So much is written of this place. Still being on East Coast time, I came here for breakfast. I can't say much about parking as my hotel was a block away. Eggs N Things (ENT) opens at 6:00 am and I arrived at 6:30. Even though I was immediately seated there were larger groups forming. I came here for what many say is one of the best breakfast items on the island ... fresh Ahi and eggs. I had the ahi prepared with a Furikake-Macadamia crust and my eggs scrambled soft. The food came fast ... probably because I was early. The ahi was moist and tender and perfect. The eggs were soft and prepared nicely. I added the small cup of salsa on top that was provided. I would definitely eat this again! Don't knock fish and eggs for breakfast!!! read more

There are great local franchises that are more or less of a, for the lack of better example, modified Denny's. Don't be fooled, Hawaii has many of these types of restaurants which cater to the visitor and familiar enough to the locals. Eggs 'N Things is one of these restaurants that offer ambrosial local food for a reasonable price. The menu covers hybrids of "good-ole-fashion" American breakfast dishes as well as locally crafted dishes such as The Loco Moco. At Eggs 'N Things, you order at the welcome hostess table before entering the building. After you pay at the entrance counter you then get seated. After paying, you'll be seated at the table with a number, only which will be removed upon delivery of all orders. We ordered: the Loco Moco, Spinach Omelet with potatoes, Portuguese sausage and scrambled eggs, and Banana crepes. The food comes out quick and it's always a delicious breakfast! The coffee is a little strong but the fried rice and eggs was amazing and the portions are huge! I was already very full but I could not say no to the mango cheesecake crepe is the best crepe I have ever had. The area is so cute, a little small but very cozy. Eggs 'n Things is fast, convenient, and pretty inexpensive. This is a great go-to spot about 10 minutes from all the expensive hotel breakfast places (where loco mocos can cost up to $30, yikes). The service is quick. If you're an early bird like me, you can arrive here after your early rise, take a buzzer, get seated within 2 minutes and be out the door with your belly full in 15 minutes. Overall, great spot for simple breakfast foods like Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice (which I had like 3 days in a row). Not sure if it was really that good or if my love for Portuguese sausage is just blindingly bias. Definitely would recommend if you're on a budget/looking for that money-saver breakfast. read more

Husband wanted a hearty full breakfast and this was the place. He got eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. I opted for the 2x4 = 2 eggs and 4 pancakes. Way too much to eat. Seating is on the second floor and the place was extremely busy. Our table was near the door and host stand so no sidewalk view for us. Our toast was delivered about 15 minutes before the rest of our meal so we asked for some fresh toast. Definitely a diner feel. GreAt breakfast. The coconut syrup is a must try. The macadamian nut crusted was amazing, and it's title as best breakfast in Oahu is well deserved. Nice breakfast spot for all things musubi! Do expect a longer than average wait for all their locations (~30 minutes). Surprisingly, didn't try any of their pancakes options. We got the spam and eggs (simple yet delicious) and the Kalua Pig Benedict (only available in Fridays and served on taro bread). Although the food was delicious, the staff wasn't too friendly and service was slow. Space is pretty small, so the seating is very crowded and you don't have that much table space. Can see this being a con for big parties. They have a gift shop on the first floor, where you can shop for pancake mixes, honeys, and syrups (they have TSA friendly sizes available for carry-ons). read more

I'm so glad we did because the service, view and food were great! I liked that they were efficient. You order at the door, pay at the counter, and then get seated. What a great little place. Been going for about 30 years each time we come to the island and always is good. You might have to wait depending on when you plan to eat, but they have a good system and it goes fast. Had the Hawaiian Loco Moco, man was that ever good. This is for the Saratoga location - the only one that we have ever been to. One of our tour drivers suggested a different location. To begin with - the set-up of the restaurant is completely insane. There's tons of wasted floor space that could easily accommodate another 5-6 tables AT LEAST! Some tables are round and only seat 2 people but are put in rows edge to edge. The "chairs" are either one long bench and the other a backless stool. The other side of the restaurant is just wasted space and very few tables. The decor leaves a lot to be desired and seems to focus solely on marketing their restaurant souvenirs. We had to wait about 15 minutes and were just about to leave when we were seated at 2 of the round tables (there were 3 in our party). I ordered the macadamia nut pancakes. Which were just "okay" nothing special. I did get 5 good sized ones and that was unexpected. My husband got steak and eggs and he said that it was also only "okay". Our son had an omelette. He said it didn't taste right and it wasn't appetizing to look at it either. I noticed a sign on the wall opposite that said "please save a tree and take a pic of our takeout menu". Which was ironic since we were eating off of paper plates and using plastic ware and cups. The two high school/early college aged kids were completely inattentive and there didn't seem to be any manager in sight. Prices weren't terrible and that is the only positive that I can give. Visiting this place for my second time, food is okay but rude and unkind employees every time I visit here. Dining in can be tricky because its always crowded and I understand employees are busy. However, when just picking up the togo order, there was a male employee at the cashier, and he seemed confused and irritated. He didnt check the order properly, and when I asked him to confirm if that was my order, he cut me and ignored and just handed me the bag without answering. Won't be back and don't recommend. Finally had breakfast here after so many visits to Waikiki. The place is very deserving of their ongoing popularity. The food is outstanding in quality and quantities and price value. We already had breakfast when we stopped in and decided to eat a second breakfast at noon instead of lunch (why not). The crowd has subsided at this hour with only 30 minutes wait. We made good use of this wait in the Arnold's bar downstairs. The text that our table is ready came right when we just finish one cold beer. We shared one combination plate (2 eggs, 6 pieces of Portuguese sausages) and upgrade to get the macadamia nut pancakes. The hostess and servers were very nice. We wanted to sit in the balcony and they moved us immediately. The server brought out 2 utensil sets and the three pancake syrups and ketchups without us asking. The guava and coconut syrups were outstanding and unique. The pancake had macadamia nuts in the batter and a generous amount on top. The stack comes in 3 or 5z. We had 3 and it was plenty big to share. We will add this our regular must go favorites from now on. Highly recommend. Don't let the crowd discourage. Visited the Eggs n Things Waikiki location during a mini staycation. It's a neat little place tucked in off Saratoga. Check-in downstairs, restaurant is upstairs. It's a small place with lots of character. The staff was very friendly and helpful, multiple people checked on us often. I ordered egg and bacon with potatoes, husband ordered a cheese omelette and, since we were on a bit of a vacation, we let our son order chocolate banana French toast. All were delish. Although we wish they were all a bit warmer. Everything was just shy of being cold. With that aside, we will def still come back for a visit. Or even try one of the other locations :) read more

I'm giving a 3 stars for both food and overall experience. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great. There is always a huge crowd outside so we thought "this has to be good let's try it." We tried to order online but it wasn't letting us, we tried to call and no one answered, so we went inside to order to-go and the guy at the front said he couldn't take our order and it had to be done online and that there were over 30 orders ahead of us so it would be a while and that they were understaffed. We gave up for that morning and tried again today. We ordered online easily today, not sure what happened with their website yesterday. I ordered the crabcake Benedict, my husband had the beef and eggs, both came with a side choice. I added potatoes and pancakes, he added chocolate chip pancakes and we also ordered a side of bacon. My food had a nice presentation but I didn't care for it much, his didn't have a nice presentation but he said it was pretty good. The pancakes weren't anything special just your average Joe's. They have everything you could possibly want for breakfast. The best coffee I think I've ever had, and I'm a barista.
