We went to the here for brunch and ordered Juevos Rancheros and the Banana Split French toast. Both had large portion sizes and were delicious, however, we had little reccomendations. For the Banana Split French Toast might benefit from having the marscapone more evenly distributed throughout the dish instead of one big dollop. The Juevos was a little bit moist, however, was very tasty and had a good distribution of toppings. Our service was amazing. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very helpful and was an extremely friendly person. He improved the experience substantially. We were told the wait would've been 15-20 minutes if we didnt go to the bar. We would definitely reccomend the bar if there is a long wait! The restaurant had a nice ambiance and was very clean! I had the buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings, which had great flavor and good spice. My wife ordered the buffalo mac n cheese with French fries, and the fries were dusted in each seasoning, which added a nice touch and good flavor. We also ordered a side of ham for our 1-year-old and were surprised by how large the portion was -- definitely more than expected. We came on a Sunday with a party of 3 - the line was long and we had to to wait about 25 minutes to be seated. The owner is very involved and it was nice to see him talking to customers. His children work there too. Once seated, service was good. I don't recommend the orange juice - there is no way that it is fresh squeezed . I sent mine back after one sip. For food, I got the Baja omelet which I liked. I really like the chipotle sauce they put on top of it . my fiance and his cousin got the Steak bowl. They said it was pretty good. The biscuits were yummy . Definitely a nice place to go for a family brunch . They also have a bar area All in all, I like this place. We stopped by there on a Saturday morning after reading the Yelp reviews. The line to get in was long, as it was after 9:00am. We decided to wait, and were glad we did. It was evident that this was a real neighborhood favorite when most of the families that were leaving either said, "Hey" to the owner or got a hug and a friendly smile and, "See you next time." I knew we were in for a good breakfast experience. I was getting eggcited by the time our table was ready (about 5 minutes before they told us it would be) and were seated by the friendly hostess who turned out to be the owners daughter. Our wonderful waitress appeared up almost immediately then returned quickly with water and coffee (I love the coffee). We asked the normal questions about the menu and she gave us a 'few minutes' to further examine the large menu of tempting breakfast and lunch selections. I wanted to try most of the breakfast items but opted for coming back another day to try something different instead. My wife, after changing her mind twice, finally settled on the Acai bowl, which turned out to be HUGE with organic Acai sorbet as the base with very fresh strawberries, bananas and blueberries, nicely arranged with a generous portion of crunchy granola on top. She would not have finish it all had I not been with her. She liked it, I loved it. I wanted to try the biscuits and gravy and, the pancake flight (cinnamon, very berry and cheesecake pancakes), and the Croissant sandwich), but I settled for the Crab Cake Benny but swapped the pita bread for the grilled Croissant instead, and substituted grits instead of the huge chunks of breakfast potatoes (since I always get the ones my wife can't finish. Note: We saw some HUGE omelettes go by and wondered what they were until one landed at a neighboring table. My wife leaned over to the petite mother of two and asked what was that large 6 inch around and 8 inch long brown and yellow mountain was on her plate. "Well, that's an omelette", was her reply, as she began splitting it up between her two small children and herself. It was really huge. All of the staff were friendly and very efficient. When a group vacated a table, a group of staff members IMMEDIATELY swarmed the just emptied table. Within a minute, there as no clue that anyone had ever sat there, and the next group of smiling diners sat down, ready to share a good meal together. I was amazed at how the owner and management staff were able to orchestrate the wait staff, the bus staff, cooks, bar tenders, hostesses, cashiers and a hundred or so customers so easily. It looked like organized chaos. But, everyone was smiling and enjoying their meals and seemed happy. Kudos to the team. Overall, we're eggcited to go back and try other items. My recent visit to this brunch restaurant was deeply disappointing and upsetting. After waiting nearly 30 minutes to be seated, my kids were waiting in the car as it was cold, rainy weather and barely any standing room. I was met with unnecessary hostility from the host. I had stepped inside alone while my three children--two of whom are very young--waited in the car to avoid causing disruption during the wait. When my name was called, I informed the host that I needed to call my children in. Instead of responding with understanding, he questioned my honesty and insisted he needed to physically see the children before seating us, stating he "hears that all the time." Despite this uncomfortable interaction, we were eventually seated. I calmly expressed my concerns about his tone and approach to our server. When my children joined me moments later, I approached the host again to explain that I found his behavior inappropriate. At that point, the situation escalated significantly. He became confrontational, claimed to be the owner, and loudly told us to "get [our] things and get out," refusing to serve us and creating a scene in front of other patrons. This experience was not only unprofessional but also humiliating, particularly in front of my children. My youngest, only four years old, was visibly affected and commented on how "mean" he was. No family should be treated this way when simply trying to enjoy a meal together. I cannot speak to the reasons behind his behavior, but the interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive. Regardless, this level of customer service is unacceptable. I hope this feedback prompts reflection and improvement, as no guest should feel disrespected or unwelcome. read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot in McKinney. The owner down to the bus boy. Everyone who works here is very good natured and fun. Nico behind the bar will make you some of the best boozy brunch drinks you have ever had! The espresso martini is my favorite. The food is also very excellent. My recommendation is the hashstack or the French toast combo. I will say if you show up Saturday or Sunday this place will be packed to the street with people so show up early and show up hungry. Very clean and not loud. Prices are decent considering the usual cost of the area and parking is easy. I would post photos of the food but my appetite gets the better of me every time. I was so excited to try this place, but unfortunately, I ended up a little disappointed. Eventually, the gentleman called our name & that of another family, then turned and walked inside. As we opened the door, he grabbed another couple whom he had apparently just been given our seats. It was barely 30 seconds to walk inside. He never waited and looked to see if anyone not at the door was coming. It was frustrating, but we waited another few minutes, and then we were seated. I originally ordered the meat lovers skillet with cinnamon toast. Unfortunately, it was way too salty for me, and I tried to eat it, but I started to get a headache. I informed my waitress, who seemed a bit annoyed and said she would get someone for us to talk to. Upon coming over, the gentleman informed me that this is one of their popular meals and is salty from all of the meats. My husband had the Cowboy omelet which was also full of meat, but not salty. The eggs were just overcooked. I responded with a smile & stated it was too much for me. I opted for steak & eggs instead.
