Very solid egg sandwich place. The egg was nice and runny and the bun didn't dry out your mouth. The inside was small but there's a good amount of seating inside and outside. Arugula salad was a good size as well! You order at the front and will get a buzzer for when your order is ready. Everything else is self serve (condiments, water, utensils, etc) which I find very convenient. Overall would definitely come for something not too heavy and quick. read more

Their beer battered potatoes are phenomenal. I would go back just for that. But this is a review of the way their advertise their food and how they actually present it. First off, TOO MUCH unnecessary plastic is being used. They serve sandwiches and burritos wrapped up but tell me why it is also put into a plastic container? Think those black rectangles used for meal preps. Such a waste. And it did nothing for its presentation. Second, the menu is a TV screen and the only other option is a QR code on the counter. The TV menu KEPT CHANGING while we were trying to figure out what to order. Every time I finally got my eyes locked on what the food was it cycled through all these videos of whatever sandwich they were trying to advertise. And the menu is BUSY. A plethora of items to choose from if you could even catch a glimpse of it before another video started in that same corner. I get the idea of wanting to show off the goods but this is not the way to go about it. Have another screen to showcase those videos away from the menu displayed above the register. Another thing I would like to add is the way they showed how thick and full their chicken toastie was but in reality... it is barely 1/2 of that. Yes. That was my order. The chicken toastie. And guess what else... it wasn't even toasted. Nor was the sauce even spread out inside. It was a blob of sauce in the center of the sandwich. My husband also complained how different the burritos were. We ordered 2 chili con carne burritos. One was small and thick, the other looked quite large. I didn't get to take a picture because of course both were already torn right into by hungry mouths. The food also took A LONG time to be prepared. A lot of people in the back but food was coming out so slow. It was not busy and well after we ordered did another party enter. Inconsistent. Slow. Potatoes are good. But not worth it overall. The atmosphere here is as lively as ever. The visual design is trendy, clean, and would fit in any busy location whether it'd be New York or Las Vegas. It's easy to fall in love with this place visually and almost every corner is worthy of pictures. The music selection is good and whether you are here for a short time or meeting people it works for all occasions. The menu also makes everything look delicious. From the burgers to the burritos to the side dishes one look at the menu and you can imagine the fine culinary delights that might come out. However, from here on out it becomes clear this is all a ruse. The biggest complaint I had from my last experience still stands: all the food came out lukewarm. I wish I could say it's because the kitchen staff was short, but I looked at their staff and saw 6 people behind the counter/in the kitchen. With so many people why did all the food come out like it was sitting on a counter for 20 minutes? For some food you might be able to get away with this food temperature, but when you order food that contains gravy, sauces, or poached eggs they become pudding once warm and who wants to eat that? I saw a lot of online orders and picks up coming in and out of the restaurant. Perhaps the real way to eat this food is to heat it up when you get home, but if that's the case this won't work when eating in house. The flavor of the food this time was okay. From what I did eat I enjoyed it. The chicken for the country friend chicken sandwich this time was juicy and had flavor. Everything I said about it before was great although that cold country gravy it came with was not good. Luckily, it came on the side. Eggbred has so much potential to be an amazing restaurant. The menu and design are there, but it's all wasted because of the execution. I don't know if I will try this place again after this second experience. The truffle sauce itself was delicious, but for an extra $2-3, the sauce cup was surprisingly small.. Think half a Costco sample rather than a proper sauce cup -- maybe even less. I wouldn't have minded paying extra if it came with just a little more to enjoy. The Chicken Chop Toastie was decent, just not quite what I expected. It leaned heavily on the sauce -- which some people might love -- but for me, it overpowered the other flavors. The chicken was tender, but it got a bit lost under all that sauciness. The portion, though, was generous and definitely filling, so no complaints there. In hindsight, I should've stuck with my tried-and-true Ben Franklin -- it's balanced, flavorful, and always hits the spot. Sometimes your favorite is your favorite for a reason. On the bright side, the restaurant has a great vibe -- fun retro décor, '80s music playing in the background, and super friendly staff. Even though this particular sandwich wasn't a perfect match for me, I still had a great experience overall. Make sure to order ahead or expect to wait for 20 mins+ on a weekend lunch time. A larger chunk of the restaurant's cost goes towards the presentation of the food, rather than the food. There's a QR Menu at the entrance door if you want to scan the menu before you order anything. The place itself is a medium-small eatery with a fast food vibe. There is music playing at a semi-loud volume, but not so loud where you have to shout to be heard. Ryann, the order taker at the time of my visit, was friendly, and patient. From order placement to order pickup took about 10 minutes or so. I ordered the Truffle Crunch Burger, Cheddar Chive Biscuit & Gravy, and a bottled water. My burger was juicy, the bun crispy, the sauce creamy, and blended nicely with the cheese! So, does that necessarily mean I recommend it? You're daggum right I recommend it! If you're not looking for something that'll stuff you, it'll hit the spot. Now, I'm a big fan of biscuits & gravy, but, the menu description of their Cheddar Chive Biscuit & Gravy implies you're only getting a single biscuit. However, if you look at the picture on their online menu, you are, in fact, getting 2 biscuits. The CCB&G has a certain initial, not a kick, but, a tap on the shoulder, courtesy of the dusting of paprika on the biscuits, which were, somewhere between fluffy, and crumbly, yet, melt-in-your-mouth delicious! EggBred has a few locations; we visited the one in La Habra. The drive wasn't bad--typical traffic heading south. The area seems great, with plenty of other restaurants we'd love to check out in the future. Environment: It's a cozy spot with outdoor seating. I really liked the décor, and the digital menu screens are easy to read when you're at the register. There are two all-gender restrooms, with sinks located in the main hallway rather than inside the stalls. Not a big deal, but the thought of touching a handle that's been touched by countless unwashed hands did cross my mind. Then again, you wash your hands right after... mind over matter, maybe? Food: We ordered three items: My wife got the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich, requesting a soft scramble instead of the standard medium. I went with the Smothered Yard Pimp Loaded Burrito. We also shared the Breakfast Poutine. Bacon, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich - My wife was disappointed. The egg wasn't soft scrambled, or even medium--it was closer to hard scrambled. And I know hard scramble because when I cook eggs, I fry the living crap out of them. No joke. Smothered Yard Pimp Loaded Burrito - It was a solid burrito, but it was missing the country gravy. That was a letdown. I know the gravy would've taken it to the next level. I'm a hangry dude, so yeah, I noticed. Breakfast Poutine - FINALLY, something that hit the mark--and then some! It had popcorn chicken, country sausage gravy, a soft poached egg, and that roasted pepper chimichurri tied it all together beautifully. I'd order that again in a heartbeat. Conclusion: If the food had been made to our requests and matched the menu descriptions, it could've been a heavenly breakfast followed by a well-earned nap. Instead, we left feeling a bit of regret. We absolutely LOVE the food. Their breakfast sandwiches are so delicious. The breakfast burritos the potatoes with chorizo on them. Everything is so good. The only complaint I have is when you're a walk-in customer it seems that the staff has been told to put priority on online orders and phone orders so you're a walk-in customer and you're just standing there waiting forever for your order to get taken and then once your order is taken, you wait forever to get your food not because they're packed inside. It's just because they're putting priority on phone orders and online orders. I think walk-in customers customers who are actually physically there in front of your face willing to pay should always be priority and then you could take online orders and then you could take phone orders, but walk-in customer should always be first but at this place, unfortunately it's not that way. read more

I visited EggBred on Saturday, 1/27/24, around noon for brunch. I decided to order the Chili Con Carne burrito, which came with ribeye asada, scratch chorizo chili, soft scrambled eggs, beer-battered potatoes, cheddar jack, and a side of salsa verde. The burrito was extremely flavorful, tasty, and filling. It paired well with the salsa verde sauce and Cholula sauce. I was full and satisfied after consuming the burrito. I also checked in on Yelp and received a free drink of my choice. I opted for the San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa and it was refreshingly good. The inside of the restaurant was beyond nice. I loved the different quotes all around the establishment. The service met expectations, as the staff members were welcoming and friendly. I recommend coming here for fantastic breakfast food.
