Island burger! Really good BBQ sauce.

Great place to stop and get breakfast. We went there early in the morning on Sunday and the only reason they had a line was because they didn't have a ton of servers but the ones that were there did a great job. The prices are reasonable in about $20 per person not including coffee or drinks. The food was great, it's upstairs so you get a nice little view and get to feel the weather. This is my first time going, and I will definitely return.

Well, it wasn't the best breakfast I've had but it wasn't bad. Service was a bit slow and waiter seemed a bit disorganized (he forgot about our table at the end so we finally went up to the desk to ask for our bill). Was a bit hot inside but not too bad. Overall next time I'd skip the wait here and explore someplace new to me; there are a lot of breakfast spots in the area.

After hearing and seeing all the hype , the girls decided we will give this famous breakfast spot a try. We first went to another location closer to the resort and the host was so rude , we walked away and found this location on Yelp. I was able to use Yelp to get on the waitlist which helped shaved 29 mins off ( thankssss) Everyone at this location was friendly and engaging. I loved that this one was 2 stories with an open balcony . We ordered coffee , teas and brunch and everything was incredibly delicious that we took a to go order as well ! Mahea was our server and was such a good vibe ! We loved her !!! 10/10 all around !

This location is not my favorite; I prefer Ala Moana, but today they were closed because their power was out. The Saratoga location is smaller and parking is more difficult. I end up having to pay at the post office nearby, and the smallest number of hours you can pay for is 2 hours at over $11, so it's a ridiculous charge for parking in my opinion--and Ala Moana has free parking in their lot. Strike two: there's not only a 3% kitchen surcharge but also a 3% credit card surcharge. Why not just charge more for your food items and then pay the kitchen staff more/give them a raise? Ultimately it would be the same price but I will feel less like I am being nickel-and-dimed. Having multiple surcharges just feels different to me as a customer than paying more for my meal. I guess it's hidden costs versus up-front costs. In any case, you might not know about the kitchen surcharge until you get your receipt to check out. Ultimately, I always enjoy the food at Eggs 'n Things. The fresh fruit rainbow pancakes are some of my favorites, and the waffles are great too. The fruit is fresh and the whipped cream is a huge amount. But when I check out and not only am I paying $21.99 for my pancakes, $17.99 for my partner's waffle, nearly $10 for two coffees, and then 3% for kitchen staff, 3% for credit card surcharge, 4.712% Hawai'i sales tax, and now my meal is near $70, plus the parking next door for $11, a meal out for two people is getting dangerously close to a hundred bucks. I live in Waikiki and there are cheaper places for me to eat that are just as delicious. Eggs 'n Things, I've been coming here for years and I love you, but you are getting close to pricing me out for breakfast at your place.

Unreal! Best loco moco I've had. Their sauce mixed with fresh mushrooms was so good! There's always going to be a wait so prepare for that.

We have been to the Eggs 'n Things in the Ko Olina location so many times (over the last 3 times we have been to Oahu); this was the first time at this location since we were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Service: The service was great. Ambiance: The ambiance was nice and clean. Food: We all got our favorites and they were great: * Pancakes with strawberries and blueberries: My younger son and wife shared this and it was delicious...very VERY generous helping of the whipped cream. * Veggie Omelette: You guessed it...I got my old favorite here (with egg whites)...it was OK (I have had better but it was a generous portion!) * Eggs and bacon: My older son got the eggs and bacon and it was tasty (per him) but the portion as you will see from the pic was small. I would recommend this location but we all preferred the Ko Olina location much more. I will give it 4 stars...you should go if you are thinking about it!

Breakfast food is delicious!!! Staff friendly. Ordered French toast and pancakes. Serving size is huge worth to share. However, you need to be really early cause long wait if you're not there prior to doors opening. Worth the place to have bfast in Waikiki.

Fried rice - lots of yummy stuff inside.

This is a "must eat here" when in Waikiki! We were here 10 years ago and couldn't wait to return. It was just as wonderful!!! When you go ask for Jin. His personality is the best! Tye place is small and your neighbor sits close. In the Aloha spirit; just embrace it and enjoy.

Took my parents here for lunch since we haven't tried this location yet. Food: Decent but expected better from such a popular spot. Salmon Benedict was okay, sauce was a bit bland. Using taro bread was a nice touch! Omelette was good. Not too salty. Pancakes were not as fluffy as we would've liked. I've always raved about their coconut syrup. It's so good and definitely elevated the pancakes. Even my picky parents enjoyed it, which says a lot! Service: Our server was friendly & the food came out fairly quickly. We were seated on the 2nd floor on a hot day. Not ideal for open-air seating (no AC). Parking: There's no dedicated lot. They suggested parking at the post office across the street ($10 for 2 hrs); we managed to find a metered spot nearby.

These are the Mochi waffles with straw berries except not mochi and no strawberries

2nd day in a row they gave us the wrong order. Today just gave me attitude that we didn't order what we said. Then tried to make it like it's our problem it happened 2 days Ina row! Manager could not be more bitter angry and less helpful. Will never return after 7 years of coming every day on vacation Oh and bacon burnt beyond recognition as well

Good ambiance, good service extremely fast, very tasty, nice selection of menu and specials. I had the pork chop and eggs over the rice.My eggs will cook perfectly, and the pork chop is extremely juicy! Definitely recommend this breakfast spot the rope until 2 P m

Waited over our wait time and there was a lot of empty tables but we understand that there could be understaffing. Ask for countertop if you want to wait less we weren't aware you can do that. We got the macadamia nut pancakes which were regular pancakes which were a little dry plus macadamia nuts on top powered sugar we added whipped cream, these needed syrup and wish we liked them more but they were simple. The kalbi was a small portion, the eggs and rice were good. The marinated meat was flavorful but was a little touch and not as tender as others I'd had on the island. Overall we wouldn't wait for this place luckily we got on the yelp waitlist but still ended up waiting a lot longer than expected. It's a cute little spot with a lot of souvenirs you can take home which we did take home for some friends. I like the shop a lot.

There was a line but didn't have to wait that long. We went from #9 on the waitlist to #2 in about 5 minutes. I didn't realize how small and outdated the place was. It needs a total makeover! Esp the single seating, they were basically facing an empty boring wall Staff super friendly. Food came fast but it was just ok. Nothing to write home about. The hyped up fried rice I read about on the other reviews was nothing to hype about ‍ We deconstructed the rainbow pancakes bec we wanted to taste the macadamia nut pancakes on its own. A little disappointing but we still ate it :) 4 stars for the staff. 3 stars for the Food and 1 star for the ambiance.

Eggs 'n Things Saratoga Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Eggs 'n Things Saratoga

Do they still serve mochi waffles, or mochi pancakes?

Yes, we do. At all 4 Oahu locations.

    Do they serve oatmeal?

Unfortunately they don’t serve oatmeal. But they do have a great variety of other breakfast options!

Do they still have gluten-free waffles? Somebody wrote a review about their gluten-free waffles? And does anyone know if they serve oatmeal?

Yes to oatmeal no to gluten free

Is all the seating upstairs? What if someone is in a wheelchair?

We have two tables on the first floor designated as ADA seating.

Do they do grubhub or DoorDash?

Yes, they do. As well as other delivery options.

Can you make reservations or is it waitlist/walk-in only?

Waitlist walk-in only! But you can add yourself to the waitlist on yelp to help save time before you get there

Dear Eggs & Things: If you have a reservation do you have to wait in line?…

You may, depending on when you show up and the wait list. As soon as you get there tell them you have a reservation, and they will try to seat you right away but remember there may be others with same reservation. This happened to us but it went…

    Where can you park?

There are several options, and none of them are free unless you have a Handicap Parking Card, or your car is an electric vehicle. The post office paid parking is the closest, but isn't cheap. The meter parking on Saratoga is available early or…

    Do they have Kamaaina discount?

Not sure. As stingy as they are I doubt they have any discounts.

The menu had been completely revamped and seemed to take on a more local influence while still being very upscale. Since we both enjoy "sampling" we shared two appetizer and a main. Everything was bursting with flavor! This is what we had: Starter salad from the seasonal menu of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and greens served on a bed of yuzu infused goat cheese and drizzled with a shiso chimmichuri sauce. Yes, bursting with flavor! I would return for just this dish! Next shared was a tempura battered cauliflower served with a robust curry and yogurt reduction. Deeeelicious. I wouldn't say we licked the plate... but I won't deny it. Hahah. Finally shared the seafood in curry soup (think a lighter version of laksa) served with white rice on the side. Holy moly. No words to describe. Portions were generous enough to share still next time, I won't. That memorable you won't want to share. Further research revealed Chef Lance Kosaka has brought experience from noteworthy restaurants: Top of Waikiki, Merriman's, 53 By the Sea, and most recently Mariposa. I am hoping he will bring in a notable creme brulee that I loved at both the Top as well as Mariposa! Not wanting the deliciousness of Chef Steve's cooking to end, I also ordered a warabi salad to go for the next day. It was...just as wonderful as the other dishes we enjoyed. Thank you to Servers Gale and Lily, Chef Steve, actually...the entire staff who elevated a casual evening of dining to be a most memorable experience! Thank you to sister friend Karen who insisted we dine here, for the most wonderful company and meal. Validated parking in the building accessed on Seaside. Well, the Monkeypod Kitchen Mai Tai is that "song" for me. No matter how many months pass between trips to Hawaii, it's the one thing I'm always craving. First stop after our five plus hour flight is to always sit at the bar and hum my way through a Mai Tai. We've tried competitors' Mai Tais, but Monkeypod has THE BEST Mai Tai on the island (possibly the country)! It contains a double shot of rum, so pace yourself if you're a lightweight. What makes this extraordinary is the lilikoi (passion fruit) foam on the top. It's the reason I am "passion"ately in love with this cocktail. We've eaten at a table in their main dining room, however, we really enjoy bar seating during Happy Hour, which is from 3:30pm-5:00pm, daily (except select holidays) and again from 9:00pm-11:00pm. It is first come first serve at the bar. If you prefer table seating, be sure to make a reservation. The wait can be long without one. Their Happy Hour items include all of their appetizers at half price, excluding any seafood. Cocktails are $4 off, beers $2 off, wine by the glass $3 off and the pizzas (excluding the Bourgeois) are $17. All of the items we've tried are super delicious and the bartenders are all very friendly and professional. They also provide live music daily, at 12:30pm, 3:30pm and 7:30pm. Live music always adds such a refreshing and lively atmosphere, perfect for those vacationing vibes. Come for the sounds of the ocean waves, spectacular views, live music and of course, their fabulous Mai Tais. * Check their website for current Happy Hour menu items and pricing, as well as current live music times, as they may change periodically.
