My husband and I had an errand date this past Saturday to Tampa and arrived during breakfast. Hungry and not knowing where to go - Yelp to the rescue! We found The Brunchery just a few minutes from where we needed to be, right off of I-75 and Bruce B. Downs Blvd. They are open for dining in (and take out/delivery) and we were sat immediately. All of the staff were very pleasant and polite people, efficient and helpful - never neglected but they didn't hover. We chose not to have coffee, but stuck with water, but the coffee smelled very good here. I think we were the only ones not drinking it. (Water comes with lemon, so if you don't want that, you need to tell them immediately.) Giant chalkboard on one wall with specials had us drooling, but I had already spotted the BLT Avocado Omelette on the menu and any other tempting item couldn't lure me away from that. It took my husband a lot longer to choose. Our food arrived promptly, hot and very fresh. My omelette came with seasoned potatoes, but I asked if they could substitute anything else, and they had choices of grits, tomatoes, and. fruit cup (up-charge for fruit) so I chose tomato. The tomatoes were lovely and super fresh. Oh, there was a biscuit on the side that was light and very fluffy. The BLT Avocado Omelette itself was a treat. It was a spinach omelette with Swiss cheese, topped with another tomato, bacon, more cheese, and avocado. The omelette on the bottom actually stayed hot longer that way, with the cooler items on top instead of being stuffed inside. My husband ordered The Brunchery Benedict, which was poached eggs, ham, mushrooms & Swiss. I had a bite and it was delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfect. He had the seasoned potatoes with his. I tasted those as well, delicious and he agreed, but there was a lot of them (and that Benedict was very large) and he said he wished he had substituted tomatoes for his as well. The prices were great for the amount of food we received. We talked about how we wished there was one of these close to home in Lakeland because there were SO many things on the menu we would love to try - and we didn't even look at the lunch menu! Our server was Ian. He was super nice and friendly. Everyone there is nice and friendly. The coffee is great and they have ID flavored creamers! I had the 2/2/2. Eggs cooked perfectly. Bacon was delish. French toast is amazing. Cooked perfectly. The orange cream cheese was rich and delish. My gf had the loaded pancakes. She said the pancakes were possibly the best pancakes she has ever had in her entire life. Let's talk about this super delicious breakfast/brunch spot! The interior is simple but pleasing and relaxing. It's not too busy and it's calming despite the lack of decorations within. Social distancing is enforced and there are tables outside for those to sit at as well. Tables are wiped down between customers and staff wear masks. The restaurant was very clean and the staff attentive. When we arrived there was no wait and we were seated quickly. The menu is varied and there are some great selections at great prices! Our waiter recommended three things from the menu to include the steak and eggs sandwich, the strawberry stuffed French toast, and the country skillet. I was in the mood for savory so I went with the waiters recommendation and ordered the country skillet. I have to say out of five stars I'd rate it a 4/5. The only thing I'd improve on is a a little more gravy on the dish. Other than that it was delicious! The biscuit was so soft and fluffy! The eggs were fluffy and delicious! The potatoes were perfectly fried and tender. My only issue was there was TONS of onions but that's on me for not catching there was onions in the dish. I'd have ordered light on the onions or no onions at all. However, if you're in a savory mood I'd say go for it! My friend ordered the strawberry stuffed French toast special for 12.95! And she let me have a bite and it was soooo delicious! Honestly if I could have ordered like a side of that it would have perfectly complemented my savory dish. The playing was delicious and so beautiful! We did order the hot chocolate and while it was good, it wasn't the best hot chocolate I've ordered from a breakfast/brunch restaurant the whip cream was ok, but next time I think I'd skip on it. Just went here with my husband for the first time. We moved from dallas to Tampa/ Riverview a year ago and I have been searching for a new favorite place and this is officially it!!! It's definitely busy and packed on a Sunday afternoon but the food is well worth it and the service is great. We had Karen O and I know I can be a little picky on breakfast and asked for cheese on the side and eggs over cooked for my omelette and recommended the breakfast burrito for my husband and both orders couldn't have come out better! I ordered from the specials which is written on a giant chalkboard wall, can't miss it. I ordered the bagel and lox platter with a side of grits and requested cheddar cheese on top. Note: you do not get a side with the bagel and lox platter, which made it seem a little pricey to me. My platter was $13 (excluding the grits). The grits were very delicious. They gave a little butter on the side and I added a little extra salt and the grits were perfectly creamy and the cheddar cheese made it savory. My husband ordered the steak eggs benedict, which consisted of your typical English muffin with hollandaise and egg, but with shaved steak. His side was potatoes. You know the minute the plate is put down that those eggs were cooked to perfection and ready to ooze over the dish when you cut into it! They basically jiggled when you moved the plate. Some things to note are that they have daily specials on the far wall that's not listed in the menu. My friend got the Country Fried Steak (I loved this, I wish I got it). It was so juicy and tender and we both appreciated the subtly salted gravy. I ordered the New Tampa Benedict which was good but didn't wow me as much as I expected. Both dishes had the eggs and home fries cooked perfectly. The side of bacon my friend ordered was crispy just like another Yelper mentioned. However, it lacked flavor and tasted like cardboard; that's not a deal breaker for us though and we will be coming back! They offer coffee of the day, today's being butter pecan. 12/3/24 - A friend and I met for an early lunch. It was the first time here for both of us. We were greeted immediately and taken to a corner table, which we loved since there are no booths. Our server, Ashley M, was at our table just a few minutes later and brought us beverages quickly. She returned after giving us a little longer to look at the menu. In response to our question about the Kids Corner options we learned it is not only for kids. YEAH, and the portion of omelet and potatoes my friend ordered was still generous! I ordered the Eggtown Benedict, 2 perfectly poached eggs, on grilled ham, mushrooms, Swiss cheese on an English muffin, topped with hollandaise sauce. Oh yes and a side of potatoes. Really had to take half home because hungry as I was I couldn't eat it all. We had great service from Ashley, and amazingly tasty food! Note to management, keep the server and the cook(s). My friend and I have agreed that though we've had good meals at this time of day elsewhere, this is going to be our new regular meeting place. Our morning started off at Egg Town with friendly faces and a fresh cup of coffee. Cute little farmhouse style interior with seating for inside and out . We were greeted right away and offered a morning cocktail or coffee. Friendly prompt service that sparkled at every table . We ordered the egg town skillet and BLT omelette. A new breakfast spot just opened in the area, and we had to check it out. I had visited The Brunchery in S. Tampa when I first moved here. I don't know if it was the same one, but I do know there's one in Valrico. I called in first to check the wait and was able to put my name in. It was a Sunday which I know is usually a busy day for breakfast. Once I checked in, I was quite impressed that we were seated very quickly considering the amount of people waiting outside. That was sweet. Calling ahead did work! My hubby got the Brunchery skillet, and honestly nothing really called my name so I picked the salmon benedict. You know when you have something somewhere else, and it is so good you want that again. That was me. Both our entrees were just ok. I thought his looked like more potatoes then anything else, and he thought it was too salty. I ate mine, but yeah didn't remind me of the last time I had it else where. I did ask for the hollandaise on the side so I can lay it on there myself. I didn't like the salmon grilled. It's smokey already, but the smokey-ness comes out even more and I just felt like there was nothing special about it. The Brunchery is a new desayuno joint in New Tampa. It occupies the former Boston Market in the Starbucks/Orange Theory plaza adjacent to the AMC Highwoods 20. Brunchery is next door to Moe's. They are open from 7 am - 2pm and serve breakfast and lunch items. Pros: The white/black decor. It is clean and modern. I like first Watch but it feels a bit dull as a brown guy to go sit around in brown furniture (I can do that at home lol) My server Jimmy was very warm and curious as to how I liked my meal. He kind of reminds me of a younger Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World (K-I-T-T or Kitt if you prefer?) I ordered the Orange Pecan French Toast ($9.25). It was 3 pieces of FT with orange flavored cream cheese and garnished with pecan fragments. It was very filling and had a different flavor profile. I wished it had more pecans personally. I got my food in less than ten minutes. The place was clean and the hostess lady even gave me a free piece of baklava which was cool. Prices are commensurate with places like first Watch and Keke's ($8-12/ person) Misc. I feel that their specialty pancake selection is less than first watch or Keke's. They had regular, pumpkin,and ones with fruit IIRC. They have egg related things, crepes, and other items so you wont be struggling to pick something. I am biased towards specialty pancakes and I saw on another brunchery menu things like "coconut pancakes" so I was a little dismayed that this branch doesnt have them. 3.5 stars. A satisfactory brunch establishment. Nothing was bad, yet nothing stood out as exceptional. Our 6 mouths did not explode w/ bursts of amazing flavor combinations. Not one of us is dying to return, yet we won't hesitate to stop in if we're in the area & hungry for breakfast or lunch. In 1989, a year after the original location opened in South Tampa, my then husband & I stopped in repeatedly; we couldn't get enough of the cream cheese & crab omelet w/ side of home fries! I was excited to check out this new location. (Unfortunately, you won't find the omelet on the menu.) Sitting on Bruce B. Downs (& just west of I-75 & Glory Days), The Brunchery does not have a large dining room. There are no booths, but many tables that can be combined for larger groups. There are four outside tables (w/ umbrellas), as well as metal benches for those holding onto pagers. Locally owned & operated, it is open seven days a week from 8 till 2 PM. Inside, you'll see a large "Specials" chalkboard; however, the board is deceiving. ALL the items listed were the same regularly-priced items found on the menu. When you eat here, you'll have a choice of 8 Omelets; 7 Benedicts; 5 'Heart Healthy' options; 4 Country Skillets; 6 'Sweet Temptations;' 4 Breakfast Sandwiches & Wraps; 2 egg breakfasts (Feature & Triple 222); 4 Salads; 12 Sandwiches & Wraps; 5 Kids Corner entrees (no age requirement); 15 Sides (no hash); & 6 Beverages: Coffee; Sodas; Tea; Milk/Chocolate Milk; Hot Chocolate; & Juices. My Breakfast Burrito (SEE PIC) was good. It should have been great. It was large, & due to its size & thickness it required something stronger than Cheddar, such as Pepper Jack. The sausage pieces were small & rather limited-- which contributed to the Burrito's lackluster flavor. Definitely a fresh-tasting entree, but nevertheless a tad disappointing. All five offerings are available to the young at heart. SEE PIC of the hearty $5.95 egg option-- large egg; 2 slices of bacon; & one French toast. Additionally, there are MANY sides offered here-- all can be combined to create an entree. Three menu areas where I'd love to see IMPROVEMENT: add a side of Corned Beef Hash; currently, if you want hash, you'll have to order a Lazy Frog Omelet or the Brunchery Sandwich. Offer more varities of cheese to improve entree flavor; & even though not federally required for chains under 20 locations, add CALORIE COUNTS to the menu. Will I return? Yes. Someday. Visiting Tampa under unpleasant circumstances and we were in search of a breakfast spot with a variety on their menu. Since we were across the street at the LaQuinta hotel, we decided to give The Brunchery (TB) a shot. With it being a Sunday, we expected a line which they didn't disappoint lol. It was only a 25-30 minute wait but the sun was finally out after a stream of cold days in Tampa so sitting outside in the sun was much needed. We were greeted once we walked in although it was a lot of people standing around waiting on to-go-orders and other people waiting. One of the worst experiences is for a place to be overwhelmed and not still acknowledge their customers. We eventually were seated and after maybe 5 minutes our waiter stopped by and took our drink orders. I ordered a mimosa which TB uses fresh squeezed OJ based on their blackboard so I wasn't a fan of the champagne/OJ so only ordered one and didn't finish. My bf ordered one of their specialty cocktails which he enjoyed. I'm pretty anal on my mimosas and do tend to judge lol. We ordered food and I went with Eggs, Grits, Turkey Sausage and French Toast. The grits were lumpy in some spots but overall a good meal. Our waiter was pretty attentive showing up frequently at the table which is always a good sign. Prices were also reasonable. Great location, the atmosphere had a lot of chickens from where I sat so assuming this goes with their aesthetic lol. I got an iced caramel macchiato again and definitely was not disappointed, so delicious. My friend got the 222 breakfast and did French toast, sausage links (eggtown gives you the option of links or patties which is awesome) and eggs. The French toast was great, the sausage links were HUGE and they were very good. The eggs (for both of us - we chose scrambled) were okay. The potatoes are always out of this world here. My family and I went here solely based on reviews where it was highly favored. I was excited to show my parents and mother in law some staples around the area. The food was great. I had a croissant with egg cheese and bacon with potatoes. I nearly drank half my water before recognizing that there was a single strand of hair creeping outside the water. I alerted the waitress whom had an attitude of that's the norm where she simply stated let me get you another one. I'm sorry but how can someone drink or eat anything else after that? There was no apology or let me notify the manager on your behalf just let me get you another water like I needed a damn refill. To be very candid: I was shocked by the older waitress that didn't have a care in this world. Taste - first the bacon wasn't that crispy and the grits/eggs could've used a bit more salt . The pancakes were nothing special pretty standard so for this was a 6.5/10 for me.
