2 Bulgogi burger, 1 Buldak burger, tater tos, Gimmari,

It's a burger spot, so I expected a little disorder, but believe me when I say the place was impressively sleek and clean. Customer service was great as well, and the staff helped us navigate their monthly promotion without making it feel rushed. When the food came out, I was honestly impressed by how perfect everything looked. Even better, the taste matched the presentation. The bulgogi and buldak burgers were both excellent, and the sides held their own too. By the time we left, we all agreed we still felt light on our feet, which is not the usual outcome after a cheat meal. Overall, a great experience, and I'm wishing this business continued success.

My coworker has been telling me I have to try Unninae's burgers and wow have I been missing out? My boyfriend and I got the shrimp and bulgogi burger and really enjoyed it. The patties seemed like they were made in house and everything was so fresh. They didn't have fries, but the gimmari and seasoned chips hit the spot. The ggulteok was also surprisingly good- very soft and chewy. It's definitely an underrated burger spot. Good vibes and great service too, the guy was very nice.

I wanted to love this place given the hype I've seen over K-burgers but unfortunately expectations were not met. First, the inconvenience of eating. This is an extremely large burger that is messy to eat and has to be eaten with hands. The bowl makes it difficult to put down and pick back up. There is no restroom to wash hands or wet wipes offered. I'm a believer that a burger needs to be able to fit in your mouth to get every ingredient in one bite, but this was difficult to eat without everything falling apart. There also isn't a water or soda fountain. The bulsae was enjoyable at first bite but eventually the shrimp got soggy and taste profile isn't too different from a regular fast food burger. The sweet heat chicken also got soggy halfway through eating and needed more of a kick -- it wasn't spicy and wish there was something similar to a pickle in it. Total for two burgers and one soda can was $40. Not sure what others mean about good price/value because $11-$15 for a burger is on the pricier end when consistently good burgers like In-N-Out deliver at $4. Someone also mentioned there aren't fries here and it is disappointing to not have fries to go with a burger, not to mention there isn't a grill to cook the burgers. Service also felt passive aggressive and not very friendly, excited or helpful for a QSR that just opened.

Very cool vibe and concept here. Food is definitely worth it. Loved the shrimp burger and kimchi slaw, which were my favorite combo oddly lol. My gf had the bulgogi burger and she loved it too. Not a lot of space to sit down so it's more of a to go place, but they have a few tables if you want to dine in, and the decor is fun.

For those who like or want to try Lotteria burger but don't want to go to OC and wait in line the new Unninae is a good alternative. Run by a very nice husband and wife team in Ktown right next to BofA. Parking in the area is always tough; luckily there is a parking lot in the back. The parking rates are insanely expensive but no worries bc they validate and it costs only $1.99. (Technically it's only $1 but the city uses a service which tags on an extra 99¢) The burgers are quite tasty. We liked both the bulgogi and shrimp burgers. Both served in a fluffy brioche bun with ample lettuce and a thick slice of raw onion. The combo is a good deal if you feel like trying one of sides and get a drink. While the burgers are great the absolute musts are the bingsu. Most people probably wouldn't associate tomato and corn with desserts; but, they are both amazing. Another unique thing was they offered surgical gloves with the burgers so we wouldn't get our hands dirty. That was a first for me in the US. My girlfriend is Korean and a super picky eater. Even she gave 2 thumbs up. Highly recommend.

Came by Unninae the other night when looking for some quick and unique take out in Koreatown. The shop is very well-kept and the atmosphere has fun neon lights with music videos playing on the wall ~ it's giving party vibes. The bear logo is cute too! We tried the shrimp and buldak burger. The ingredients tasted fresh and had a nice amount of different sensations (crispy crumb coating, cool crunch from the onion + lettuce, creamy + slightly sweet sauce on the shrimp and rich + spicy sauce on the chicken) Wonderful lil spot to grab burgers with a twist at a decent price point. The staff were quick and upbeat and she packed us wet hand wipes as well as a dalgona lollipop. I enjoyed the food / experience here and I'm sure you will too!

We went for dinner the other night. There is a huge parking lot so you shouldn't have a problem parking at all. The restaurant is simple and clean. We had two different burgers. First, we had the pulse. You get a whole shrimp patty and a grilled beef patty. The shrimp patty is the best one I have ever had. Their beef patty reminds me of Salisbury steak. It is absolutely delicious. Second, we got the kimchi bulgolgi burger. Lots of kimchi and that delicious grilled beef party We also got a shrimp and crab salad. It was a good size salad with lots of shrimp and crab. So good and refreshing. We got gimmari as one of our sides. I have never had this before and is easily one of new favorites. Crispy seaweed with glass noodles was just so addicting. For our other side we got the ggultteok, another item I have never had before. Think of it as mochi with a honey glaze. You must get some banana milk and pour it on top and then eat it like cereal. If they didn't have bingsu, Korean shave ice, then this would be a great dessert. We got all three of their bingsu. The korean choco crunch was good but not my favorite. My second favorite was the sweet corn. I loved the cornflakes and the charred corn on top. But my favorite was the tomato bingsu. Yes, tomato shave ice. The tomato and the vanilla of the shave ice made it almost watermelon like. So amazing and I couldn't stop eating it. Friendly service and incredible food will make this your Korean burger spot!

If you're looking for parking, I do recommend the spot behind the shopping center. If you want to save money on parking, I would do a bit of research to try to find some free parking. This place is located right by the Wells Fargo, it's not hard to find at all. When you walk in, the place is actually simple, but still really cute. This month, when you order with them, you'll get a chance to win some fun goodies, from a charm keychain, to a $100 gift card! The service was fantastic, they made some recommendations and they made sure everything was to our liking. I ordered the Bulsae, that shrimp patty was made to perfection. The chicken breast patty was cooked to perfection. There was a perfect savory bite, there is the slightest bit of sweetness. But overall a great burger. My friend got the Kimchi Bulgogi, this had the perfect savory bite with that kimchi giving a little bite. Then the bulgogi sauce gave that perfect bit of sweetness. It was a great burger. The buns on the burger was great, it was super soft and the perfect texture, to me at least. And it had a great complementary flavor to it. The Gimmari was that surprising thing that you didn't know you wanted. It was a nice little crisp to snap texture, and the flavor was great. It was one of those snacks I would love to be able to just sit back after work with it. The Ggultteok was a delicious sweet snack, but add some banana milk to it, it made it the ultimate sweet snack! Try it out if you like banana milk and rice cakes! They allowed us to try the bingsu! It's not officially on the menu yet, but boy that's a way to finish off the meal. Chocolate Crisp Bingsu: This is perfect for the crunch candy bar lovers, they add some strawberry in it. The shaved ice itself was fluffy and soft. It has that sweetness to it and some of that chocolate. Sweet Corn Bingsu: Okay, I don't know how it works, but it does. The sweet corn with some condensed milk was just a bit of savory, but that lovely amount of sweet. It was almost like having, frosted flakes cereal. Last we got to try the Tomato Bingsu: Sounds weird, right? Tomato shaved ice as a dessert? Well, idk how it works, but it worked, okay? Listen, what is magic???? Like, how did that take the flavors of a tomato, but make it taste similarly to a watermelon???? Like, idk, it was magic, it's amazing, 10 out of 10 would get it again. Now I have had Lotteria, but I will say I do like the quality of this place a whole lot better. So if you make your way to DTLA, head on out and try this spot!

Unninae K-Burger is a highly rated, Korean style burger spot located in Los Angeles, California. The word "unninae" means sister's house. They serve Korean style burger like bulgogi sauce burger. Their sauces are house made. They are also known for the tomato bingsu. This is a must try items cause you can't find it else where. Their grand opening is from January 23 to January 25. Stop by and enjoy free Korean rice cake with any purchase. To celebrate the New Year, they offer free tickets to win prizes. Would you try their creative Korean burger?

Sadly this place will get my very first 1 star review on Yelp. I love supporting local businesses and hyping them up but the the food was just SO BAD. We tried the shrimp burger and deluxe burger. We didn't get the combo because they do not offer fries with the combo. Yes, this place is a burger shop that does not sell fries.. which leads me to assume that they do not want to invest in some deep fryers. Here's the review of the food: 1. The burgers were cold 2. Buns were sticky 3. Shrimp patties were laughably thin and didn't have any textures or shrimp taste and questionably chewy, like it was just microwaved 4. Deluxe burger though called deluxe, didn't even come with a slice of cheese. The patty also thin. 5. And the burger costs about $14 each. Not a single person in my group had a remotely positive thing to say about the food we consumed. We concluded that the burgers tasted like a bunch of grocery store bought frozen things put together in a dorm kitchen that does not allow open fire. Seeing that all the other reviews on here are 5 stars makes me wonder if we did really go on a day where their supplier messed up so they had to run to a nearby grocery store to get the ingredients and the only kitchen gadgets functioning were microwaves?? Anyway, I'd just recommend everyone go to the fast food chain Lotteria for a real Korean burger.

Stopped by Unninae K Burger in Koreatown and wow this place hit! Tried the bulgogi burger (savory, juicy, perfectly seasoned) and the shrimp burger (crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying). Every bite hits with that Korean-meets-American balance that just works. And don't sleep on dessert. The tomato-flavored ice cream was incredible. Sweet, refreshing, and totally unique. If you're into bold flavors and creative comfort food, this spot is a must!

Having eaten Korean food all my life, I'm not as impressed with new K-food inventions as maybe I should be (e.g. remembering how much I detested a bulgogi burger...bulgogi (especially with the gristle) goes great with white rice, not white bread). But the shrimp patty/beef patty combination (bulsae) burger blew me away: messy as hell but really, really good for someone who loves shrimp. My wife and I were in Central Plaza in LA's Koreatown, and while I was waiting for her appointment to end, decided to lookup restaurants in the area. Unninae, meaning older sister's (coming from a younger sister) home [언니네] popped up as located in the same Plaza. I had had a good burger from Amboy the previous night, so wanted to check this place out and (maybe) compare. It is a fast food set-up, with the food being ordered and paid for first. We ordered two stand-alone burgers for ourselves, and splurged on a bingsu. For the grand opening, we got to spin a wheel for free things...ended up getting a Sikhye, which I enjoyed. You pick up your tray when your name is called (though the dessert was brought out to us). Looks like it is bussed for you, so a tip is probably deserved. The food is prepared fresh so it took a bit of time. While we waited, the friendly cashier asked if we wanted the bingsu first. We demurred, asking for it at the end, which was the right thing to do (as we later found out). Cheese ($8.99) - simple burger coming with Ketchup/Mustard, korean pickles, and a cheese sauce. My wife's go-to is a plain cheeseburger so this hit the spot for her. Bulsae ($15.99) - 'whole shrimp patty, grilled beef patty, fresh lettuce, onion, mayo, tartar'. Expensive, but well worth it. It comes with plastic, disposable one-size fits-all gloves and it's definitely worth wearing. You squeeze down on the burger as much as you can, and then take a bite...AND I do believe I got all ingredients in my first bite (before everything started to fall apart). Then I started to use both hands to shovel the food in my trap as fast as possible...don't know why I wanted to eat it so fast since I was the only one eating it...can't remember the last time I did this. Definitely need to eat this with people you are very comfortable with. In terms of taste, the combo definitely worked for me. The crisp whole iceberg lettuce pieces were a perfect accompaniment here, and the shrimp patty actually had little whole salad shrimp throughout...and adding the mix of sauces really works. Bingsu ($8.50 Korean Choco Crunch Bar): clear winner to finish the meal. My wife and I shared this, and the gentleman responsible to make it, only started after he noticed we were finishing our burgers. The frozen milk is shaved to form a base, and then strawberry sauce topped with various chocolate crunchies are added. He spent a lot of time making this, and I tried not to stare while he was doing it. The result was a thing of beauty AND as good a bingsu as I've had anywhere. I think I must have thanked him at least three times, and it seemed to please him. I hope he can continue such quality, even during busier times.

I randomly came across this spot while looking for somewhere to eat, and I'm so glad I did. Service was fast and the place is super clean. I ordered the bulgogi burger and it 1000% did not disappoint. It was juicy, the bun was super soft, and everything just worked together perfectly. The onions added such a great crunch, and the lettuce was the perfect amount. I also got the kimchi coleslaw, which was delicious and paired really well with the burger. Maybe I'm a little biased because I love burgers, but as a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur, this place is a 10/10 for me. Finding a spot that does burgers this well with a Korean twist? Yeah, I'll definitely be back. I already have my eye on the buldak burger and the shrimp burger.

On our latest visit we took the Metro, exited at Wilshire/Normandie Station, and walked 8 minutes over. The restaurant seems to have updated their décor to a more modern and new look since my last visit. Also they have introduced a lot of new menu items, so it felt like an appropriate time to update my review and renew my support for the business. On prior visits I have tried both the Clam Kalguksu ($22.99) and the Chicken Kalguksu ($22.99). Both are delicious depending on what protein you are craving. The broth is incredible soothing and great for a cold day or just anytime you need comfort food. The noodles are chewy and pillowy soft, it just melts in your mouth. When we arrived on our latest visit it was as busy and popular as I remembered. We were lucky that they were able to seat us right away. This latest visit my boyfriend and I tried new items from their menu. My boyfriend had the Tokmanuguk ($20.99) which has rice cakes, dumplings, beef, egg, and carrot in their anchovy broth. I had the Chicken Jook ($23.99) which is the Korean version of a chicken porridge that comes with half a small chicken, green onions, garlic, toasted sesame seeds, squash, onions and topped off with a smidge of sesame oil. Our meals came with a little palette cleansing introduction of barley rice. Just a few bites, but it sets up your tastebuds for the meal. They also had some side dishes for the table. The food took a while to come out, but understandable for how busy they are. This food is made with love and your patience will be rewarded. When it came, it was SO DELICIOUS! I tried a bit of my boyfriend's food and it was so comforting. Perfect for those who like the chewiness of the Korean rice cakes or dumplings. I just love my chicken porridge a little more cause I'm obsessed with porridge whenever I can get it. I love how much vegetables Koreans are able to hide in their porridge while making the veggies so tiny, you won't even notice it. So healthy, delicious, and soothing. It was like a hug for my soul. Also, the portion was huge and both my boyfriend and I had a portion togo that was the size of another meal. You can't go wrong with their food here. I definitely want to make an effort to come back more often. Until next time!

Me and friend started with drinks at the bar - I got the hwachae milk punch, a pretty pink sip! My friend got the espresso martini, their take made with cold brew soju, Korean coffee mix, and makgeolli. Both were fun, well-balanced ways to kick off the night. Their honey butter chips were pretty delectable - fresh-cut potato, fried until crunchy and airy, then drizzled with a honey butter glaze that channels those nostalgic honey butter chip snacks. The sauce was good but can definitely be a sweetness overload, so if you don't have a sweet tooth, I would avoid ordering. Got the pine nut cold noodles, which was refreshing on a summer day - white noodles in a chilled soy milk broth with pine nut. The pine flavor was pretty subtle, so if you're into that, definitely get this, but for me it was just okay. The pork jowl was delicious though - comes with chili crisp and garlic rice, and we ended up taking some home because we couldn't finish it all! Service was great - we sat at the bar and got to watch the bartender work and chat. Parking can be hit or miss; you can either park in the several garage structures around ktown or the small paid lot in the Danbi plaza, but we came on a Thursday night and it was still pretty busy. Overall, a 9/10 meal with good vibes, cute drinks, and delicious food. Already dreaming about trying the galbi next time I'm here!

The restaurant was recommended on the Michelin guide. We made reservations online ahead of time. There is lot parking for $20 as well as street parking. HONEY BUTTER CHIPS ($8) - these were crispy, sweet, and salty. They're inspired by the ones in the bags but these were way better. The honey butter sauce on top was addicting. 4.5/5 SCALLOP PANCAKE ($25) - this was crispy, flavorful, and there were lots of scallops. I also liked the strawberry mentaiko dipping sauce. 5/5 BEEF TARTARE ($36) - this was silky from the bone marrow and the egg yolk. They came with the same chips as the honey butter chips to scoop. 4.5/5 UNI BIBIMBAP ($60) - I loved the sweet shrimp and the uni was silky. Note that this is sold at market price; it was definitely a smaller portion of food and you're mostly paying for the uni. 4/5 ZABUTON STEAK ($85) - the steak was tender and perfectly cooked. It tasted like it was in some sweet Korean marinade and was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time, even better than steak houses. Also, don't forget the delicious garlic rice cooked in beef tallow. This was absolutely amazing! 5/5 For cocktails both the luv u so matcha ($18) and hwachae milk punch ($16) were delicious and easy to drink. Note that they're soju-based and none of their cocktails contain hard liquor. Everything was so flavorful and we loved our meal. It's definitely a pricey one but we both thought it was worth it. This is a place I can see myself coming back to eat again.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.

Even when we ordered the food, the server said "that's it?" as if she was offended that we didn't order more food (lower sales?) I'm not sure if we misunderstood her attitude but that's kind of how it felt like. The quality and size went down and it was just... not good. This used to be my #1 spot for cold noodles but our other fav place was closed today so we decided to come here. As you can see, the size of the cold noodles became smaller. Everything was packed in this small bowl which made it harder to eat. I think they changed the noodles they use because it wasn't doing anything texture wise. It used to be chewy and had a good buckwheat flavor. The broth tasted.. like water with a splash of bone broth. The quality of galbi was also a disappointing as I feel like it's became less and the meat was burnt with more fat/chewy bits. The leek pancake was ok but again, comparing it to my picture from January, it was bigger in size and more dough-y. Service was decent previously but it felt a bit cold today. Again, super bummed because we still love this place but I probably won't be ordering their combo again. You can see in my pictures how often we used to order the cold noodles from here and you can compare the quality.
