If I could rate this location lower than a 1, I would. My last day in one of my favorite cities; and I was HIGHLY disappointed. First and foremost, I placed an order online. My order wasn't ready and I got there 5 mins after the pick up time. They had to go find out where it was. There were only 5 people in the restaurant who were already eating their food. So I was already annoyed by that point. I got back to my hotel to eat, which was only 8 mins away, and my food was cold. It wasn't hot or even lukewarm, cold. My orders were completely messed up. Only 1 order should have had grits, they gave me 4 orders with grits. I didn't order that; but yet was charged for it. The other 3 orders were supposed to have home fries and only 1 came with it. Then, I ordered sausage patties on the side and didn't even receive that. So you misplace my food, the food is cold, you charge me for items that I didn't order, you charge me for items I did order and don't receive and lastly my order is completely wrong! Maybe my review wouldn't have been so bad if the food had a little bit of flavor/ seasoning on it. However, not even the salt &pepper packets could help out the blandness. Just awful! I'll never recommend this place or ever go back. I even tried to contact them on their website; however, what a waste of time as that didn't work. Terrible experience and place. read more

We eat at Eggs Up about twice a month and it is usually wonderful. This time was so disappointing. We were seated and the restaurant was not as busy as it usually was. We ordered and after 20 minutes asked our server if she could check on our order since it never takes that long. She checked and said it had only been twenty minutes and there were still two orders ahead of ours. Ten minutes later our order came, and everything was not even warm. We asked for a manager and the server said she would get her. A few minutes later we got up and found her ourselves. She couldn't even be bothered to come to our table. All she did was make excuses, they were understaffed, the kitchen was busy, the restaurant was crowded. Sorry, there is no excuse for cold food. We left, and we will not be back. There are so many other restaurants that want our business. read more

Hadn't gone out for breakfast in ages, so was actually very excited to go here and sample its huge variety of breakfast foods. Some of the offerings were off the charts in the creativity department but I was hankering for more of the classic morning dishes. The breakfast burrito hit all my requirements - eggs, peppers, onions, sausage and pepper Jack cheese all rolled up in a perfect tortilla package. Salsa and sour cream came on the side. My husband ordered a ham and Swiss omelette , potatoes and sour dough toast. Service was super friendly and quick. Our plates looked good when they landed on our table. A closer look at my burrito however, gave me a tinge of disappointment. The ingredients were not sautéed together, just simply layered. The cheese wasn't even melted and resembled rice. The taste made up a bit for the lack of adequate construction but it could have been oh so much better if all the ingredients were cooked together. My husband's first bite of toast made him smile so he was hoping the rest of his meal would be of the same caliber. Not sure what kind of ham or cheese they use but talk about tasteless. There was no balance to the ingredients and seasoning was non existent. His potatoes looked super crusty and inviting but no amount of ketchup or hot sauce could awaken these dead spuds. There are way too many breakfast places in the Charleston area to try so no reason to return to this place. read more

Mediocre at best. We were very excited to have this location pretty much in our backyard. The first few times we went the food was good and the service was attentive. I've taken out of town guests there twice now and both service and food have declined significantly. This past time we waited over 45 minutes for food for a party of 4. To go orders seemed to take priority over patrons eating there. My omelette was bland and lacking ingredients.. my daughters egg Benedict was over cooked and dry. The potatoes were tasteless and room temp. We didn't bother trying to get our orders fixed as we'd been there over an hour already. Our server although polite... was not concerned about our orders or wait. There are many other breakfast places in Charleston that we will visit instead. read more

Had the Greek omelette, the eggs were over cooked, rubbery and a bit burnt. I could not finish. The Wife ordered two eggs over medium, also over cooked, yokes hard. Cute little farm fresh spot for down home hospitality. Delicious shrimp omelette with grits, comfy cozy mocha latte, scrumptious avocado toast, and patriotic red white and blue waffles. Delish! Recently ate here. Waited 25 minutes to be seated and then another unknown amount of time for the food to arrive. It used to be a good place to eat but now expect long waits. Our server was responsible for 8 tables and 30 people in the outside seating area. She did the best you could, but the restaurant over seats and the kitchen simply can't keep up. Eggs Up is a delicious little breakfast spot! Have been there twice now and enjoyed it each time. We have been seated quickly and had nice servers both times. Plenty to pick from on the menu and all at a decent price. The bananas foster french toast is amazing! The bananas are a little crunchy with the crystallized sugar on them which makes a good texture to the meal. We will for sure be back! read more

This is new construction so the ambience is pleasant although it does get noisy. Fantastic food and in generous portions. Eggs Benedict is always perfect, the eggs perfect and runny. They always have lots of staff on hand so you get plenty of attention and drinks are replenished without having to ask. read more

Being that the restaurant is in our neighborhood, we go every so often. Occasionally the kitchen will miss special requests, but overall the service has always been fairly good. Recently had a wonderful server by the name of Devon. She was warm and very sweet, and served with the biggest smile on her face. She alone is the reason I would go back more often! I know that really great people are hard to find in the service industry and I think she deserves praise for how attentive and amazing she is! read more

My parents and I stopped here for an early lunch and everything was great. Our waitress Kalyan was amazing and the food was great. I had the bacon double cheese burger while my parents had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and an avacado sandwich.
