Came here on Sunday, April 19th at around 1PM. For a party of 6, 3 kids 3 adults. Ended up with a $120 bill. The portions were pretty sad for the kids plates. A scrambled egg and 2 pieces of small bacon for $13, doesn't even come with a drink. Totally not worth the price I would stay away from the Keiki menu, you'll be displeased and super disappointed for the cost vs what you get. Terrible value there. For the price you pay the quality and portion of food here is quite underwhelming. You'll find better value and service around the area if that's what you're after. We had such a great breakfast at Egghead Cafe! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. We ordered the pork belly benedict and the salmon benedict--both were so good. The pork belly was crispy and rich without being greasy, and the salmon was delish. Jenna the barista made one of the best lattes we've had in a long time (smooth, strong, and just the right temp), and our servers, Sierra and Tasha, were fantastic--friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. A lot of times when you go to a place that has great breakfast the coffee is just so-so. Not so at Egghead! Coffee is SO good AND they have espresso drinks! My daughter and I love crabcake benedicts so we try them whenever we can and usually pair them with a specialty pancake or waffle. Egghead has a crab cake bene too, but there is really not much filler to speak of, which makes it a bit dense if you're used to the other kind of crab cake. But it is delicious. And they really do a good job on the egg (my pet peeve is getting a poached egg without a runny yolk. I mean!). We paired with the tiramisu pancakes. Yum! They have a ton of benedict and omelette options, and I heard the pork belly is wonderful. So if you don't like crab cakes, try the pork belly! They also serve a small selection of wine and beer, so your brunch can be a bit celebratory if you like. This place is located in Kalihi in the Kapalama Shopping Center near the corner of Waiakamilo and Dillingham and if you have a party of 8 or more they will take a reservation BUT you have to all be present to be seated. So don't ask your late friends - or fake time them! :D There is tons of free parking and the customer service is wonderful. There are a few tables inside but not a ton. The space is clean and colorful. Service was also quick after we ordered. We ordered the strawberry pancakes and eggs benedict. Both were tasty and filling. The pancakes were especially filling so we took leftovers home. They were also fluffy and yummy. Right when you arrive, there's a QR code to scan si you can add yourself to the waiting list and you can actually track your what place you are on there, which I thought was pretty cool. And while you're waiting, they have a coffee shop/cafe where you can get different drinks and pastries and you can actually order food to go, so that was a nice way to kill time while you're waiting for a table. I got a tiramisu cold brew, which was so good I didn't realize how fast I finished it. It wasn't super sweet like most places. My girlfriend got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, which was too sweet in our opinion. It was just nice that they make their own vanilla syrup. But let me tell you about their banana bread - wasn't too sweet, had enough chocolate chips, had good texture from crushed macadamia nuts, had a little spice from the cinnamon, and it had a good layer of saltiness to it. And they served it warm. I'm back on the mainland drooling about it. We killed more time looking at their merch, which included shirts and stickers. They were all pretty funny and cute, I ended up buying a few things after brunch. The wait didn't feel long at all and they have a giant menu on their window so you could think about what to order and you could be ready when you're finally seated. We probably waited a total of 40 minutes when a worker came out and asked if we were okay with sitting at a big table with another party of 2. It was totally fine until I saw what they were eating and it made making a decision harder for me to order. But they were really sweet. I picked the pork belly omelette. I picked greens as my side and asked for a side of rice, but the waiter said it already came with greens and i could pick rice as my side, which was perfect because I didn't want too much food. The flavors of my omelette were delicious. The pickled veggies gave it a layer of tang, the pork belly was marinated in a shoyu sauce, and the whole omelette itself was topped with fried shallots/garlic and some other spice that gave it a really good flavor. My only complaint was the texture of everything inside. I wish they pan fried the pork belly a bit to give the filling of the omelette a little texture because the meat itself was a little squishy and the pickled veggies were all just pretty moist. My girlfriend got the shrimp and bacon omelette and they let her put the bacon on the side since she doesn't eat meat. Two strips on the side for me. She said it was really good, I didn't get to try it. The real winner for brunch though was the green onion pancake. By far the best I've had. It already comes with egg rolled into it. It's nice and crispy and it's topped with a sweet and savory soy based sauce. Not too much of it, just a perfect amount. I wish it was bigger. Lastly, everyone was so nice, making small talk about tattoos and giving us suggestions. They were all talking about how they love everything we ordered so it made us even more excited. Our last waiter made us laugh because he said "don't force yourself to finish, I could get you boxes so you could eat it later." My only regret with this place was not getting any of their sweets for breakfast. Their peanut butter French toast sounded amazing and so did some of their pancakes, but I just wasn't in the mood and I didn't wanna overfill myself when we had a flight back to the mainland later that day. Came for breakfast and was pretty disappointed with what I've ordered. I got their $14 breakfast chorizo burrito and spent an extra dollar for the sour cream, however, the size of the burrito was as big as a frozen burrito from Walmart so I don't recommend getting that if you're hungry. I actually went to Taco Bell around the corner after. We were sat on their two-top table with no condiments and had to flag our server down during rush hour. She also never checked up on us and also forgot my wife's soda but still ended up being on the bill. The food was pretty good but the price of that tiny burrito is mind boggling. There were two of us and we were seated right away. Being that it was my first time here, I wanted to try their signature drinks so I went with the Vanilla Latte. I asked our lovely server Megan if itʻs really sweet (as Iʻm cutting down on my sugar intake) and she suggested that they can cut the sweetness in half which was great! For kau-kau, I wanted to try something different and what caught my eye was the Green Onion Pancake. Megan did an awesome job of explaining what it is and i was SOLD! We came in around 11:00 on a Tuesday. We were greeting by a young boy who was very friendly. We got seated right away. They have qr menus or physical menus. We ordered the pancake trio: s'mores, strawberry and chocolate coconut. All were delicious! And all looked absolutely amazing. Cali omelette came with rice and small side salad. The bacon was crispy on the inside and the avocado was cut into small bites. Egg was cooked perfectly. I also got a macadamia nut latte with soy milk. It was okay. Would recommend and would come back if I was in the area. It's located next to the zippys.
