?
They sure do, as early as 7 am. I'm not sure how long they'll be offering it but they have it.
