I was really craving for pancakes so I decided to check this place out on my last day on the island. I highly recommend joining the Yelp waitlist for this place. I came on a Wednesday morning and joined the waitlist even though it was estimated to be a short wait but ended up waiting longer than expected. I got the fresh fruit rainbow pancake which was stacked with fresh fruits! The pancakes were so fluffy too. There were crushed macadamia nuts on top which was a nice addition. My husband got the eggs Benedict which was decent. Our server was nice but I could tell that she was pretty frazzled from how busy it was. It seems like everyone has their own role and I don't think she could take on that many customer's food orders at once. Several times she was unsure if a table had already ordered or not. We had also ordered a POG juice but she had forgotten about it. When we told what I'm assuming was the food deliverer person about it, it still was never delivered. This place was good but nothing really stood out to me. I think that the business needs to hire more workers or have a better system because what they currently have doesn't seem to be working. read more

We did as suggested and went ahead and checked in on yelp before getting there. We still had about a 10-15 minute wait so I do recommend planning about 30 minutes in advance. My fiancé tore his eggs Benedict up- and said he loves traditional eggs Benedict but this was different and the best rendition he's ever had. The strawberry pancakes were very good but were a little pricey. Make sure you say if you want the macadamia nut on the whip cream in case of allergy- I didn't know it came. We enjoyed the place as it was beachy, friendly and quick. All you can ask for in a breakfast restaurant on vacation! read more

Yummy aloha breakfast that won't break the bank. The kids loved the pancakes (we did too - didn't even use the syrups). Fried rice was legit (for those raised with an Asian parent, you know what I mean) Service was friendly and just the right amount of attention. Great options for everyone. read more

This is a nice restaurant with friendly people and great hospitality. We were recommended to this restaurant by a resident of Honolulu. The restaurant is clean with a pleasant and nice atmosphere. On the weekends the wait in a little long, so don't go starving and impatient, it is definitely worth the wait. We try and go at least once every time we visit. The food was so good, we all ended up sharing what we had, I can't even tell you the Benedict was so good and not too much sauce on top. The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. read more

Stopped in for breakfast because I had to try Loco Moco while in Hawaii. This place had history, so I gave them a shot. The wait time was only 10 minutes for a seat or to take out to go. I opted to take mine to go and eat on a bench out in front of the restaurant. The food was good and hearty as expected, but it was very fresh and hot the spot since I was hungry. The restaurant had lots of items in their small store front. I purchased a hat at around $25. It was worth it. When your in Waikiki, hit up Eggs and Things, a hearty quick stop. read more

Eggs n things is a cute but small breakfast spot. They have all the usuals plus some with a twist. Service was friendly and location was pretty, across from a park. The coconut syrup was my favorite. Eggs 'n Things is a locally owned business that has been serving Hawaiians and tourists alike for more than 40 years and they have the reviews to back up their success. We have been to Eggs 'n Things twice while in Waikiki and both times the service and food was very good. It's important that you get in the waitlist early because it can take up to 2 hours to be seated. I was able to get on the waitlist through the Yelp app and it saved a lot of time. The menu is very diverse and has many well know breakfast items that you'd expect and some surprises. Our waitress was timely, professional and courteous. She was patient with us and made some great recommendations for us to try. The portions sizes are great for the price you pay and in Waikiki, it's hard to find a bargain breakfast or any meal that's affordable. The ambiance is very casual, average noise level and comfortable. The dining room is small and that's one of the reasons why the wait time can be extremely long. Wow unsure why this place has 3 stars! Mehealani (sorry I know I messed up her name ) she was the best waitress! She had patience for my 2 yr old causing a tantrum. She has 16 grandchildren. I wanted to try Eggs 'n Things the first time I went to Honolulu but it wasn't in the cards. However, I made sure that I went the next time I was in Oahu. I tried to go to the Waikiki location but it was packed. Luckily, this location was a short 15 minute walk away. I only had to wait 10 minutes after my walk. I was glad to be able to get in with little wait because I joined the waitlist on Yelp. I was in for a treat because I came in when they had these limited time Spam menu. I had to make sure that I tried something. I got the spam and pineapple pancakes with a plantation tea (pineapple juice and iced tea). I got a lot of food. The pancakes were a stack of three topped with diced spam and pineapples. It was delicious! Plus, I can't wait to come back and try their panasadas (malasada pancakes). read more

Lovely spot on the beach but this place is definitely overrated. My short ribs were basically jerky and I got a tiny thing of kimchi for $20. The food was amazing. We had the: Portuguese sausage & eggs: soft scramble with white rice -- the eggs were perfect, while sausage was grilled just right. Fresh strawberry whipped pancakes -- the pancakes were soft and the strawberries were firm sweet and uniform size. The whipped cream with macadamia nut sprinkle were great. Plantation Iced Tea (pineapple juice & ice tea) -- so refreshing and yummy. I had two. Hawaiian loco moco (w/ Fried Rice) -- it was yummy and perfect. So nice, we went twice (back to back days)! We got the pancake sampler and a burrito with Portuguese sausage the first day and banana pancakes + corned beef hash and eggs the next day. Instead of potatoes, I got a short stack of pancakes and added bananas. Word of advice, it's too much, so if you're going with someone and sharing, just get the potatoes or rice. I loved this little spot for a Hawaiian breakfast. I got the island fried rice with eggs over medium, which was packed with ham, bacon, veggie and little fish cakes. Was absolutely delicious, and a really uniquely flavored fried rice. Also got an iced coffee during the short wait for our seats. Honey drizzle which wasn't too sweet...or maybe I just ate the parts that didn't have. Baby ate almost 1.5 pieces and even liked the Jalapeno Butter that I just dabbed on her bread. She said wasn't spicy but think she just didn't have enough. - Bone Marrow - lit it on fire to burn off the alcohol. Pretty sure it ddin't get it all so I cut baby off once I realized it. Other than needing some salt, really good. Choke mushrooms on top. One half was scrawny, but hubs had the other half for leftovers and choke marrow. YUM. - Sunchoke and Brussels - YUM. Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. Great dinner...but if anyone is listening...bring back the shrimp and grits!!!

Passed through recently for happy hour, served undercooked chicken, mid cocktails, at a table no one cared to balance. Flies joined us for our meal. At this point most restaurants in town appear to be fronts for money laundering, the owners are not investing, likely just complain of low margins after they extract their inflated take. Skip this place. Learn to cook at home. Note, alot of restaurants receive an inflated aloha rating... bad gets a pass because people want the best... but propping up the worst with aloha gets you undercooked food.

This is clearly a popular local coffee and snack shop so I will keep this place in mind since it's locally owned and operated and their decaf is processed via osmosis, not chemicals. I would come back to just order that! The top filling tasted like a thick creamy brown butter green tea-flavored icing. The filling inside doesn't taste like brown butter and less thick but still really good. Overall, they had really good food and items from the bakery.
