Goodness Gracious Omelet. Side Home Fries

I've been here several times now. I've held off reviewing only because my family likes it, we go often, and I keep waiting for it to be better so I can give a better review. I will just rip off the bandaid, sixth times the charm. They stay pretty busy and they have a pre arrival waitlist, but I have not been able to find it. Most days we have a small wait to be seated. Interior is really basic and super cost effective for the owner. It's a really basic open room with a bit of art on the wall. Chairs are terrible! It's like sitting on concrete. I don't blame them though. Get your arse up and leave so I can make more money!! Tehehe Servers are young, pleasant, and energetic. Service has never been an issue and most folks are actually very good. I've seen management dealing with pissed guests and did a great job. Guy with glasses and bucket hat. No issues here. Food is here/there/everywhere. I have not had an instance where all of my meal was good. Eggs overcooked constantly and on every single visit, almost every plate. Cold sides. Watery gravy. The sausage patties are really low quality, the biscuits are frozen, held, then grilled to recharge. It's just generic, factory made food, I feel like it is quality of c-store food. It's cheap dollar-wise so I guess it matches up like for like. Three stars stands for "A-ok". I must remember that it is ok to just be ok. A lot of times, I myself, am just "A-ok". If someone asks you how you are and say "A-ok", that would be considered very good I would imagine. So. I think this place is very good then! The unreachable 4th is due to a few things that keep repeating themselves on every visit mentioned above. I will continue to patronize this place and if it ever gets better, I'll bump it up. They do sell food you can eat for nourishment of your body. That's a win!! '25 - 105/111

Little Waffle In The Hen House

Been here a few times before. Decided to go here after Christmas worship service at Harvest Church Memphis. Waited about 15-20 minutes which was nicely less than what was quoted. Our waitress Ashley served us and was welcoming and attentive. The noise level was moderate which is to be expected. Wife got the the Little Waffle in the Henhouse which is 1/2 waffle with eggs and bacon. The waffle was nice and fluffy and the eggs and bacon cooked to order. I got the Homestead Platter which included scrambled eggs, 4 bacons, 4 sausages which I got 2 patties and 2 links as well as biscuit and gravy. Enjoyed it well. Overall experience was good and would recommend for breakfast and lunch.

Caramel Apple Crisp Pancakes & Caramel Cinnamon Smile

Wonderful place to grab breakfast or brunch! Food was delicious, service was great, & the atmosphere is cute, but relaxed. Caramel Apple pancakes & peachy Palmer were delish!

I love the fact that you can digitally join the waitlist and have updated estimate time online. That's a plus when you're not sure how long of a wait before you go. Seating is pretty standard: tables, a low-top bar option, and what looks to be a party room. Moderate noise and spacious enough not to feel overcrowded. The service was good, not great, but not an issue at all. The food took a while to come out as we watched people who ordered after us receiving their food but once it finally did, it was well worth the wait. Hot, fresh, and well seasoned. My only take away on the food is the sweet "filling" on the French toast. I WILL get it again but take my advice and ask for them to only put it inside OR on top, not both....its waaaaaaay too much. Other than that, there were 6-7 more options that I didn't get to order so I will be back!

    Goodness Gracious with bacon

What a pleasant surprise! I had no idea it was a chain because they make you feel like you're at a friend's house. The place is cozy and welcoming, and the food is just amazing. The Goodness Gracious was perfection and the crispy bacon is actually crispy. The staff is super friendly and finding parking was pretty easy - bonus. Great spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends, family even a light brunch date - they have mimosas and lattes. Definitely recommend!

Omelette with onions spinach and cheese, wheat toast and home fries

Best omelette in the area! Service is always pleasant. Today they went above and beyond and sung Happy Birthday to my daughter and gave her a treat. Tip: use the Waitlist on their website to check in if coming after to church.

Decided to finally come and take advantage of my birthday breakfast. I'm familiar with this gem due to my door dashing in this area on Saturday mornings. I often wait on ppl more than should. So I decided long ago to JUST DO ME! Anyway, my breakfast was OUTSTANDING. My server, pardon me I've already forgotten her real name but she's wearing name tag HAWAII. I'm sorry Hawaii. I'm bad with names. Lol. She was personable, energetic and just plain ole nice. You don't get that a lot anymore. Thank u. . The ambience is always sunny n vibrant due to large windows and the music is right on time. The kitchen is right view so one can see the action at least the expeditor? (Calling the action at window). So if you get up early enough you too can enjoy this gem of a place to dine. Opens at 6am. I was first today. Thanks everyone for getting my Saturday off to a great start.

Loved it! I have seen this place several times while driving by. It's in a strip mall. Very clean and open atmosphere. Service was good and good came out super fast! I had an omelet but it was more of what I would call a scramble. Not bad at all!! Would go again!

My daughter and I came to eggs up to try it on a day off from school. We were seated and then promptly ignored for 15 minutes. They weren't even that busy! There is nothing special about the food, it's like being in a cafeteria. The service was friendly. Once they finally showed up at our table, the coffee was fine. It's just another breakfast place.

The Toasted Yolk gave us a little bit of everything--some hits, some misses, and one bartender who…read moremay have found a new calling. Avocado Toast Let's start with what should be one of the easiest breakfast items on any menu. Avocado toast doesn't need much--fresh avocado, a squeeze of lemon or lime, cracked pepper, sea salt, roasted tomatoes, cilantro, and a little love. Unfortunately, mine arrived with chunky raw onions, a few tomatoes, and not much else. The bright flavors that make avocado toast shine were missing. The sourdough bread, however, was perfectly toasted and had a great texture. Eggs Both dishes were ordered with eggs cooked over hard. Both arrived over easy. That's a simple request that should have been easy to execute. Salmon Benedict Presentation was nice, but the seasoning department apparently took the morning off. Salmon naturally has great flavor, but it still needs something. A squeeze of lemon, a touch of cracked pepper, sea salt, fresh herbs--anything. The salmon was bland, and the hash brown casserole followed the same theme. Breakfast Potatoes We ordered potatoes with grilled onions and received potatoes topped with the same chunky raw onions that appeared on the avocado toast. Not exactly what was expected. Now for the stars of the show... the drinks. The Mimosa was delicious, refreshing, and exactly what brunch should be. The Sidecar deserves special recognition. When the bartender admitted they had to Google how to make it, I became a little nervous. Turns out I had no reason to be. That Sidecar was fantastic and easily the best thing that hit our table all morning. Whoever made it absolutely knocked it out of the park. Final Verdict The Toasted Yolk has potential, but the kitchen needs to become friends with seasoning. The ingredients were there; the flavor was not. A few simple additions--lemon, pepper, salt, herbs, and attention to cooking eggs correctly--would have dramatically improved the experience. Will I return? Yes. The drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant, and there's enough on the menu to give it another chance. Next visit, I'll be ordering something different and hoping the kitchen brings a little more flavor to the table.

We were greeted at the door and seated promptly. The restaurant has a bustling commotion and an upbeat vibe inside. I ordered coffee and a juice and my mother ordered a coke. We put in our food order right away with our friendly server, and it was a fairly short wait before we had food on the table. Mom had a ham melt with Gruyère and tomato, served with potatoes. I had a Barbacoa beef breakfast bowl with eggs, black beans, pico, tortilla chips, ranchero sauce, shredded beef, and a lime crema. They were mindful of my avocado allergy, and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced, great service, a good atmosphere, and a good experience overall.
