To start the line for this place was for a good reason the plantation pork chops were perfect and the pancakes were delicious. The view to see the Waikiki beach front was spectacular and also felt like a nice hometown diner. However the one thing that brought it down was the service. We got on the waitlist and we were second in line when the host said we were late and that very second we received a text saying we were taken off the list. We had to wait for a table but the food made up for it. Would recommend just go when patience is available read more

A few things to consider: i suggest you check in through yelp because if you check in when you arrive or elsewhere, you will wait longer times to be seated. We waited close to 1 hour and kept seeing people that had just checked in go first. The food was good. I got the ahi with eggs and pancake stack with some water. Food was good but i would not have waited almost an hour. Place was a bit small in the inside but the customer service was good. Wow this place was BUSTLING when we stopped by on a Wednesday morning! We came in around 8:45ish and it already had a wait time of 25-38 minutes. I really liked the step by step procedure of how to secure a wait time slot, and the instructions to head to the second floor once we got the second text. I wish I knew ahead of time to sign up for the wait list on Yelp. Service was friendly! Now let's talk food. I ordered the chicken and waffles. While portion size was BIG (couldn't finish) I was a little disappointed in the chicken. There were only two pieces, small and boneless filets. I'm used to having Popeyes style chicken and waffles back home in Houston. My siblings also ordered the Portuguese sausage and there were only 3 pieces of meat along with an abundance of pancakes, so I feel like the dish was very carb heavy. I did like the waffles though! A friend of mine recommended Eggs 'n Things and I'm glad I stopped by for lunch. The restaurant is on the second floor while the first floor is a shop where you can buy their merchandise. I was looking at the honey bear water flask but managed to hold back. I'm still thinking about it and you can purchase online from their website. I waited about 5 min and our table was ready. We went upstairs and was seated right away. Our waitress is so friendly and gave us a few recommendations. Here's what I got: Hawaiian loco moco Kalbi & eggs w/ kim chee Blueberry Whipped Cream Pancake Iced Kona rainforest coffee I enjoyed my meal and can't get over the whipped cream pancake. I went to the Eggs n Things in Ko'Olina and enjoyed my experience so I was excited to bring my family to visit the Waikiki Saratoga location. We arrived about mid-morning, so the wait once we checked in on the tablet was expected(30ish minutes). The storefront portion had themed souvenirs available while the restaurant itself was on the second floor with stairs on the outside of the building. All the workers were so friendly and fun to talk to. Our waiter, Jonas, was very welcoming and attentive. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get and probably one of the best places to get a full breakfast. We ordered the loco moco, kimchi fried rice, spam and eggs, and mac nut pancakes with added bananas and fresh pineapple. Our order came out so fast! We all enjoyed our food and I definitely recommend the complimentary coconut syrup for any of the pancakes or waffles they have. read more

Eggs n things was a favorite of mine when I lived on the island 12 years ago. It was so nice to return and have the same great quality breakfast I remembered. As a key pointer, ask for the coconut and Guava syrup and mix them together over your pancakes. It's LIFE CHANGING. The service was great and the food was worth the wait. We loved this place so much we went twice in our week long trip. The ENT burrito is perfect if you want something hearty and not sweet. Mochi waffles are amaaaaazing. This is a local chain of breakfast restaurants, we jumped on the Yelp waitlist 40 mins before arrival. This is recommended during peak breakfast times as they were BUSY! This place is no frills, but the food is good and prices are reasonable. I ordered the Moco Loco, I've never tried it before and it was yummy and set me up for the day! This restaurant was hands down one of my favorite spots to eat during my time on the island. I ate here 3x (twice alone and another time I took my colleagues and they agreed it was good and some of them are picky eaters). Patrons eat on the upstairs portion of the building but you have to check in downstairs first. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. The first time I got the sweet Hawaiian roll French toast with strawberries, the second time I got the chicken and waffles, my final visit I got the French toast again but with pineapples. At all three occurrences the food was delicious and they have this coconut syrup which is bomb! There can be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. Also there are little birdies that linger around but they know not to bother you until you leave the table. Once you leave, those birds know you're done and the food is there's for the taking until the staff cleans up. Also, if you use a credit card, there is a 3% processing fee so it may be good to pay with cash. read more

My blood sugar is low and I can feel myself getting light headed too. I am getting hangry as we approach the hour wait now. We are second in line after 55 minutes. Ugh. This food better be worth the wait. My hands were quite shaky from waiting an hour for food. We didn't leave for another walk place since other places might have a wait too. Ordered a coffee and a mixed fresh fruit juice, a morning wrap with the Portuguese sausage, add jalapeños and pepper Jack, a veggie omelet with added jalapeños ($1), green onions ($2.25) and Turkey bacon ($2.25) with the included side of pancake, crispy ends and an order of onion rings. Nothing here is complimentary at all. I would have rather paid a little extra order for the French toast. $46.43 is our total today. The pancake is crispy and crunchy and the pancake is fluffy inside, it's not bad, still not quite the way I wanted it though. The veggie omelet is okay, lots of Turkey bacon and spinach and a of zucchini. Need the salsa the jalapeños for flavor. I couldn't taste the pepper Jack at all either. I was recently in Waikiki and my goal the whole trip was to not eat resort food, so I researched the best breakfast near the Hilton village, and found this place. So I'll start with saying that the whole process of getting into a restaurant for food in this area can be quite the wait time so I will be happy to share with our Yelpers that they offer to check you in on yelp. It made it nice so we weren't waiting to eat for hours. I ordered the loco moco with a side of Macadamia nut pancakes. Let me start with the loco moco. It was the best loco moco I had all trip the farm fresh eggs and the beef patty just made it all go together right, and the entree has grilled mushrooms and onions as well. I'm hungry thinking about it... Then to follow the entree up with the best pancakes on Oahu! I mean these things were so fluffy and never got soggy throughout the process of me eating them. I came to this place for breakfast around 8:00am. While waiting for a table, an elderly man with a mask on at the host stand asked me a question. I had my headphone in and I have hearing loss. It's on a busy street. I couldn't hear what he said so I asked him to repeat it. He said it again and I still couldn't hear it so I asked him one more time. He stares at me and says "never mind" with a seemingly frustrated demeanor. This was off putting to me and changed my energy. Have more patience with your customers -- you never know their situation especially if they have a disability. It also took a while for the waitress to come out once seated. To be honest the menu forces you to order separate if you want meats, potatoes or eggs with your specialty plate ie. French toast waffles etc which is pretty pricey. The eggs were not worth ordering but overall everything else was good . I got the pineapple whip on my pancakes an açaí bowl my husband got the fresh fruit sweet bread chocolate chip pancakes and açaí mochi waffles . It was all good !
