My friends and I came here for brunch and first I want to point out that the vibes are super cute and there is so much great natural lighting that gets into the cafe it's very nice. It's definitely a brunch cafe and less of a study cafe so keep that in mind. The best thing about this place are the reasonable prices. I don't think I saw a single dish that was more than 15 dollars most are about 12-15. The portions for the food are also pretty good and everything tasted delicious. The drinks are also definitely worth highlighting here because a lot of them are Asian inspired (I believe the cafe is Asian owned small business) there are lots of yummy flavors for coffees and teas. I got the caramel brûlée latte and my friends got the rose latte with oat milk. I thought my drink was a bit too sweet, but my friends drinks were really good! Overall great place to have brunch with friends. Definitely will return read more

The name of this place says it all. This place is truly EGGCELENT. Came here with my friends on a sunday to get a quick bite and we opted for take out. It's a good thing we did bc the line was sooo long to be seated which, to me, is always a good sign. I got the sunrise sammies which was heaven set. The bacon was soo thick and juicy and packed with flavor. The eggs were super fluffy and cooked to perfection. Anything on a brioche bun makes everything better. This place is honestly worth however long of a wait. Can't wait to return! read more

I ordered a cast iron skillet dish that was served in a plastic look-like cast iron replica. As someone who tries hard to avoid food cooked with teflon I can assure you that my breakfast was cooked on teflon pans. I would have gone somewhere else if I knew they'd lie to me about their "cast iron" skillets. read more

Decided to checkout this breakfast/brunch spot on a Sunday, early afternoon. Cute cafe located in Olde City neighborhood. Seating time was okay, but the host(ess) was nowhere to be found upon entry. The service was fairly poor. The waiting staff were not very attentive. Utensils, salt pepper and ketchup available at table; however, I was skeptical about using these items without a wipe down. I couldn't use the salt shaker either because the salt shaker had ketchup in the opening (gross!). We ordered the Humpty Dumpty Sammie, the Angry Pig Omelet and the Eggzilla Omelet. The food was delicious! I personally had the sammie and wish it was served on a slightly bigger plate, it got messy, but it was very delicious sammie! The omelets were delicious and came with well-seasoned potatoes! The milk tea was decent, not overly sweet. I would recommend this place for off-peak hours - and hope to give this place another try during off-peak hours. read more

Don't reach for the salt or pepper here. Though a small restaurant, the food is packed with plenty of flavor and finesse. This is definitely one of the best brunch places that I have visited so far in PHL. I got the veggie delight, and the peppers and other vegetables in this meal did not disappoint... I'm not sure what seasoning they used, but this is packed with flavor and isn't too heavy. The classic sunrise sandwich was also a steal. SMALL and very popular, even mid morning during the week. If you can get in, GO! If they get a bigger space, support them! The staff are incredible and run a million miles a minute to keep everyone happy and well fed. They make their own ketchup, and though it's not my favorite, I think that's cool. If it's not your favorite condiment, get it on the side. They were so accommodating of dietary restrictions and took the time to make sure we all got what we needed, even through they were wildly packed! read more

Come here all the time hungover in the weekend. Love it....sandwiches are toasty and full. Brioche is well.....better than the other breads! Girlfriend's goto is the green goddess (to boost her inner goddess) I tried the eggceptional, and honestly won't go back to the others. This restaurant serves majority breakfast foods that feature eggs with several other options like burgers. I had the Iron hash and split the French Toast with my partner. The place is quite small and the service was what you would expect of a small to the point restaurant. Finally got to try out eggcellent cafe this past Saturday for brunch. We arrived around 12pm and there was just a short wait to be seated. The restaurant was bustling but not too crazy. It seemed like service was moving fast which helped tables turn over quickly. I love how extensive their menu is, there is literally something for everyone. They also have a nice selection of specialty teas, lattes, coffees, and smoothies. We tried the tropical smoothie, iced lavender latte, chorizo hash, and eggtravaganza with Turkey bacon. Everything was cooked well. I especially love the potato's they are super crispy outside and pillowy soft inside and seasoned well. Next time I will opt for my egg to be fried medium as I'm not a fan of super runny eggs but it wasn't bad at all. Overall 9/10 can't wait to go again! read more

We went at around 12:30 PM on a Sunday and were seated almost immediately. The menu had so many options and all the names were so cute :)) The interior was super cozy&cute and our waiter was so nice! We got the berry cheesecake french toast and the green goddess sandwich and both of them were soo good. Both dishes were on the lighter side but definitely still filling -- the cheesecake filling in the french toast was so light and fluffy & the sandwich was so well-balanced with the pesto and avocado balancing the thick layer of eggs. The only reason why I gave a 4/5 is that we waited a reeeally long time for our food :( maybe try to avoid peak times! read more

Cute little brunch spot I had wanted to try out for some time! I had noticed that the few negative reviews for this place had mostly complained about being really slow over the weekend, so I was glad for an opportunity to visit during an off peak time. The ambiance was clean, cozy, and cute, with bright coordinated decor throughout. I appreciated the wide variety of options for a brunch menu, even though it definitely leaned more heavily on the number of savory than sweet options. I shared a benedict and a french toast with my friend and we really enjoyed both! The benedict was yummy but I think the sides were a bit sparse. The french toast was excellent and not overly sweet as well. There were options for ordering through a QR code, but we were served at the table since it wasn't too busy, and the prices were very reasonable too. I'd definitely be open to visiting again to try more things on their menu! read more

Came here with a friend from the area and holy crap were we blown away. It's a small place with limited seating but luckily they were able to accommodate our party of 5. The menus are all QR code so make sure your phone is charged. The menu was extensive and everything sounded amazing. I settle on the clucker Benny, my wife got the avocado truffle toast, a single blueberry pancake for my daughter and hash brown and my friend got the mexi hash with turkey bacon. The avocado toast was great, awesome flavor, only issue was should have said to make the egg over medium not easy as it was more runny than preferred but live and learn. The clucker Benny was amazing, probably some of the best fried chicken and hollandaise sauce I ever had, only wish I could have more sauce it was that good. The mexi hash was great as well and the pancake was gone before I could try. I highly recommend this place and will be back next time I'm in Philly. read more

Fell in love with this place and intend to visit every morning on vacation. The Korean Honey Tea was so refreshing and warming! The Royale Lox Benedict was exactly as promised. The Breakfast Banh Mi sandwich is BOMB!! I haven't had a breakfast sandwich like this before and it's officially my new favorite. It brings the freshness and acidity with the fresh and pickled veggies to the savory fried egg and sweet and salty sausage patty with a little kick from the chipotle aioli. I absolutely loved the added crunch and mix of flavors. Truly leaves you wanting to get it again the next day and the next day. I also got the hash browns (savory and good crunch) and a latte to top it off and both are great. Highly recommend these items. Excited to come back to try more! read more

My wife and I met my son and his girlfriend this morning at this place. What a great place. I had the chorizo breakfast tacos, my wife had an omelet and the kids had green goddess sandwiches. Psssst - The hidden gem were the crispy potatoes. The place was packed and the phone was ringing off the hook, but we got our food pretty quickly. It was worth the short wait. The tacos were the most flavorful breakfast tacos I have ever had and they did not skimp on the filling. Just the right amount of spice to make my bald head sweat. read more

This is an awesome, fun spot for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and awesome coffee and tea beverages. It's so pleasant to hang with a dear friend while having eggs-anyway with home fries, toast, and add on meat. I'd poached eggs with sour dough toast and sausage (patty not link). Dear friend had the same except she ordered over medium and chorizo. Portions are generous, I saw a delicious hot chocolate on another table that caused some envy in my heart ;) Staff is nice and the bathroom was very clean with some very funny but sensible rules posted (adorably framed). This cheerful spot is pleasant and bright while also calming to the spirit. Dear friend and I had a fantastic time! Go there! read more

Such delicious food & incredible staff! I ordered take out from here a couple of months ago and I enjoyed it so much that the next time I was in Philly (today) I just had to go back. We dined in this time and, who I presume was the owner, brought us to our table & he was super kind -- chatty and efficient! It was a busy Saturday morning so he was making sure everybody was comfortable sat while they anticipating their breakfast. For as often as I've been here, I can't believe I haven't reviewed? You don't have to be Green Eggs to have an egg themed brunch place that, yes, still has a line coming out the door on Sunday morning. I love the huuuuge menu and the variety that comes from it. You pretty much can't go wrong, but there was something about the potatoes that come with the egg entrees that made me dream about being in Old City so I can "stop by." They also do coffee extremely well and have an assorted array of pastries that are...usually sold out because they're delicious. Would I say the service can get a little slow? Sure. But I would wait an hour to eat here because good brunch for a decent price is not a commodity in this city. read more

So any add ons is too much in my opinion. The color was a good deep shade of green though. I prefer having this problem with my matcha over only being able to taste milk. A problem I've had with so many other coffee shops. Syrups are made in house!

We got the Dankaroo soft serve (vanilla and cinnamon swirl dunked in cookies and cream coating). The coating was very sweet, but the soft serve itself was not too sweet and a very nice texture. The texture was a bit more icy than traditional soft serve (which I prefer). The shop is very casual and does not offer any seating that I saw. Maybe they offer seating at an earlier hour, but not when we went.
